Anna and I woke up about the same time the next morning and stood. I headed out to the kitchen to make coffee while she went to the bathroom. When she entered the kitchen I handed her a cup and began putting cream and sugar into mine. Once the coffee was done we poured it into the cups, making one for Derek as well. I grabbed my cup and his as we headed out towards the front door.

"He's still there isn't he?" Anna asked in amusement. I nodded taking a sip of my coffee, taking note of the fact that he was asleep.

"You can break the line now." I told her.

Anna's eyes flashed purple and a small wind picked up blowing across the line and breaking it. I took a few steps forward and pulled the door open. Derek, not expecting his back rest to suddenly disappear from behind him fell backwards with an "oof". I smiled down at him. He stared up at me blinking slowly trying to wake up fully. When he realized where he was and what was going on he scrambled up to a standing position. I chuckled and took another sip of my coffee.

"Did you learn your lesson?" I asked holding out the cup of coffee I had made for him. Derek groaned and stretched, I winced at all the pops and cracks that resulted from the motion. He reached out and grabbed the cup taking a long sip.

"Yes." He grumbled out. I nodded and stepped forward.

"Good. Next time you see Scott I expect you to apologize." I told him sternly.

"Okay." I leaned forward and gave him a kiss. I could practically feel the tension and stress lift from him as our lips met. As we pulled away Derek lifted up a hand and grabbed my chin making me look him in the eyes.

"I'm sorry." I reached up and grabbed his hand and pulled it from my chin. With the sincerity of his apology pulsing through the bond I placed a kiss on his palm and squeezed his hand.

"I know."

On our way home my ears perked at the news over the radio that there had been another death last night. A mechanic was crushed under his vehicle lift, and was discovered by a teenage boy coming to pick up his vehicle. I quirked an eyebrow and exchanged looks with Derek.

"Can you hack the system and find out who the kid was?" Derek asked curiously. I groaned.

"Maybe. It's been a long ass time since I've had to do that."

"You can hack?" Isaac asked curiously from the back seat. I shrugged.

"Kinda. Not really. Usually I just go in as FBI or something so I don't have to hack in. I fucking hate computer work." I grumbled. When we got home I pulled out my computer and settled in on the couch after a quick shower and change. I began by googling the accident trying to see what information I could gather before trying to hack the police department. Turns out it was a good idea because as I pulled up the first news article I got a glimpse of the car that was on the lift. A blue Jeep. I pulled my phone out and typed out a message quickly.

Stiles! We need to talk after school.

About what?

The theme for my baby shower... about the fucking auto shop goof.

Sorry wrong number. I rolled my eyes at the boys reply.

Isaac, Derek, and I pulled up at the train depot later in the afternoon. Boyd and Erica were supposed to be here within the hour. I jumped down from the truck and grabbed my speaker out of the back. Slamming the door I turned and followed the boys inside. I sat the speaker down and walked over to one of the beams and picked up the rope that had been used to restrain Anna and then Rich and Jason. Derek glared at the rope and I smirked.

"I still can't believe you let them go." Derek grumbled. I rolled my eyes and tossed the rope off to the side.

"Would you rather I killed them? That's definitely gonna help us make peace with hunters." Derek rolled his eyes and began surveying the area choosing not to answer me.

"This will do nicely until we can get the property back." I nodded in agreement and pulled my jacket off leaving me in a work out tank top and some leggings. I began stretching.

"What are you doing?" Derek asked me curiously as I moved from my arms to my legs.

"Just because you're not going to let me train the betas doesn't mean I can't get in a work out of my own." I told him and smirked as I felt a shot of lust go through him. I peaked around my leg and saw him staring at my ass. I winked and Derek sent me a small amused smile.

"Can I work out with you?" Isaac questioned from his perch on the stairs. I straightened up and nodded at him. I grabbed my phone and tossed it on-top of the speaker as my workout playlist began to play.

Isaac and I spent the next 45 minutes doing different exercises. We did some sets of stair climbing, lunges, crunches, push ups and squats. Derek began to move things around in the depot finding different obstacles and setting the area up for his training plan. Once we were done I grabbed my water bottle and took a few sips before tossing it to Isaac. I turned to Derek.

"I think you should let me do a demonstration with you before you start to train them." I told him. Derek automatically shook his head.

"No." I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms across my chest.

"C'mon, D. You and I both know none have them have probably ever been in any type of fight before. They need to see one before."

