Chapter 20: Usami Gives it Her All! VS Dos
Narration: The assault on the base of the Divine 5 has gotten underway as Kizkin and Kamanimon are interlocked in a fierce battle against Una and Zeramon X2.
"Damn it!" Kizkin internally shouted. The villainous female then proceeded to jump onto the downed dark green-haired individual. She then proceeded to restrict him and prevent him from getting up while pulling out the blade that was hidden in her sleeve and holding it up, preparing to stab Kizkin and end the battle between the two once and for all.
"You idiot, get away from her!" Kamanimon shouted to the downed lad while Zeramon X2 looked on. "I'll finish you off once and for all!" Una declared while holding the knife up and lifting it up into the air.
"Never let this moment end." Kizkin happily muttered to himself before being reminded at the grave situation that he was trapped in.
As that occurred elsewhere Yuzen's group continued to conceal themselves as Speed Dodecamon fought against the drones, Dos analyzed the footage from the surveillance cameras, Tres prepared himself for the upcoming battles, Cuatro looked over the stolen Divinity Crystal and Cinco frantically looked over the charts, hoping to find a solution to the faults that had been recorded.
"Kizkin!" Kamanimon shouted.
A slashing sound echoed across the area as Una's blade was revealed to have been jammed into the ground while Kamanimon held off ZeramonX2.
"Thanks for the save, Kamanimon." Kizkin muttered in relief. "You let your guard down and it almost cost us!" Kamanimon grumbled after creating distance from the DigiFused creature.
"I honestly didn't expect that she would have gone through with that. It looks like I might have underestimated her." Kizkin thought to himself while looking on as Una silently stayed in place, not even bothering to remove the blade from the ground. "….That's it!" Kizkin internally exclaimed while coming to a realization after intently staring at the violet red-haired woman.
"Una, get it together. These guys are clearly trying to find a way to let their friends sneak into our base, assuming they haven't already infiltrated while we wasted our time battling against them. We have to finish this now." Zeramon X2 informed its partner. "No, the way they've struggled along with their demeanor up until now, defeating us is the first step that they and their comrades have to take in their hopes of getting revenge against our group." Una stated in response while rising back up.
"Kamanimon, get ready. We'll settle this in the next clash." Kizkin confidently announced.
"You've spent the entire battle trying to woo that girl and made a fool of yourself in spite of how many times it almost got you killed and now is when you decide you want to settle this?" the weasel-like Digimon inquired. "I'm not as simple and narrow minded as you think I am. After everything that's happened up until now, I've finally realized how it is that we can win." Kizkin smirked.
"Do you intend to tell me or do I have to play along to your whims again?" Kamanimon asked in annoyance. "Prepare yourselves, you two are finished!" Kizkin yelled.
"What happened to all that nonsense you were saying before?" Una asked in response while the eccentric lad simply chuckled in response.
"What I've told you before still stands true. Kamanimon!" the boy yelled as the Armor Digivolved being held up its scythe, which started to shine while emitting black sparks. "Silver Tornado: Ominous Scythe!" Kamanimon yelled as the scythe's blade was enshrouded in a silverish gust of winds. "They stored an incredible amount of power in that scythe. Zeramon, you have to counterattack." DemiPandamon declared. "I already know, Una give the command!" Zeramon X2 yelled to its partner.
"Ice Rage Shot was already countered before, relying on it to finish things now wouldn't be wise." Una thought to herself. "Ice Claws!" Una exclaimed to Zeramon X2's astonishment.
"That move won't be able to match their powered up technique!" the Enhancement Digimon retorted before begrudgingly doing as its master commanded.
"That look of his, he's mocking me." Una internally muttered before being swelled up with rage against Kizkin.
Zeramon rushed up towards Kamanimon, who in response prepared to slash at the enhanced being. "Go!" Una exclaimed as Zeramon X2 quickly utilized a single armed, and noticeably weaker, version of the Ice Rage Shot, which was easily swatted away from Kamanimon's attack.
"Now's your chance, Frozen Time: Eternal Rime Shower!" the violet red-haired girl commanded.
The foxlike Digimon shot the blades of ice that encased its claws at Kamanimon, who avoided the technique in retaliation. The blades flew out into three different directions before halting in midair, oddly levitating as the snow from the blizzard began to mold itself around the three blades. The ice formed into straight, sharp pillars of ice.
