Disclaimer: All credit goes to Shingo Nanami and フクロウ. Two years have past, Kasane is going to graduate from high school. (BTW Nobunaga and Kasane met when she was in her 1st year in high school). Enjoy.
Anecdote I
Part One
Nobunaga donned a his best suit, the one he would not ever wear to just any other occasion, and pulled out the gifts. One, a cake from a famous patisserie, for the twins and the other, an expensive Japanese sake, for Kasane's grandfather.*
These were goods from stores he had heard from his fellow co workers, the best kinds of gifts he could find.
The proverb enticing with objects holds true.
There's no mistake in being considerate so, he thoughtfully prepared gifts.
He supposed they wouldn't find.
"..."
Nobunaga stepped in front of the kendo dojo's gate.**
As it was connected to her home, it was certainly a huge house.
Its old exterior was a Japanese-style through and through.
Written at the notice board of the gate were the words 'Kusanagi'.***
Checking his watch, he noted that it was only slightly earlier than their designated time. Even so, he stepped through the wide, open gate.
There he saw Kasane's twin brothers who were cleaning the garden, they stood still with brooms in their hand.
"...Huh? Big brother…"
"We've seen him before, right….But who is he?"
The twins suddenly appeared before him with intense and curious eyes.
He felt a little irritated by their gazes, but she somehow controlled it and returned the stare.
Remembering Kasane's face, he compared her to the twins.
They looked the same, but yet looked different.
"Ah! I remember! Big brother was that doctor!"
One of the pair raised his voice as if he remembered something and pointed his finger at Nobunaga.
They both looked back at Nobunaga with perplexed and confused expressions.
"...I wonder why that doctor is at our house now?"
The one that seemed more strong-minded knitted his brow.
Well, these twins haven't known that he was dating Kasane, so that question was to be expected.
"..It's gift, brats."
He bluntly said and handed over the small box containing the cakes.
Once the twins noticed it contained cakes said, "Thank you very much!" and accepted it with sparkling eyes.
This sort of change of interest was exactly the same as hers.
The thought as he gazed down upon the twins.
"...What are you doing."
As if he heard the commotion, an elderly, stern-looking man (around the age of 60) slide open the door and revealed himself.
He wore a plain-patterned kimono, something that isn't usually worn in this generation.
It furthermore heightened his dignity.
"...Come inside, sir."****
Noticing Nobunaga's presence, he sent a sharp and intense gaze at him.
Nobunaga perceived the gaze and the old man faintly nodded. Feeling the tense mood, the twins bewilderedly and restlessly gazed back and forth at them.

*Though this may have been for the occasion, in Japan and other Asian countries, it's customary to bring a small gift. It's usually perishable goods like food. And, from this sentence, it says that Nobunaga specifically or 'went out his way' to find that good quality sake. Well, you have to get a really good gift to appease the grandfather right?
** It says it's connected to Kasane's home.
*** It says Kusanagi-ken. The 'ken' means house. So altogether it should be House of Kusanagi.
**** Uwaa… the way he says this gives me the chills. You see the way he says it, shows that he's clearly the superior here. It has the feel of "You are free to come inside/ You have my permission to enter." kind of feeling. Almost like he's the emperor whose allowing Nobunaga to step in. Ahahaha. Ah, and he doesn't say 'sir', but 'visitor'. But that sounded a bit too strange, so i changed it to this.
Well, this is it. I won't be able to update tomorrow. Hopefully I can do it on Sunday. Sorry to make anyone wait and I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend.
