I don't own anything.

Starless Nights

Crisp and cold, the night wind blew. In a distance, a chaotic scene took place in the grand palace; but, they have nothing to do with Misaki. Sitting in the humid and dark prison cell, Misaki felt oddly calm. Though Misaki never imagined herself being arrested, but her calm reactions scared herself. Perhaps the cause of her calmness is caused by the rapid process of soldiers arresting her from the mansion, leaving her no time to panic nor think. On the bright side, Misaki's calmness gave Misaki the chance to slowly puzzle the pieces of this case together.

The most important question at the moment was, who benefits from all chaos? Obviously, someone was trying to frame Misaki; but, the motives behind are unknown. If someone will benefit from eliminating Misaki then it must be related to Usui. From her existence as a starting point, Misaki soon linked to the possible consequences of her leaving Usui. First, Usui will once be legal to marry someone else again. Second, it might serve as a warning for Usui to tone down his activeness in politics. However, who would reach the extent of risking the life of the well respected Queen Patricia. Perhaps, it should be someone who obtains a passionate grudge towards Queen Patricia and desires to utilize Usui as a pawn. Running those analysis in her mind, Misaki soon realized that anyone involved in politics can be the one trying to frame her. Perhaps it's not just one, it might even be a group.

As Misaki continued to unravel the pieces of her framing case, the sun slowly poured into the dark cellar through the tiny square window above her. Turning around to look at the weak sunshine seeping into the prison cell, Misaki promised that she will never treat her freedom for granted.

"Haven't seen you in awhile." Staring at the man approaching the bars in front of her, Misaki calmly said. At this point, nothing surprises her.

"I'm sorry." Looking at the dark circles on his once cheerful wife's face, Usui felt guilt creeping through his nerves.

"So am I released?" Misaki didn't respond to Usui's apology.

"Not quite." Unlocking the gigantic lock, Usui said.

"Did they sign you up for this job?" When the doors opened, Misaki asked.

"I volunteered." For Usui, this was his only way to ensure Misaki's safety.

"Any updates?" Misaki asked.

"The queen regained her conscience, which means it is not a murder case but an attempted murder case. In the worst case of the punishment, it's exile. Also, they identified the poison."

"What's going to happen to me in the near future?" Misaki asked.

"After the inspector ask you several questions, you will be grounded at the mansion." Even Usui didn't dare to predict Misaki's future.

"..." From Usui's reaction, Misaki knew that her future doesn't seem bright.

"Please return safely." Leaning his forehead against Misaki's forehead, Usui pleaded.

Closing her eyes, Misaki savoured this moment of Usui's kindness and love. "I will."

Brought by other guards into a another section of the prison, Misaki entered a room with an old man sitting on an wooden chair. The dim lights only revealed part of the man's face.

"Have a seat." The deep voice said to Misaki.

"..." Misaki didn't reply anything, she simply took a seat.

"I will be asking you some questions, please answer them with honest words." The man opened a large book, and took out a pen.

"Understood." Obediently, Misaki replied.

"Where were you when Queen Patricia was poisoned?" The man asked.

"In my mansion, reading." Misaki replied.

"Where were you one hour before Queen Patricia was poisoned?" The man wrote some more information in his book.

"In my mansion, in my room going through old things." An honest answer from Misaki.

"Were there witnesses that can proof your alibi." The man questioned.

"Servants were in the mansion." Misaki replied

"Were they in the room with you?" Rapidly, another question.

"No." A simple answer from Misaki.

"Did anyone have contact with you during that time?" The man continued to ask.

"No." Something seemed weird to Misaki.

"What conflict did you have with Queen Patricia?" The man asked.

"Sorry I believe that was an alibi, which proves that I'm innocent." Realizing the bias in this investigation, Misaki protested.

"It's not a valid alibi." The man argued back.

"What conflict did you have with Queen Patricia?" Once again, the man asked.

"That was a legit alibi." Misaki once again protested

"Are you going to cooperate with me, Mrs. Misaki Walker." Frowning, the man said.

