"Well, it looks like I am up." Menma said as he turned to Naruto and the gang. The girls offered words of encouragement and Naruto and Ted nodded. Menma took off his tribly and placed it on Kusano's head (she began playing with it) as he began walking to the stairs when Naruto moved his arm and stopped him, the younger twin glancing at his elder. Naruto just reached into his coat and brought out a long wooden case, which was made from rosewood and etched with ornate scrollwork which was detailed with gold and silver fillings. He handed it to his twin, who looked at him in curiosity.
"Made something for you, thought you might like it." Naruto said to Menma, Menma accepted the case and made his way down to the arena. Gaara was already there, waiting for the next person to kill. Menma stopped at his spot and opened the case as Yamato was floating next to him. Menma's eyes lit up as he removed the present inside. It was a Japanese long sword, the blade was made of magical metals and polished to where he could easily see his reflection and others behind him on it, the guard was a six-pointed silver star and the handle was black with different colored wrappings, each color had its own color coordinated gem embedded into the handle. And the end of the handle had a gold cap with a wolf head design on it. All-in-all, it was an amazing piece of work. Menma noticed the small message engraved into the flat of the blade near the guard.
'To my younger brother, Menma, the only man I'll ever love'
"This is amazing, simply fascinating. How did you come up with this?" Menma asked as he turned to look at Naruto, who chuckled at his brother's reaction.
"Happy belated birthday, bro. And to answer your question, I came up with the idea for the gift about six months after leaving Limbo City. You see those little gems in the handle?" Naruto asked as Menma nodded. "Those are elemental stones, which you know what those are." Naruto said as Menma looked back to said gems and studied them, before asking,
"How were you able to get those, Elemental stones are very rare to procure" Menma asked Naruto, who just smirked.
"Doing a couple favors, busting my ass to earn them and fighting." I built the sword and modified to only you and those you trust can use it, also it has some surprises." Naruto answered, that's when Menma asked something that had him curious.
"When was the last time you celebrated your birthday, Brother?" Menma asked their 'family' looking at Naruto for an answer. Naruto actually thought for a bit before answering.
"To be honest, the last time I celebrated my birthday was when we were still kids and mom and dad were still around." Naruto answered.
"Wait, you're saying the last time you had a god birthday was when we were kids?" Menma asked. Naruto nodded and then added more.
"And to answer the upcoming question, the way I spent my birthdays from then on after the 'incident' was simply to buy a cupcake, put a candle in it and make a wish. Let's just say that when I was under their 'generous care', they made those days extra special." Naruto finished with Menma getting the hidden message, due to reading his mind a while back (after the big battle in the UMvC realm and before going home).
"I see." Menma said as glanced down, knowing full well how much Naruto suffered, and how he didn't really want to speak on the subject. That's when Ahri spoke up.
"That settles it, when we get back home. We are giving you the best birthday party ever." Ahri said as she looked to him, Naruto responded.
"You don't have to do that, I'm fine really." Replied the Nephilim, However this didn't deter Ahri the slightest.
"Nonsense, everyone should have good birthdays, no matter how old they are." Ahri finished as she tightened her hold on his arm, the others in their group looked at Naruto with surprise.
"Look, you girls really don't have to do this. I'm perfectly fine with not having a birthday party." Naruto replied. What Ahri did next surprised everyone. The vixen grabbed him by his coat lapels and slammed him against the wall, leaving some cracks. She claimed his lips with hers for a few moments before pulling back.
"Look, I know that you don't care for your birthday because whenever you hear those words, you subconsciously think back to those days when the demon's had you under their thumb and did all they wanted to you. However, we want to break those thoughts and replace them with happy ones. Half your life, if not more, was spent in pain, torment and suffering even though you tried to ignore all of it through your choice of lifestyle. Just let us prove to you that birthdays can be enjoyable, please." Ahri said as she looked Naruto in the eyes, Naruto then glanced at the girls and Ted, and then Menma, seeing that they all wanted to help him, Naruto decided to give them a chance.
