I'm glad that you guys really like my story. I haven't gotten any bad reviews on it. In fact, I have people begging me to finish the story. XD I know some people might think that I'm dead or something, but I'm still alive and I'm still writing both of my stories! :D
So the last chapter was about the Rain Battle where we witnessed Squalo getting om nom nomed by a giant shark and where Yamamoto was victorious! Yay! So now, we're getting into the Mist Battle. Oh Mukuro, you psychotic, pineapple freak of weird. Though, I must say.. He does make stories interesting. Plus, it'll be lovely to see how Kuroi will handlits eyeing him.
[3rd Person Limited: Hibari Kyouya]
A cool breeze grazed Hibari's pale skin as he idly wandered around Namimori. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Though, it was a bit quiet on the streets. How pleasant.
"Hibari! Muffin stand!"
Or not...
Hibari furrowed his eyebrows in annoyance and decided to ignore the little, petite girl tugging on his sleeve.
"Muffins, Oni-bari!* Muffins!"
Hibari continued ignoring and quickened his pace. The constant tugging on his sleeve was only slightly aggravating him since he was trying so hard to not pay attention. The little child clinging and pulling on him was nearly being dragged across the sidewalk as she tried so hard to get the attention of (what she might think is) her older-brother-like-figure.
"Muffins! Muffalilililinsssssss!" Kuroi's eyes were wide with the longing for the baked goods.
"No," Hibari denied with a stern tone. However, this was not going to stop Kuroi.
Hibari continued unwillingly and unintentionally dragging the small girl along the path. With all the tugging she was doing, she might start ripping the fibers in the material of the sleeve. Such a troublesome child.
Suddenly, there was a sudden change of weight, and Hibari's left leg was suddenly hard to move. He stopped walking and looked down at what might've caused this unequal dirtibution of weight. If it were possible, Hibari's expression deadpanned even more than usual. It was obvious that he was trying hard to not lash out, but then again... Maybe he was plotting on how he'll distribute the proper punishment for the little nuisance.
"Get off... or I'll bite you to death," He threatened, raising his tonfas without raising his voice.
"B-but... MUFFINS!" Kuroi shrieked to make her own little point that wasn't going to help her much.
"I said no. Now, get off."
Kuroi tried to do pleading, puppy dog eyes to influence him more.
"No," Without saying anything else, Hibari continued walking. Though... It was more of a hobble since he had so much more added weight to his left side.
As he walked down the street, people started to stare at him and Kuroi. This aggravated him even more. Becoming slightly enraged, Hibari immediately stopped walking and picked Kuroi up off his leg (and the ground since she was being slightly dragged), and set her down on the ground in a standing position.
"M... m-mmm..." Kuroi's eyes were watery, but they still had the intent on getting a muffin, "Mmm-m.. M-muff.. Muffin.. M-MUFFINS!?
Hibari closed his eyes in disbelief and exhaustion. He looked down at her for a brief moment, thinking things over. Finally stuck to a decision, he grabbed Kuroi's left hand and hurriedly dragged her back down street to find the stupid muffin stand.
After ten minutes passed, Hibari was pleased that the quietness was starting to settle back in. Kuroi was now eating a chocolate chip muffin that seemed to be larger than both her small hands could hold. She was staring at the gargantuan muffin. The pupils in her eyes were big, as well. She must be excited, Hibari would've thought.
Hibari shook his head and silently sighed to himself as they continued idly walking down the street.
"Naaooommmmmm. Om nom mmm nom..."
Hibari blinked and looked down at Kuroi. The muffin was gone and her face was full of crumbs. Did she eat that ginormous muffin in one bite...? He shook his head again and diverted his attention to what was presented in front of him. He didn't want to pay any further unnecessary attention to a little girl with a big mouth for muffins.
After a few more minutes of walking, Hibari suddenly felt a small hand touch his own. Not accustomed to being touched by a person without being in a fight, he jolted his hand away with a slight surprised expression engraved on his flawless face.