"...Yes." Looking down, Misaki replied.

"Now, what conflict did you have with Queen Patricia?" For the third time, the man asked.

"Not that I recall." Misaki replied.

"Did Queen Patricia ever verbally offend you?" Apparently the questions are biased too.

"Yes." Misaki couldn't say no.

"How is your marriage with Prince Takumi?" The man asked.

"Peaceful." Deep down, Misaki wondered what the question had to do with case.

"Have you had contact with anyone from the Kingdom of Miyabigaoka?" The man asked.

"2 Months ago." Misaki believed that dishonesty won't bring her any benefit.

"What are your motives in poisoning Queen Patricia?" Raising his eyebrows, the man asked.

"Excuse me inspector, these questions are highly biased." Misaki coughed.

"You don't have a clear alibi, and the only one Queen Patricia once mentioned not having a pleasant relationship with." The man pointed out.

"That does not justify your reason for asking me highly biased questions that will make me appear as the criminal." Standing up, Misaki slapped her hands on the table.

"Someone reported that you received a rare poison from the Kingdom of Miyabigaoka." The man supported his bias.

"That does not draw any conclusion." Angrily, Misaki crossed her arms.

"Disrespectful attitude during investigation." Writing the words down into his book, the man then looked up. "You may return to your mansion now, though you will be grounded until the court happens."

"Wait-" Furiously, Misaki stood up.

"The court will happen when Queen Patricia becomes stable enough to attend. You should be happy your status avoided you to be thrown back to the prison." The man said with a creepy tone.

"This is not fair! I call for justice." As Misaki shouted, guards entered the room.

"Justice will be served." The old man creepily smile.

"This is not justice. Let go!" Struggling from the guards forcefully dragging her out of the room, Misaki protested.

The doors of the small room closed shut, causing the loud thud to echo through the halls. Dragged by the guards, Misaki continued to stare at the shut door with a terrified facial expression. At that moment, Misaki realized that no one truly cared about the truth, all they want is to find a scapegoat and throw it off the ship.

By the time Misaki returned to the mansion, all the entrances of the mansion has been occupied by soldiers sent to ground Misaki in the mansion. As Misaki entered the mansion, she felt stares from the gate, stares from the soldiers judging her in all the possible ways. However, Misaki ignored all those stares and rapidly entered the mansion.

"Misaki..." Satsuki walked up to Misaki, but didn't dare to ask anything.

"I'll take a rest first, I'm extremely tired." Not wanting to answer and questions, Misaki said to Satsuki.

"I'll bring you some warm milk." Understanding that Misaki wasn't in the mood for questions, Satsuki offered.

"Thank you." After finishing her sentence, Misaki walked back to her room.

Though it's only a been a few hours since Misaki left this room, the room felt strange to her. Perhaps it was caused by the closed curtains, that blocked all the sunlight away. Opening the large curtains of her room, Misaki only found a few pair of eyes staring at her. Apparently, there were soldiers outside the gate, but inside the woods, inside the dark, keeping their eyes on Misaki. As soon as Misaki realized those glares, she closed the window again.

"..." Soft whimper voices escaped from Misaki as she slowly slipped down to the floor. It didn't take long for tears to slowly escape from Misaki's eyes. "I-I... didn't do anything..."

Crying in the dark room, the place where Misaki called home and the place where she believed she belongs turned into a large and cold prison. Though Misaki always knew that marrying Usui will bring her some obstacles in life, but she naively thought that if she just lived her life quietly and protect herself she will be excluded from the messy politics.

"Misaki, I brought you the warm milk." Knocking on the door, Satsuki said.

"B-Bring it in." Wiping the tears of her face, Misaki quickly replied to Satsuki's words. Before Satsuki opened the door, Misaki stood up and tried to look as fine as possible.

"Are you okay?" Softly walking into the room, Satsuki asked.

"Yes, I'm fine." Misaki lied.

