Sorry it's been so long since I updated this again. School got really busy with finals but now it's over so I promise I will update multiple times a week. Well anyways, now to the part you've been waiting for... Another Chapter!

Disclaimer: I don't own Kickin' It or its characters. I really wish I did. That would totally make my life.

Jack's POV

Jerry, Milton, Eddie, and I make our way to the dining hall where we grab our trays and dinner before sitting down at our assigned table. It makes me sad to think that this is one of our last times here considering that we'll all be going to college next year and our last summer at Karate Kamp is almost over now that Final Kick has happened.

"Hey Jack." Eddie says, pulling me out of my thoughts. "Are you okay? You haven't really talked that much since you've gotten back from the hospital."

"Um yeah. I'm fine. Just thinking about Kim. Did you hear that she got accepted to Otai?" I reply.

"Yeah. Isn't that great!?" Milton says.

"But wait? If she's going to Otai and you two are engaged... How is that supposed to work?" Jerry says in a very confused manner.

"You and Kim are getting married?!" Milton and Eddie yell in unison.

"Shhh!" I say, putting my finger to my lips. "No. We're not. I didn't propose."

"Why not?" Jerry asks.

"Maybe because she's going halfway across the world for the next four years!" I say with a little bit of anger.

"Okay then! No reason to get mad at me!" Jerry says in defense.

"Sorry Jerry. I'm just a little upset. I had this whole thing planned out and then she just runs up to me and says she won't see me for the next four years. I mean, how are we supposed to have a relationship when we never get to see each other in person."

"I'm sorry man. That sucks. But I'm sure you two will figure something out. You always seem to." Jerry says.

"I really hope so. Kim's the best thing that's ever happened to me. I just don't want to lose her."

Milton's POV

We continue to eat dinner in silence. Everyone's concerned about "Kick's" relationship. Everyone has been rooting for them since the start and it be a little bit disappointing if they weren't together.

Eddie finally breaks the silence. "I'm going to go down to the Snack Shack. I'll see you guys later."

"I'm going to head out to. I want to catch Mika before the girls go to their cabins for the night." Jerry says.

"Wait!" I say. "There's something I've wanted to tell you guys all summer but I've never had the guts to do it."

"Can it wait until later?" Jack says. "I just need to get out of here and get some fresh air."

"I guess. But it's really important." I say.

"Cool. Well, I'll see you guys later." Jack says before standing up and leaving the dining hall. Eddie and Jerry leave pretty soon after.

Sometimes I wish the guys would just listen to me. I've been bottling this up all summer and now I'm finally ready to tell someone but no one's willing to listen. I mean, it's important to me and I wish it was important to someone else. I want them to know.

My sister has cancer.

Jack's POV

I really need to blow off some steam. I start walking down the road towards the small town. That's when I see a bar and head towards it. I open the door and head to the counter where I order a beer. The man behind the bar doesn't even ask for my I.D. which is a good thing considering I'm not old enough to be drinking. He gives me my drink and I sit down on a stool next to the counter.

I hear the bell above the door ring when the next customer walks in. I turn and see the one person who I did not want to see.

Rudy.

I look down at my drink, hoping that he won't see me. My hair hangs down, covering most of my face.

Please don't notice me. Please don't notice me. Please don't notice me.

The stool next to me screeches backwards and I can see someone sit down through the corner of my eye.

"Can I get you anything?" I hear the bartender ask.

"I'm good. It looks like my friend already got me a drink."

I look up and see that the voice matches the face. It's Rudy.

"Hey Rudy! Funny seeing you here..." I say.

"I was thinking the same thing! I'm pretty sure you're supposed to be at camp considering that the rules don't allow campers to the leave the campgrounds." Rudy replies.

"That's interesting. I'm pretty sure the same rules don't allow counselors to leave their campers." I say.

"Okay. So you're right but technically I am with one of my campers." Rudy says, trying to be right.

"And technically I'm with my counselor." I say.

"Yeah. The same counselor who isn't going to let you drink considering you're only 17 which is just a little bit short of 21 if I remember right." Rudy says as he grabs my drink and puts it down in front of himself before opening it and taking a few sips. "But hey, I'm over 21 so I might a well not let it go to waste."

I chuckle before Rudy starts talking again. "So why are you here Jack?"

"I just needed to get away from it all. Everything's been so crazy lately and I needed some time for myself. I thought the drink might take the edge of a little." I say, trying to justify my actions.

"There's only two days left at camp. Is this really how you want to be spending it? Alone in a bar in the middle of nowhere while all of your friends are having the time of their lives just up the road?" Rudy asks.

"I get Rudy but you don't understand how awful my life can be at times. I mean look at my life. It's a disaster when you think about it. My mom is dead. My dad is in prison. I got the wrong girl pregnant. And to top it off, Kim tells me she's leaving to go to Japan for the next four years right as I get ready to propose to her." I explain to Rudy.

"But look how amazing your life is. You got to spend two summers at the best camp in the world. You met some amazing friends. Your dad isn't around to hurt you anymore. You have two pretty great siblings and amazing parents now. Plus, you were lucky enough to meet Kim and just because she's leaving doesn't mean that you two are over forever. And to top it all off, you had the best counselor ever." Rudy says.

I laugh as Rudy makes it about himself. Everything he says really does make me feel better.

"And I think I have a way to solve one of your problems." Rudy says.

"What were you thinking?" I ask.

"Are you and Donna still looking for someone to adopt the baby?" Rudy asks.

"Yeah..." I say, confused.

"Well Joan and I have been talking and we would love to adopt her."

Milton's POV

I really need to blow off some steam. I start walking down the road towards the small town. That's when I see the abandoned train station and head towards it.

This place has always been an escape for us. I continue to walk down the abandoned tracks. I wonder if this used to be some popular station where everyone came before traveling their separate ways. That's kind of how it is for us. All of us came to this camp, this train station, only to later be drawn apart when the summer ends. Then we meet back at the camp again but now we know that when the summer is over, some of us will be pulled apart once again.

It's when I'm deep in my thoughts that I see a light shining through the pitch dark world around me.

Jack's POV

I'm in disbelief.

"Are you serious?!" I ask Rudy.

"Yeah, we are. Joan can't have kids and we thought this would be a perfect fit. This way you can still see your daughter grow up and it forces you to come visit me occasionally." Rudy says.

I pull Rudy into a hug. "Thank you so much. For everything." I say.

I hear the door ring again and I turn around to see it. Jerry runs in with panicked look on his face.

"Jerry, what's wrong?" Rudy asks.

Jerry can barely get the words out. "Milton was hit by a train."
