Alenia's POV
"Lloyd, watch me!" I called. He glanced over at me, and I did a cartwheel. He smiled. I bowed. "I call it, The Cartwheel of Destiny." I said. He raised an eyebrow. "Why?" "Because. If I do it again, I may fall down. I dunno." I shrugged, then did another. Lloyd burst out laughing when I slipped and fell on my butt. "Stop it." I pouted. "Cartwheel of Destiny, huh?" he snickered. "Destined to fall down." I was about to protest when Lloyd stared over my shoulder. "What?" I turned. He was suddenly in front of me, shooting yellow light at the tree. Something fell out of it with a thump. Lloyd walked over to it suspiciously.
"What was it?" I asked quietly. "A Grim." He said, nudging it with the tip of his shoe. He stiffened. "Did you hear that?"
"Hear what?" we listened for a moment. I suddenly squealed as something brushed my boot. Sand was suddenly in my eyes. I struggled to sit up, but whatever pushed me down in the first place kept me there. Grunts could be heard, before I heard nothing but a heavy silence. The weight was suddenly off of me, and I was yanked up roughly. The Grims had overpowered Lloyd, who was now unconscious. They spoke in a clicky-like language, before I was knocked out. 'Lloyd...'
Beth's POV
I stared down at my tail, then flicked it. 'I love this.' I smiled. "Lady Bethany! The king needs you, hurry!" a mermaid squealed. "What's up?" I asked. "Something dreadfully wrong is going on!" Did I mention some like to rhyme? It's horribly annoying. I swam as fast as I could beat my tail, practically flying underwater for the main room. When I opened the door, it was absolute chaos. Grims were everywhere, ransacking things, holding innocent merpeople captive. "No..." I breathed, then burst into the room, yanking out my sticks. "STOP!" I shot water at the Grims holding the people captive. I had barely done anything when I was overpowered. 'Great. What is everyone going to say now?'
Emily's POV
Simona stood up. "We should warn Perri. And check on the others." I stood up after her, BooBoo following me. I had barely taken a step before I collapsed. "Emily! What's wrong?" She bent next to me. "My head hurts." I groaned, holding my head which pounded like a million horses were jumping around. She looked panicked. "This is not good. Not good at all." She muttered. I groaned as the pain intensified. Perri suddenly appeared, Zane behind her. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Really bad headache." I could barely talk. Her crystal-blue eyes widened as I started floating. "I do not think this is normal." Zane took a step back. I screamed as something tore from my mind.
Then everything faded.
Unknown's POV
Free. Finally free. Free from my twin that held me captive for 17 years. Free to walk the Earth and do what normal people do. Whatever that is. I jumped out of Emily's mind and body, landing in front of an Elf, a Haltija, and a guy, knowing full well their names and well, everything Emily knows about them. "Yo." I greeted. They all stared. "Is this..?" Perri asked. "Yes. Poor Emily." Simona shook her head.
I glared as Zane looked confused. "What? I do not understand." He blinked. "I'm Emily's twin. I live inside her mind," I smirked. "Name's Krystal. Anyway, it's time to explore!" "No. Don't you dare." The two females growled, shooting Spirits and Ice at me. I sighed, waving my hand. "You two are amateurs, compared to what I know from her over there." I brushed their attack off, nodding to Emily. Then Zane tackled me to the ground as things whistled over us. "Wha-?" I blinked. "Grims. Get up and get lost." Simona said, firing Spirit Smoke at the intruders. "No! I wanna help!" I protested. "Get your twin out of here! We will distract them." Perri instructed.
I picked up an unconscious Emily, sighed, then scurried to the edge of the woods. "How did they get into Animal Heaven?!" Simona panicked. "I do not know. One of the Kingdoms must have fell." They paused, glancing at each other. "Alenia." I really didn't care what they were saying, since the portal to get out was closing. I heaved my twin through, then jumped in after her, barely making it through before it closed. The portal closed with a BANG!
I pulled my unconscious sister behind a bush, then crouched down next to her. I almost didn't hide well enough, because no sooner had I slid to the grass, the portal opened almost by force, four Grims coming out. I only knew what they were called because of Emily, and I almost threw up from the smell. Watching them move awed and made me dizzy. They constantly changed shape, moving gracefully and silently. And they stunk like skunks. Eww, disgusting. They chatted in a strange, clicking language, almost looking like they were waiting.
They didn't wait long.
The portal opened, probably for the last time, and 2 glowing balls floated out, the Grims carrying them over their 'heads'. One had the boy slung over it's 'shoulder'.
As you may know, if you read the past points-of-views correctly, Emily's element is very unstable with her DNA and RNA. If we split, I control plants, she controls animals.
Anyway.
I hovered my hand near the tree, feeling the vines creep to my fingers. All I had to do was explode the Grims, rescue the others, and not get captured. Yeah, I can do this.
Pfft.
'Any moment now would be nice.' I thought, watching the Grims start to move. Emily shifted, beginning to wake up. 'Great.' I thought, then stood up. "HEY! Morons! A target is baiting you!" I waved my hands, grinning. The vines twisted around my ankles, waiting. Four of the six Grims came for me, holding black weapons and moving like ninjas. Ninja. Somethings. I smiled, almost maliciously, then stretched my arms out. Vines, flowers and leaves followed my lead-all made of spirits, mind you-and attacked the Grims.
Caught by surprise, they barely managed to fight back, failing miserably. The two holding the captives realized they were loosing and tried to scram. "No. You will not leave." I growled, shooting vines and tying them to the ground. They poofed with unnatural screams, vanishing in black sand.
I panted, staring at the fading black sand. The area was quiet, but something was off. Common sense told me there were more people on this island, and they were probably being attacked as I stand here. Simona and Perri were trapped in bubbles of some sort, and Zane was gone. They must've made off with him. Rats. Emily stood up and tapped my shoulder. "Uh, who are you?" She asked, groggy.
"I'm your twin. Zane is gone, and people are probably getting attacked." I tapped my lip, thinking. She blinked. "Well, it will probably be easier if we merge again." "Nah, we got to get the Guardians out of the bubble-things." We stared at them, thinking. Hmm, this could be difficult.
Maria's POV
Trevor suddenly stumbled, almost falling into a pot of boiling metal. "What's up?" I asked worriedly as he straightened. "A kingdom fell." He pressed a hand to his eyes, as if in pain. "What? Kingdom?" "Alenia. Something's really wrong." he whirled to me. "Quick, we must start on the weapons. And you're going to be making a new one as well." "What? Who?" I asked, feeling overwhelmed. "Krystal. No time to explain, you're also making Fans. Now move!" "Wait, is there anything else?" "If we have time, blow guns." He stood next to a huge oven and started yelling orders in a different language I hadn't learned yet. Ah, well. Time for that later. Now I need to move.
And quickly.
I'm back! Sorry for the super-long wait, I've had a bad case of writers block. And tomorrow's my final-so no update probably at all.
How do you like Krystal? And no, she's not going to date Jay. I totally ship Jay/Nya; she's just there cause I needed someone to be plants. Anyway...
Review? Cookies or waffles for the ones who do!
