Sorry I took so long to get back to this after everything else.
Time for the long awaited chapter, the body swap. I tried to make this a long chapter, and humorous. To everyone who gave ideas and opinions, thank you. I don't remember much of the last nineteen chapters, so if anything I put in here is mixed up from the past chapters, let me know.
There are going to be at least two, maybe more, chapters of the body swap arc.
I have a quick question for all of you. Should I make Beck the bad guy like I usually do, or not?
I forgot if Jade and Beck have broken up yet, but in case I didn't, I will be soon. If I already did the break up, let me know.
I added in a slight change of wardrobe for Shelby to wear as Tori, to hide her muscles that were pointed out that she'll have because of her MMA training, that Tori wouldn't have since she doesn't train.
Thank you for the follows, faves, reviews, and understanding for the break.
Disclaimer: I don't own 'VicTORious', 'iCarly', or any characters. Just the plot.
No POV
"Why do I have to wear this shirt? Why can't I wear this one?" Shelby asks her twin as they get dressed in the morning, Tori in Shelby's spaghetti cut off shirt, showing her stomach, and Shelby putting on one of Tori's long sleeve shirts.
"Because you have toned muscles." Tori says, showing her twin her arm, comparing them.
"So?" Shelby asks, not liking the long sleeve shirt, both for the sleeves and for it covering her stomach, something she's not used to.
"Your arms are more toned than mine, more muscly." Tori says, putting on a pair of her yoga pants, something both girls tend to wear on lazy days. "And Jade and Cat will notice and know something's up." She says, putting a change of clothes in Shelby's bag, along with a towel, body wash, shampoo and conditioner to shower after the workout.
"Okay. I guess." Shelby says, pulling up a pair of Tori's jeans. "Do you have a reason for why I won't be able to sing when you would?" She asks, putting on a pair of Tori's boots, taking the curlers out of hair, letting the curls drop to match Tori's usual hair style.
"Yeah. I got Trina involved into it so she knows to play along." Tori explains, putting on Shelby's tennis shoes, glad they both wear the same size in almost everything they wear. "She's gonna send a text to everyone, making it seem like it was for Sikowitz, Lane, Principle Helen, and pretty much the faculty, and everyone else getting it as an accident, that she got me to try some chinese herb gargle, like the one she used that essentially got me into Hollywood Arts, but there was a small amount of Bush Daisy, enough to irritate my throat and make me unable to talk too much or sing." She explains, putting her still curly hair in a ponytail, a usual for Shelby when she's at the gym.
"Wow, that's kind of elaborate." Shelby says, now dressed fully like Tori. "How can you wear long sleeves, shirts that go past your navel, and such tight jeans?" She asks, trying to stretch the jeans.
"Trina and I were working on it for a few days, trying to get whatever kinks worked out as we could." Tori says, now dressed as Shelby. "And I just can. No complaining either. Tori Vega doesn't complain." She says with a small smile as she takes her glasses off.
"What about if anyone gives you a problem? How do you take care of it?" Shelby asks, stretching.
"That's what my friends are for." Tori says, putting Shelby's bag over her shoulders. "Tori Vega doesn't fight, but Andre, Beck, Trina, even Jade on occasion, intervene when need me." She says, handing Shelby her school bag and leading her twin downstairs.
"You picked that shirt?" Trina asks Shelby when the twins get downstairs to grab breakfast before going to school/the gym. "It's hideous." She says, eating the eggs, sausage, and toast their mother surprisingly made for all of them that morning.
"You do know we got it from your dresser, right?" Tori asks, setting the gym bag on the couch as she makes her way to grab her breakfast.
"WHAT!?" Trina asks, glaring at her sisters.
"What? You steal ours all the time." Shelby says, sitting across from Tori as they both start eating.
"If anything happens to it, I'll make you pay for it." Trina says, taking her frustration out on her breakfast.
"And how would you do that?" The twins say, freaking out Trina by speaking at the same time, moving their arms, bodies, and heads the same, and even taking bites of the same food at the same time.
"I hate when you two do that whole, twin, mirroring each other thing." Trina says with a pout.
"You're just jealous there aren't two of you." The twins say again, taking mirroring sips of their orange juice.
