Agent Coulson punched a number into his phone as they ran.
"Agent May, have the plane ready to take off in two minutes. Make sure Skye, Fitz, Simmons, and Agent Ward are on the plane." He ordered.
"Who was that?" Sam asked as Coulson snapped his phone shut.
"My team."
"I thought we were your team." Jack said, speeding up so he was keeping pace with Coulson.
"My Shield team."
They rounded a bend in the road and found themselves facing Coulson's plane.
"Everyone get in. Fitz and Simmons will show you where to put your gear." Coulson ordered.
The back door of the plane opened and Sam, Rose, Pepper, Captain Jack, and John followed Coulson into the plane. There they were met by Skye, Simmons, and Agent Ward.
"There are creatures with grayish blue skin -." Coulson began.
"Frost Giants." Sam interrupted.
"Frost Giants coming after us soon. Skye, take Pepper, get started on creating a news blackout. We want to keep people from panicking. Jack, you and Ward will stay here and fend off any frost giants until we get in the air. Simmons, start finding out about frost giants."
"I need salt, iron, a bucket of water, and spray paint. Silver too, if you have it. Rose and John can come and help me secure the plane against demons and other hell spawn." Sam said.
"Simmons, would you mind helping him get the things he needs?" Coulson asked.
"Not at all." She replied.
"Get to work then."
Coulson headed toward the cockpit, talking into his earpiece as he did so.
"Fitz, I need you to find out everything you can about Rose Tyler, John Watson, Jack Harkness, and Sam Winchester."
"Mix the salt and glue together and lay unbroken lines of the mixture in front of every window and the back hatch." Sam ordered as he spray painted a key of Solomon on the ceiling.
"What does all this do?" John asked as he worked.
"The salt keeps demons and most other creatures out. Iron and silver are some of the best things to use against things like ghosts and werewolves. I used a Latin incantation to turn the water into holy water, which will hurt demons. The symbol I'm painting is called a key of Solomon. It traps demons. So does a devils trap."
"Okay."
"You two are really calm about this for people who aren't hunters."
"I saw a frost giant with my own eyes. If that's real, why wouldn't the other stuff be?"
"I travel with the Doctor. I'm used to finding out that your nightmares exist." Rose said. She held up a piece of paper with a symbol on it. "What's this do?"
"Angel banishing sigil. It sends angels away, at least temporarily."
"Why do you have it? Aren't angels supposed to be good and helpful?" John asked.
"To be honest, most of the angels are jerks. We've needed to get rid of them now and again." Sam replied.
"Where do you want it?" Rose asked, using up the last of her salt and glue.
"The thing is, Rose, it has to be drawn in human blood." Sam said.
"And? Where do you want it?"
"Put it on the door over there."
Rose pulled a dagger from her boot and calmly made a cut on her palm. She walked over to the door and began drawing the sigil.
"Coulson, you might want to see this. It's the information you asked for." Fitz said as he walked into Coulson's office.
"What did you find out?"
"Captain Jack Harkness, not much on him, he served in the army for a little while during World War II, disappeared shortly after Captain Rogers's plane crash. Rose Tyler is pretty normal, lives in London, worked in a shop. But then it gets interesting. The shop she was working in exploded and a few days later she went missing. Showed up a year later, unharmed. John Watson was a soldier in Afghanistan until he got shot in the shoulder and was sent back to England. He then became Sherlock Holmes' flat mate and was involved in solving a series of crimes. He was also the last person Sherlock Holmes talked to before he jumped off the roof of a hospital and faked his death." Fitz read off a list in his hand.
"What about Sam?"
"Him and his brother, well, they don't have a very clean track record."
"Just tell me everything you found out about him."
