The Secret Love
Chapter Twenty
Padme woke up to the sound of birds singing and one of her house servants humming in the other room as she was opening the curtains and windows in the sitting room.
The door opened up the younger woman came into the room and went over to the chair and picking up the dirty clothes that was stacked on it, then she headed out of the room and going over to the small laundry basket that was next to the door.
Padme sat up and stretched just as the woman came back into the room.
" Good morning Ladelle." Padme called and startled young woman.
" Oh! Good morning Milady." Ladelle turned and faced the bed to see her mistress awake and sitting up in the bed.
" I am sorry that I gave you a startle." Padme pushed the covers back and swung her legs over the edge of the bed and she stood up.
" It was ok Milady, I should have noticed that you were awake, breakfast will be ready in ten minutes, so do you want me to bring it up here or do you want to have it downstairs in the dining room?" Ladelle went over to the windows and opened the curtains and then open the windows so that way the fragrances of the flowers that were blooming just outside her windows.
" I believe that I will have it in here, and you could please let Jedi Skywalker know that he is invited to have breakfast with me here in my quarters." Padme walked to the end of the bed and grabbed her robe before heading off to the refresher.
" Yes Milady." Ladelle bowed her head before she went over the bed and began making it before going over to the closet and getting the clothes for Padme to wear for the day.
Five minutes later Padme was out of the refresher and was buttoning up the last couple of buttons on her day dress when she heard a tap on the door and Ladelle came into the room with a tray that had Caf cups and Caf pot and she went over to the buffet hutch and sat the tray down before taking the pots off of the tray and then heading over to the small table and put the two cups down on the table before she set the table for the Senator and her visitor.
" I will get the door." Padme nodded to the young woman as she went over to the door and opened it.
" Good morning Padme, mmm the Caf smells good oh and thank you for inviting me to have breakfast with you here." Anakin bowed his to Padme as he came into the room.
" You are so very welcome, please help yourself to a cup of Caf breakfast should be up here in a few minutes." Padme closed the door and motion over to the hitch where the pot of Caf was sitting before heading over to the windows and looked out over the lake.
" I will go and get the food Milady." Ladelle nodded over to Anakin before bowing her head to Padme.
" Thank you Ladelle." Padme nodded to the young lady as she opened the door and headed out of the room.
" This is great Caf, not like the stuff they have at the Temple so what do you have plan for today?" Anakin went over to the small table and sat down.
" Thank you, it is grown in the mountain region here on Naboo, well I do have some work to do today, but I have thought about what we talked about the other night, and well Anakin Skywalker I would be very honor if you become my husband, Anakin would you marry me." Padme turned away from the window and smiled at Anakin.
" You want me to . . . yes I would be very honor if you would become my wife and I would love to be your husband." Anakin smiled at Padme and there was a tap on the door and Ladelle came into the room with their breakfast and she put the covered dishes down on the plate.
" I will come back in hour to pick up the dirty dishes Milady." Ladelle bowed her head before heading back out of the room.
Padme came over to the table and sat down and uncovered the plate and found an omelet sitting on her plate.
" I want to get married tonight, at sunset, I can get the Holy Man up here, and he perform the ceremony." Padme cut up her omelet and put a piece into her mouth.
" Sure I would love to get marry tonight, but what about your servants?" Anakin also put a piece into his mouth.
" They have the nights off, and it is us, the only time they are here at night is if I have a party." Padme picked up her cup and took a sip of her Caf.
" Oh ok, then tonight we will get married, and I believe that R2-D2 and C3-PO should stand in as witnesses." Anakin took another bite of his omelet.
" That sounds good to me." Padme nodded at Anakin's idea as the droids acting as witnesses, and when they get back to Coruscant they can have the droids memories wiped clean for today's events.
After breakfast Padme went into her office and made arrangements for the Holy Man to arrive after all the servants leave the house and go home for the evening, and once she made the arrangements she began doing some Senate work.
Five hours later Padme and Anakin was standing on the balcony next to the railing that over looked the lake, Padme and Anakin exchanged wedding vows in front of R2-D2 and C3-PO as their witnesses.