"W-what?" Kizkin uttered in astonishment. "The attacks from before were diversions? I should have known." Kamanimon internally mumbled.
"This is the power of Digimon Fusion, the Divine Five's power!" Una declared, noticeably losing her composure as the dark green-haired boy looked on.
"Kamanimon, we're getting ready for the conclusion. The next exchange will settle things." Kizkin sternly announced. "Don't tell me, he's…" Kamanimon thought as he seemingly came to a realization. Zeramon X2 crossed its arms as the sharp pillars of ice descended towards the weasel-like Digimon, who prepared to swing its scythe to carry through with its counterattack. "If our attack in this state doesn't work than we don't have a chance at beating them! Ominous Scythe!" the Armor Digivolved being yelled while twirling around rapidly, kicking up a storm of silverish winds.
"If this doesn't work, it's over." Kizkin muttered. The two attacks collided as the shivering winds and frozen currents kicked up a storm that engulfed the area.
"To even match this attack, curse him." Una thought to herself as she shielded herself from the piercing winds. Kamanimon began to lose its footing as the force of Zeramon X2's attack began to push it back.
"It isn't surprising, that fusion of theirs gave them the strength of two in a single body. No, it could have even amplified their strength beyond that." Kamanimon internally pondered while trying to hold its own.
"He's vulnerable, finish him!" DemiPandamon shouted after seeing Kamanimon wince in pain. "GO!" Kizkin yelled as he began to dash.
In response the Armored Digimon thrusted its arms up into the air, in the process managing to divert both its own technique along with Zeramon X2's Frozen Time attack, causing them both to shoot up into the sky. As a result of the two powerful moves, a powerful wind exploded across the area as the entirety of the forest was enveloped in a blanket of snow while the raging snowstorm continued to roar in the background.
"Our…attack." Una mumbled while looking into the air. "You're finished!" Kizkin exclaimed while taking her down.
"Una!" a dual voiced Zeramon X2 exclaimed in concern as before it could notice, it was struck down by the remainder of Kamanimon's Ominous Scythe technique. "Forgive me for this but you lose!" Kizkin declared while placing Una in a hold to secure her to the ground.
"Our Fusion isn't capable of being defeated by anyone let alone someone like you, this shortcoming is on my hands alone, not the power of Digimon Fusion." Una responded, surprisingly not even bothering to put up any more of a fight.
"Don't think that the power your group holds so dearly is such an absolute invincible force." a groggy Kamanimon stated while reverting back into Kamaimon.
"A coward who would strike us when we were vulnerable has no right to say such a thing." Zeramon X2 retorted. "Your hesitation and weak wills are what helped us survive in the end, no amount of power or form changes would change that concrete fact." Kamaimon responded. "But the point remains, I despise myself for admitting this but in regards to raw strength they most likely have us beaten. I could tell even when we exchanged blows that they were stronger than they let on and yet the restrained amount of power that they showed was still greater than that of that ally of theirs from before. If he didn't get in the girl's head before than who knows what could have happened." the weasel-like Digimon internally expressed to itself while looking on at the dark green-haired lad.
"It's a crime for someone with as much power and talent as you to have such severely lacking levels of self-confidence. Of everyone that I've battled since I showed up in Lyma Town, you're the strongest without question." Kizkin declared.
"You're lying, my brothers are the strongest." Una mumbled in denial.
"Their Digi Fuse abilities far surpass my own and using the Digimon we captured, their capabilities will expand even further and the Divine Five will gain the most perfect Fusion of them all." Una declared. "Forcing Digimon to fuse together isn't going to result in anything perfect or absolute! If you lose your individuality to follow what someone else thinks is right then what's the gain in such a method? There's absolutely nothing of value acquired through absolving yourself of your free will just to fulfill the ambitions of another. This snow-clad environment, our attacks from before created it, are we supposed to be satisfied about this?" Kizkin declared while showing to Una the barren field.
"It may not be the most concrete analogy but regardless, what sort of gratification is supposed to be gained from your so called ideal Fusion with such an inconsequential and fruitless end result?" Kizkin inquired to the speechless Una as he released her.
