Friendship Bracelets
Gordo walked out of the school building and outside to the quad with his tray for lunchtime at Hillridge junior high. He scanned the crowded area for a seat, looking specifically for a certain someone. He observed everybody around him, but no one had black hair, with fresh red streaks in them. He walked around the quad until he found Miranda, lying on her stomach on the grass, far away from everyone.
Gordo walked up to Miranda, sitting down criss-crossed in front of her. Miranda looked up from her book and raised her eyebrows at him, followed by a grin. Gordo stuffed a hand in his pant's pocket and fished around.
"Close your eyes," he instructed Miranda.
She did as he said, but asked, "Why?"
"Now give me your wrist." Gordo reached for her arm and touched it. Miranda, eyes squeezed shut, yanked her arm back.
"Don't hurt me now, Gordo." Miranda warned.
Gordo chuckled. "I wont, trust me."
He pulled out a bracelet made of thin colorful rope, weaved together, then took her wrist and tied the bracelet around it.
"Can I open my eyes yet?" Miranda asked, scrunching her face.
"Yes you can open them."
Gordo watched Miranda look down at her wrist, feeling the bracelet with her fingers.
"What's this?" She looked up at him with a surprised, but excited grin.
"A friendship bracelet," he told her.
"A friendship bracelet?"
"Yeah, look." Gordo put up his arm and pointed to his wrist, wearing a bracelet identical to the one he gave Miranda.
"You have one too?" She gasped.
He nodded with a lopsided grin. "Do you like it?"
Miranda just opened her mouth and smiled, but that answered Gordo's question.
"We're bracelet twins," she said, bringing her wrist next to Gordo's and touching their matching bracelets together. He secretly smiled at her, wanting the bracelets to get caught with one another so he and Miranda could be linked forever.
A/N: Thanks for reading my little Mordo shorts. If you didn't know, I'm writing a Lizzie McGuire fanfic called "Miranda's Journal." There is four chapters up already!