"Alright, I'll hold you to it, for me and bro. you have from now until Tuesday to come up with an amazing birthday for both of us." Naruto answered as he looked back to Ahri, who smiled, hoping to help her husband, the others agreed and went back to watching the upcoming fight.
"Well then, where were we, oh yes, It was my turn to battle you." Menma said as he turned to look to Gaara. Gaara himself just pulled off the cork from his gourd as sand flowed out of it and around him. Hayate started the match and moved back, that's when Gaara spoke about what he was thinking ever since he met the twins.
"You intrigue me, Vergil. You are calm and collected, friendly even. But I sense darkness within you, one that feels full of determination, depression, powerful… predatory." Gaara finished as his sand moved around him a bit. Menma had a small smile as he replied.
"You would be correct on that note, but if we were to speak of that, then I can already deduce that your darkness stems from your treatment from your country and your siblings. They all view you as a walking time bomb, waiting to let loose and annihilate everything in sight. So they thought the best way to make sure that never comes to pass, they distanced themselves from you, in hopes that you don't harm them. However this made you very easy to manipulate to other influences, such as your esteemed council and other political members who wanted 'the ultimate weapon' under their control." Menma finished as he got into a stance with his new sword as Yamato sealed itself into his body (the crest between his shoulder blades, similar to Naruto's). Menma smirked as he said the upcoming words.
"But, I plan on making some changes now to help my brother in the near future." Menma stated as he disappeared in a blackish blue wisp of smoke, Gaara was unprepared for when Menma appeared in front of him and launched him back into the wall with a simple push. Gaara impacted the wall at high speeds as large cracks formed from his impact, his sand armor being dispersed and lying on the ground in a pile of sand. Suddenly hundreds' of tendrils made of sand emerged from the crater in the wall and lunged to Menma. Menma just focused his energy into his long-sword and the orange red gem glowed as the sword changed to an elegant rapier with flames coming off the blade, said gem was on the top of the hand guard near the blade. Menma was batting aside the tendrils with no effort as he stood there, with the tendrils being shattered into glass shards. Most in the room were amazed from Menma's swordplay as he handled it like a professional. The younger Nephilim tilted his head and a sand bullet whizzed past his ear.
Gaara emerged from the hole in the wall, since his sand armor was gone, revealing his 'slasher smile' for everyone to see with eyes of insanity. Menma watched with a bored look on his face. The sand genin starting giggling uncontrollably before busting out in full insane laughter and Menma just sighed as he glanced down. Most of the others in the room were a bit put off by the insane kid as he managed to cease his laughter.
"Yes! You are helping so well, now die so I can prove my existence!" Gaara yelled out as he sent the sand forward in the shape of a large hand. Menma decided to bring an end to the fight and focused his power into his rapier as it shifted into a Jian that had ice-blue aura wreathed around the blade, and the ice-blue gem was on the pommel of the sword. Gaara was smiling with murderous glee as he tried to kill Menma, however Menma decided put an end to the fight and tipped the blade on the ground as it made ripples of icy energy. In a split second, large ice pillars formed around Gaara and chains emerged from them as they grabbed Gaara's limbs and held him in place. Gaara was struggling to break free as Menma watched with a look of pity for the younger teen.
"I'm going to need you completely still while I make the adjustments." Menma stated as his blade changed into a Kris with an emerald green gem on the center of the hand-guard. Menma flipped it in a reverse grip and stabbed it into the floor as thorn covered vines shot out of the floor and ensnared Gaara's limbs and body, holding him in place as the thorns dug into him. Gaara watched in horror as he saw his blood start to emerge from the thorns digging into him and screamed out.
