Walking in, Kagome figured that Inuyasha was going to be there. But she just wasn't going to talk to him, look at him nothing. She was still hurt by what he did, and she refused to argue with him in front of Rin. That wasn't going to happen at all. Her or Sesshomaru.

Going on in, she smiled a hello to Inuyasha as she chose this time to sit on the same side of the table as Rin. "How was your day today Sesshomaru?"

"Annoying. Meetings with humans that think that they are above and beyond doing any kind of dealings with a demon annoys me." Sesshomaru let his eyes meet Kagome's, then flicked them to the downcast eyes of Inuyasha and back to Kagome. His question in them was very clear. He knew something happened.

Smiling, Kagome sighed. "It is alright. I am sure that it will all get sorted out after Rin goes to bed tonight."

Blinking as she looked around, Rin then turned back to her father and gasped. "That's right Father. Kagome's little brother wanted to know if he could come and spend the day on Saturday. Kagome said that she didn't care looking after him too but I had to ask you. Oh please Father."

Smiling at her, Sesshomaru sighed as he gave her a nod. "I am alright with that." But before anyone else could say anything, a maid came to the door and slid it open as she dropped to her knees. "My Lord. You have a visitor at the Front Gate."

Blinking as he closed his eyes and smelled, Sesshomaru growled. It was Katsuie. "I see. I am eating with my daughter. Send him away. Tell him I will call him tomorrow."

"Who is it Sesshomaru?" Kagome knew that it was really none of her business, but she couldn't help but ask. He went from a soft smile that she actually loved to see on his face, to a snarl and a glare with hate in his eyes. She didn't know why it affected her but it did.

"It is your father." Flinching, Kagome glared as well. "Never mind then. I was going to tell you if you wanted to go see what whomever it was wanted, Rin wanted to go watch me train with Koyuki again today. But if it is him, he can get over it."

"So how is your mother doing?"

Refusing to even acknowledge that Inuyasha said a word to her, Kagome just kept her eyes down and ate. She wasn't going to talk to him right now. Not at all in the least. She knew the name Kikyo because of Sesshomaru. And he left, breaking his promise that he made to her. And clearly he had seen her the other day because of what Kikyo said. But she refused to get into it with Rin right there.

With a sigh as Kagome wouldn't even look at him, Inuyasha dropped his head and leaned back in his seat. He knew leaving was going to hurt her, but he didn't think it would make her act like he didn't even exist. Which just made the conversation that he had with Kikyo that much more difficult. 'Damnit.'

The rest of dinner was ate with Kagome still ignoring Inuyasha. Once they were all done she sighed as she smiled down at Rin. "You ready to go with me to get changed so we can meet Koyuki in the garden?" Laughing when she jumped up out of her seat with a giggle and a nod. "Right." She then turned and gave Sesshomaru a smile and a nod, then turned and left with Rin, headed for her bedroom.

Turning to his little brother, Sesshomaru sighed. "You are not going to string her along Inuyasha. You will be making a choice and soon. But forewarned. If you decide on Kikyo, if you see her you leave this place. She is not welcome here. I will not have you and her flaunting around and making life harder for Kagome."

"I don't know what I want Sesshomaru and with all due respect, while yes Rin is now always with Kagome, this is our relationship. You need to but out of it." Inuyasha then stormed out of the room and went to his own. He wasn't going to let anyone tell him what to do. And he especially wasn't going to be pushed into doing something he didn't want to do either.

Going to his window he sighed as he watched as Kagome was more and more focused today about her training. She was doing much better with her being angry at him, than when she wasn't. "But now I gotta figure out what I want to do and who I am going to go with."

"What is your deal Miroku?" Sango gave Miroku an odd look as they walked through the mall. "You have been acting weird since we all went out own ways after we left the park." Then she glared. "This is about Inuyasha leaving isn't it?"

With sigh and a nod, Miroku dropped his head. "It has everything to do with it. He is my best friend yes, but he is being a jackass. The girl that we saw just before we went up the steps to the park is his ex-girlfriend. The two were next to inseparable when she lived here before. But then just out of the blue without warning she told him she never loved him, and she wanted more out of life and she was leaving. The next morning she was just gone and he was a mess. He didn't start to come around out of that slump until he met Kagome. I thought that they were going to be great for each other, but then Kikyo showed up and now he says he is confused."