"No. Cora, I'm not putting the baby in any more risk than necessary." I rolled my eyes.

"The baby's not going to be in any danger if it's you, D. We both know that. I'm not saying it needs to be a hard core demonstration. Just something to give them an idea of what to do." Derek's eyes flashed red at me and I sighed as his voice took on a commanding tone.

"I said no, Cora." I sighed, but nodded and moved to sit next to Isaac on the stairs.

"You'll just have to critique us from the sidelines for now, preggo." Isaac told me nudging my arm. I smiled and turned to the boy.

"Isaac, did you just tease me?" He smiled for a moment and nodded his head.

"Yeah, I think so." I threw an arm around his shoulder and pulled him into a side hug.

"Awwwww! I'm so proud of you! You're getting comfortable!" I heard the boy snort in amusement and felt a shot a pride flow through me. Our conversation was cut off by the sounds of a car pulling into the lot. As the door shut I picked up two sets of footsteps and the voices of Erica and Boyd.

I sighed as I got Stiles' voice mail for the twentieth time and hung up the phone watching as Isaac began to run towards Derek. Seeing as he'd tried this move five times already I knew the out come and resorted to picking at my finger nails, flaking off the black polish. I winced as I heard and saw, out of the corner of my eye, Derek catch Isaac by the throat and slam him to the floor.

"Does anyone want to try not being predictable?" Derek asked in irritation. Erica launched herself at him from the rafters and I growled as he caught her and she attached her lips to his. I stood quickly, vision red, barely acknowledging the shot of disgust I felt flow though the bond as Derek threw Erica off of him. He spit and whipped his lips.

"You're not going to do that again." Derek told her the disgust evident in his voice. I stalked forward slowly.

"Why because I'm a beta?" Erica retorted from her place on the floor. I growled and stalked closer. I went to lunge, but was stopped by Derek wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me tightly to him.

"No, because I am Cora's. You pull another stunt like that and I won't hold her back again." Erica scoffed and stood.

"I'm not scared of her." My wolf had begun to calm down at Derek's declaration. I let out a sarcastic laugh.

"Erica, back off. She's the Alpha female. Just deal with it." Isaac growled out in irritation. A pang of gratefulness went through me.

"Why? Why does she get to be the Alpha female? Doesn't the strongest get that title? I want a shot." Erica snapped turning back to Derek and I. My eyes turned red again and I pushed Derek off of me.

"Are you challenging me, girl?" I growled out, Erica squared her shoulders and nodded.

"Yes." I felt a feral smirk over take my face as I allowed the shift to take over.

"Well come on then. Let's get this over with." I remarked. Erica let out a growl and lunged at me as she shifted. I rolled my eyes at the sloppy technique and as she reached out to swipe at me with her claws I grabbed her arm and twisted. She cried out and tried to swipe at me with her other arm, but I grabbed that as well. I pulled yanking her towards me before, tipping my head back and colliding it with hers. Her nose broke and she backed away clutching it in pain, and shifted back as she backed away from me. Pain and embarrassment seeping from her like puss from a wound. Smirking I allowed my self to calm down enough to shift back focusing on Derek.

"Now. If you're done being stupid. We can get back down to business." I told her with a cheery smile. She eyed me wearily, but lowered herself to sit down beside Boyd as the blood started to stop.

"Are we done? I got about a hundred bones that need a few hours to heal." Isaac asked from his place on the floor, all three of the betas were eying me wearily. Derek strode towards Isaac and reached for his arm.

"Come here. A hundred and one." He snapped and he pulled Isaac's finger back and snapped it.

"Derek!" I exclaimed in disbelief and rushed forward pushing him away from the cowering boy. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" I growled out angrily.

"You think I'm teaching you how to fight? Huh? Look at me! I'm teaching you how to survive!" Derek yelled at the betas, ignoring me in the process.

"If they wanted us dead why aren't they coming for us now? What are they waiting for?" Isaac asked wincing as I grabbed his finger and pushed it back into place so that it would heal right.

"I don't know. But they're planning something. And you, especially, know that's not our only problem. Whatever that thing is that killed Isaac's father, I think it killed someone else last night. Until I find out what it is, you all need to learn everything that I know. As fast as I can teach you." Derek told them solemnly before stalking off towards a set of doors in the depot and slamming them behind him. The three teenagers looked at me in confusion. I sighed and stood, helping Isaac up.