"You were right, I don't know you but even so, I won't ask anything of you, nor will I fight you anymore. I wouldn't have felt right leaving you without at least trying to help you, but I'd probably do more harm than good if I push you too far…Your allies are formidable but they aren't as perfect as you may think they are, no one is after all." Kizkin solemnly announced while Una remained silent.
"I've got something to do, if it happens that we can't stop your allies than I suppose in the end you, along with your group, were right with your beliefs. But still I'd like for you to think over what I told you, I obviously sound pretentious and condescending talking to you like this but I really am impressed with you." Kizkin smiled.
"Don't push your luck, keep up your babbling and you'll probably motivate them to get back up. We can't afford to fight them any longer." Kamaimon declared.
"R-right!" Kizkin exclaimed as the duo departed while Zeramon X2 split back into Zeramon and DemiPandamon, as the violet red-haired girl remained motionless, not even bothering to chase after the duo.
"BAH!" Speed Dodecamon exclaimed while emerging from a pile of snow. "What was that?" Yuzen wondered. "This snow, that Fusion Digimon from before must be near." Dynamon declared. "You don't think that Kizkin ended up having to fight against that snow woman." Usami muttered. "If it came to that, Shun can handle himself just fine. Fortunately for us, that blizzard from before took care of those drones that were tailing us." Yuzen responded while looking around.
"Hey, look!" Speed Dodecamon called out as drones began to emerge from the layers of snow.
"You can't be serious." Yuzen uttered in irritation. "They won't let up, Kizkin probably still needs more time until he can…Huh?" Dynamon mumbled in astonishment as it noticed the gate to the tower suddenly opening up. "Yuzen looks like you were right about your buddy." Dodecamon grinned to the sunglasses wearing lad's annoyance.
"Usami, Dynamon, go on ahead. Shun will need backup against those DigiFuse users, we'll handle these small fries and meet up with you guys later." Yuzen announced.
"Fine, we still have some elixirs left from Eric but there's no telling how much help they'll be if we get too reckless, so make sure to stay safe." Usami responded as the group split up.
"Blitz Barrage!" Speed Dodecamon exclaimed as it dashed towards the drones, determined to both create an opening and potentially distract their enemies who were most likely observing their actions up until that moment. "We lost our connection to all of the surveillance cameras in the drones we dispatched." Dos muttered.
"What? How did that happen?" Tres inquired in response. "I'm not sure, what appeared to be an avalanche buried them for a bit and given her absence, if I had to I'd assume that Una must have been ensnared in a fierce battle against one of the intruders." Dos deduced.
"What, Una? If it's her than we can't actually expect for things to proceed smoothly." Tres responded. "Possibly, I'll go on ahead." the magenta-haired individual announced.
"Hold on, I already told you that I'd be the one to…" "The drones themselves are still active, at least a majority of them still are, had it been an operative of the Digi Kingdom than they would have swiftly dealt with those machines with minimal ease. Whoever it is out there, they're acting pragmatically to force us to waste our resources to create an opening for them to break into our base while we preoccupy ourselves with what is sure to be a layered procedure." Dos announced while cutting off Tres.
"Our older brothers are preoccupied and there's no telling what Una is doing, so I'd insist that you stay here and allow me to scout things out personally." he added along.
"I can't say I'm thrilled at the prospect of taking orders from my younger brother but very well, proceed." the pale olive-haired operative announced.
Meanwhile Cuatro continued his analysis of the Divinity Crystal, ignorant to what was transpiring beyond the walls of his office.
"Rather than tasking Dos with the objective of pursuing a rodent who had most likely already perished, would it be wise to contact Master for his own insight on this object?" Cuatro wondered to himself.
Elsewhere over at Romain City, a large poodle-like creature walked up the stairs in a peculiar tower.
It was covered in a large and admittedly bulky armor, which was accented with red and silver around various parts of its body, notably the claws, arms, ears, among others, along with having two triangle like red markings on its chest and torso. It had blasters shaped arms along with an engine-like attachment to its back. It wore silver and green pointed boots as well. The poodle-like creature arrived in what appeared to be its destination as it then banged on the door loudly, patiently waiting for an answer. The door began to slowly open as Zenma calmly emerged from the room.