"Have some warm milk and go to sleep." Satsuki then placed the milk on the desk.

"Thank you." Holding the warm cup close to her, Misaki suddenly felt a sick feeling. She put the milk down, and the feeling was gone.

"What's wrong Misaki?" Satsuki asked.

"Nothing, maybe it's because I'm tired. This happens quite often these days..." Misaki paused.

"What's wrong?" Once again, Satsuki asked.

"Tell Kanou to come to the mansion tomorrow." Misaki ordered.

"Are you sick?" The moment Misaki asked for a doctor, Satsuki got worried.

"How I wish it's just a cold or something." Knowing the situation she was in, Misaki didn't know what to think. Considering her lack of sleep over these past months, she was afraid she might have a liver problem.

"What do you mean?" Tilting her head, Satsuki asked.

"I'm going to take a rest now." Smiling at Satsuki, Misaki pointed out.

"Oh! Sorry! Take lots of rest!" Feeling slightly embarrassed for disturbing Misaki from resting, Satsuki soon exited the room.

Leaving the milk on the table, Misaki lied down on her bed. Wrapping herself in a thick layer of blanket, Misaki seeked for security. Rolling back and forth on the large bed, everything related to this attempted murder case of Queen Patricia continued to spin around her head. How should I prove that I'm innocent? Who is trying to frame me? How do I proof my alibi? Will I get the others in trouble? All these questions haunted Misaki everytime she closed her eyes. Misaki opened her eyes and sat up. She looked around the room, then got off the bed. From her desk, she grabbed the book that she didn't finish, and head out of her room. Without any hesitation, Misaki went to her secret base, the unused stable where she hid books as a little girl.

"I feel safer here." Lying down on a pile of hay, Misaki found a comfortable spot and began reading.

...

Slowly opening her eyes, Misaki still couldn't adjust her blurry vision. In front of her was a man, a man who looked extremely familiar.

"Waking up anytime today, Milady?" Kissing Misaki's forehead, Usui said.

"How did you know I'm here?" Rubbing her eyes, Misaki sat up and asked.

"When you feel insecure or tired of life, you always come here." Combing Misaki's messy locks, Usui said.

"My book..." Misaki suddenly remembered that she forgot to mark the page she didn't finish.

"No worries, I added a bookmark for you." Holding up the book, Usui knew what Misaki was worried about.

"Oh...ok" Still recovering from her sleepiness, Misaki slowly nodded. "Thanks."

"How are you?" While staring at his wife's dark circles, Usui asked.

"Worried." Misaki admitted.

"The court will happen after 3 days." Usui informed.

"How's Queen Patricia." Out of generosity, Misaki asked.

"Better, a lot better. She insisted for the court to happen after 3 days." Usui revealed.

"What should I do." Leaning her head on Usui's chest, Misaki asked.

"The worst case will be an exile." Once again, Usui said.

"I know." A simple answer from Misaki.

"If you admit your crimes, then it might just be a few years in prison." Usui suggested.

"Why should I admit to crimes I never committed." Misaki said.

"..." Pulling her head up, Misaki looked straight into Usui's eyes. "Are you telling me to admit crimes I've never committed."

"All the evidence are pointing at you." Calmly, Usui said.

"Just because I was close to Tora Igarashi doesn't mean that I'm the one who poisoned Queen Patricia!" Pushing Usui away, Misaki argued.

"The poison has been detected, it's a special poison only the royal family of the Kingdom of Miyabigaoka can obtain." Usui informed.

"So, you think it's me too." Frowning, Misaki realized what was going on.

"Misaki, I didn't say that." Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, Usui said.

"Your attitude is really clear." Misaki argued.

"Misa-" Before Usui could say anything, Misaki stopped him.

"You don't think it's me, but you don't trust me either." Crossing her arms, Misaki snorted. "You can't even publicly support me in this case, it'll probably cost you another bunch of support from old geezers from the grand palace."

"Misaki, calm down and listen to me." Usui reached for Misaki's shoulders.

