LATE UPDATE I had no idea how to write this chapter. I wanted to make it good. Hopefully it is.

Well, I think it is. I mean, the end of this chapter and all. OOOH I'm so excited for the next chapter yaaay

You know guys, I was looking at the summaries for each chapter that I write before hand, and the previous chapter was actually chapter 19 and chapter 20 mushed together. FML

Well, I'm pretty sure you guys are damn happy about that. But because of that, I had to tweak how I was supposed to end it so I could have four more chapters for you guys, rather than 3. I hope you guys enjoy though. I think my edit is better :D Oh, but two of them are extra chapters.

Btw I'm almost at 600 reviewers SQUEAL KYAAA lol

AND I reached 1000 followers on Instagram again since I got hacked fml so thanks to the ones who followed me (:

And I will continue to update my profile weekly for all the ones who love me (heart goes here as well as kissy faces)

Chapter 20! We're so close to the end.

Disclaimer: I do not own Dawn's huge, puffy, pink dress she wears during contests that doesn't really go well with her hair.

Drew's arms were wrapped snug around her and he tucked her head under his chin. "Thank God," Drew said, his breath rough.

May just stood there. She could feel her heart beating rapidly and her hands shaking. She felt so comfortable in her arms, but she didn't what to believe at the moment.

He noticed that she wasn't hugging him back, so he slowly pulled away from her. She was no longer in his embrace, and she looked up at him, a little worried. Drew on hand on her shoulder. "May," he said, loud enough so she could barely hear him. "I'm really sorry for forgetting you." He took a deep breath. "When you left, it was then I remembered. I felt like a mess... I'm really sorry, May. Because I forgot everything, you had to suffer so much."

The rain was still pouring down hard on the two. May still heard him and she felt more tears stream down. Her tears blended in with the rain. She hoped that he didn't notice. "It's not your fault," she said. "It really isn't."

"But I still messed up your life," he said. "At least that's what you said."

May bit her lip and she shook her head. "As long as you remember..."

Drew's other hand slowly went up to caress her cheek. He then pulled her back into his arms, squeezing her tightly, as if she would disappear if he didn't hold on to her tight enough.

"I'm back," he said.

Those two words made her heart warm up. She cried quietly and then hugged him back. May rested her head on his chest.

"Welcome back."

Leaf sat in the passenger's seat and rested her cheek against her hand. She stared out the window and sighed loudly.

There was a red light so Gary stopped the car. He looked at her. "What's wrong?" he said.

"No, I'm thinking about May," Leaf said. She threw her head back. "I'm so glad that bitch Alexis learned her lesson, but I hope Drew can patch things up with May." She continued to worry and she sighed even louder this time. "And Drew doesn't even know where May is. What if he still hasn't found her? May must be so sad..."

Gary raised an eyebrow. "But didn't you tell her that the wedding never happened?"

The brunette rolled her eyes. "She wouldn't believe us."

"Still," Gary said. The stoplight turned green and they continued driving. "And knowing Drew, he probably found her already. Don't worry."

"Oh, I'll keep worrying," Leaf muttered. Gary laughed and he turned the car to the park. Leaf blinked. "Gary? Wrong way. Where are we going?"

He turned to the parking lot and parked the car. Since it was already late, there were no other cars around them. He turned off the engine. "Hey Leafy," Gary said. "What would you do if we were in Drew and May's situation?"

Leaf frowned and looked at him. "You mean if we were dating, you got surgery and forgot me, some chick walks in and steals you away, then I find out I'm pregnant and then I leave?" She said it all so quickly it startled Gary, but he nodded. "Well, first, I wouldn't let the girl take you. I mean, you're mine, why should I give in to her?"

Gary smirked. "Okay. That's what I thought."

Leaf nodded firmly. "But if she still tries to take you and feeds you all these lies—don't worry Gary—I'll beat her up and show her who's boss." She sat up and curled her hand into a fist. "And then even if you don't want to date me since you only want to date hot, beautiful ladies, I'll just have to show you—" Leaf stopped when Gary burst out laughing. "What's so funny?"

He continued to laugh and he shook his head. "Nothing really," he said.

She glared. "Well, what I'm serious. I was actually going to beat up Alexis when she took Drew away from May." Gary nodded, that amused expression still painted on his face. "You're so annoying. What would you do if I forgot about you?"

Gary shrugged. "What would it matter?" he said. "Since I'm one of the most attractive men on Earth, you'd fall for me in no time." Leaf yawned when he said that. "You're so..."

Leaf smirked. "What?" she said. "You think I'd fall for you that easily?" Gary didn't say anything and Leaf just laughed. "Why'd you ask anyways?"