"Digimon Assassin." the Android type Digimon muttered. "What are you doing in my domain, Keen Hound?" the blonde and blue-haired individual smirked while sporting a mildly condescending expression.
"You can cut the act, you should know full well that I am here on orders." the Android Digimon calmly responded.
"Oh, is it possible that Kamimon sent you out to kill me? Or could it have been one of those Six Kings instead?" Zenma inquired in retaliation. "No, you overestimate your standing if you actually think such lengths would be taken for you alone, you're only human after all. I am here on orders to deal with a sunglasses wearing boy, who is worth one million." the Commanding Knight announced while showing Zenma Yuzen's poster.
"If I recall, he's the one who escaped the Digi Prison, right? So I take it that Wardenmon was the one who tasked you with this mission, Rapidmon?" Wyvermon queried while walking out of the other room.
"No, this was a mission ordered by one of the Six Kings. The boy himself isn't a threat but his supposed similarities to a certain individual spurred even beings as powerful as those six to want to take immediate action to preemptively strike down a possible threat." Rapidmon replied.
"So why have you come to me?" Zenma inquired.
"The possible route that the boy could have taken would have required for him to make it past Romain City, in other words it would have been very likely that you would have encountered him in that scenario assuming that my deduction is indeed accurate." Rapidmon announced. "I see, in other words you want me to speak up and tell you everything you want to hear." the Digimon Assassin smirked.
"WereGarurumon and JewelBeemon had ventured out to Lyma Town while I traveled to this city, but during their stay some difficulties were encountered and they sent out a reported sighting of the sunglasses boy to me as well." Rapidmon responded. "More specifically you want me to confirm that I had indeed met with that boy, correct? You didn't come to me with the mentality that I might have knowledge on the boy but rather you already made up your mind on the assumption that I was without a doubt involved with him in some form." Zenma announced as the Android Digimon glared at him.
"If the boy is in Lyma Town than why not go there yourself?" Wyvermon wondered.
"There is already an operative dealing with things on that front, but I won't allow you to get away with allowing a criminal to escape." Rapidmon sternly answered.
"It can't be helped that a few rats slip by here and there, my record as an Assassin isn't perfect nor should I alone be expected to eradicate every vermin. After all, I'm only human." Zenma mockingly announced while staring down the Android Digimon, who in response pointed one of his blasters at the duo. "Whether you are guilty through association or not, I will not condone such insubordination." Rapidmon declared. "It can't be helped." Zenma sighed as he held out his Digivice.
"Rapidmon, I work for the Digi Kingdom as do you, but don't get in over your head, my title Digimon Assassin applies for more than just rogues after all." the blonde and blue-haired man announced.
"What is with this place, it's so empty." Usami muttered after having successfully invaded the base of the Divine Five along with Dynamon as they wandered in a ruined room, filled with debris and devastated décor.
"The interior was presumably designed in a way to give off the impression that this was no more than a run of the mill abandoned facility to ward off anyone who may have snooped around a bit too much." the beaver-like Digimon stated. "What should we do, it won't be long before someone finds out that we're…Look out!" Usami exclaimed after seeing GimmickLiomon and Puppetmon rush towards them to attack.
In retaliation Dynamon successfully grabbed onto Usami and avoided their attacks, as they collided into a wall.
As smoke was kicked up from the collision a bright magenta glow engulfed the room as both GimmickLiomon and Puppetmon had DigiFused into PuppetLiomon.
"You aren't the sunglasses wearing fool from before." Dos muttered while appearing before the two. "Two puppet-like Digimon, this guy must be the person that Yuzen faced off against back in Lyma Town." Dynamon muttered.
"Since he's here along with that snow woman than that means that the separate attacks against us in the past were without question linked together." Usami announced to her partner.
"Separate attacks? I see, she must be here with someone, possibly the sunglasses guy. Along with that it looks like Una really did go ahead and messed things up even further than we assumed." Dos thought to himself while coming to that deduction after overhearing Usami's statement.
"Surrender, you can't win." the operative announced. "If you survived than I take it, it was due to Una's weakness. Is it possible that the sunglasses wearing boy I took that crystal from survived as well?" Dos added along.
"Una? Tch, I'm here on my own!" Usami falsely declared.
