"Uhhhh… I like my old dad better. He didn't snog my mates…" was the first thing that came out of my mouth, I probably should have said something more supportive, huh? Chloe was giving me a deadpan look, but I could see her lips twitching.
"Elise is that your idea of words of wisdom?"
"no?"
"Hunny…." She groaned
"Well, uh. Um… uhhh… You and Legolas seem to be complete opposites, but then again opposites attract… You Lochlan and Gimli seem to get on great, but do you like that way? Okay! I got it! Close your eyes and picture someone kissing you, who is it?"
She closes her eyes and blurts out "Alexander Skazgard!"
"Okay… he wasn't part of the equation from what I gathered."
She looked really sheepish. "Yeah well he's hot." Can't disagree there.
"I think you don't necessary 'like' any of them, but you like the idea of them? I don't I've never had a proper boyfriend and I have to wait couple of decades till I'm allowed to date again." Damn being kid again…
She looked lost in thought for a while. I waved my hand in front of her face and she didn't react. I think I broke her, uh oh. This isn't good. After a minute of debating on what to do I heard someone calling our names. It's Lochlan.
" 'sup Lochlan? I did not break Chloe what so ever, but I would appreciate it if you would fix her please, thanks babe. I'm going to go see my new bestie. Bye." I ran off and left a confused Lochlan with a broken Chloe. I was not going to be the one who broke Chloe.
As I was running I bumped in to someone, Legolas… he helped me to my feet and wished me a Good Morning "Good Morning too, I guess." I muttered. I still haven't quite forgiven him; I know I should though.
"look I'm still really angry, but we have a long journey ahead of us and it's going to be even longer if we're not getting along, or being civil with each other." Curse my niceness.
He smiled and patted my head, before hugging me.
"I am truly sorry. Whatever feelings I had for Chloe do not matter anymore. I'm going to concentrate solely on keeping you and the ring bearer safe on this quest."
"And I appreciate that, but I'm still going to go see my bestie Boromir. So I'll speak to later, bye."
And then I scampered away waddle- no. I will not imitate the duck song. No, just no.
"How do fair this fine morning young Ellie." I voice spoke behind me. I turned to see who it was.
"Boromir! Just the man I was looking for." I engulfed him in the biggest hug I could manage, hey I'm small. Although, I think my hug surprised him. Does no one in Middle Earth give hugs? That's a travesty. He awkwardly hugs me back.
"You will learn to love hugs, trust me." He nodded in confusion.
"You are an extremely odd child. Affectionate, but odd." I grinned at him.
