Chapter 20:

LUNA'S POV:

After patiently waiting in lines to get in, we were in Disneyland. I wanted to scream, but for the sake of Steve's dignity I didn't. I tried to be mature, I really did. But when I saw the Disney princess strolling by, I lost it. I ran over and took pictures with them and squealed and talked to them even though they were just actresses. Steve walked up to Ariel while I was talking to Rapunzel. I'm not sure what he said, but Ariel seemed thrilled. There was some head-nodding and excite gasps, but I was too excited to care.

"Luna, can we go in now?" Steve asks.

I nod and snatch up his hand, ready for a day out in DISNEYLAND! Steve pulls me under his arm and we walk through the street together, admiring the things around us. We encounter more characters, and I get pictures with them all. We rode every ride we saw, much to Steve's dismay. Ironically, the oh-so-brave super soldier was scared of roller coasters. In Disneyland though, there weren't many intense rides, so Steve made it through alright.

Steve kept kissing my nose and forehead, promising today would be amazing. It already was amazing, but I never said anything. We came upon a gift shop outside of one of the rides, and I was thrilled. Stuffed toys, dolls, books, pens! They had everything! I looked to Steve, who nodded. I go crazy. I snatch shirts and plush toys and key chains and necklaces. And then I see the price tags. I slowly start to find the things I didn't want as bad and put them back, but Steve stops me.

"I have Tony money. You're just fine." He smiles.

His smile is really captivating. I was going to pick up my things, but I just was frozen in his smile. He was just so beautiful. Not just in his looks, but in who he is. The way he talks, and walks, and everything. He's perfect. And right then I couldn't stop myself.

STEVE'S POV:

Luna is staring into me. I feel like she can see into my heart. I wonder if she can feel how much I need her. But then she moves. All of the toys and things that she had in her arms fell to the floor and she ran to me and jumped into my arms. Our lips met quickly, but passionately. I could never deny how much I loved her right then. Then she got down on her feet and gathered up her things and continued her search. But this time she dragged me by the hand through the store, seemingly to entice me to buy some things. I grab a tshirt with an American flag and a mickey on it, and that seems to satisfy Luna. We check out and I swear Luna screamed at the price. I wouldn't dare mention it, for fear she might somehow overhear and feel guilty.

Luna repetidively thanked me, and I told her it was no biggie. And it wasn't. While we walked through the park, I checked my watch. Our adventures had taken longer than I had thought. It was almost four. My plans were to commence at five on the dot. I would suggest to her ice cream, and so we would walk to Fantasyland to find a cart, because "that's the only place I can remember seeing one", even though I'm not sure I even saw one at all. Then Ariel and some of the other princesses would show up, and they'd sing a little bit of a song called I See The Light, which is from the movie Tangled I suppose. Then while Luna is squealing and being happy, I'd get behind her and get down on one knee and such, then I'd grab her hand and spin her around. The rest was up to her.

The woman who played Ariel had been so happy for me when I asked her about this. She had said yes without much thought, because she was so excited, even though we'd never met. The situation was convienient, and I was glad.

So for the next hour, I suggested ice cream. Around 4:45, I got her to Fantasyland, which was perfect. We strolled around a bit, then the princesses started to show up. Luna squeezed my hand tight and started to get pictures with the ones she hadn't met yet. Peter Pan showed up as well, which Luna was happy about. And then they all started singing, and my heart was pounding in my chest, and Luna was singing along and waltzing with Peter. When Peter saw me down on one knee shaking, he smiled and spun Luna around to face me.

I would never forget her face in that shining, infinite moment.

So I just realized how short my chapters are on here and I'm kind of disappointed because they're three pages long in Microsoft Word. Well… not this one. This one was barely two. It's 10:03 and I can't focus. Oops. PS- I was reading Chapter 15-19 and I was getting feels… Hope you do too.