"Fuck. Alright. Go home. We'll pick you guys up later. We're going to find out what Stiles knows at the lacrosse game." I instructed them before turning and stalking after Derek.

Upon entering the room I saw Derek sitting on an old bench.

"Don't start." He grumbled out glaring angrily at the wall. I moved to sit next to him and flopped down onto the bench.

"We suck at being Alphas." I told him leaning into his shoulder. Derek quirked an eyebrow as he looked at me curiously.

"You think so?"

"Well yeah. I mean, I had anger issues before the whole werewolf thing and you're just kind of an asshole." Derek snorted and leaned back throwing an arm around me pulling me into his side more. I snuggled up and sighed.

"We'll figure it out."

"Well let's hope we do soon, or we're just going to end up pushing them away." Derek nodded in agreement.

"How are you feeling? Pregnancy wise." I shrugged in response.

"I'm not sure. I mean, I haven't had any symptoms that would make me think I am yet, but it's only been like 9 days. I did stop and pick up a test yesterday though. I read that some of them are sensitive enough to pick it up a week after conception."

"Why'd you pick up a test? It's not like you don't know you're pregnant." I shrugged self consciously and didn't respond. After a moment Derek turned my face to look at him. "Hey. Talk to me. What's on your mind?"

"I just, I never got actual proof. I mean I know an angel told me, but... part of the process of finding out is peeing on that stupid stick and waiting the long ass two minutes it takes to know. And I guess with how crazy everything has been lately I just wanted a bit of normalcy. And you know me. I have a hard time just going on blind faith. Is that dumb?" Derek smiled softly and shook his head. He dropped his head towards mine and placed a gentle kiss on my lips.

"No, it's not. I get it. I'd probably feel the same way if I couldn't tell you were." I looked at him dumbfounded.

"Huh?" He smiled in amusement at my oh so intellectual response.

"Your scent is changing. Not a lot. Just the tiniest bit every day. I'm guessing it's a hormonal thing. At first I thought it was just because of the bite, but Isaac, Erica, and Boyd's scents all settled within hours of the change." I nodded. I guess that made sense.

"That's actually kind of cool." I grinned and Derek smiled back.

"C'mon. Get up." I stood with him and began following him out of the room.

"Where are we going?"

"To get your proof."

I exited the bathroom and sat the pregnancy test on the nightstand next to my side of the bed before climbing onto the bed and settling in between Derek's legs. He set a two minute timer on his phone before dropping it onto the bed and pulling me closer so my back was snuggled up to his chest and his chin was resting on my shoulder.

"What are you hoping the baby will be?" I asked curiously in an effort to take my mind off the count down on the timer. I felt Derek shrug.

"I don't know if I really would prefer one way or the other. It'd be cool to have a boy that I could teach basket ball. Maybe even coach someday or something. But it would also be entertaining to have a cute like smart ass, fiery little girl to watch drive you up the wall with her attitude that she'd likely inherit from you." I snorted.

"I think I'd prefer a boy. I'd probably pull my hair out if I had to deal with a mini me." Derek laughed. "But it would be pretty funny to watch how you reacted when she started dating." I felt Derek stiffen beside me.

"I take it back. I want a boy." I snickered just as the timer went off. I pushed away from Derek and reached a shaky hand out for the test. Derek squeezed my shoulder and I felt him lean forward to get a look at the test.

Two blue lines.

A large smile broke out on my face as the proof I had been hoping for was in my hand. Derek leaned forward and kissed my shoulder.

"No denying it now. We're gonna be parents." He whispered.

"We should probably go get Boyd and Erica." I told Derek as we laid in bed. We'd been cuddling since the test just laying there lost in thought. Derek nodded in agreement.

"Why don't you go ahead. I'm going to stay and talk to Isaac for a minute." I quirked an eyebrow but nodded. I stood and gave him a kiss before grabbing the keys for my truck and heading out.

I pulled up to Erica's a few minutes later and could hear her rustling around inside. The curtain by the door pulled open and I saw her through the window before she disappeared and the front door opened a few minutes later. As she climbed into the truck I could smell the nervousness on her. I sighed and threw the truck in reverse backing out of her driveway.

"I'm sorry." I told her as we started to head towards Boyd's. She looked to me curiously.

"For what?" I rolled my eyes.

"Don't play dumb, it's not a cute look on you. You know what for." She looked sheepishly to the floor.