"AHHHHHH! MY BLOOD!" Menma snapped his fingers and Gaara's mouth shut itself. The sword returned to its base form and Menma walked up to Gaara, who was looking at the Nephilim in fear. Menma simply swiped his sword toward Gaara as the boy's clothing on his torso was shredded to bits. Menma looked at the seal on the boy's chest. It was crude to say the least, there were also multiple other seals placed around it, ranging from slave seals to the infamous dead man's switch. The Nephilim got to work as he made multiple runes glow on the floor around Gaara with a clap of his hands. The room turned dark as the runes were glowing royal purple and Gaara's seal started to glow. Menma started to chant an ancient spell as his hands glowed blue.
Menma sent his hands forward as tongues of energy snaked forward and erased the old seals as they started to create a new seal on Gaara's torso. Old, runic symbols appeared on Gaara's torso as Menma finished the spell and the room returned to normal as the runes on the floor vanished and his energy returned to his hands. Gaara was starting to feel drowsy as his vision became blurry.
"Sleep, young one, you looked tired." Menma said as Gaara's listened and succumbed to rest. The ice pillars faded and the vines let him go and sank back into the ground. Gaara was lowered onto the floor and slept with a small smile on his face. That's when Baki voices his thoughts.
"ARE YOU INSANE, YOU'LL LET THE BEAST FREE AND IT WILL KILL US ALL!" Baki shouted to Menma, who just ignored the instructor.
"Not quite, he only made some changes." Resonated an old voice. Everyone watched as a faint glow emerged from Gaara and formed to an old man in priest clothing next to the sleeping boy.
"And who might you be?" Menma asked as the priest looked to Gaara with a kind smile before turning to him.
"Greetings, young man, my name is Bunpuku. I was the former vessel of the one tailed Tanuki before this young child." The old man motioned to Gaara, Menma nodded and asked.
"And how exactly did you end up in the seal as well?" Bunpuku chuckled before replying,
"When I was in my cell back when I was alive, you parent's visited me, they offered me chance to live free, they detested how we vessels were treated by our fellow humans and wanted to change that. I politely declined and stated that I hoped that one day I could pass my knowledge to the next generation. Your mother gave me this trinket" he reached into his sleeve and pulled it out to show Menma a small hourglass with golden grains inside it. "It was possible for me to attach my soul to the sand spirit as she was transferred into a tea-kettle and into the young boy. And in return I informed her that she was going to be a mother with you two starting your growth and development within her womb." Menma raised an eyebrow at that.
"She?" Menma asked.
"Yes, the sand spirit is female and is now thankful for your adjustments to the seal. She sees the boy as a surrogate younger brother. A couple of the seals from before were designed to drive her insane in hopes of furthering the creation of an unstoppable weapon. However, since you made changes to it, it is now possible for her to be extracted without his death, only you or your brother could extract her now." Bunpaku said, this confused Temari and Kankuro.
"But he'll lose his ability to manipulate sand." Kankuro called out (he was healed and back in the room). This caused Bunpaku to chuckle as he corrected Kankuro.
"You would be incorrect, his ability to manipulate sand comes from your father's ability to manipulate gold and your mother's will is what keeps him safe, along with the sand spirits power." Bunpaku stated, mush to the shock of Temari and Kankuro. That's when he stated fading.
"Excuse me, it seems my time has come, I thank you for helping this young man and the sand spirit. You have my thanks and hers as well. So long young hybrid." The priest said as he faded from existence. Menma chuckled as he motioned for Kankuro to come down and take his brother.
"So, he can sleep now?" asked the puppeteer, Menma nodded as the boy went back to his place. Menma then turned to Naruto.
"I must say, Brother, this is quite an extraordinary gift you created for me. What should I name it?" Menma asked as he looked to his group. Naruto shrugged before replying.
"It's your choice bro, call it whatever you want." Naruto said as he smiled. Menma thought for a bit before coming up with a name.
"How about I call this Redemption, seeing as you let me make amends for what I did to you, mother and father." Menma answered as he smiled. Naruto nodded as Menma walked to the stairs and back to the group, sealing Redemption away in his coat sleeve. Hayate announced Menma the victor and the computer started up again.