"He better not hurt her." Her glaring brown eyes, Sango crossed her arms as she stopped and met his eyes. "I mean it. I know that demons and humans live side by side right now, but once upon a time ago, they didn't. My family is a family of demon slayers. I will break out that tradition and kill him if he hurts her. Your best friend or not."

"Right now I think he would deserve it." Taking her hand and walking on, Miroku sighed as he looked up at the evening sky as they left the mall. "I guess we will know in the next few days to a week what is going on."

"Right. But I am not going to keep my mouth shut about it. Not when it comes to Kagome." Sango closed her eyes then she flinched and froze when he moved his hand from hers and groped her behind. Turning she smacked him back about ten feet. "Or use it on you if you do that again damnit you are a pervert!"

Storming back into his house, Katsuie had a glare. Sesshomaru wouldn't even see him so that he could see how she was doing on her training! He knew that she couldn't get the jewel out of her without him. The seal he put on her when she was born was enough to do that. But this not knowing how strong she is or isn't is driving him insane! And mostly because Inuyasha had to butt his fat nose into it!

"Are you still really that angry that you aren't training her Katsuie?"

Looking up to see his wife walking down the steps and into the kitchen, Katsuie sighed as he followed her. "I am Sora. I mean I know what I need to do to push her to release the the jewel. But neither she nor Sesshomaru will even look at me at the moment. It is just really annoying."

Going on with what she was doing as she washed and put the dishes away, Sora wouldn't even look at him. "Well the way you were acting it doesn't surprise me. If dad treated me the way you were Kagome, I wouldn't have talked to him either."

"So you are still angry with me about the whole thing as well Sora?" With a sigh as she nodded and wouldn't even look at him, Katsuie crossed his arms. "So tell me Sora what exactly can I do to try and make it right with Kagome when she won't even look at me let alone talk to me. And Sesshomaru acts like he is her guard dog."

"You were the one that told her when you got home that it was a good idea for her to go and see what the job was all about. Now she is attached to that little girl and she wouldn't leave even if she wanted too." Turning to her husband, Sora sighed. "The first thing you can do is let go of it. Let go of the fact that you aren't training her. That will put you in a much better mood. That will help around the house."

Watching with wide eyes as Sora left the room and went back up the stairs, Katsuie sighed as he moved and sat on the couch and rubbed his face with his hands. "Damit this whole things has not gone as planned. And I have no idea how to get it back on track or fix things with everyone."

Breathing hard as she smiled, Kagome put her hand son her hips. "I did more than I thought I would today."

"I know more than I thought we were going to be able to get done today." Looking at the young girl, Koyuki sighed. "What is different Kagome? What has you so angry right now? And don't tell me nothing, I know better than that."

Looking around and finding Rin was still looking at the koi in the pond, Kagome sighed as she sat down and let her head drop. "Inuyasha. Everything has been perfect nearly. But today when we got to the park that I meet my mom at, there was a girl there named Kikyo. She is Inuyasha's ex and she is breathtakingly stunning. She is so perfect compared to me. He didn't tell her who I was to him. And said that they saw each other a few days ago. He promised to spend all day with me. The second I wasn't watching him, he ditched me and I know he went to her. I just don't know what to do."

With as mile, Koyuki reached over and put her hand on her knee, pulling her eyes up to hers. "That I cannot help you with dear. But I will tell you to follow your heart. Love is not easy and it can be painful at times. However it can be worth it in the end. Even if that is not with Inuyasha either." She then stood and smiled as Kagome did with a nod as she wiped tears from her eyes. "Well, I am going to go and report to Sesshomaru how todays training went. I will see you in a couple of days."

"Thank you Koyuki." Kagome then turned and went toward Rin. That was her saving grace at the moment. Rin always saw the best part of everything. She couldn't stay down with Rin at her side.

It was late when Inuyasha finally smelled Kagome alone in her room. Going to the door he knocked on the door. "Kagome. Please let me come in and talk to me."

"Come in Inuyasha. You are right. We do need to talk."

Opening the door, he found Kagome sitting on her bed with her knees hugged to her chest. "I am sorry that I hurt you when I left Kagome….."

"You hurt me today Inuyasha three different times." When he sat on her bed, she glared at him with hurt and crying eyes. "First I find out you seen your ex-girlfriend a few days ago, and clearly you had no intention to tell me. Then she shows up in person, and I am just Kagome. Not even 'This is my girlfriend Kagome'. Nope just Kagome. Then you promised me, the girl you say you love, to spend the day with me. But because she was there, you run off. I am not stupid I know you went to her, and probably spent the better part of the day there with her. And you think that an I am sorry is going to work?"