"Well, it would be so much better if there were two of me instead of you. I mean, I am the more beautiful of us, more talented, everything." Trina says with a scoff, tossing her hair over her shoulder.
"When was the last time you had a boyfriend?" Shelby asks, staring at Trina.
"Or a role in a play at school?" Tori asks, mirroring her twin.
"Or perform a song?" They both asks, smirking.
"Just hurry up and get ready for school." Trina says, glaring at her younger sisters. "And remember, 'Tori'." She says, using air quotes. "Not allowed to talk because of your allergies." She says smugly, grabbing her bag and keys as she heads out.
"Good luck." Tori says, standing up and following Trina.
"Shut up." Shelby says, finishing her orange juice and jogging to catch up to her sisters.
"I thought you were going to the gym?" Trina asks when Tori goes to climb into the backseat of her car.
"With what car? Or license?" Tori asks as Shelby takes the passenger seat.
"Well, have fun training." Trina says with a smirk as she starts her car.
"Don't worry." Shelby tells Tori when she sees the irritated look from her twin. "I told Juan and Rod about the body swap. They know to treat you like an amateur." She says with a slight giggle.
"You make it sound like I can't fight or take a hit or anything." Tori says, glaring at her twin, as Trina drives to the gym.
"Uh, Tori?" Trina starts, locking eyes with her sister through the rear view pan.
"You can't." Shelby finishes, doing her twin thing with Trina, instead of Tori.
"Shut up, or I let some photogs take some pics of 'Shelby' failing her training." Tori taunts, knowing how protective Shelby is of her identity.
"Do it and Tori Vega tells Jade West she loves her." Shelby counters, jerking forward when Trina slams on the brakes.
"WHAT!?" Trina yells, turning to glare at Tori. "YOU LIKE JADE?!" She yells, stunned.
"SHELBY ALEXIS VEGA MARX!" Tori yells, sending a fierce glare at Shelby, using her full name, adding their mother's maiden name for full effect.
"We'll talk later." Trina tells Tori through the mirror, heading back towards the gym to drop Tori off.
"She's gonna make me regret saying that, isn't she?" Shelby asks once Trina drops Tori off in the back entrance of the gym so no one sees, watching the road as Trina drives.
"Oh, yeah." Trina says, stretching out the words. "You are screwed." She adds as she drives.
A few minutes later, Trina's parking her car at the Hollywood Arts parking lot, both girls climbing out and heading into school.
"Hey, Beck." Trina says, starting to flirt with Beck once she sees the tall Canadian at the doorway, talking to Andre.
"Hey Trina. Tori." Beck says as Andre walks up and hugs Shelby. Thankfully, Tori and Shelby went over how Shelby should react to each of her friends an a lot of the people in Hollywood Arts. "Sorry about your voice. What happened exactly?" He asks, trying to prevent Trina from hugging her.
"I made another Chinese herb gargle, this one saying I needed some crushed Bush Daisy petals mixed with it." Trina says, since Shelby can't talk for fear of people noticing that Shelby and Tori sound different. "Tori here accidentaly took a sip of it, thinking it was just a glass of water, and the Bush Daisy petal had enough of the whatever makes Tori allergic to them in it to make her allergies act up." She says, pouting when Beck holds her at arms length.
"Hope you feel better, Tor." Andre says, patting his 'best friend's' back. "That's not like you though, drinking something on the table without pouring it yourself." He says, staring at her.
"It was hers. When she went to use the bathroom, I made the gargle real quick. I didn't get a chance to tell her because I was making myself something for dinner when she came back." Trina says, having an answer ready, thanks to going over it with Tori.
"Well, that makes sen..."
"BECKETT!" A fierce voice yells, cutting off Andre. "Where the hell were you last night?" Jade asks, glaring at her boyfriend, as she walks up to them.
"I had to help my uncle take care of some stuff at his house. I sent you a text letting you know." Beck says, sighing and rolling his eyes.
"No, you did not." Jade says, glaring at Beck, ignoring the rest of her friends. "I did not get a single text over the last few days from you." She says, crossing her arms.
"Uh, to be fair, he did send that text." Andre says, shyly raising his hand like he's in class. "He just accidentally sent it to me." He explains, looking away and dropping his hand when Jade glared at him. "I'm gonna go to class." He says quickly, heading towards Sikowitz's class.