Sigui Belmont vs. Temari
Sigui glanced at her sisters and friends before hopping over the railing, Temari doing the same. Hayate began the match and Temari grabbed her fan.
"You might want to give up before you break a nail, besides medical ninja don't have much fighting skills." Temari tried to taunt Sigui to forfeit, Sigui decided to correct the fan user on her claim.
"For your information, I'm not a medical ninja; I'm not even a ninja to begin with, seeing as today's standards just fling around flashy techniques. I prefer the term 'Battle Nun'. As I am a proficient healer and fighter, I would say my healing skills are on par with the legendary Tsunade Senju and can hold my own against some of the higher-class individuals here. I also want to mention that dislike your ways of fighting an opponent, blinding an opponent and going in for the kill? Seems like most of you don't have what it takes to face an opponent head on." Sigui finished as she watched Temari get angry at the last comment. Temari unfolded her fan and growled out.
"Fine, if you want me to smash that pretty face of yours to a pulp, then fine by me." Temari finished as she sent large gusts of wind at Sigui, who dodged them with ease as a blade attached to a red chain emerged from her sleeve. Sigui grabbed the blade by the hole near the end attached to the chain and the chain in the other hand. The older teen slashed through the wind attacks and let it go as she used it like a whip (with a blade attached to the end). Temari was caught off guard and received a few wounds before she reacted by using her fan as a shield. Sigui smirked as she whipped her weapon forward and the chain wrapped around the fan, she tugged back and tore it out of Temari's hands as the weapon was flying to the Belmont.
Sigui removed her chain from the fan as it was still airborne, pulled her weapon back and reached into her cleavage as she pulled out a small capsule of holy water with three blades joined to it (Boomerang). Sigui flicked her wrist as the blades pooped out and threw the boomerang as it shot forward and pinned the battle fan to the wall on the other side of the room. The capsule began glowing as the boomerang exploded in pink lightning, taking the battle fan with it a both were incinerated.
If Temari was not angry enough now, then she was PISSED when she watched her precious battle fan get destroyed. Temari turned to Sigui to see her reading a book, her weapon was stored away and she was clearly focused on the book. Temari was seeing red by now and pulled out a kunai as she charged at Sigui.
"How dare you destroy my battle fan!" she yelled as she got within striking range, however Sigui reacted faster. Snapping the book shut, she jabbed forward and struck Temari in the throat with the spine of the book as Temari reeled back, coughing and hacking as she clutched her throat. Sigui struck again by jabbing Temari's joints with the book and enough force to dislocate them. Needless to say, Temari collapsed like a puppet with its strings cut and Sigui put her book away as she spoke.
"You let your anger cloud your mind and in turn, left yourself wide open for an opponent to react and deal with you properly." Sigui informed Temari as she looked at the downed girl like a teacher would a child in trouble. Temari just gave Sigui a hard stare as she realized her mistakes and was taken away. Sigui walked back to the balconies as Hayate announced the winner.
"They're good, though they got nothing on you two." Ted said as he glanced at Naruto and Menma. The twins glanced at each other before shrugging. Out of everyone in the room, they were to most powerful; they just didn't fight at their full power. That's when Musubi tugged on Naruto's coat to get his attention.
"Hey, love? How come you and your brother hold back when you two fight?" asked the bubbly sekirei as she was curious. This also made the others in their group curious.
"Well, we do so to let the contenders have a fair chance. How boring would it be if we just tear through the competition like it's nothing." Menma answered, Naruto nodded as he agreed. The group besides Ahri and Sona were a bit confused at that (they don't know all about the twins). That's when the computer announced the next two fighting.
Dante Alighieri vs. Kurotsuchi
Naruto just glanced at the board before jumping down into the arena with Kurotsuchi walking down the stairs. Hayate began the match once both were ready.
"You know, I never would have thought I would be facing one of my favorite artists." Kurotsuchi said as she smirked. Naruto gave his own smirk before replying.