"I-I'm sorry.. I just... Wanted to hold your hand... Is that all right?" Kuroi asked him in her little angel/adorable-mode.
Not exactly caring, nor wanting to have physical contact with anyone, Hibari looked out of the corners of his eyes at her and spoke in a monotone voice, "No."
"Why not?" Kuroi blinked at him.
"I don't care to have any unnecessary physical contact with anyone," He concluded bluntly.
"Oh..." Kuroi looked down at sidewalk and held her hands together in front of her.
Hibari was still looking over her, and her depressed expression was bugging him. It was somehow slightly annoying and really troublesome to deal with her in her depressed state. He thought about it for a second and stopped walking, turning to Kuroi doing so. Silently sighing yet again, he extended his hand out to her and looked away. Though his hand may be extended, it was held out rather lazily so it looked as if he were asking to shake a person's hand as a greeting. Understanding Hibari, though, he didn't want his hand to be held; he was gesturing for something else.
"I'm not offering to hold your hand," He stated.
Kuroi looked at him confused. The way his arm and hand was positioned, Kuroi gave him a High-5. Looking at her deadpanned and annoyed, Hibari narrowed his eyes slightly.
"No," He rejected her thought of High-5-ing.
"Oh, um.. Sorry," Kuroi apologized with her eyes widening a tad. She seemed to examine his arm again and after a few long seconds, she hooked her small hands around his arm.
Hibari only gazed upon her, and with her hands locked on his arm, he pleased her and lowered the risk of her getting sidetracked and wandering off.
As they walked down the sidewalk, a dark figure passed them. Feeling uneasy, Hibari turned around abruptly, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Hibari wasn't the only one who was unsettled about the situation, though. He could feel Kuroi tightening her grip on his arm. He looked down at her and noticed small tears forming in her large, golden eyes. He narrowed his eyes at the sight of her discomfort and took one last glance in the general direction of where the figure headed before urging Kuroi to keep walking. Her actions and the feelings she displayed seemed familiar in a way. She didn't act this way often at all. In fact, the only time Hibari could remember her acting this way was when she first encountered... Him...
...
[3rd Person Limited: Kuroi]
It took a while for Kuroi to calm down, but eventually things became very settled for her. She and Hibari were still wandering- or patrolling- the streets. While Hibari stopped to observe a couple delinquents making a ruckus- and then promptly taking care of said ruckus- Kuroi caught sight of a familiar baseball-loving teen striding down the opposite side of the street with his arms behind his head. He had several bandages over his arms and his face.
Kuroi looked back at Hibari; he was beating the noisy nobodies to a pulp while retaining a straight and deadpanned face. Seeing that he was currently occupied, Kuroi decided to head over to her sports-fanatic friend.
"Yamamoto!" She called out to him, waving her arm around to flag him down.
Stopping in his tracks, Yamamoto turned to see who called for him.
When he spotted Kuroi, he lowered his arms and waved back with a pleasant smile, "Yoh, Kuroi-chan!"
Kuroi ran over to the tall teen.
"It's nice to see you," he smiled, "Say, Kuroi-chan.. Aren't you supposed to be with Hibari..?"
"I am," she admitted cheerfully and pointed behind her, "He's over there on a biting spree."
Yamamoto shifted his gaze to the area she pointed to. Hibari was still biting those herbivores to death.
"Oh.." he shrugged and looked deep in thought, "Neh, Kuroi-chan.. Are you going to the school again tonight? Is Hibari even going?"
"What for?" She cocked her head to the side.
"The Battle for the Mist Rings is tonight. You know of them, don't you? I know that Hibari went to the last one- and since you're always with him, I assume you were with him and saw it too, right? So are you going to tonight's battle as well?"
Kuroi blinked. She didn't like hearing the word "mist". It gave off a horrible feeling for her.
