Ch.20 Time For a New Beginning

Danny woke up and he was in a hospital bed, Kara was asleep at the chair right beside him.

"Uhhhh, my head," said Danny as he tried to sit up. Kara woke up as she heard him groan.

"Danny," she whispered as she woke up.

"Yeah it's me beautiful," said Danny as he finally sat up, only to be pulled into a hug by Kara.

"Don't ever scare me like that again," Kara told him.

"I'll try not, can't make any promises like that in this line of work," Danny replied. They then shared a kiss as Dani, Bruce, Clark, Ben, Gwen, and Kevin walked in.

"So what was with your flaming hair and white blasts," asked Kevin.

"Along with the dark voice and the blinding glow," added Dani.

Danny took a deep breath, he knew he was going to have this conversation.

"Well when I got slammed through that building by Dan and Dark Kara, I was visited by this guy named Paradox, Professor Paradox. He told me Clockwork sent him and that he told him of what I was truly capable of."

"Wait," said Ben, "so Paradox came to you too?"

"Yeah," responded Danny, "why did he go to you?"

"Well since you were about to blast Darkseid, his army, and Metropolis away, Paradox came to me and told me I should turn into you know who, and stop all the Parademons and the city destruction, and I did, that's why the city looks perfectly fine."

"So explain this transformation," Bruce asked, getting the conversation back on track.

"Right, basically my powers are dialed up by twenty," said Danny, "making me basically god-like to ghosts."

"Dam," Dani said as her and the rest were wide eyed.

"It doesn't matter now," Danny said as he got up.

"You may wanna take it easy," said Clark, "you've been out for three days, Kara here hasn't even left that seat til just now."

"It was that big of a blast, was it," asked Danny.

"Yeah it was," Gwen answered.

"What matters though is that we did it," said Kara as she hugged her boyfriend.

-1 Month Later-

Danny and Kara just exited high school for the last time, then Kara stopped to look at the school.

"What is it sweaty," Danny asked as he put his arm around her.

"I can't believe that we're no longer in school."

"Depends if we go to college or not," Danny said gaining a elbow from Kara.

"Remember the first day we met," Danny asked.

"Yeah," Kara answered, "it's only been 8 months."

"Well," Danny said, "it was the second greatest day of my life."

"What's the first," she asked.

"The day I started calling you mine," said Danny as he gave her a passionate kiss, which she returned.

"Now come on, we don't wanna be late for are own initiation," Danny said as he drug her to his car, they both hopped in and sped off.

When they arrived at the Kent farm, Clark was waiting for them in his Superman attire.

"You two ready for this," he asked them as they came towards the porch.

"Yeah, give me a minute though," answered as she sped into the house, leaving Clark and Danny on the porch alone.

"I'm not gonna lie Danny," said Clark, gaining Danny's attention, "I was skeptical about you being good enough for her. Now though, I can't see her with anyone else." Danny looked at him with complete shock.

"Are you serious, you really can't see her with anyone else?"

"I know I can't, I've never seen her fall this hard for a guy before. So I guess all I can really say is, wait to marry her until she's 21."

"Deal."

Kara then walked outside, now in her Supergirl attire.

"Let go," said Kara as she grabbed Danny's hand and dragged him off the porch, Clark chuckling behind them.

"Okay Manhunter," said Clark into his communicator, "we're ready." A big flash of light then flashed from the sky. Clark entered first.

"To life being right," said Danny as he held his girlfriend's hand.

"To life being full," replied Kara as they entered the portal and walking into their future together.

-Ghost Zone, Clockwork's lair-

Clockwork was looking at the future of the couple of Danny and Kara. They saw the two of them being part of the battle that will shake the world to it's core. He saw them with a child with power the world will have never seen before, the power of both ghost and Kryptonian, and the clash this child will have with the monster long thought gone.

"I hope you two are ready for what's to come," said Clockwork as he walked away from the time window.

Arc 2 is down, that leaves three more arcs to go in this story. Marriage won't be a thing til the beginning of Arc 4, so don't rush it. Pre-warning, will be doing a two year time skip.