"Glad to see that people like my work here. But let's get to the action." Naruto said as he got into a stance. Kurotsuchi started by punching the ground and kicking the boulder that shot up forward to Naruto. Naruto punched the boulder as it exploded back into pieces and shot forward like a bullet. Kurotsuchi was having a tough time avoiding his blows as she was backpedaling to make some room. Gaining the distance needed, she went through hand-signs and slammed them onto the floor as a large earth golem emerged from the ground and roared at the Nephilim. Naruto just shrugged his coat back on and summoned Rebellion.
"C'mon Rocky, let's go for the gold belt." Naruto had Rebellion change to Eryx and bumped them together as he chuckled. Both charged at the other and Naruto ducked under the right hook by powersliding between its legs and punched its knees out. The golem growled in anger as its legs reformed and Kurotsuchi took the opportunity as Naruto was focusing on her creation to lunge forward and land a hit, Naruto already sensed her movements and delivered a backhand/fist as he caught the younger teen in the stomach. Kurotsuchi coughed up some blood as she shot back into the wall; she collapsed on her knees and tried to catch her breath.
Naruto leaned back to avoid a strike from the golem and went to town as he destroyed it with the Eryx, Kurotsuchi could only watch in awe as Naruto decimated one of her more powerful jutsu. She got up and checked her torso; she had second degree burns on her stomach as well as severe bruising there, she also felt some of her bones heavily bruised and organs almost ruptured. Her vest, shirt and fishnet shirt were incinerated and her bindings on her breasts were barely remaining in place. She looked up to see Naruto standing there with Rebellion on his back and a smirk on his face.
"So, are you going to kill me?" she asked cautiously, Naruto just raised an eyebrow.
"Why would I kill you?" Naruto asked, Kurotsuchi blinked before replying.
"Oh I don't know, you left an impression when you broke that kid in your previous match." Kurotsuchi said with slight sass.
"Oh him, I took care of him for two reasons; one, because I did not want him going anywhere near my niece Kusano, and two, the kids soul was stained with his deeds which he enjoyed." Naruto answered as he brought out a soda and opened it. This made everyone in the room except for a select few (Menma, Ahri and Sona to an extent) confused and wanting to know what he meant.
"What do you mean by that?" Kurotsuchi asked as she managed to stand up.
"Well, to put it simply, I can sense your soul. There are actions that can either condemn or cleanse a soul, the more one does will further decide the fate of their soul once they pass away. To put it simply, your actions in life decide on whether you get to the shiny gates of paradise or the ever-changing dregs of Hell." Naruto said before taking a drink from his soda, Kurotsuchi was curious and asked.
"Well if you can sense the nature of someone's soul, what is my soul like?" asked the teen. Naruto closed his eyes for a bit as he focused before opening them.
"You are a pure one, despite the rather, dark and more disturbing, missions you undertake for your village. You want to change that and bring your country out of the militarized ruthless dictatorship it is currently in. You deeply regret having to 'enforce policies' on the civilians and acting as a strong-arm for your council, hence why you speak to your old gramps to help change your home for the better. am I correct so far?" Asked Naruto as he took another drink from his soda. Kurotsuchi was in awe, though she didn't show it. He hit the nail right on the mark. Naruto sensed her emotions and chuckled as he finished his soda before throwing the can away.
"Wait, if you can tell the true nature of her soul? Then what is everyone else's like?" asked Melpha as she was curious about the young man. Naruto looked to his brother and asked.
"Should we, bro? Don't want to reveal too much to this greedy asshole." Naruto said as he thumbed to the hokage. Menma thought for a bit before replying.
"Well, I don't see what's wrong with revealing that little ability of ours. Plus we will eventually have to come forward to the others about what happened since the incident." Menma answered as he smiled a bit. Naruto shrugged before clapping his hands together. Just as he did that, everyone in the room gained a glowing aura over them ranging from shining white to inky black. The people in the room looked around and noticed the varying shades of aura each one had. Naruto smirked as he mentally counted the number of genin who loved committing atrocities (evidenced by their ink black auras).