"You have a lot of nerve to make such declarations, as if someone like you could stand up to us on your own. I already received orders to eradicate the intruders so I won't dawdle on any further, PuppetLiomon." the magenta-haired individual commanded.
"Hammer Impact!" PuppetLiomon shouted while detaching and then swinging its hammer at Dynamon.
"Spark Bullet!" Dynamon exclaimed after avoiding the hammer. The evolved Digimon then held out its arms, which became blasters. It then shot out a silver bolt of electricity at the Enhanced Puppet Digimon. In response the DigiFused being turned its hammer around as it used the blade-end of the other side of its weapon to slash through the Spark Bullet.
"Tch, Bullet Barrage!" Dynamon added along as it released multiple silver colored beams at the ceiling above PuppetLiomon.
"How shrewd." Dos muttered as the part of the ceiling that was blasted caved in and fell on the Enhanced Puppet Digimon. "That won't be enough to take them out, keep on the assault!" Usami exclaimed. "Right, consecutive attacks should slow them down at the very least. Rapid Fire!" the beaver-like Digimon exclaimed while it pelted the downed PuppetLiomon. "Laser Blast!" Usami commanded as Dynamon shot an orange colored beam at the pile of rubble, which caused an explosion.
"At the very least they're stronger than that other duo we faced off against." Dos stated.
"That isn't really saying much." PuppetLiomon grinned as it appeared behind of Dynamon and kicked it across the room with great force.
"I figured that those attacks wouldn't do a whole lot of damage but to be unaffected to such a degree." Usami woefully thought to herself. "Cinco won't like it if I take too long to take care of scum like you lot, assuming that Una has already been defeated along with your lack of fatigue and exhaustion that means that there should be at the very least one other person working with you, right?" Dos inquired to Usami's annoyance. "The look on your face says it all, how else would you have managed to sneak in here? It looks like Una wasn't the only one who screwed up in the end. It looks like the very pride of the Divine Five will be on the line if I allow you people to proceed as you please." the magenta-haired operative then added along.
"We'll finish this in an instant, Spiral Cross!" the Enhanced Puppet Digimon threw the crosses attached to its forearms as projectiles at the downed Dynamon.
"Deflect that with Spiral Beam!" Usami called out as the beaver-like Digimon's arms once again became blasters. It then shot out a spiraling pale beam at one of the two crosses, as a result disrupting the trajectory of the crosses and sending them flying to separate parts of the room.
"How did she know not to let the crosses approach them?" PuppetLiomon wondered to itself. "Were they tipped off of our abilities or was it plain dumb luck?" Dos wondered to himself in discontent.
"If they came in knowing of our abilities and tactics than that must mean our surrendering shtick won't work either, huh?" Puppetmon asked. "Shut up, it wouldn't have worked regardless of if they had any knowledge on us or not." PuppetLiomon responded.
"Dodecamon already told us before about the Puppet Digimon's tactics, along with the hidden strings in those crosses of theirs. Dynamon's regular attacks won't work even as a distraction so we may just have to start hitting them with our special techniques. But can we afford to, using too much energy on just our first battle will put us in trouble if reinforcements arrive before this battle finishes." Usami pondered on while trying to decide on the next course of action for the duo to take against their powerful adversaries.
"Focus on us, we're your opponents. Destructive Cross!" PuppetLiomon exclaimed while detaching the crosses on its forearms and melding them together into a cross similar in shape to the one attached to Puppetmon's back.
"He's right." Dos muttered as he suddenly appeared behind of the silver-haired lass, much to her astonishment. The magenta-haired individual then attempted to use a pocket knife to strike her down, but was unable to as Usami had managed to avoid him and create distance between the two.
"How cowardly, you fiends. You should try and crush me before you even think about laying a hand on Usami!" Dynamon exclaimed while rising up to its feet.
"At your behest." the Enhanced Puppet Digimon mockingly responded.
The cross it held emitted a bright glow as it prepared to throw the projectile at the Digivolved creature. "I have to act quickly, Laser Blast: Hole Formation!" Dynamon shouted. The Digivolved beaver-like Digimon held out both of its blaster arms and shot out multiple lasers into the ground around PuppetLiomon, creating a large hole in the process. In the process the DigiFused Digimon lost its balance as it threw its cross up into the air, causing a massive explosion in the process, blowing away Dynamon and Usami as Dos ducked for cover while the entire room was filled with dust.