"Okay then. He was born in Lawrence, Kansas. His mother died in a nursery fire when he was six months old. After that, he, his dad and his brother lived on the road, never staying more than a few weeks in any place. Sam and Dean attended various schools all over the country, only staying in a school a few weeks before they moved to a new town. Sam went to Stanford for a degree in law. He was close to graduating when Dean showed up and they went on a road trip. The night that Sam got back, a fire broke out in his apartment and his girlfriend died. About a year later, their dad dies. They drop off the map for a little, until a warrant for their arrest comes out. They get captured, they break out, a while later they are captured again and supposedly die when the police station they are being held at explodes. Turns out they escaped again and were sighted at a bar on the other side of the country. Then they were rumored to be in Carthage, Missouri. A store was blown up with homemade bombs and people matching the Winchesters descriptions were reportedly seen near there. Last time they were seen was when they apparently went on a serial killing spree, although that has been debated over. Enough information for you?" Fitz finished.
"Almost. What are the charges on their police records?" Coulson asked.
"Breaking and entering, grave desecration, credit card fraud, impersonating federal agents, bank robbery, and several count of murder. And that's only the ones the police have found evidence of. Oh, and someone filed a complaint because 'they are Satan worshippers and they disrupted our church meeting'. That one was dropped when the woman that filed the complaint was admitted to a mental hospital."
"Well, I guess I'll have to ask Sam about that. That is a seriously long police record for a twenty-eight year old though." Coulson said, frowning slightly.
"Well, all the doors and windows are salted." John said.
Sam finished tying a bandage around Rose's hand.
"Good. I guess we can just relax a little bit now."
Agent Coulson walked into the room. He checked the salt lines on the windows and saw the various traps and sigils around the plane.
"Nice idea, mixing the salt with glue so it would stay in place. Sam, can I talk with you for a minute?"
"Sure."
Sam followed Agent Coulson up a flight of stairs into the lounge and took a seat.
"Sam, I know about your police record."
"It's not as bad as it sounds.
"You have several counts of murder on your record."
"Is killing people possessed by demons murder?"
Agent Coulson studied Sam for several minutes. Finally he spoke.
"I don't really know what to think about you and your brother. But if you can look me directly in the eye and honestly tell me that you are not a serial killer and that you promise you will explain everything when we have a little more time, then I will believe you."
Sam looked Agent Coulson in the eyes. "It's really complicated, but I promise that I am not exactly a serial killer."
"Good. You'll need to explain the police record to me later, but I trust you."
Jack clicked the safety on his gun back into place and tucked it into his coat which was laying discarded off to the side. As he did, Agent Ward caught a glimpse of a strange device that looked distinctly alien. Agent Ward placed his own gun back in its holster and turned to see Jack had hopped onto the roof of the Shield car and was sitting on the roof.
"What are you doing?" Ward asked.
"Relaxing. You should join me."
Agent Ward hesitated for a moment before climbing up to sit next to Jack.
"I don't think we were properly introduced. My name is Captain Jack Harkness." Jack said, sticking out his hand with a roguish smile.
"Agent Grant Ward." Agent Ward replied, shaking Jack's hand.
"Know what I'm thinking right now?" Jack asked.
"Yes, and it's not happening. I'm on duty and you're not really my type."
A misty blue ball appeared in the center of the room and began slowly forming itself into a hare.
"Sam!" Agent Ward shouted over his shoulder as he passed Jack a knife and drew his gun.
Sam ran into the room, his gun already loaded and in his hand.
"What?"
"I thought you said salt would keep most hell spawn out." Captain Jack said, Ward's iron knife held in front of him in a fighting stance.
"It does."
"Then how did that thing get in?" Ward asked.
"I don't know. I've never seen anything like that before."
Dean's voice began issuing from the blue hare that was hovering about a foot off the ground.
"Hey Sammy and Co. This is a patronus. Don't worry, it's not dangerous. It should be able to get through salt lines if you put them up." The voice changed and Tony Stark began speaking. "Coulson, you do know just how bad Shield security is right? It took me approximately a minute to turn off all the alarms and security systems. Dean was able to pick the fricking lock and let us into the weapons bay of the helicarrier, where we waited till it took off. We are working on developing a weapon to fight monsters and assorted other things. Patronuses are untraceable too, so they're relatively secure."
The misty hare vanished.
"Let's go see how Skye and Pepper are getting on with that news block." Coulson said.