Shrugging at the question, Kuroi's happy expression faltered to a more melancholic one, "I'm.. I'm not sure. I might though."
"Oh, okay." Yamamoto looked away from her and then spoke again, "Well, Hibari seems to be done, so I'll let you get back to him."
With that said, he walked off with a disconcerting expression. It seemed as though he was uncomfortable with the thought of Kuroi at the battles.
Turning away from his direction, Kuroi ran back over to Hibari before he noticed she was gone. The two of them continued their never ending walk into oblivion. Or at least that is how it felt for Kuroi since they have been walking around for a while.
Kuroi was in her room as night settled in. She was still debating whether or not to visit the school or not. She didn't want to find out who the Mist Guardian was considering it gave her a horrific feeling.. But then again, her curiosity gets the best of her, and so she must know.
Kuroi kicked back the comforters and jumped off the bed, creeping over to the door as quietly as possible. Peering out the doorway, she surveyed the area for the demonic patrol guard that lurks about the large house. Seeing that the close was mostly clear from what she could tell, Kuroi slipped out of her room and headed out the front door without getting caught. Looks like her stealth is improving for the most part.
After a few minutes of jogging down the street in the dark, Kuroi was finally able to make it to the school. Looking around as she entered through the front gates, she noticed that the only lights that were on were the gymnasium lights. So obviously, that's most likely where the battle is taking place.
Kuroi peered in through the large double doors and caught sight of Tsuna, Ryohei, Yamamoto, Gokudera, Reborn, Colonello, some other guy whose hair convered his right eye and two extremely familiar faces that she did not enjoying seeing. They were that fiend's little puppets... Ken and Chikusa. Along with them was a girl whose hair was like.. His.. But purple, and she wore an eyepatch. She even had the same trident as his. How uncanny.
Kuroi didn't move a muscle. She didn't want to be in the same room as them. Knowing what they did to her and her friends was enough to hold a grudge for a little while longer.
"S-Sora-chan!?"
Kuroi blinked at the familiar voice calling her name in confusion.
"What's that little brat doing here!?" Gokudera shouted.
"Now, now. There's no need for harsh words," Yamamoto tried to calm him down.
"What are you doing here?" Tsuna walked over to her with haste, "I don't think this is the best idea for you to be here."
Understanding why he said that, Kuroi nodded but refrained from walking away. Instead, she headed toward Reborn without making eye contact with anyone.
"Neh, Kakipi~ isn't that the little twerp that Mukuro-san tried to posses?" Ken questioned his friend with mockery.
"... Yeah.." Chikusa replied in that casually tired tone of his.
Kuroi ignored them. However, before she could divert all of her attention away from everyone, the group on the other side of the room caught her eye, especially the man sitting in the luxurious chair. He seemed menacing, but Kuroi of course did not fear him. Instead, she was intrigued. She was curious to know who he was and why he was so menacing. A giant robot stood behind the chair. The ugly, train-wrecked troll stood to the side next to the princess-PRINCE- and the hooded baby stood in front of them in the middle of the gymnasium with the unknown girl.
She was so tempted to head over to the other side and start questioning the scary man.
"Don't even think about it."
Kuroi looked down at Reborn innocently.
"He isn't one to play around with. And because of your.. Abilities, we don't need you getting too close to any of them," Reborn stated firmly.
"But... He looks harmless," Kuroi pointed at the man while giving Reborn an innocent smile.
"Well, he isn't. He is highly dangerous, therefor I forbid you to go near him," Reborn said with a dead serious attitude.
"... Who are they, anyway?" She lost her smile.
"The one sitting down that you think is harmless is Xanxus: the boss of the Varia. The robot behind him is Gola Mosca. To his left is Levi-A-Than and Belphegor, whom of which you thought was female."
"OH! I REMEMBER HER- I mean him.. I like him: he's funny and he makes fun of that guy with the radiation disorder on his face," Kuroi cheered with no fear.