"*pant* Man, that battle with Una really exhausted me more than I expected." Kizkin muttered in exhaustion while lying against a wall as both he and Kamaimon obscured themselves from view.
"That elixir that the others gave us will take a while to kick in, even if it has a better effect on Digimon it'll be quite some time before we can move around freely." the weasel-like Digimon announced. "Come to think of it, we came in knowing that there was a group of criminals here but even now we don't know if the three that attacked us, Yuzen and Usami are the only ones behind all of this." the dark green-haired boy muttered.
"I mean while the name Divine Five implies there are at least five members there is no guarantee that this is truly the case." he then added along.
"You do have a point, added along to that there is no indication that any other operatives that are affiliated with them aren't easily stronger than all three of the criminals that our group has faced off against." Kamaimon responded.
"If only Davin and the others were around to help us, we might have been in a better situation with more backup." the gang leader expressed, missing his subordinates.
"It's for the best that those guys aren't around. After all, the Divine Five's scheme has included the kidnapping of others to further satisfy their so called ideal fusion so there is no guarantee that they may not have used their resources to capture your subordinates when they were vulnerable, as they did to the citizens of Lyma Town." the weasel-like creature answered to its partner.
"I guess you're right…But still, there should be something we can do." Kizkin mumbled.
"Why don't you use some of that mechanical expertise of yours to hack into their system or something?" Kamaimon inquired. "Not all kinds of technology fall into the same category you know, just because I'm proficient with some forms of engineering doesn't exactly mean that I'd excel at handling whatever kind of software these guys use to the same degree. That's an awfully ignorant way to perceive it." Kizkin retorted. "It's always something." Kamaimon grumbled in irritation.
An awkward silence echoed across the debris filled room.
"Dynamon, are you alright?" Usami inquired after emerging from a pile of rubble. "Yeah, I'll manage." Dynamon responded while rising back up. "You people are more trouble than you're worth." PuppetLiomon announced as it and its master stood before their opponents. "PuppetLiomon's strength should be enough to handle you two the way you are now. Go." the magenta-haired individual called out as the Enhanced Puppet Digimon leaped towards the duo.
"Hammer Impact!" it exclaimed as Dynamon avoided the attack. "Laser Blast: Tornado Formation!" Usami declared.
The beaver-like Digimon's arms once again became blasters. It then spun while it unleashed its Laser Blast in a swirling motion, which was reminiscent of a tornado, sending PuppetLiomon flying, much to Dos' astonishment.
"What power." the GimmickLiomon component of the DigiFused being internally expressed. "Were they hiding their strength?" the Puppetmon component wondered.
"You surprised me there, I didn't think anything you could do would cause me any real damage." PuppetLiomon nonchalantly announced. "But one lucky hit won't be enough to take us down, Destructive Cross!" the Enhanced Puppet Digimon exclaimed while this time dashing towards Dynamon rather than throwing its weapon from a distance as it had previously done.
"I see, our attacks have been doing gradual damage to them. We'll need to keep up with using our stronger moves to take them out." Usami internally thought to herself.
"If you want to fight at close range than fine. Laser Blast: Drill Formation!" the Digivolved being yelled as it held out both of its arms. It then leaped up into the air and began to spin itself like a drill while simultaneously spinning, enveloping itself in a spiraling veil of energy. Dynamon slammed itself in PuppetLiomon's body as the Enhanced Puppet Digimon was sent flying by the great force of its opponent's devastating technique.
"They forced us back again." Dos thought to himself while gritting his teeth.
"Hey, hey, get it together!" Puppetmon exclaimed. "Their attacks inflicted more damage than I expected, they've been attacking us consecutively and yet only now have they started to have an effect on us." GimmickLiomon thought to itself. "Dynamon, don't let them rest! Keep on with that Drill Formation!" the silver-haired lass called out to her partner, who did as she commanded.
"Nylonmon!" Dos shouted. Right before Dynamon could continue its attack, a large amount of string appeared and attempted to ensnare itself around the Digivolved being. In response Dynamon cancelled out its technique and shot out a blast to forcefully create distance between itself and its enemies.