With a sigh as he turned to face her, Inuyasha oved her hands and pushed her legs down so he could see her easier. "What do you want from me Kagome? I do love you. It is just that Kikyo was a first for me on a lot of things."

"I know how that feels Inuyasha!" Glaring now, Kagome crossed her arms. "You are my first for everything that we have done as a couple too Inuyasha. But if we broke up and I started dating someone else, and I claimed to love him, I wouldn't stay with him but run back to you at the same time."

"Kagome I do love you. I do." Reaching out and making her look up at him, his heart broke as he sighed. "What do I have to do to prove to you that I love you?"

Reaching over and pulling his cell phone out of his pocket, Kagome sighed. "Call Kikyo. Call her right now, with me sitting right here. Put it on speaker phone and tell her that you chose me over her and to leave you alone now. That is the only thing that would come close to it."

His eyes wide for a moment, Inuyasha just sat there for a moment. He couldn't do that! He was hoping that they would actually be able to talk, not her tell him that he had to write her off like that! He didn't know what he was going to do yet. "Kagome I do love you, but I just can't do that yet. I am sorry."

Slapping him, Kagome let even more tears rush from her eyes as she stood up. "Until you can tell her that you chose me over her. Either in person with me there, or on the phone with me listening. We are done Inuyasha! I won't be in a relationship with someone that I have to worry about him running back and forth between me and his ex! I won't do it! We are done!" She then turned and ran from her room, through the halls and out into the garden. Falling to the ground under the newly bloomed Cherry Blossom trees as she bowed her head and sobbed. "I hate him!"

On his way to his room, Sesshomaru blinked when he smelled Kagome's tears, and Inuyasha was pacing in his room angry about something. Following the smell of her tears, Sesshomaru found her sitting on the ground by the koi pond, sobbing. Turning a snarl up at the window that was his brother's, Sesshomaru went to her and dropped to his knees next to her. "Kagome…."

"I am sorry Sesshomaru. I am. I don't understand though." Standing and turning her back to him, Kagome kept her head down. "Kikyo was beautiful. Perfect hair, perfect teeth. Perfect body. What is it about her that made him break a promise to me and run off to her?"

"She was born with looks yes. However her personality makes those a mute point Kagome." Going to stand behind her, Sesshomaru sighed as he shocked her and turned her to let him gently wipe her tears from her face. "She played Inuyasha for a fool and he was never able to see it. When she left like she did I really hoped that he would be able to move on from her and get over it. When you came along I thought that he did."

Taking a few deep breaths, Kagome dropped her head as she felt more tears gush from her eyes. "He said he loved me. Not too long ago. Asked me what he had to do to prove it to me that he did love me. I told him he had to tell her that he chose me over her. He wouldn't do it."

Making her look up at him, Sesshomaru sighed as he once again cleaned her face. "He is the fool Kagome. You were the best thing that had ever happened to him. He doesn't deserve these tears in this case." He then pulled her to him and hugged her as he sighed. He didn't know why seeing her cry like this was making him so crazy.

With a gasp as she tensed when he hugged her, Kagome then let her eyes fill with tears again, and grabbed his clothes as she went limp in his arms and sobbed. While she appreciated the fact that he was trying to comfort her, it hurt her that Inuyasha wasn't even trying to do this. His brother had to try to help her stop crying. Which just made it worse.

With a glare as he lifted her into his arms, Sesshomaru carried her for her bedroom. He would sit with her until she was asleep then he and Inuyasha was going to have it out over her. He was going to either ignore her, or tell Kikyo to kiss off. One or the other.

With a glare as she stood a block away from the palace, Mitsukai glared as she growled with crossed arms. Sesshomaru should have ignored her as she cried not went to her and comforted her! This wasn't going to go the way she thought that it would so easy. But she wasn't going to tell Kikyo that yet. Walking away she gasped as she giggled. "I know what I am going to do. I am going to go and see his mother. She lost her mate to a human, and he lost his life. I know that she would be fit to be tied if she knew what was going on with Kagome. That will push her out." Her eyes gleaming as she turned to head across town to his mother's palace, Mitsukai thought that this was perfect. Kikyo took Inuyasha from her. And his mother was going to make Sesshomaru force her out. Then she could worm her way back in.