"Look, I don't want to be the kind of Alpha that beats her betas into submission. I've seen those kind of Alphas be overthrown time and time again, but that also doesn't mean that I won't put you in your place if need be. Yesterday and today are two examples of that. You're new. I get it. You feel like a whole new person. You're stronger, faster, healthier and more confident. Trust me I get it, I've been a werewolf all of a week longer than you." She scowled at me.

"You don't get it. You were beautiful before the bite."

"You were always a good looking girl Erica. Society and asshole kids just made you feel like you weren't because of your sickness." She rolled her eyes.

"Don't believe me? Fine. That's your own prerogative. But there's a lot for you to learn about being a wolf. Stuff that I have an upper hand on because I grew up with them. Derek and I have known each other since we were kids. He went from my best friend to the guy I was pining after for years. Just for him to come back to town one day and us to go from friends to two people bound together for life." Curiosity spiked and Erica spoke again.

"You and Derek. You referred to him as yours and... today he said the same. What did you guys mean?"

"Derek and I are mates. Werewolves have this interesting ability to claim another person as their mate. It's basically the werewolf equivalent of being married but a hell of a lot cheaper and a deeper bond."

"Care to elaborate?"

"When a werewolf claims a mate it's usually a conscious decision between both parties. They make this decision and then perform the claiming during sex. It can be between to wolves or a wolf and a human. During the climax of the sexual activity the bite is given and the bond is formed. It allows the couple the ability to feel each other's emotions, locate the other from anywhere, know when the other is hurt and in some cases read the others mind."

"That's actually really cool! What do you mean by usually?" I chuckled.

"Well, Derek and I. We never actually decided to become mates. We got caught up in a moment and next thing I know I'm waking up tied to him for life."

"Why did it happen that way?"

"There's something called true mates. It's so rare most think it's a myth. It's basically the equivalent of soul mates. In the lore when these wolves meet the urge to mark each other is instantaneous, but because I was human the bond was dulled to the point that Derek didn't even realize that's why he felt so connected to me his whole life. I think part of it also stems from us being so young when we met too."

"Is that why you turned?" She asked curiously. I shook my head and turned onto Boyd's road.

"No I turned because I was bitten by another Alpha, the one who turned Scott. Any turning bite from an Alpha that isn't a human true mates Alpha is fatal to the human. Derek killed the Alpha and turned me so that I, Well I guess we, wouldn't die."

"We?"

"If a one mate is killed in a true mates pair the other dies as well." Erica sucked in a breath.

"Jesus." I nodded.

"Yeah it's some pretty deep shit." She was silent for a minute until we pulled into Boyd's driveway.

"I'll stop hitting on, Derek. And trying to challenge you. I'm sorry." I smiled at her in relief.

"Thank you. I know you don't quite understand yet, but there is more to pack than what Scott would like everyone to believe. Pack is all about family. Blood or not. He just hasn't had the best experience because of how he was turned and I just... I want that for us. For all of us. I grew up with the Hale pack and I just hope that I can be even half the Alpha that Derek's Mother was. This is the first step towards that. So thank you."

Derek

Once Cora left I headed out to the living room where Isaac was watching tv. I sat down on the other end of the couch unsure of the right thing to say. I could see Isaac glancing at me out of the corner of his eye and the nervousness rolling off of him was almost palpable.

"I'm sorry." I finally spoke turning to look at him. He looked at me and nodded but I could tell he was still wary of me. I sighed.

"Look. I'm not good at this stuff. I shouldn't have done what I did. Especially to you, with your background. I wasn't, I wasn't thinking. It won't happen again. I want you to feel safe with us and I'm sorry that now you're questioning it because of me." Isaac nodded.

"It's okay." He mumbled. I let out a humorless chuckle.

"No it's not. You're pack. Pack is family and that's not how families treat each other. Sure there's shows of dominance, but that's not what that was."

"I get it, Derek. You're worried about the hunters and whatever killed my dad. And Cora and the baby. I do get it. But you know how my dad was. Thank you for apologizing. I forgive you." I nodded and stood.

"Alright. Thanks. I'm gonna go check on the others. Stay here. Call if you need us."

Cora

I sat at the game with Boyd and Erica trying my best to focus on Stiles and the game, but let's be honest I was failing. Between the alternating emotions of murderous rage and fear trading off like runners in a relay race inside me at the sight of Gerard and urge to grab my pack turn tail and run I was having a pretty difficult time. I was finally able to focus back on on Stiles just in time to see him "slyly" slide up next to Allison and take something from her hand. Something that I'd bet was Gerard's judging by the coat she'd borrowed. Stiles took off towards the school and after a moment of contemplation I stood.