"Well then, it seems we have some work to do." Naruto said as he looked to his brother. Menma just chuckled and replied.
"Seems so, though that also means Mr. Sarutobi himself" Menma said as he motioned to Hiruzen, whose aura was pure black and the darkest in the room. Akua then asked about Naruto and Menma's auras, which intrigued her.
"What does it mean if your soul aura is black but also has a white core?" asked the vampiress. Naruto answered that one.
"Let's just say that bro and I have done things that we're not comfortable with. So we try to make things right." Akua nodded, seeing as her soul aura was similar to theirs, along with some others in the room. Naruto canceled his technique and helped Kurotsuchi up before handing her a small vital star.
"This should heal you up; though I'm surprised you're actually still able to even breathe after taking a hit from a demon weapon." Naruto said, Kurotsuchi was a bit surprised and asked.
"Demon weapon, and what do you mean by that last part?" Naruto chuckled before replying.
"Eryx is a Demon weapon that Rebellion can change too, and what I mean by the last part is that humans are pretty much dead once they get hit by a demon, angel or any supernatural weapon for that matter, which means you are made of tougher stuff." Naruto replied before he held out his hand for a handshake, Kurotsuchi glanced at it before returning the gesture. Naruto then flipped back and landed at his place on the balconies. Kurotsuchi just smiled as she glanced down at the vital star and popped it into her mouth as she chewed on it. It tasted like green apple bubblegum and she felt her injury (both external and internal) disappear as she was healed 100%. She thanked the Nephilim and walked back to her spot, sure she lost, but she gained a new ally. Hayate announced Naruto as the winner and the computer started again.
Kurumu Korono vs. Ino Yamanaka
"Yahoo-hoo, Looks like it's my turn." Kurumu excitedly said as she skipped down to the arena. Ino just watched her opponent with heated eyes as she walked to the arena.
"Still exuberant as always." Naruto muttered as he watched his friend get ready. Hayate started the match and moved back, and Ino decided to try to rile up her opponent.
"I have to thank the exam proctors, because now I can beat your face into a pulp!" Ino finished as she punched her open hand with a grin.
"Wow, what's with the hostility? I know we're competing in these exams, but I don't see the reason of trying to 'beat my face to a pulp'." Kurumu said as she folded her arms, making her large breast seem bigger. Ino jealousy grew even bigger at that, she was envious of Kurumu's looks and form, so she decided to ruin the succubus to prevent her from 'ensnaring Sasuke' with her beauty.
"Because I know of your plan to seduce Sasuke; it's bad enough I have to compete with Sakura and the rest of the fan-club, but now you and your friends show up to steal him away! Not on my watch, so I'm going to ruin your looks for good to prevent that from happening." Ino finished as she got into a sloppy fighting stance. Kurumu sighed before replying.
"Look, I have no intention or desire to even associate with the brat who tried to kill one of my friends. He can go deep-throat a rusty knife for all I care, trust me when I say I enjoyed what Dante did to that little boy with an ego bigger than the moon. What do you see in him anyway?" Kurumu said as she looked at the young blonde.
"For your information, Sasuke Uchiha is from the prestigious Uchiha clan; who were all butchered by his rouge brother years back. Since then he trains to avenge his family. He also has the whole bad boy thing in stride." Ino said as she sighed happily and gained a dreamy look in her eyes. Kurumu stifled a giggle before she replied.
"How about no, Sasuke does not have the bad boy thing at all, he's more like a spoiled kid who pushes everyone away since he sees any and all forms of companionship as weak. Honestly the only one in the room that actually has those aspects would be Dante." Kurumu shot back as she pointed to Naruto, the succubus was trying to knock some sense into the young blonde, lest this become another 'Tsukune-style' betrayal.