"Why should I? You don't even listen to me?!" With a slightly strong force, Misaki slapped Usui's hands away.

"What I've been doing for the past few months, it's all for us." Usui said.

"It's just for you!" With her index finger, Misaki pointed at Usui's shoulders will full force.

"You don't know the reasons why-" Before Usui could continue, Misaki interrupted.

"I actually do! You're trying to avenge for you late father!" Misaki frowned. "I don't know the details about your father's death, but I do know that you've been destroying those nobles responsible for your father's exile.

"..." There was no response from Usui, but from his eyes he searched for an answer.

"Maria has to marrying the Duke of Kamimura because you destroyed the Miyazono family."

"If the head of the Miyazono family never bribed the taxation department, then he wouldn't have ended up like this."

"My point is, do you really have to continue with all these dirty jobs?" Holding onto Usui's hands, Misaki said. "You can put down the hatred from the past and move on with your life. You're just paving Gerald's road to the throne."

"... I can't." After a short pause, Usui replied.

"..." Deep down, Misaki felt betrayed. Not only because Usui does not truly believe that she's innocent, but the fact that Usui has been justifying revenge by saying that it's for him and Misaki. "You've changed."

"I just never showed you this side of me." Lowering his head, Usui said.

"We can't return to how it used to be, is it?" Slumping her shoulders down like a deflated balloon, Misaki asked.

"Misaki listen to me." Hugging Misaki tightly in his hands, Usui patted Misaki's back. "I can help you decrease your sentence to roughly 10 years..."

"In conclusion, you don't trust me!" Misaki released herself from Usui's embrace and stood up. "If I never met you, all this never would have happened... Maybe it's better to starve to death on that snowy winter night."

Finishing her sentence, Misaki exited the old stable. Misaki knew that her words must have injured Usui, but words cannot be taken back. As she ran further and further away from the stable, her tears uncontrollably flowed out her eyes. Betrayal and heartbreak conquered Misaki's mind that night. For the whole night, she didn't return to her room with Usui, instead she spent her whole night in the library. There was no one she could rely on in the court, so she decided to gain as much knowledge about law and toxic; perhaps, she can find ways to prove her innocent through knowledge.

When the morning sun rose, Misaki woke up from the calls of Satsuki. Apparently, Kanou already arrived for the appointment, but Misaki was nowhere to be found. Sitting up, Misaki felt a piece of fabric fall off her shoulder. She looked down, it was one of Usui's coat. Picking the coat up, Misaki held it close to her chest. The next moment, she buried her face in the folds of fabric and inhaled deeply. Indeed, even if Usui have broke Misaki's heart, Misaki still loves him. After a short moment, Misaki put the coat to the side and stood up, then walked out the library.

"Satsuki I'm here, have Kanou arrived?" Walking out of the library, Misaki saw Satsuki busily looking for her.

"Ah, there you are!" Satsuki paused and said. "Yes he is. He's waiting for you in the third conference room."

"Understood, thank you." Misaki replied. "I'll go get prepared, tell Kanou to wait for me for a little longer."

...

"Sorry for the bother, Dr. Kanou." Misaki entered the room and greeted.

"Morning, Princess Misaki." Standing up, Kanou greeted.

"Please don't call me that." Walking towards the seat close to Kanou, Misaki warned. "I hope you're not bothered by all the situation outside there."

"...Please the distance..." Moving away from his original seat, Kanou said. "I also hope that everything will be fine for you."

Kanou has always been the doctor the people at Usui's mansion would contact. During his student times, Kanou was good friends with Yukimura, one of the butlers working at Usui's mansion. Though Kanou's an expert in psychology and even earned a degree in psychology, he has been studying in other medical fields too. However, due to his fear of woman, it has always been hard for him to find a job.

"We don't have to go through this process every single time right?" Raising one of her eyebrows, Misaki asked.

"I apologize." Slowly, Kanou shifted his chair back to its original position.

"Check me up." Misaki rolled the sleeves of her dress up. "I haven't been feeling well recently."