"I'm going to check on some thing. You guys stay here. I'll call if I need you." I turned to leave but thought better of it speaking to the two betas once more.

"Don't draw any attention to yourselves." I order before turning back around and heading in the direction Stiles had gone. I caught up with him as the whistle ending the

corner blew. Stiles looked up from the window of Lydia's car.

"Can you just give me five minutes? I know, I'm sorry. Just, but, just stay here, continue crying - or not crying - if you want, or whatever works for you, um, but just stay here, and I will be right back, and then we can talk - About anything. Yeah? Okay, just five minutes." I shook my head at Stiles. Girls like Lydia don't wait around for boys like him and it broke my heart because I knew how much Stiles likes her and how good for her the boy could be.

I continued to follow Stiles through the school. It wasn't hard to determine where he was going, the principle's office. I watched curiously as he entered using the key chain in his hand. He began searching the desk.

"Book, book, book. Nothing. Here. Oh m -" Stiles mumbles to himself through his search. I knocked on the door cutting him off and causing him to jump. I snickered.

"You've been ignoring my calls, Stiles. I gotta say I'm a little hurt."

"Cora! I- I uh- you've been calling? Weird. I never got any." I rolled my eyes and leaned up against the door.

"Whatcha looking for?" I asked curiously.

"Oh uh-"

"C'mon Stiles. Don't lie to me. Please? You guys keep treating me like I'm the bad guy."

"Well I mean you are with Derek." I scowled at him.

"Derek's not the bad guy here either! Why can't the two of you fucking see that?" I growled. Stiles back up nervously and threw his hands up.

"Whoa no need to wolf out!" I shook my head.

"Cmon. Let's go for a walk."

"You know I really should be getting back to the game." I growled at the boy.

"It's not up for discussion, Stiles! You've been dodging my calls all day and I need to know what you saw. You and Scott can't handle this on your own. This is the kind of stuff I've trained my whole fucking life to do. So we're going to go for a walk. Meet Derek and you're going to tell us what you saw the other night!" I told him stalking angrily towards him my temper getting the best of me. I grabbed Stiles lightly by the arm and began pulling him towards where I could feel Derek was. The pool room.

"Ah! Ah! Ah!" I rolled my eyes at the boy.

"Stiles I'm barely touching you." I told him as we entered the pool room. Derek was waiting for us a basketball in his hands for whatever reason. Weirdo.

"Stiles." My mate acknowledged the boy as I let go of his arm.

"Derek."

"What did you see at the mechanics garage?"

"Uh, several alarming EPA violations that I'm seriously considering reporting." I rolled my eyes.

"Stiles seriously. What did you see?" Derek applied pressure to the basketball causing it to deflate quickly. An obvious attempt to intimidate the boy standing next to me. Which like always worked.

"Holy God."

"Let's try that again." Stiles sighed and glanced at me out of the corner of his eye. I nodded for him to go ahead.

"All right, the thing was pretty slick looking. Um, skin was dark. Kind of patterned. Uh, I think I actually saw scales. Is that enough? Okay, because I've somebody I really need to talk to - " Derek just stared at him not saying anything until the boy continued to speak.

"All right, fine, eyes. Eyes are, um, yellowish. And slitted. Um, has a lot of teeth. Oh. And it's got a tail, too. Are we good? What? Wait, have you seen it? You have this look on your face like you know exactly what I am talking about." Stiles was right Derek's eyes had begun to widen and he made to take a step forward mouth open as I turned to see what the hell he was looking at just to have a heavy weight hit me and send me flying into a wall. My head connected with the wall hard enough that I heard it break. And as I slipped into unconsciousness I heard Derek shout for me before everything went black.

As I began to come to the first thing I heard was Stiles voice from somewhere behind me.

"I'm the one keeping you alive, okay, have you noticed that?" His voice was accompanied by the sound of water and I was confused. What in the fuck was going on.

"Yeah. And when the paralysis wears off, who is gonna be able to fight that thing, you or me?" At the sound of Derek's voice I forced myself to open my eyes and sat up slowly taking in my surroundings. I was at the school pool and Derek and Stiles were in the water.

"You don't trust me I don't trust you. You need me to survive, which is why you are not letting me go. Stiles!" At the sound of frantic swimming I focused and watched as Stiles let go of Derek and began swimming frantically towards the edge. Confused I waited for Derek to resurface but when he didn't I began to get worried.