"... And the baby in the middle of the gym is Mammon. They are not to be trifled with, so don't go anywhere near them-"
However, Kuroi didn't listen and was already on the other side of the room and was walking straight up to Xanxus.
"Sora-chan!" Tsuna screamed out for her.
"I-Idiot! What are you doing, Sora!?" Gokudera took a step forward.
"She's gonna get herself killed..." Ryohei was cringing at the thought.
Reborn lowered his hat in slight frustration, "She has no fear of them.. This could be extremely troublesome."
"Reborn, what do we do?" Tsuna started panicking.
"... Just wait it out and see what she does. Who knows, this could be a good learning experience for her," Reborn smirked.
Kuroi pranced over to the opposing side and stopped at the side of Xanxus's throne, "Neh~ What's your name?"
Narrowing his eyes to slits, Xanxus glared intensely down at the curious girl.
"You're Xanxus, right?" She smiled.
"Hn.." He grunted with a frown across his face.
"You don't talk much, do you?" She cocked her head to the side.
"Ushi shi~" Kuroi looked over to the blonde prince that laughed, "You're asking for a death wish, little girl."
"Why?"
"Hn! Obviously you don't know the true strength of the Boss!" A proud Levi exclaimed, "You'll be dead in less than a second if you don't go back over to that weak, pathetic Boss of yours."
"Boss?" Kuroi cringed at the sight of Levi's face, "He's not the boss of me. The only person that I follow orders to is Reborn."
"The Arcobaleno.." Xanxus muttered to himself in thought.
"So you're not part of the Vongola after all. If that's so, then how are you able to even watch these ring battles?" Bel asked curiously.
"I don't think I can answer that..." She looked away sheepishly.
"Why?"
"Because I don't think Reborn wants me to give out that kind of information."
"Then how about a little persuasion?" Bel took out a set of knives.
"Those are very sharp. You might cut yourself, so you should be careful," She spoke innocently.
"I know. And they'll cut you if you don't tell us why you're able to be here, let alone why you're even on OUR side," Bel sneered.
"You do realize that I don't fear you, right?" Kuroi asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Cheh! What a lying, little girl!" Levi barked.
"Hnn? No fear? And why is that?" Belphegor questioned while still holding his knives.
"I have no sense of fear."
Xanxus looked sharply at her, her words catching his attention.
"Oh? How's that?"
"I don't know... I just don't. I've been that way ever since I was born. ... I think," Kuroi scratched the side of her cheek in thought.
Xanxus turned his head a little and focused in on her hand. There was a rather peculiar ring on it that was black and gold with a red stone. It was shaped similarly to the Vongola Sky Ring. In gold, cursive embroidery, he could make out the word Inferno circling the red stone.
"Oi, trash," Kuroi looked over at the man who just insulted her nonchalantly, "Where did you get that?"
Looking down at his hand that was pointing at her ring, Kuroi became a bit flustered.
"W-What thing?" She lowered her hand and hid it behind the fabric of her dark red, sleeveless dress (don't worry it's a casual dress).
In irritation, Xanxus pointed his gun at her, "Where did you get that, trash?"
Knowing that she couldn't hide it from him, she had a disconcerted look on her face, "Um.. It's a family heirloom."
"What are you talking about?" Levi asked with a dumbfounded expression planted on his face.
"Are you blind, Octopus? She's talking about the ring on her hand," Bel lost his smile and became rather intrigued with her ring, just as Xanxus is.
"Sora-chan!"
Kuroi looked back at Tsuna; he was in a state of panic and was trying to get her to come back to their side. But before she could leave, a glass box was lowered down on them, not allowing her to escape to her friends.
"Reborn!" She shouted.