"Ok..." Putting one finger on Misaki's pulse, Kanou then asked. "What do you think it might be?"

"Something related to the liver." Misaki answered.

"..." Kanou paused, a long pause too.

"What?" Tilting her head, Misaki was confused by Kanou's reaction.

"When was your last period?" Kanou asked.

"2 months" Misaki paused. "Wait..."

"You're pregnant" Kanou pushed his glasses and announced.

"What?" Touching her own stomach, Misaki exclaimed. "There's life in here?"

"Yes." Kanou replied again. "Fast pulse and late period."

"But I have to go to the court soon... I can't let anyone know about this child, they will kill it!" Bursting out of tears, Misaki started to cry. "I already lost him, I can't lose this child."

"So you're going to court pregnant?" Kanou asked Misaki.

"Even if I shall be exiled, I will be exiled with this child." With courage, Misaki announced.

"I'm asking if you plan to abort it." As cold as the sentence sounds, Kanou replied with absolutely coldness.

"This is the first thing I truly have in my life." Touching her own stomach, Misaki smiled. "This will be my new motivation to everything."

"You're not planning to let him know?" Kanou asked another question, referring to Usui.

"He doesn't deserve this child." Rubbing her stomach, Misaki coldly declared. "Do you believe that I'm innocent?"

"I believe you are. You don't play dirty tricks." Knowing what Misaki was asking, Kanou gave a honest answer.

"So even the citizens know about my case?" Shifting her focus from her stomach to Kanou, Misaki asked.

"No, Yukimura told me." Kanou answered. "When's the court?"

"The day after tomorrow." Misaki answered.

"I wish you the best of luck." Standing up, Kanou bowed. "I have another appointment later, so I'll excuse myself first."

"Thank you." Misaki replied. "Also, please keep this child a secret."

After Kanou left the room, Misaki just continued to sit in her original spot. She couldn't stop rubbing her stomach, she couldn't stop thinking about that life growing in her. Excitement and anxiety filled the veins of Misaki, then she suddenly recalled the unstable lifestyle for the past few months.

"I'm sorry, I must have gave you a hard time." Smiling and chuckling, Misaki continued. "Don't worry, you'll be treated as the most precious thing from now on."

As Misaki drowned in the happiness of being pregnant, the concern of Queen Patricia's murder case still lingers. However, Misaki believes that this child will bring her strength and courage for the court. For the child, she will fight against all forces; the biased inspectors, the one who framed her, Queen Patricia, Gerald Walker, and... Takumi U. Walker.

The night for the court to open finally arrived, Misaki sat in the dining room, waiting for the carriage bringing her to the grand palace to arrive. While sitting, Misaki looked outside of the window, and it seems like a storm was about to arrive.

"A storm in autumn, that's odd." Misaki said to herself as she caressed her stomach. "Right, little green pea."

Knock! Knock! A strong knocked informed the arrival of someone.

"Come in." Misaki replied to the knock.

"The carriage has arrived." At the door was Usui.

"You're supposed to send me there?" Misaki snorted.

"If you don't feel comfortable, we don't have to be on the same carriage." Usui proposed.

"There's multiple carriages?" Misaki frowned.

"Prince Gerald is also here." A simple reply from Usui.

"Feeding off from other people's misery." Referring to Gerald, Misaki felt disgusted.

Walking out the dining room under Usui's guide, Misaki's steps were heavy and slow. Many of the maids stayed at the side, as Misaki slowly walked out of the mansion. Before walking out the entrance, Misaki looked at everyone's face carefully, as if she tried to remember all these faces. To Misaki, that might be the last time she'll ever see these people again. As she reviewed these faces, Misaki named the faces silently; Yukimura, Erika, Honoka, Suzuna, Subaru, Sayu...Standing at the entrance door was Satsuki. Satsuki stood up straight as she held her door, she didn't hide her crying face.

"See you again." Before stepping out the door, Misaki hugged Satsuki tightly.