Oh good you're up. Now come fucking help me! Derek's panicked voice called out spurring me into motion. Barely taking notice of the giant fucking lizard racing towards Stiles as he went for his phone I dove into the water and kicked my way quickly to Derek. I reached him and grabbed his arm hauling him up towards the surface. As we broke through the water Derek took in a deep breath as I threw his arm around my shoulder and began treading water.

"What's going on?" I asked in confusion as Stiles was making a call.

"That thing paralyzed me somehow. I can't fucking move." I quirked an eyebrow. There were very few things in the supernatural world that could do that and got me thinking. Stiles angrily threw his phone and swam closer to us.

"Did you get Scott?" Derek asked.

"No, he hung up on me."

"Does anyone want to tell me why were in the pool?"

"Because that freaky lizard dude won't come in the water. And with Derek paralyzed and you knocked out we didn't really have much options." I nodded.

"Alright well, Stiles take Derek. I'm going out there." Stiles moves towards Derek but was stopped by my mates death glare.

"You're not going out there!" I rolled my eyes and motioned Stiles forward. I handed Derek off and swam towards the edge.

"Cora! Cora get back here!" I ignored Derek's yells and pulled myself out of the water. I pulled my jacket off catching sight of the lizard on the other side of the pool. I extended my claws and allowed the changed to overtake me. I met the yellow eyes of the creature and let out a roar. We charged each other. I dodged an arm that was swing at me and kicked the creature in its chest sending it flying back. It smashed into the wall and glass shattered as a mirror broke from the impact. It stood and eyed me for a moment before charging me again. I dodged the arm that swung at me but didn't anticipate the tail that came up and smacked into me sending me flying back into the pool. I broke the surface of the water and spun around looking for the lizard. I found him a few feet away from the edge of the water staring at me.

"I can't stay up any longer, I need something to hold on to." I heard Stiles say from behind me and then the sounds of swimming. I started to swim towards the edge myself and pulled myself out just as Scott entered the room. The creature hissed and looked back and forth between us.

Cora! Derek's voice broke my concentration and I turned to see that he and stiles had both disappeared underneath the water. I cursed and took off running around the pool. Scott began to fight the creature and I finally reached Derek and Stiles. I reached in and pulled yanking them both out of the water. They hit the ground spitting and sputtering. Derek pushed himself up slightly. The paralysis must have been wearing off we heard a crash as Scott hit the already shattered mirror. He picked up a piece of the broken glass and held it up towards the creature as a knife. However, as the creature caught sight of its reflection it stared in confusion at the image of itself before backing away in a panic and racing out of the building through a broken skylight window. Derek and I looked to each other one though floating through both of our minds. We knew what the creature was.

"Is that even a language?" I heard Stiles ask as he stared at the computer screen against the hood of Mellissa's car.

"It's Latin." I told him as I approached the two of them. They looked to me in surprise.

"How are we supposed to figure out what this thing is?" Scott asked Stiles and I as I felt Derek approach me from behind.

"It's called a kanima." Derek and I told the boys at the same time.

"You knew the whole time." Scott accused and I shook my head in response.

"No. Only when it was confused by its own reflection." I told him. A figurative lightbulb went off in my nephews head.

"It doesn't know what it is." He concluded.

"Or who." Derek informed him.

"What else do you know?" Stiles asked us curiously.

"Just stories, rumors." Derek responded at the same time as me.

"Not much. I need to do some digging."

"But it's like us?" Scott asked trying to wrap his head around it.

"A shape - shifter, yes, but it's - it's not right. It's like a -" Derek told them searching for the words only for Stiles to supply the one he had been looking for.

"An abomination." Derek nodded and grabbed my arm pulling me into his side and turning to leave.

"Aunt Cora? Derek? We need to work together on this. Maybe even tell the Argents." I scoffed as I turned back around glaring at Scott.

"You trust them?" I growled. "That's nice considering you don't trust me and I'm your fucking Aunt. They'd kill you before they'd help you and all I want to do is help you and protect you. Fucking let me!"

"Nobody trusts anyone! That's the problem. While we're here, arguing about who's on what side, there's something scarier, stronger and faster than any of us, and it's killing people and we still don't even know anything about it." Scott yelled back at me irritation lacing his voice.

"I know one thing, when I find it?" Derek spoke up cutting off my retort. "I'm gonna kill it."