"Don't talk about Sasuke like you know him! He's just waiting until he avenges his family, then he'll return those feeling I have for him." Ino responded heatedly, and then everyone started to hear strained attempts of someone holding in their laughter as Naruto eventually couldn't hold it in anymore and was laughing, eventually he collapsed onto the railing as he continued to laugh. This seemed to infuriate some of the people in the room.
"Is there something you find humorous with my daughter's feelings Mr. Alighieri?" Inoichi asked as he frowned at Naruto, Naruto managed to calm down enough to stand up and finished laughing, wiping an invisible tear from laughing so much.
"Hehehe, it's not that. It's really that most of you think that the broody kid even wants to 'dirty his name with interacting with any of you'. The kid would rather you all be his slaves than even consider you to be a potential pawn." Naruto said as he watched for the other leaf villagers and shinobi's reactions, so far he was getting some slight expressions of shock. That's when Ino voiced out her thoughts.
"Lies, Sasuke would never consider us that!" Ino shouted as she pointed to Naruto, Naruto sighed before he looked to Kurumu.
"Do you mind if I show her something?" he asked. Kurumu nodded, and Naruto snapped his fingers as a vision mirror form in the air.
"You see, when I was 'educating him on why threatening to rape the people that I care for will get him an early grave', I took a look into his mind to see how he ticks. What I found was… unsettling to say the least, if I showed you, you may just spiral downward into a suicidal depression." Naruto said as he gave Ino a look of pity.
"Oh, please, what did you find? That he is better than you in every way!" Sakura said as she was brought back into the room, albeit in heavy casts along with a metal device to help repair her broken spine. Naruto sighed as his head dropped.
"And pray, what were you doing in my student's head; I can have you arrested for stealing Inoichi's family techniques." Kakashi snarled as he glared at Naruto, who ignored him.
"I think it would be for the best to have no more interruptions, don't you think." Menma said, his tone held no room for rebuttal. Naruto started the vision mirror as everyone watched. It showed everything through Sasuke's perspective, from his change after the death of his clan up until Naruto finished beating him into a broken mess. Every thought, belief, plan, hidden motive, and pretty much everything was revealed to the others in the room. Jasmine and her group were officially pissed at both Sasuke and Kakashi and were thinking of ways to 'dispose' of the two. A few others (the other leaf shinobi and their families) sighed as their suspicions were confirmed about Sasuke. Naruto ended the vision mirror and everyone looked to see Ino with a distraught face and tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
"Y-y-your making this up, T-t-this can't be true. H-h-e doesn't think that way about us, me." Ino was stuttering as she was trying to deny what she just witnessed, her whole world was falling apart and she was in despair. Naruto decided to give some good advice to help out the girl and set her on the right path, away from what would lead to her death.
"Look, you want to call me out and say I made all that up, but I'm trying to break you out of your phase unless you want your parents to get a letter in the near future stating that their little girl was found dead in an alley or M.I.A on a mission with the spoiled brat. If I were to give you the Spear of Destiny as a way to help you and he hears about it, then you can your instructor's tar filled lungs that he will come after you for it, resulting in your death by his hands or him holding you down and forcing himself on you." Naruto had said weapon summoned into his hand and leaning over his shoulder. The others were fascinated by the magical weapon.
"Y-you sound like you know about this from personal experience." Ino said as she managed to get ahold of her distraught emotions and was slowly recovering. Naruto put the spear away before making another vision mirror and replying.
"In fact I do, I have a close friend named Mai Shiranui, she is VERY close to me. You see, before we even met she had this infatuation with a man named Andy Bogard. Like you, she believed him to be her 'knight in shining armor'. He always turned her away on date requests and her attempts to hang out with him. When she met and interacted with me, those feeling for Andy started to fade and change from him to me, someone who actually appreciates her and responds to her exuberant personality." Naruto said as the vision mirror showed Naruto and his time with the fiery, feisty bombshell of a kunoichi that was Mai Shiranui, along with Morrigan Aensland.