Reborn seemed to be too distressed to answer. He was not happy. Not happy at all. Kuroi was too focused on Reborn and Tsuna to see Mammon and the mysterious girl exchange in odd combat. Everyone around her, with the exception of Xanxus, Reborn and Colonello, was freaking out and complaining about illusions and reality; getting confused as to what is what. She didn't understand why they were acting this way since she didn't see anything out of the ordinary except for the fact that the two opponents would attack something that actually wasn't their adversary. Maybe they were actually seeing illusions like how HE fought with Tsuna in the beginning.
Suddenly, Mammon started to float in the air and the frog he had turned into a reptilian creature eating its tail, circling above his head. The pacifier that was hidden under his cloak glowed and indigo color while Colonello's became blue and Reborn's was yellow. The girl who was fighting, however, was not phased and was determined to beat Mammon.
Having a strong mindset, the girl conjured up snakes that encompassed Mammon, squeezing his guts out.
"This isn't.. An illusion?" Mammon wheezed.
Kuroi blinked. That's right, she isn't affected by illusions as much as everyone else is, so that means the giant snakes killing the hooded baby must be real, right?
"Mukuro's skill! The state of beasts!" Tsuna shouted.
That name. That misbegotten abomination of a name. It is his skill. Kuroi distinctly remembers what skills that man possesses. But the question still remains: is that girl really Mukuro in desguise?
"It's about time I unleashed my own powers, too," Mammon broke free of the snakes, "Thereafter, your true identity can be exposed at leisure."
The girl slammed her trident on the ground, summoning multiple large columns of of which appeared right between Xanxus and Kuroi. Neither of them were affected by it. Though of course, Kuroi couldn't see since it was never really there.
Mammon suddenly turned the columns of fire into ice. Making the room colder for most of the people in there. While he was monologuing, the girl was being encased in ice and was thrown across the room. Her trident was a few feet at from. Realizing it was not in her grasp, she desperstly lunged for it, protectively grasping it in her hands. Seeing that it was important to her, Mammon destroyed with a flick of the wrist. The girl started coughing and fell back to the floor, her stomach caving in.
"It's hard to believe, but it seems that this girl's life was being prolonged with illusionary organs."
Illusionary organs? Is that possible? The girl did not seem to be doing very well. If she continues at this rate without organs, she is likely to die.
"You did very well, my cute, little Chrome. You rest for a little while."
Kuroi's eyes shot up wide. That voice... It's him. It can only be him. Clasping at her head, Kuroi clutched her hair as tight as humanly possible, bowing her head down. Fog started to fill the air. The familiar presence she so much hated was becoming stronger by the second.
"He's coming!"
Kuroi shot her head up at Tsuna. He can feel it, too? Can no one else sense it? Is it just them?
"He...?" Yamamoto questioned quizzically.
"Rokudo Mukuro is! Mukuro is coming!" Tsuna shouted at the top of his lungs.
"Kufufu. Kufufufu."
"He's... Here...?" Kuroi stared at the spot where Chrome lied.
The floor errupted from beneath Mammon's feet, sending him flying back.
"Kufufu. You're showing off quite a bit aren't you, for the Mafia?"
"Him..." Kuroi's voice dropped an octave and her fists were now clenched at her sides. She was angry. Kuroi did not want to see him, hear him, or feel his presence. He was a bane to her existence.
"It's been a while," Mukuro smiled, "I've come back from the other side of the cycle."
"Rokudo Mukuro..." Mammon sat up, "I was wondering where I had heard that name before. Now I remember, about a month ago.. Someone tried to escape from the Vendicare Prison. The person's name was Rokudo Mukuro. But it should've been over when the escape attempt failed. I heard he was thrown back into a prison more impossible to escape from."
He was thrown back in prison? But, how is he here? It's not an illusion. Kuroi was perplexed, but was fueled with more anger than confusion.
"Kufufu. The information net amongst the avongola is not well informed. I'm right here, aren't I?" Mukuro sneered.
"You shouldn't be," Kuroi said with distaste.