"I'm surprised, while I wouldn't call you dangerous by any means, your strength is a lot greater than would be expected from someone who lost to our group's weakest link." the Divine Five member declared.
Alongside the lad and PuppetLiomon stood a Digimon composed of strings that wore a black armored vest along with armored elbow pads and boots, all embedded with the insignias of the Divine Five. It had glowing red eyes and no discernible mouth, the being also appeared to have no physical form aside from being a bunch of bundled up white string.
"Our weakest by all means is stronger than insignificant runts such as yourself but I suppose I may have underestimated how strong you people could have actually been, at the very least I would have had I actually used our strongest form." Dos announced while holding out his Fusion Loader.
"I insisted on handling things myself and yet I shamefully wasted valuable time. PuppetLiomon, Nylonmon, DigiFuse!" the man exclaimed as from his device emitted a bright magenta light with the bodies of his Digimon radiating a similar glow.
Nylonmon's body began to break apart into particles of energy, which in turn began to surround PuppetLiomon.
The fierce light had then dispersed as a new being stood before the duo. The new being mostly resembled PuppetLiomon though its fur how become paler compared to before while its armor had adapted a darker color scheme of a darker shade of magenta, gray and black. It had the same armored elbow pads that Nylonmon possessed while the rest of its feature were near identical to PuppetLiomon, save for parts of its body now being covered in white string, noticeably the unexposed parts of its arms and its ankles. It also continued to possess PuppetLiomon's weapon.
"They fused even further?" Dynamon uttered in astonishment. "I figured that they'd be able to fuse more than just two Digimon together but I didn't expect that they could DigiFuse with an already fused being." Usami muttered.
"That is the symbol of our prowess. Regardless of the circumstances we can fuse our Digimon to create the perfect warriors." the magenta-haired man announced.
"That snow woman could fuse two Digimon together while you can fuse three, so that means that your other teammates can fuse even more Digimon together than the two of you can, right?" Usami inquired to the boy.
"Our codenames in themselves should have given away the number of Digimon we could fuse into our partner Digimon." Dos announced in response.
"I should warn you, my capabilities have far exceeded those of PuppetLiomon along with the capabilities of my separate components." the newly DigiFused being added along. "StringPuppetLiomon, finish them." Dos commanded. "My pleasure." StringPuppetLiomon announced while jamming its hand into its back. It then pulled out what appeared to be a curved piece of wood, which had string attached to it.
"A bow?" Usami mumbled while looking on. The Enhanced Puppet Digimon then pulled out a metallic drill tipped makeshift arrow from its palm, with the tip appearing to be similar to Puppetmon's nose.
"You two are long range fighters. It would work to your advantage to create distance and fight from afar but at the same time you have no shortage of prowess in close range combat, we learned that from our previous clashes with you. With that knowledge we'll make sure to dominate you regardless of your method of attack, Piercing Hunter!" StringPuppetLiomon exclaimed while shooting the arrow at the duo. Dynamon narrowly pushed Usami out of the way as the arrow easily destroy the wall that it had been sent into.
"Even if you can dominate us, it won't do very much good to you in the long run to carelessly pull out parts of your body to attack us with." Dynamon responded.
"Nylonmon, one of my components, is a Digimon composed entirely a powerful variety of strings, due to its influence in this fusion I don't need the structural support that those of your kind do, I can move freely regardless." the Enhanced creature stated in response while walking towards the duo. "Your weaker attacks from before gradually whittled away at PuppetLiomon's strength, this time we won't allow you to so much as hurt us with any of your techniques." Dos announced to the silver-haired girl.
"Usami, what do we do? That Digimon is most likely too powerful for my current form to do any substantial damage." Dynamon informed its partner.
"If we run than we'll risk bumping into even more of their allies and we can't afford such a battle in this scenario especially without knowing Kizkin's whereabouts or if whether Yuzen will be coming to back us up any time soon or not." Usami thought to herself while pondering on at the situation at hand.
"We have no choice. It's all or nothing!" the silver-haired lass muttered while holding out her Digivice. "…Usami." Dynamon muttered in astonishment, seemingly realizing its partner's intentions.
"Grr, Tres what is going on!? Why has there been so much noise?" Cinco angrily inquired while contacting his younger brother.