Everyone watched the vision mirror as it showed the start and growth of Naruto, Mai and Morrigan's relationship(s). Some of the guys were a tad jealous at Naruto from having more beautiful lovers. Some of the girls thought it was romantic and subconsciously made measurements of Mai and Morrigan's bodies, force of habit really. Naruto cleared his throat and spoke again.
"While she knew she was developing feelings for me, she was afraid that I would turn her down due to me being in a relationship with Morrigan, so she kept them hidden. They convinced me into joining the King of Fighters tournament and I eventually agreed. I eventually made my way up and through the matches and finally beat Andy and won the tournament. Mai's feelings for him dried up when she saw what underhanded tactics he would use to win." Naruto said as the mirror showed Naruto kicking ass as he made it to the final round, wasted Andy and won the tournament.
"However, Andy noticed that 'his devoted fan' was no longer going for him, this pissed him off and his defeat at my hands only served to fuel his hatred of me. He decided that the way to get to me was through her. So he tried to beat and rape her with the help of a bar full of thugs. She managed to escape and burned some of them. Once she went to me in tears and in panic of what just happened to her, I decided to pay him a visit." Naruto smirked as the mirror showed him kicking everyone's ass in the bar and giving Andy 'special treatment'. Simon was impressed by Naruto's actions, as were some others.
"I was hoping that was the last I saw of the prick, but no, someone helped him break out of prison and join up with the 'army of darkness' to take over the world and capture me. I decided to permanently deal with Andy so that he would stop hounding after Mai." The final vision showed Naruto wrecking Andy then snapping his neck. Naruto ended the spell and spoke again.
"The reason I'm trying to break you out of your obsession for the boy is simple really, Ahri here has seen time and time again the 'cycle' that obsessive fans go through. They all lead to death or capture and forced to live a life of being a slave, trust me when I say it is worse for the girls. So she makes it a personal goal of hers to knock some sense into the crazed fans before they become unnecessary casualties. There are plenty of other fish in the sea, but you might want to avoid the basket case that's recovering. Just be glad Ahri's not giving you one of her lessons, they'll most likely scar you for life." Naruto chuckled at the last part as Ahri playfully pulled his cheek. Ino nodded and smiled as she wiped her tears away and turned to face Kurumu.
"You feel better, hopefully that talk helped." Kurumu said as she unfolded her arms and got into a stance.
"Yeah, I'm finally seeing that I'm making a big mistake. So I have to thank them for helping. Now, where were we?" Ino smirked as she cracked her knuckles.
"I believe you wanted to 'bash my pretty face in for having better looks'." Kurumu said as she gave a smirk of her own. Both girls lunged forward as they battled it out and were smirking the whole time. The fight was somewhat short due to Kurumu having better experience and being better trained, offered a hand to help Ino.
"Your good, you just need to practice a bit more and not starve yourself." Kurumu said as she offered advice, Ino accepted the help and was intrigued by the Succubus's ability to grow her nails into long blades (she had her signature ponytail removed by said nails).
"Thanks, that's pretty cool, how you can turn your nails to long blades." Ino said as she smiled, Kurumu could tell that Ino was hesitant to eat more for her training, due to popular belief that she would become fat.
"Well, that's a little trick of mine, kind of like a special ability. Don't worry about eating too much, with your training and all that food you will need to grow, you'll develop into a young, dazzling flower." Kurumu smiled at Ino as she finished. Ino was confused at that.
"What do you mean by that?" Ino asked. Kurumu snapped her fingers as an illusion of Ino, older and more mature, shimmered into existence. Ino was stunned as she was looking into the figurative mirror at her older self. Kurumu made the illusion disappear as she looked to Ino.
"I think I helped you with making better choices." She said as Ino nodded and walked back to her team, Hayate declaring Kurumu the winner as she skiped back to her group and the computer started up again.