That question made Gary serious. "After seeing them, Leaf, I've decided something."

"And what's that?" she asked. He reached over and took her hand in his. She felt her heart speed up from his touch. How did he still have that effect on her?

Gary entwined their fingers and he cleared his throat. "I don't want to make you suffer like that alone," he said. "And with me, I know you won't. Leaf, wi—"

"WOAAAH," Leaf exclaimed. Gary jumped back, startled. His face was now beet red, but her complexion looked rather worried. "Gary? What's wrong? Do you have an illness too?" She grabbed his hand again and she looked like she was about to cry. "Why are you saying this!?"

Gary stared at her and he groaned, throwing his head back on the chair. "Fuck," he said.

"What?" she said. "Is it that bad?"

"I suck," he muttered.

She frowned. "Why?"

"I was trying to propose to you."

There was an awkward silence. Gary didn't know what to do or say after saying that. Leaf didn't know what to do because she completely misunderstood what he was trying to tell her.

They both burst out laughing and Leaf hit him playfully. "You really do suck," she said. "You totally scared me..." A few tears started to spill out of her eyes.

His eyes widened and he sat back up. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"I have no idea what I'm crying for," she mumbled. "I don't know if I'm crying because I thought you were going to tell me you were sick or if I'm crying because you proposed to me..."

"I didn't really propose," he said. "I screwed up."

"Still," she said. "It counts." Gary looked at her and she grinned. "Well, I guess you didn't really propose. Might as well try again, huh?"

"Gathering all that courage isn't really that easy," Gary said in frustration.

"You're so cute," Leaf said, giggling. He glared at her. "C'mon. It's not that hard. You'll know what I'll say anyways, so say it again."

His eyes brightened and she gave him a reassuring smile. Gary reached over and took both her hands in his. He cleared his throat and look at her face again. Her smile was still there and he broke out in a smile. "Leaf," he said. "I don't want to live my life without you." Her heart sped up at the same rate as his and he squeezed her hands. "Will you marry me?"

She nodded and threw her arms around his neck. "Yes!" she exclaimed. "You idiot. You knew I'd say yes."

Gary grinned and wrapped his arms around her waist. "You're the best."

"You're supposed to say 'I love you'," Leaf said.

Gary laughed. "I love you."

She smiled and tried to keep the happy tears from falling. "I love you too."

May and Drew were now walking hand in hand back to her house. He squeezed her hand so she would look at him. "It feels like it hasn't been that long since we held hands," Drew said.

His words confused her. "What do you mean?" May asked.

He shrugged. "Since it was only recently I remembered everything, it's all kind of fresh in my head."

May laughed. "That's not the same from me though," she said. "It's been five years."

"Did you miss me?" he asked.

She felt her face heat up. "Why bother asking?" she asked. He raised an eyebrow. "Of course I did." He smirked to himself and she gasped. "That's right!"

"What?" he said.

"You said it's all fresh in your head, right?" May asked. Drew nodded. "Do the thing! You haven't done it."

Drew frowned. "Do what?"

May grinned and she flicked her fringe. "Like that."

Drew could feel his face heat up. "I can't believe I did that..."

"I know!" she said. "It was so annoying. At that time I really want to grab your head and," she put her free hand in a position as if she was holding a knife, "cut your fringe off. Actually, I just wanted you to be bald. You'd always brag about your green hair, like it was the best thing ever. So yeah, I wish you were bald."

He laughed. "Yeah, right. You'd miss it."

She shrugged. "Probably not."

Before Drew could say anything back, May's phone began to ring. She immediately let go of his hand to pick up her phone. "Hello?" May said. "Oh hey, Marina!" Drew felt somewhat annoyed when she let his hand go. He dangled his arm around her shoulders and she looked up at him and mouthed 'what are you doing?' He didn't say anything back. "Oh, okay... yeah, I'll go pick Taylor up now. Thanks for loo—Drew?"

Drew swept her phone out of May's hand. "Hello, Marina. I'm May's sweetheart, and I haven't seen her in five years."

There was a silence on the other end. Drew frowned. "Sweetheart?" Marina said. "Drew Hayden?"

"Yeah."

Marina snorted. "Hah. You broke May's heart and you're calling yourself her sweetheart? I don't think so."