"There are intruders attacking the tower. Dos already went to go take care of it while the drones are fighting against another rat on the outside." Tres nonchalantly responded. "What? Why are you being hindered by mere intruders?" Cinco inquired in response. "I haven't seen any of them but I can guess that they must be pretty persistent." the pale olive-haired individual answered.
"Tch, I am so close to achieving true perfection, if those worthless scoundrels interfere than it can set back our progress." the aegean-haired man mumbled to himself while ending the call and standing up.
"If there are intruders than to secure an absolute victory, we'll have to make it so they can't escape from here." he thought.
Elsewhere Speed Dodecamon had finished taking care of the remaining drones with ease.
"That was quick." Yuzen sarcastically stated. "Oh hah, hah." Speed Dodecamon responded in annoyance. "With your ability we should have finished a lot sooner than we did." the sunglasses wearing individual announced. "Getting careless would have expended a lot more energy than we would have actually needed." Dodecamon responded while reverting back into its base form. "Anyways, we should follow after the others, they must have gotten into battles against those operatives from before by now." Yuzen declared.
"You say that like it's no big deal." Dodecamon muttered.
"Cougalumon!" Cinco called out to a silhouette. "We can't allow anyone to escape from this place, whoever it may be, no one can be allowed to interfere with our plans." the man announced as the silhouetted being jammed its arms into two plug-like holes that was in the machine right in front of it. On the outskirts of the tower from the distance appeared the badger-like Digimon.
"I can sense it, those whelps are close by. Finally after all of this time, I will take down those accursed criminals." the creature announced while walking towards the tower.
"Go!" Cinco shouted as lights on the machine began to glow. In a moat-like trench that lied in the area around the tower a red substance then erupted into the sky.
"W-what is that?" Dodecamon asked while it, Yuzen and the badger-like Digimon looked on in astonishment. The red goo-like substance enveloped the entirety of the area around the tower before solidifying into a dome-like shape.
"I see, he really went ahead and did that, huh." Tres muttered while looking at a window while Cuatro noticed Cinco's actions as well as Una motionlessly stared up into the sky.
"What kind of Digimon could have done this?" Yuzen wondered as he looked around and saw that both he and Dodecamon along with the tower had been cut off from the outside. "Even if we do beat those guys, how are we supposed to escape from this?" Dodecamon wondered.
Elsewhere Dynamon and Usami narrowly avoided yet another of StringPuppetLiomon's attacks as Dos looked on while the duo persisted in their attempts at surviving against the overwhelming enemy.
"Dynamon, we have to go all out!" Usami called out to her partner.
"I see, this substance with its density it'd require a great deal of brute force to just create a slight opening but just from observing its movements from before its solidification, brute force alone wouldn't suffice at breaking through this." the badger-like Digimon muttered while knocking on the red wall.
"With this, no one can escape." Cinco sternly announced.
Narration: In spite of Una's defeat, the Divine Five continue in their pursuit of the greatest fused power. How will Yuzen and the others escape the clutches of these ever evolving adversaries?
"W-WereGarurumon? W-where am I?" JewelBeemon inquired to the Beast Man Digimon.
"You're in the infirmary. Don't strain yourself, I've already tasked a suitable successor with carrying out our mission." WereGarurumon announced. "What are you talking about?" the Ultimate level Digimon inquired. "He's an expert hunter, without question he has great potential. So we don't have much to worry for." WereGarurumon responded as elsewhere the badger-like Digimon placed his palm on the red dome.
"We're counting on you, Venarumon." the Beast Man Digimon internally declared as the badger-like Digimon let out a confident grin.
Major Events (12/2/9996): Kizkin and Kamanimon continue their battle against Una and Zeramon X2 and are victorious.
Kizkin successfully subdues Una and manages to allow Usami to enter the tower.
Rapidmon debuts and is revealed to have traveled to Romain City.
Rapidmon confronts Zenma and accuses him of being involved with Yuzen in the past.
Usami begins a battle against Dos, who is revealed to possess a Digimon called Nylonmon along with further revealing a higher DigiFused form of his Digimon called StringPuppetLiomon.
Yuzen and Dodecamon finish defeating the remaining drones.
Cinco is revealed to possess a Digimon called Coagulamon and uses it to create a barrier around the tower.
The badger-like Digimon is officially revealed to be called Venarumon.