"W-W-W-We w-will." Satsuki panted from the lack of oxygen as she replied to Misaki's farewell.

"You'll be on the black carriage." Usui pointed at the black carriage, as soon as Misaki exited the mansion.

"Understood." Misaki nodded. "Prince Takumi."

"It's starting to rain, let's get going." Gerald, at the entrance of the gate, shouted.

Soon, Misaki was put into the carriage, with two bulky man sitting at her two sides. The carriage started to move, and the carriage that carried Usui and Gerald followed behind Misaki's carriage. Perhaps it was the good timing, the moment the carriage started moving, the rain began to pour in a raging manner. Silence and pressure filled the whole carriage, and Misaki was positive a tint of anger and hatred swirls in the small space of the carriage.

Ba-dump! Ba-dump! Ba-dump! In an absurd manner, Misaki's heart began to pump in a fast pace.

"Why is this happening to me?" Misaki thought to herself. "Why am I so nervous? Is my child alright?"

Taking in a few deep breaths, Misaki hoped that her actions would calm her heart down; but it didn't.

"Calm down! Calm down! Misaki you are innocent! You are innocent!" Screaming in her mind, Misaki's heart wouldn't stop the raging actions. "You will die! Your child will die!"

That moment, as if Misaki's heart had stopped, she stopped her breathing too. Closing her eyes and opening them again, Misaki's world looked different. Everything was in monochrome, including her future. Anyone, can kill her with anything at this moment, and her death won't even be mourned. What if she really enters that courtroom and ends up with a capital punishment? Shivering, the fear caused Misaki to realize that she was alone in that battle. Nobody could save her, and her child. A sudden rupture caused the carriage to stop, as well as distracting Misaki's thoughts.

"What happened?" The man sitting on her right asked.

"The wheels got caught in the mud, the rain man!" The horseman shouted into the carriage.

"I'll go down and help." The man sitting on Misaki's right jumped off the carriage. "Which part got stuck..."

Everything became silent, Misaki's eyes enlarged.

"This is my only chance." As soft as a feather, Misaki whispered.

"What?" The man sitting on Misaki's left heard a mumble from Misaki.

Sitting still with her head down, Misaki created an acute angle with her elbow. Without any hesitation, Misaki's elbow rapidly aimed for the man's eyes. The sudden action of Misaki not only surprised the man, but also caused a dreadful pain.

"AhhhhhH!" Covering his face, the man squealed.

Using this chance, Misaki jumped off the carriage, and ran towards the woods.

"Wait!" The other bulky man that was helping with wheels that was stucked in the mud stood up and shouted.

"What are you waiting for? Run after her!" Sitting the carriage behind Misaki, Gerald witnessed the whole process and shouted at Usui.

"!" Without saying another word, Usui jumped off the carriage and also ran towards the woods.

Misaki ran through the woods, she was supposed to feel pain from the little pieces of wood scratching her and piercing into her skin, but she didn't feel anything. All she wanted to do was to escape from all the threats, and protect her child. Panting as she continued to run, Misaki's hands were always on her stomach, desiring to protect that child in her.

"Misaki, stop running." Running behind Misaki, Usui shouted.

There were no signs of Misaki slowing down. Though she heard Usui's voice, she didn't bother to look back. The edge of Misaki's dress was wet and muddy, brown with a tint of red from the blood from her scratches. Nothing could stop Misaki that moment. Finally, Misaki reached the end of the woods, a cliff. At the bottom of the cliff was the broad ocean water, from a distance a storm approached.

"Ah!" Stopping right at the edge of the cliff, Misaki took in several deep breaths.

"Misaki!" The short break Misaki took caused Usui to catch up to her.

Turning around, Misaki saw Usui right in front of her. There was no way she could escape from Usui, he was too smart to fall for any small tricks she could perform.

"Misaki! It's not too late to look back. If you admit your crimes-" Slowly walking towards Misaki, Usui said.

