Hershey Kiss

Hinamori was casually sitting at the Tenth Division Captain's desk and chewing away at some foreign-looking sweets when the said captain entered the office.

"Momo. What are you doing in here?" he asked, mildly surprised to see her lounging on his chair.

"Captain Hirako dismissed me early so I thought I'd come by and drop you a visit."

"And what is that? It better not be some dessert again."

Hinamori was aware of his apparent disapproval of bringing desserts to his office but she always managed to get away with it. Besides, this wasn't dessert, it was chocolate.

"Here," she said and held up the packet of silver-wrapped chocolate to his face. "It's chocolate."

Hitsugaya frowned at the pack and asked, "Where did you get that? I've never seen those before."

He presumed she got it from the World of the Living (she has a fascination with stuff from there) and judging from the wide variety of sweets he receives from Captain Ukitake, he's well aware of what comes from Soul Society and what can only be found in the World of the Living.

His presumption was confirmed when Hinamori answered, "Captain got it from the Living World. You should try it, this is the best chocolate I've ever tasted."

"No thanks."

Hitsugaya didn't have that much of a sweet tooth than Hinamori and he knew she liked to exaggerate when it comes to sweets and chocolate. Everything was the 'best' she ever tasted so he didn't really trust her judgment.

"Aw, come on! Try one this time. You never do."

"I'll pass," he said with an air of finality. The captain sieved through his papers but didn't tell Hinamori to get out of his chair. He figured he could let her sit there and enjoy her chocolate since he rejected her offer.

Hinamori looked away with a pout and reached her hand in to retrieve another piece. She was about to pop the chocolate into her mouth when she caught sight of the large words on the packet. A cheeky smile appeared as an idea formed in her head.

"Hey, Toushirou," she called out before placing the chocolate between her lips.

Hitsugaya looked up from his paperwork and widened his eyes in surprise when he saw the piece of chocolate between her slightly pouted lips. There was anticipation in her eyes and the corners of her lips were turned up in her mischievous smile. He had to admit, she did look kinda cute…wait, was she trying to seduce him into eating that chocolate? Was it really that delicious?

He supposed he could play along to placate her so he merely sighed and bent down. The moment he was close enough, Hinamori leaned forward and pressed her parted lips to his. Thankfully, he had already opened his mouth in anticipation and the piece of chocolate settled perfectly between their lips.

It felt weird to touch Hinamori's lips like this; with the chocolate trapped between them and hindering Hitsugaya from covering her mouth completely with his. He contemplated on sucking on her lips so the chocolate would land right in his mouth but Hinamori had beat him to it. Smiling, she pushed out her tongue to nudge the piece of chocolate-y goodness outwards and immediately pulled back.

Left with no other choice, the teal-eyed captain took a few hesitant bites. The sweet taste of chocolate flooded his taste buds and although he wasn't a big fan of sweets, this was not bad indeed. It had already melted considerably during their short exchange and he finished it within moments.

Hinamori was flashing him a silly grin when he swallowed the last of the chocolate. "So? How was it?"

"It was…fine," he replied, still recovering from the unconventional kiss they shared.

"Just fine?!"

"Okay, it was nice," he relented.

That seemed to appease her as her smile widened. "You know you like it."

That said, Hinamori kissed his mouth and sucked on his bottom lip where there were still remnants of the chocolate. Hitsugaya instinctively parted his lips to allow her tongue to slide against his. She could still taste the chocolate on his tongue and she savored every bit of it.

When they pulled away, Hinamori waved the pack of chocolates in front of him and said playfully, "Looks like I just gave you a Hershey's Kiss."