Drew sucked in his breath and he clenched his hands into a fist. May noticed and she let out a silent laugh. "For you information," Drew said like a fourth grader giving out an immature speech, "May and I already made up, so—"

"I know," Marina said, cutting him off. "I saw on TV. You didn't even KISS her, you chicken." May couldn't hear what Marina was saying so she couldn't tell why Drew had an embarrassed expression on his face. "But you know, since I'm a pretty nice person, I am willing to volunteer tonight to take care of Taylor. Besides, he already fell asleep so it's a shame to wake him up. And also, it's raining, so it wouldn't be too good to let the sleeping boy in the rain, huh?"

Drew was grinning inside. "Okay, no going back on your words. Thanks." Drew hung up and handed her phone back to May and grabbed her hand. "Let's go back to your home."

May frowned. "What?" she said. "I have to get Taylor."

"Well, Marina says she's willing to take care of him tonight," he said. "That way, you and I can..."

May stared at him and her jaw dropped. Her face was now flushed and he smirked. "C'mon, May. Let's go home."

She just nodded and followed his lead.

I have to admit. I'm a little nervous.

May couldn't help but feel nervous since she knew Drew and herself were now alone under the same roof. Her hands clutched the end of her shirt. She was still standing by the door while Drew had already slipped off his shoes and looked around the house.

"So where's you room?" Drew said after closing a closet door.

"Umm," May said. He wants to see my room? It's gonna start already? She was already panicking inside. She gave him a quick smile. "I'll show you later, okay? I'll make us something to eat and—"

Drew sighed and shook his head. "What are you talking about?" he said. He walked over to her and reached over to grab her shoulder. She felt electricity from his touch. She looked away and he tried to get her to look at him. "May, you're soaking wet. Go change your clothes."

"Oh," she said. "Right." She quickly scrambled away from him and walked up the stairs to her room. Drew watched her leave and he nodded and took note where her room was.

Since his wet shirt was starting to feel a little uncomfortable, he took it off and set it on a nearby table, not knowing where to put it. He looked through her fridge and cupboard, wondering what to cook up for themselves. Drew couldn't cook that much so he decided just to use the canned spaghetti sauce and make some spaghetti.

May walked down the stairs in her white tank top and shorts which both hugged her body and showed her perfect curves. She smelled the spaghetti noodles cooking up and she grinned and skipped to the kitchen. "Hey, Drew are you mak—" Her eyes widened. "Drew!?"

He turned around from the stove. He was a little taken aback from her appearance. "Yes, May?" Drew said, swallowing hard.

"Um, why aren't you wearing a shirt?" she said.

Drew narrowed his eyes at her. "Do you want me to catch a cold?"

She nodded slowly. "Oh, right," she said. "Sorry I have no clothes for you."

"If you had guy clothes with you, I wouldn't be so happy about that," Drew said, implying that he wouldn't want her having other guy's clothes with her. She just laughed and sat down at the dining table, watching him cook.

She watched Drew open the can of spaghetti sauce. "Drew, you're not going to make the spaghetti sauce?" she said.

He started dumping the sauce into the pan of noodles. "Give me a break. I can't cook that well."

She sighed. "We could have made it together..." she said.

Drew laughed. "We have many days ahead of us for that," he said.

May felt her heart flutter when he said that. She watched him look for some plates and split an even amount for the both of them. He brought the two plates over to the dining table and he handed one over to her. "Uh, I'm not so sure where the silverware is," he said.

The brunette stood up. "I think I remember where the mover people put them," she said.

Drew frowned. "You think?"

"I didn't have time to put everything back so I paid people to do it for me," she said, opening a drawer in the kitchen. "Found them!" She grabbed two forks and walked back to the dining table. "Thank you for the food!"

He smirked. "I hope you'll enjoy it."

She started twirling the spaghetti with her fork. "Of course I will," she said. "It's my favorite sauce. It's not like you actually made it."

"That hurts..." Drew said.

May just smiled to herself and started munching down her food. Before she knew it, her food was all gone in a few minutes, so she reached over to eat some of Drew's.

"You still eat so much," Drew said. May grinned as she continued to try to snatch his food. He took his plate away and shook his head. "This is mine."

"Aww, Drew, be nice," she said. "Just a little."

He shook his head and he started munching down his spaghetti quickly.

"Drew!" she said. "I only wanted a little!"

Drew gave in and handed her the rest of his food. She grinned happily and ate the rest. "Okay," she said. "Now I'm full."

"How are you so thin..." he mumbled.

May just grinned. "Genetics," she said. He just shook his head. "By the way, Drew, do you want to go shower? I can toss your pants in the drying machine if you want."

"I'm fine," he said. "Why don't you shower first?"

"I'm fine..." she said. "You go first. Okay?"

"Ladies first," Drew said. "I just wanna look in your room. That's all I want. Okay?"

May frowned. "Why do you want to go in my room?"