"I did not commit any of them!" Shouting back at the man she loved truly with her heart, Misaki clenched her chest. "Do you actually believe them? Do you not trust me?"

"Misaki!" Usui chose not to make a direct response.

"You know? You really are cruel." A small stream of tears flowed out of Misaki's eyes. "Good bye."

Turning around, Misaki jumped down the cliff without hesitation. As she fell freely from the cliff, she hugged her stomach tight.

"Misaki!" Running towards the cliff, Usui tried to grasp the love of his life from falling.

Falling into the water, Misaki's conscious slowly faded away. The exhaustion and the water pressure hypnotized her to slowly fall asleep.

"Little green pea, I'm sorry I can't give you a perfect family, I might not even give birth to you. If I live, you'll live. If you don't make it, I won't make it either." Those were the last thoughts that lingered in Misaki's mind until she finally blackout.

Up on the shore, Usui howled into the sky with madness and depression. Kneeling on the floor, Usui continued to hit the ground with his fist. "Why? Why? Misaki! Why?"

"Did you get her?" Appearing behind Usui was Gerald.

"..." Turning back, Usui's raging glare met with Gerald's stare. Immediately, Usui stood up and ran towards Gerald, grabbing him from the collar. "She's gone! She jumped down the cliff! It's all because of you!"

"Calm down!" Shouting at his half brother's face, Gerald tried to wash Usui's hands off him.

"What did she do to deserve-" Before Usui finished his sentence, he blacked out. Cedric, Gerald's loyal butler, gave Usui a direct hit in the head.

When Usui woke up once again, he was in his mansion, in the room he and Misaki shared. Looking out at the window, Usui felt empty. Looking at the empty space beside him, the sight pulled him back to reality. Clenching his fist, Usui hit the side of the bed with all his force. The next moment, tears covered his face.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Usui said over and over again, but the person he wanted to apologize to was gone for eternity.

"Let me go in!" Outside the door was Suzuna's voice, and she sounded like she could murder someone at any moment.

Bam! Usui's bedroom door was kicked open.

"YOU MURDERER!" Shouting with a raging expression, Suzuna pointed at Usui. "BRING ME BACK MY SISTER! YOU CAUSED HER DEATH! WHY CAN'T YOU SHOW MERCY ON HER? SHE WAS PREGNANT WITH YOUR CHILD!"

"Suzuna!" Holding Suzuna back was Satsuki and Yukimura. "Prince Takumi hasn't recovered yet!"

"Recover from what? Betrayal?" Twisting her face, Suzuna couldn't hide her anger.

"Misaki... was pregnant?" Slowly turning towards Suzuna, Usui asked.

"Dr. Kanou has confirmed her pregnancy." Yukimura replied.

"...hahaha..." A soft laugh came from Usui, slowly the laugh became louder and more insane. "HahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA"

"You're crazy..." Witnessing the insanity running through Usui, Suzuna said.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA" Compared to a laugh, it sounded more like a cry. "I KILLED MISAKI AND OUR CHILD!"

Suddenly Usui stood up and walked towards the large window, the window Misaki would always look out from. He opened the window wide open.

"Prince Takumi! What are you doing?" Satsuki screamed.

"I'm going to go apologize to Misaki and our child." Calmly, Usui turned around and said.

"You don't deserve to die! Don't bother my sister's peace!" Shouting at Usui, all Suzuna wanted was Usui out of her sister's life. "You should suffer as a living person!"

Pausing his actions, Usui realized how much pain he brought Misaki. He truly doesn't deserve to stay with her, even in his after life. Walking back to his bed, Usui fell onto the bed and began crying again. However, this time it was in a peaceful manner.

...

Resuming back from his thoughts from 7 years ago, Usui looked at the cup of alcohol he poured for himself. His sight started to blur again, as he heard the sound of Misaki screaming and raging from the other room echoing in his ears. Those screams have lasted for a few hours already, but the pain in Misaki will probably last for eternity.

"I didn't want you to remember all this either." A tear dropped into the glass.
