This isn't long, but it's cool. It gets what I wanted to say out there.

Okay, so I have a short thing to say to anyone who reads Exiles. If you don't go ahead and ignore this. I'll probably post it again when I update that story again:

Thank you so much for indulging my ridiculous little temper tantrum. I stand by what I said. It's hard to motivate yourself when your reviews drop so much. And that's the problem. Not the numbers but the drop. And what I neglected to say was that there are a handful of you that review everything and I can't thank you enough for that.

BUT, to the one rude review (ignoring the one with the backhanded compliment) I got. Take your bull shit, fallacious argument elsewhere because I'm not here for that. No where did I blackmail you. I said that I needed time to remotivate myself, but I specifically said that I would be back. And like, twelve hours wasn't even that long, was it?

OKAY SORRY. That's enough of that.

I really hope you guys like the way that I wrapped this up, and I really hope you appreciate that I didn't kill anyone off this time :) Thanks for standing by me because this took a little longer than my other stories. Mostly because it wasn't too sad. Haha

Okay, got to go to work, byeeee.

Epilogue

SPOV

10 years later

She hiked her daughter up her hip, carrying her into her mom's house while Toby hauled the diaper bag inside. It was a good day. Colby's big brown eyes rolled around as she took in her new environment. She was too young to be regaled with stories of her mother's childhood home, but that was okay.

"Mommy!"

She glanced down at her son, her little Toby, with a smile. He not only looked just like her husband, but he also shared his personality. She was so blessed to have the both of them in her life. "Carter!" She matched his excited tone.

"When we get inside can I hold Colby?" He asked her with a smile.

The way that Carter loved his sister literally warmed her heart. They would be nothing like her and Melissa were, and that meant the entire world. She nodded. "As long as you wash your hands really, really well once we get into Grandma's house."

Toby quickly catches up to the two of them, putting a gentle hand in the small of her back. "Let's get inside, because I certainly don't want to miss any of Grandma's lasagna."

Spencer snorted. "She does enjoy her carbs. We better go before she eats the whole pan."

Her mom quickly appeared in the door. "Don't listen to them, Carter," she held out an arm for him and waited for him to run into it. "Once I caught your mom eating an entire plate of brownies."

She shrugged. School was stressful and chocolate helped. "Hey mom."

She quickly finished up her hug with Carter and held out both arms. "Let me see the prettiest little girl in the whole wide world." She took Colby and swung her around in a circle. "She's getting so big!"

Carter protested. "Mommy said that I could hold her!"

Spencer laughed. "Let your grandma have her for a second and then she can settle you down with her. Go wash your hands!"

Her mom gave her a significant look before taking the kids inside. As soon as they were past the front door Toby dropped the diaper bag and put his hands on her shoulders, pressing her against the siding. The grin on his face was outrageously adorable as he brushed his lips over hers. "I love you."

How was it that in what felt like such a short period of time she had managed to get every single thing she wanted. She had her sight back. She could play with her kids and see the sunrise and drive herself to the grocery store. She could read books and actually watch TV and she could live her life without being a burden to everyone. And her kids. She had the two best kids in the world and she loved them more than life itself.

She leaned in and deepened the kiss, not really caring who saw them. She had Toby. She had Toby and she loved him. She loved him so much that it hurt. Her chest ached and she just felt so light and happy. She was happier than she ever had been and it was solely because of him. He gave her the courage to go through with the surgery because she knew that he would love her either way. He gave her their two beautiful kids. And he gave her the strength to keep going every single day.

When she was young she never thought that she would be the kind of girl to lose herself in a man, but God, she had no regrets giving pieces of herself to Toby. She trusted him with everything, and she would continue to trust him every single day.

She loved him and that would never stop.