"What? Nothing to say Vega?" Jade asks, glaring at 'Tori', somewhat surprised that Tori hasn't said anything yet.
"Didn't you get Trina's mass text?" Beck asks, sighing with irritation at Jade. "Tori accidentaly used some of Trina's new herb gargle and it had some Bush Daisy petals or something in it." He says, looking at Jade.
"No. I ignore anything from a number I don't have saved on my phone, and I don't care for Trina." Jade tells her boyfriend. "You know that." She says with a glare.
"Well, now you know." Beck says, pushing off of the door frame. "Come on, let's head to class." He says, grabbing Jade's arm and guiding her away.
"Don't drag me around." Jade says, jerking her arm out of Beck's grip. "I hate when people try to control me." She says, crossing her arms again.
"Uh, is something wrong?" Shelby whispers to Trina, staring at the arguing couple.
"No idea." Trina says, staring at the couple as well.
"I'm tired of you always causing arguments." Beck says with an exhausted sigh.
"So you want to break up?" Jade asks, glaring at Beck. "GO!" She yells when some wondering girls start to stare at Beck at the thought of them breaking up.
"Jade! Calm down." Beck says, placing his hands on Jade's shoulders, as the girls run off.
"DON'T TOUCH ME!" Jade yells, throwing Beck's hands off her shoulders. "Do. You. Want. To Break. Up?" She asks slowly, staring at her boyfriend.
"No, I don't want to break up." Beck says with another sigh. "I'm just tired of every little thing becoming an argument." He says, trying to head to class.
"Uh, are you guys breaking up?" Trina asks, hope in her eyes at the possibility of a break up.
"Shut it, Trina." Jade says, glaring at the elder Vega sister. "Did you get hit or something?" She asks 'Tori', noticing a slight bruise on the girl's cheek, hidden by the girl's tanned skin.
"I was practicing my karate and she got grazed by my kick." Trina says quickly, covering for Shelby.
"Beck, go to class. I need to talk to the Vegas." Jade says, turning to stare at the Vega sisters.
"Jade..." Beck says, grabbing Jade's shoulder to turn him around.
"Now." Jade say, glaring at Beck like she's never done before. "Talk." She tells the two Vega sisters as Beck walks away with a defeated sigh.
"Uh, what?" Trina asks, worried.
"Where's Tori?" Jade asks, nodding at Shelby.
"Uh, right here." Trina asks, keeping the story going they came up with.
"No, that's Shelby." Jade says, strutting towards the sisters. "Tori's hair is a bit shorter, her curls are more loose, not looking like they've been done recently, her hair is a darker shade, and she's a bit shorter." She says, stopping in front of Tori.
"How do you know so much about the differences between us?" Shelby asks, glad that no one's in the hall anymore.
"So I know not to get you two confused." Jade says, her eyes shifting away slightly. "So, where is she?" She asks, staring at Shelby.
"At Punchy's. We body swapped for the day." Shelby admits, sighing. "We spent the last few days going over how to get me to act like her, and since she can sing and I can't, she and Trina came up with the lie about why 'Tori' can't talk." She explains, walking to Tori's locker to get her books, thankful there's still a few minutes before class.
"Punchy's? Why there?" Jade asks, following Shelby, Trina already breaking away to her locker.
"It's the gym I train at while I'm in L.A." Shelby explains, grabbing the books. "My manager and trainer are there to keep an eye on her, make sure no one sees her and thinks it's me." She says, closing the locker.
"Why couldn't she stay at home then?" Jade asks, walking with Shelby to Sikowitz's.
"Because I have to train for a bout, and if 'I'm' not seen training, I don't know what'll happen." Shelby explains. "Since you know, I need you to play along with everything." She says as they near the class.
"What's in it for me?" Jade asks as they get to the closed door.
"I won't tell Tori you like her." Shelby says, opening the door with a small smirk.
That's it for this chapter. Next chapter will be the continuation of this. It'll be a while before I add the next chapter. I just wanted to get this out before I forgot about it.
How was the ending bit by Shelby?
Thank you for reading, and please review.
Blessed Be.
