Chapter 20 ((Alone Time))
"Whats going on over here?! Mom yells
The rest of our family approaches behind her
"Well this lady followed us here!" Max glares at the woman
"Why are you yelling at her?!" Dad stands next to mom
"Because she is creeping us out, she appeared out of no where and accused us for something we didn't even do." Max pauses "Something we wouldn't do!"
"Well what is it you accused them of?" Mom puts her hands on her hips
"It's not what I accused them of its what they did." The woman hisses
"Okay i'm confused." Billy sits on a big rock
"Phoebe, you wouldn't lie to us. What is going on?" Mom looks at me
Why do I always have to be the good one? I have lied to you. And I'm about to do it again.
"Well Max was teaching me how to fish and he was about to cast the line out but he slipped on the dirt and fell on me... She thinks we.. umm.. kissed.."
"You did kiss! I saw it with my own eyes. And you didn't 'trip'." The lady glares at me
"I KNEW SOMETHING WAS UP WITH YOU TWO!" Nora shouts
"Why would they kiss each other? They are old enough to know that you don't kiss your siblings!" Mom pauses and looks at us "You are telling the truth right?"
Max and I share a look at each other, his expression changes and he looks angrier
"WHY WOULD WE KISS EACH OTHER?! Are you seriously going to believe this woman?" Max blows up with a mouth full of lies
"Well I don't care weather you believe me or not. This is getting childish. I just thought you would like to know what was happening in your family before something worse happens, because I've seen this before." The lady turns around and walks away before we can even say anything.
Mas's expression doesn't change "I will be at the camp site, not sticking around with a bunch of people who don't trust me." He glares at mom and starts walking away
My face turns red. Everyone is looking at me as if they are waiting for me to say something, but I don't. I just slowly trail behind Max.
Camp isn't to far away from the lake. Like an hour on foot maybe? Once we get far away from our family I walk faster to catch up to Max. I'm about to say something but Max says something first
"That was a bunch of crap." He is clearly still mad.
"Well it was all true." That's all I can spit out
"I know, but they weren't believing us Phoebe." He stops and turns facing me.
"What are we going to do?" My voice cracks
"I don't know.." He pauses "And i'm not sticking around to find out what happens."
I give him a look and he continues
"Lets make them worry for once. I'm not changing anything between us." He slides his hand into mine "We will go back to camp later, but I think we deserve some time to ourselves. And I know I said I wanted a family trip, but right now I just want to be with you."
I smile at him and bring him in for a hug. His warm arms wrap around my body. "Okay." I smile into his chest.
We start walking off the trail and making our own path. Max marks every 3 trees by freezing 2 leaves with his ice breath long so we don't get lost.
I can't stop thinking about what that lady said. Before something worse happens? What is that supposed to mean? Who even was she? And how has she seen this before? These questions continue to haunt me as we head deeper into the forest
(Nora's P.O.V)
I KNEW SOMETHING WAS GOING ON WITH THEM! Max may have said otherwise but from where i'm standing I can tell something is up.
"Hank we can't just let them walk to the camp! We should have stopped them! Ah we shouldn't have questioned them either because they are obviously telling the truth!" Mom sits on a rock and runs her hands through her hair
"Hey it's okay Barb.. we will pack all the fishing gear up and head back.. plus they have super powers they will be fine!" Dad puts his hands on her shoulders
"I know, but did you see the way Max looked at me?" A tear rolls down her cheek "He is really mad and I don't know how to fix this.."
They continue with their conversation as I walk over to Billy and grab his wrist walking to our fishing gear.
"I knew something was up with them."
"Who mom and dad?" Billy asks stupidly
"No.. Max and Phoebe."
"Ohhhhh yeah... right!" He scratches his head "I did to, but I wasn't expecting this. I mean we don't have full proof yet so I guess we have to spy on them more."
"Yeah I guess so. I mean I hope it's not true because that is just disgusting... Like it would be like us dating each other.."
We share a look at each other. I can tell he is picturing us together just as I am. I've never thought of Billy this way before and I know why, because he is MY BROTHER AND THAT NASTY! Although the past few years he has gotten more mature like I have myself. He is still taller than me, he has more muscle since him and Max have been working out together, his hair is longer and browner and his eyes are just sparkling all the time! A smile appears on my lips causing me to blink twice. What the heck! Get it together Nora! He is my brother! I DO NOT FEEL ANYTHING BETWEEN US THAN I SHOULD!
We share another look at each other but this time of disgust.
"Ewwww! Anyway changing the subject... I kinda want to follow them to see what their up to..."
"Billy I don't think, if they even are 'together', that they are going to be obvious anymore. Max and Phoebe are both to smart for that. Plus I don't think dad and mom are going to let all of us rome around the valley. We should try to make them spill the beans."
"Spill the beans?" He looks at me confused
"Really?! You don't know what spill the beans means?" I lean my head on my hand "Agh what would you do with out me? Spill the beans basically means to have them tell us what is happening between them."
"Oooo sounds juicy! I like the way you think" Billy smiles at me
We all pack up the ThunderVan and head back to camp. It takes us about 25 minuets to get back and there is no sign of Max or Phoebe and mom is starting to freak out.
"If they aren't back before sundown i'm going out there and looking for them!" She paces back and forth in front of their tent
"Honey your making me nervous..." Dad stuffs a piece of bread in his mouth
"Your eating at a time like this?"
