Hey! I am really behind schedule. I'll try to get caught up, though. Hope you like this chapter! Oh yes and I won't get the computer much for another few weeks, so please don't hate me. This chapter will have a lot of different point of views so try not to get confused.
Jason's POV
I was getting ready for the dance when Thalia knocked on my bedroom door. "Hey, are you almost ready? The dance starts in a half an hour, and we still need to pick up Piper," Thalia rushed me.
"Yeah, hold on. Let me get my shoes on," I called after her. I slipped on some sneakers. I know this is a formal dance, but Thalia and I live by ourselves in a small apartment and I work at a cafe. I also have to pay half of the bills and buy the food. That doesn't give me a whole lot of money.
I walked out the door and said, "Whoa. What happened to you?"I asked Thalia. She was wearing a black, leather with red polka dot dress that came down to the knees, and tall black boots.
"Shut up, Mr. Perfect," Thalia said. She marched out the door and hopped into my truck. I shook my head and went out after her. I just love my sister.
Piper's POV
I was running around trying to get ready. I was rushing around the house in a hurry, because I decided to take a nap this afternoon and woke up two hours before Jason was supposed to pick me up. I was wearing a pink dress that went just below the knees. I hurriedly put my makeup on.
I had just finished putting my hair in a side braid, when I heard a knock on the door.
"Be there in a minute!" I called out as I put my pink heels on.
As I ran downstairs, I heard Thalia saying, "Whoa. This is where she lives? I could slay a dragon in this very living room!" I rolled my eyes. It's just like her to just walk into my house.
"Yeah, well it's not my fault my dad prefers dragon slaying mansions over regular old houses," I said startling them. Jason was still outside, looking worried like I was going to kill Thalia for barging into my house.
He looked up at me and smiled. "You look beautiful as always," he said.
I smiled too. "Thanks. Oh and don't worry, I'm not going to kill Thalia for coming in. At least you knocked first."
"I would have come in before he knocked, but these boots aren't heaven to walk in," Thalia said. I laughed.
"Well, are we going to the dance or not?" I asked.
"Truck's right out there," Jason said. I smiled and walked out the door with the other two not too far behind.
When we got in the truck, Thalia sat in the back and got her phone out. "Who are you texting?" I asked.
"Coral," she answered.
"Ooh. I wondered if she's kissed Nico!" I said, just smiling at the thought. They make the perfect couple!
Clarisse's POV
I put on my dress on. I hate dresses. But it was either a dress or a skirt. I hate skirts more than I hate dresses.
My dress was just an ankle length, black dress with a big, white spider wrapped around it. I decided to wear combat boots. I'm wearing a dress. That's as girly as I'm going.
I heard my door bell ring, and went to answer it. I opened it to see Chris. I smiled and walked out the door as he shut it behind me. I hopped in his truck. He started it and we were off.
Percy's POV
As I got ready, I couldn't help, but think of what was going to happen tonight. I was going to the dance with Annabeth, but just as friends. On the outside, I don't mind going as friends, but deep down inside, I know I wish we were more than just friends.
I had just put my shoes on when my mom called, "Percy, are you going to want dinner before you leave?"
"No thanks, mom! I'm going to take Annabeth for dinner after the dance," I called back after her.
"Okay then," she said. There was kind of a pause as I was brushing my teeth. I was gurgling water when my mom called, "Percy, Annabeth's here." I almost choked on the water. The last time I checked, she wasn't supposed to be here in a half an hour.
I spit out the water and said, "Be there in a minute!" I dried my mouth and checked to see how I looked, then ran downstairs. "Ready," I told my mom.
I looked at Annabeth, and my jaw dropped. She was wearing a grey, ankle length dress with little ruffles on the bottom. She was also wearing little makeup with light, purple eye shadow and lip color lipstick. The only funny thing was the sneakers.
I was pretty sure I looked funny with my mouth open and eyes wide like that, because Annabeth and my mom were laughing at me.
"I told you he'd like it," my mom said to Annabeth.
"Oh, I knew he'd like it, but I didn't know he would look like that," Annabeth said, still laughing.
I blushed and closed my mouth. "Come on, Annabeth. Let's go to the dance," I said.
"Okay, but I'm kind of hungry-" Annabeth tried to say.
"We'll get pizza on the way there," I said after kissing my mom goodbye. Sure I like Annabeth, but that doesn't mean that I can't kiss my mom in front of her. I'm not ashamed of it.
I pulled Annabeth out the door and into Paul's Prius. He's letting me borrow it for the dance, since he doesn't have to chaperone it.
"I don't want to miss the dance, so let's just go through the Burger King drive-thru and get some fries, okay?" Annabeth said.
"Okay, what ever you want," I said. I have to admit, I was kind of looking forward to pizza, but fries are good too.
Coral's POV
Let's get this straight. I have an annoying older brother who's going to college to be a video game maker. A younger sister who is an awful lot like Piper. My parents were going to Brooklyn to take my grandma to a doctor's appointment, so that night was horrible getting ready.
My sister was doing my hair while my brother was asking questions about Nico. Most of the questions I had no idea, like: "Does he like video games?", "What kind of sports does he like?", and "Has he had any other girlfriends?". I just said, "I don't know," and he moved on.
My sister wanted to go with the hair on top of my head style, but I said no. Most of her ideas were awful, so she ended up putting my hair in a Katniss Everdeen braid. I got up from the chair I had spent an hour and a half in.
I went to my room and got my dress on. It was a red, above the knee dress. I figured it would be kind of cold, so I grabbed a black sweater. I put my black flats on and ran downstairs.
I went into the kitchen to get a water bottle, and when I got back, I saw my brother and sister bombarding Nico with questions. "Eden, Austin, this is Nico, my date to the dance. We're in a hurry, so...gotta go," I said as I grabbed Nico's arm and went out to his truck.
"So...where are your parents?" Nico asked me.
"Brooklyn with my grandma. She has a doctor's appointment," I told him.
"You look nice, by the way. Sorry if I'm kind of slow, but I'm new at this," he said worriedly as he turned on the engine.
I laughed. "It's alright. I'm new at this too. Thanks for the compliment by the way." He nodded.
My phone rang to say I had a text. It was Thalia. Here's what it said:
Hey! Have you and Nico kissed yet? Give me the details! ;P
I shook my head and texted back:
No, we haven't kissed! We just got in his truck to go to the dance. No details for you.
We pulled into the school parking lot. He parked the car and got out quickly. I was about to open the door, when he opened it for me. I shook my head, but took his hand that he offered to help me out. I
As I looked at the doors that led us to the dance, I just wished that this dance would go well. I walked through the doors of death, holding Nico's hand.
Hey! Sorry again. I don't have as much access to the internet now, so I'm not on it everyday. Sorry this wasn't the actual dance, but I promise the next chapter will be. Love you!