"Oya oya~ My dear Kuroi, it's been so long," He smiled sincerely at her, "How's Hibari Kyouya?"
"..." Kuroi remained silent.
"What's this? You seem to be on the opposite side of your friends. Why is that?" He tilted his head a little as if speaking to a five-year-old, still smirking, "Do tell me you're not siding with this seeming dangerous man?"
"... It was an accident."
"Is that so? I do hope you realize the danger you're in when you are over there," He continued his soft speach pattern.
"I'm not afraid of them if that's what you're saying."
"I know. I've learned well how you deal with fear," He smirked and then looked at her ring which was now starting to glow red and black flames. Xanxus noticed it, too, and focused in on her.
"Please try to control your anger, my dear Kuroi-chan. It could be rather messy if you break out now," Mukuro advised.
"Lave her alone, Mukuro," Reborn ordered seriously.
Mukuro turned back to Reborn, "Oh, the Arcobaleno. I see that you're still very protective of her."
"I'm going to ask you once more and not again: leave her be."
"As you wish," Mukuro turned back to Mammon.
Kuroi calmed down enough to settle the flames. She didn't mean to spark them. It couldn't have been helped. Kuroi went deep in thought as to why Mukuro was siding with the Vongola at this point while Mammon and him were exchaning in conversation and combat. Doesn't he hate them? What is his motive and why did he warn her about the Varia?
Kuroi watched the two fight. There wasn't much going on since she couldn't see the illusions. But by the way everyone was reacting, it seemed pretty intense. Mammon was overwhelmed and everyone on both sides was in awe.
Mukuro started in hand-combat, charging at Mammon with his trident. Mammon was getting rather upset while Mukuro was indeed having fun. Everyone else was becoming dizzy, and corrupted in the mind by the intense illusions. Kuroi on the other hand didn't see much of anything, and so she wasn't affected at all.
Suddenly, an image appeared in her mind. There was a figure wrapped in chains, unconsious and floating in water while being hooked up to a machine that's keeping him alive. The image changed to showing all three of the Kokuyou gang outside at night.
"Mukuro-sama.. Our pursuers are..." Chikusa trailed off out of breath.
"It's impossible! We can't escape!" Ken announced.
"Kufufu~... No wonder they call it the impregnable fortress. This Vendicare Prison... It sure lives up to its reputation. Let's split up here and each of us will escape our own way. I'll be able to work something out on my own, but with you guys tagginng along, you'll just be a burden..." Mukuro was soon captured by the Vindice.
This was indeed a memory. A tragic one, at that. Kuroi felt sympathetic for him. She hated him so much, but it seemed that he wasn't totally selfish.
"You fell behind to let your friends escape..." the capturer said, "Very well... This man is the mastermind after all."
The scene switched again. This time it showed Chrome, but she was different. She acted and spoke like Mukuro... Tsuna's father was there, as well; Iemitsu. He asked Mukuro to become the Mist Guardian. That's how he got possession of the title.
Kuroi looked over to Tsuna. She could tell that he saw the same thing. They both had the same feeling.
"Mukuro-san!" Ken called out.
"Descent into Hell... Then, return again," Mukuro stated.
In the end, Mukuro was deemed victorious.
"He won..." Kuroi was relieved but still pained by the memories.
"I just have to rejoin these rings, correct?" Mukuro asked.
"Yes," The Cervello said.
"Not so fast!"
Mammon returned and claimed to have not been using his full power. Mukuro engaged in mental combat and completely overwhelmed Mammon, destroying him in the process. With the ring as one, the Cervello declared Mukuro as the winner.
"That Viper was.." Colonello trailed off.
"Ripped to pieces!" Bel sang.
"Eh, wait!" Tsuna shouted, "You didn't have to go so far..."
"Even now, you're still showing such sympathy for the enemy... Just how naive can you get, Sawada Tsunayoshi?" Mukuro questioned, "There's no need to worry. That baby managed to escape. From the start, he had every intention of reserving enough energy to escape... He's a shrewd one, that Arcobaleno."