"I always eat when i'm stressed! You should know that by now we have been married for... ahhh... umm... a while!"
"I'm sorry, your right. It's just I don't like the sound of them out there all alone! Who knows what could be happening to them!"
(Max's P.O.V)
Her tongue slides into my mouth as I lay her down on some leaves under these trees. My hand slips under her shirt, her skin feels soft and warm against mine. My knees are on both sides of her waist and her hands play with my tangled hair from everything we have done today. My other hand is on her cheek, I rub small circles on her face with my thumb.
"Mmph.. Max." Phoebe pulls away "There is a leaf in my shirt.."
She pulls it out and sits up which causes me to sit up with her. Phoebe slowly kisses me and climbs on top of my lap as she wraps her arms around my neck
I pull away which causes a smack from our lips "You know what would make you a reaaaaally good girlfriend?" I smirk "Like a really really realllly good girlfriend.."
She tilts her head curiously "What?"
"If you were to give me a lap dance right now..." I smile at her biting my lip
I may seem like a cocky guy but when it comes to this kind of stuff i'm a little ehh... whats a better word than awkward? Rusty! I'm a little rusty..
"Right now?" She rubs her neck "What if someone where to walk by...?"
"We are in the middle of a valley.. no one is going to walk by! I mean it's okay if you don't want to.. you are to innocent to anyway."
"I know what your doing!" She glares at me
"Please tell me what i'm doing.."
"You are trying to manipulate me. And FYI I have given a Cole a lap dance before! I'm not as innocent as you think."
"Oh so you can give Cole a lap dance but not me?" I curl my bottom lip down giving her the puppy dog face
"It's not that I don't want to. Trust me... I have been wanting to do a lot of stuff.. It's just I'd rather do that somewhere else... like at home. I will give you a lap dance when we get back" Phoebe laughs
Which causes me to laugh to, I lean in closer to her ear and whisper "I don't know if I can wait that long.." My lips brush against her ear, my hands find her sides I pull her closer to me and I start kissing her neck. Her legs wrap around me and her hands find my shoulders.
(Phoebe's P.O.V)
This feels so good right now. I want to do so many things right now but I cant. I can't make the same mistake I did with Cole. I just want to stay here forever just me and Max no one would ever question us or think we are different. But sadly life can't be that good. I know Nora is going to be keeping a closer eye on us so Max and I are going to have to hardly even look at each other when she is around.
My hands slide down his muscular arms. Really muscular arms... I slide my hands up his sleeves feeling his arms, ah I just want to melt! He is still kissing my neck, I grab his chin and pull his face to mine. I can't have a hickey right now! My eye lids cracks open and the sun is setting. The sun is setting already? Every good thing has to come to an end eventually so I pull away from Max.
"We should start heading back before it gets dark.." My hand finds his cheek. I smile at him
His hand goes on mine and he smiles back at me "Agh alright..." He grabs my hand off of his face and gives it a kiss
(Billy's P.O.V)
"Hank the sun is setting, lets go. They are probably lost!" Mom laces her shoes and gets up
"Are we going with you or staying here?" Nora asks
"Oh right... we have four kids..." Dad scratches his head
I give him a look "Yeah thanks. We will just stay here. Don't worry about us, you forgot we were here anyway.."
"I'm sorry kids, its just so much is going on right now! We had NO plans for this to happen! We don't even know where Max and Phoebe are right now!.." Dad starts but Nora cuts him off
"There right there." She points to Max and Phoebe coming out of some trees in the distance
"MY BABIES!" Mom runs up to them with dad behind her. She hugs Max and says something but she is to far away, I can't make out what she is saying.
I knew they would come back so I wasn't worrying a bit! I've been kinda distracted all day anyway.. ever since Nora mentioned us dating.. When we where little I used to think that we where going to get married because I just assumed we would! I had no idea back then that it mattered that we were related!
We tell each other everything so I know just about everything about her. She has changed a whole lot since we where younger. She was already headstrong back then but something happened at school last year.. It changed her.. She lost some confidence but I can tell she is still strong. She is just growing up like I am. Middle school sucks big time but at least we are going through it together!
(Max's P.O.V)
"I am so sorry I didn't believe you.. You are my kids and I should be able to trust you! But don't you ever go off like that by yourself's again! I thought you weren't going to come back.." She cries on my shoulder. I hug her back
"Of course we would come back.. we just got distracted.." Well I didn't lie
Dad hugs both of us, he doesn't say anything though. It looks like he is trying not to cry being Thunderman and all I guess. We all walk to Billy and Nora, they don't run up to us or hug us. I wasn't expecting them to.
"What took you guys so long?" Nora asks us
"We thought we would walk around and clear our heads." Phoebe answers
Dad clears his throat "Well kids I think we have had enough of family vacation.. who wants to go home?"
"I do..." I try not to smile remembering what Phoebe promised me earlier
"Agreed..." Everyone else starts to pack even though we were supposed to leave tomorrow.
Phoebe and I use our levitation powers to pack up or stuff, we finished before everyone else so we sat in the van and waited. I'm not in the mood to help right now. I look out the window to make sure the family is busy packing up, and they are. I lean over and kiss Phoebe's cheek and sit and wait till we head back home.

SO SORRY IT TOOK FOREVER TO WRIGHT THIS! Junior year is just SO busy and stressful it has kept me busy for the past few weeks :/ Anyway I hope this chapter isn't to crappy.