"Why not?" he said. He stood up and headed for the stairs. "Besides, I already know where it is, so you can't really stop me." Drew walked up the stairs and May quickly followed. "You go shower, okay?"

May sighed. "Fine..." She walked past him and ran up to her room first and she quickly picked up the clothes she had tossed on the ground earlier and brought them with her to the bathroom connected to her room.

He walked in right when she had shut the bathroom door. "Why the rush?" he said.

"It's a girl thing," May said.

Drew just shrugged it off and looked around her room. It was pretty much empty. There were three boxes against the wall of the room, probably with all her stuff inside. There was only a shelf, a desk, and a bed along with the blankets and pillows inside. He sat on her bed and put his hands in his pocket.

He tried to act natural the whole time he was here. He was a little nervous about being with May again, but when May acted natural along with him, he felt relieved. Now that May's in the bathroom, he can prepare himself again so he won't lose his cool and he can control himself.

Right when he thought that, May screamed loudly from the bathroom.

"What?" Drew yelled, standing up and running towards the door, but May already ran out and ran right into him, making them both fall in the floor. She was on top of him. Drew wanted to get her off but May didn't seem to care about embarrassment right now. Luckily, she was still in her clothes.

"There's a spider," May said. "There's a huge, black, ugly spider on the toilet."

"That's all?" Drew said. "You gave me a heart attack." He looked over above May and tried to spot the spider on the toilet, but there was nothing there. "I don't see it. It probably fell in the toilet."

"It's gone?" May said.

Drew nodded. "I don't see anything," he said. "You probably just imagined it."

May let out a huge sigh of relief. "Oh, thank God," she said. "I thought I was going to die."

"Why would you die?" he said. "I'm here."

May blushed. She smiled at him and he smiled back. Then she realized that she had pushed him on the ground earlier. "Oh, sorry for knocking you over..." she said, trailing off. She started to stand up but Drew grabbed her arm, making her stay.

She didn't try to push his grasp away. She sat there still and stared at him.

His emerald eyes were the shining shade that she loved. He was staring back in her eyes, the sapphire orbs he missed so much. He reached over and to touch her cheek, but she reacted slightly to his touch.

"Scared?" he said quietly.

May bit her a lip. "A little," she said in the same tone back.

He gave her a comforting look and caressed her cheek. He leaned in so their foreheads could touch. "I've missed you," Drew said.

May's hand went up to hold his hand that held her face. "And so did I," she said.

They didn't say anything after that. By then he was leaning in and slowly, so slowly, letting his lips touch hers. They kissed slowly, their eyes closed, and Drew tilted his head to kiss her a little more deeply. May let her arms rest against his bare shoulders.

They slowly pulled apart from each other and they started at each other for a second until Drew leaned in a kissed her deeply and passionately as if he needed her desperately. Their heads turned, their tongues touched. His hands went from her cheeks to her neck and waist, trying to get more of her.

May's arms that were dangling from his shoulders had moved away and her hands were now on his bare chest. Their lips unlocked and their breathing was now a little heavier, but Drew didn't stop there. He planted little butterfly kisses from her neck to her collarbone. His hands moved up and down her arms and he kissed her shoulder, sucking it gently to create a mark.

He pulled away and looked at her again. He sighed and hugged her. "May," he said. "I don't know if I can control myself."

Her heart raced when he said that. She wrapped her arms around him. "It's okay," she said. "I missed your touch."

Once she said that, Drew swept her off and carried her in her arms. May yelped a little and she grinned at him. He just smirked and they kissed again. Drew quickly broke their kiss to drop her on the bed and turn off the lights.

He put his arms against the bed to keep his balance above her and claimed her lips again, heads turning, and hearts racing.

I love you.

LOL I had to keep this rated T you know. Unhappy? AHAHA

Sorry for the late update, but I really hope you enjoyed ^^

As much as I wanted to add more drama, I just couldn't take it! I wanted the two to be in bed together so bad (just kidding I'm not THAT dirty).

Don't forget about Gary's proposal to Leaf! How did you guys like that?

Anyways, drop a review. I'm not really used to writing hot and heavy scenes, so I hope that more mature readers can give me some advice. I want to get better at writing this sort of stuff to satisfy my perverted readers (I'm so sorry I'm just kidding you guys aren't THAT dirty).

Okay, well, good night! I'll update as soon as I can! The next chapter is pretty much the last chapter since that's when I wrap it all up kind of, and the chapter after will be some other stuff you guys will like, and then I'll have the wedding and ten years in the future. Excited? Please be!

edit: My askfm is on my profile! I just made it. No flames please

We shall talk very soon,