"Gola Mosca."
Kuroi recognized the deep voice and turned to Xanxus.
"After the contest battles are over, eliminate Mammon," He ordered the robot.
Elimination? Of a team member by your own hands? Why? Kuroi was appalled that he could do such a thing.
Before turning away, Mukuro warned Xanxus about the strength of Tsuna, but it seems that Xanxus doesn't care. He walked over to Tsuna and the others for a very short conversation before fainting and transforming back into the girl, Chrome, who's body functions went back to normal. Her companions left her lying there. The Cervello announced that since each side has three wins even, the ring battles will continue.
"The next battle will dictate which side will be deemed victorious. For tomorrow's battle, the battle of the Cloud Guardians will take place here on the school grounds," The Cervello announced monotonously.
"Looks like Hibari is up next..." Ryohei said.
Hibari! Hibari has to fight!? His opponent is the gluttonous robot that Xanxus puts so much... Faith(?) in. Kuroi panicked a little. If he goes up against such a strong adversary who's capable of who knows what, will Hibari prevail? Kuroi blinked. Hibari! She forgot about him. She forgot that she wasn't supposed to leave. Kuroi sprinted out of the gym and back home in hopes of getting there before he finds out that she was gone.
[3rd Person Limited: Hibari Kyouya]
Hibari looked all around the house for her, but she was nowhere to be seen. He checked the backyard as well, but it resulted in the same ending: nothing. Hibari patrolled the streets closest to his home. He didn't see any sign of her at all.
Atfer a couple hours of searching and idle walking, Hibari decided to head for the school even though Dino advised against it when they were done training for the day. Hibird flew forward toward the school to help search. After a few minutes, he returned.
"Hibari. Hibari," Hibird landed on his shoulder, "Sora. Sora."
Realizing that Hibird found her, Hibari walked at a fast pace in the direction that Hibird came from. A few meters ahead of him he found a small figure walking unsteadily down the sidewalk. Narrowing his eyes, he realized it was Kuroi. She was exhausted and sweating. She looked as if she'd run 20 miles in one go.
When he approached Kuroi, she stopped walking and swayed back and forth.
"Hibari..." His eyes softened a little on her, "Mu.. kuro... Is back..."
Hearing the name, Hibari stiffened and took out his tonfas, "Where is he?"
"He's gone now. He fought on our side today..." Kuroi fell forward into him.
Instead of stepping back and letting her fall like how he'd do to anyone, he stayed put and kept her up with one arm. She was out of it; totally exhausted and now finally sleeping. Putting his tonfas back, Hibari sighed and picked her up to carry her back home. He couldn't yell at her for leaving since she wouldn't hear him nor listen, so he just went with it and decided to save the punishment for later.
However, Hibari wasn't bothered by her disobedience as much as knowing that she encountered Mukuro. What happened between them when he wasn't there? What did he do, if anything, to her? And.. Where is he now? These questions circled in his mind, but it would all result in the same ending.
Bitten to death.
[END]
Wow.. I never realized how long I made this chapter. It would've been shorter since I was considering on leaving it off with a cliffhanger after Mukuro's entrance, but I decided against it since I don't write chapters as often as I used to. But yay! Next up is Hibari's battle: Cloud Battle! :P I hope Kuroi can handle watching him fight up against a huge ass robot.
Btw in case you haven't noticed, I came up with another story called Hunted. It's about the Varia going up against an... Unlikely foe. XD it's a comedy and horror but mainly comedy. I mean.. Pure comedy XD no romance or tragedy or anything.
Anyway, let me know in a review what you think and tell me your favorite part and (or) quote. Until next time, I will see you in the next update.
*Oni-bari: basically Kuroi called him a demon. Oni: demon. -bari: last part of Hibari's name.
POOF!
