~Jessica's POV~
I woke up in a field full of withered flowers, no, it's not withered, it's ... black. "Where am I?" I looked around but all I see are black flowers. I moved forward not knowing where I will go. I walked and walked and walked but still nothing catches my eyes. "This field is endless!" I lie down looking up the sky, all I see is are dark clouds. I sat up then saw a dead tree. "How? It wasn't there earlier." I stood up and walked towards the dead tree. A crow landed on it. "Milady" it say's, 'wierd, why do I know this voice?' "Come" it says I moved in closer. "Closer" it spoke again, that gentle voice. "Come" The crow flew towards me and lands in front of me, it started glowing, I closed my eyes because of the sudden light. The glow stopped, I gently opened my eyes then I saw a man in front of me, but his face was dark, I can't see his features. He held his hand at me "Come to me" he said, my body moved on its own, moving towards the man, like a spell casted on me. "Come closer" he said, I held my hand reaching for his hand, he pulled me closer to him, our bodies touching. "Who are you?" I asked, he moved in closer then whispered to my ears "Be mine", black wings came out of nowhere I pushed him away from me, "Who are.. you?" I asked again but this time fear are forming inside me. A dark smile plastered in his face " You will know in time", black feathers started falling from the sky, I turned around then run away, away from that person, away from this place. "This place is a dream! I don't want to be here! Get me out of here!" the ground collapsed making me fall to a never ending abyss.
I woke up breathing heavily, sweat beading on my face.
"Jessica!" Ciel called, I looked to my side to see a worried look on him, "Ciel!" I went to him hugging him tightly, he became stiff at my sudden movement, I cried, he placed his small hand on my head while giving me comforting words.
" sshhh. It's alright, it's just a dream?" he said, I hugged him tightly. The door opened revealing Sebastian and Undertaker, I removed myself from Ciel.
"That's an unusual scene" Undertaker teased. Ciel give him with an annoying look. "Sebastian get some water!" Ciel demanded.
Sebastian placed his hand on his chest and bowed, he then left us while Undertaker entered the room.
"have you slept well?" Undertaker asked. I did not reply "She had a nightmare" Ciel said.
"I'm sorry about earlier" I said to Undertaker then looked down. "No worries love, I was at fault, I should have did everything to prevent you from entering that room" he replied.
"How is the girl?" Ciel asked
"We already removed the spell from her" Undertaker replied
"Spell?" I asked curiously
"Yes, she was under hypnotism when you saw her" Ciel said "The reason is still unknown" he continued.
Sebastian arrived and entered the room with a tray that has a pitcher and glass, he poured the water on the glass and handed it to me, I grabbed the glass of water and drank it empty then handed the glass back to Sebastian.
"You sure are thirsty" Ciel said while Undertaker giggled. Sebastian grabbed the glass then placed it back at the tray.
"So what are we going to do with the girl now?" Ciel asked looking at the 2 men. "I can keep an eye on her for you" Undertaker offered. "And while she's here I can question everything about what she remembers." He continued.
"I want to go home" I said with a weak voice. They all looked at me "Very well, Tanaka will be here any minute now" Ciel said
"Young master" Sebastian called " May I have a word with you?" he said, Ciel looked at me then back at Sebastian "Very well" he stood up and walked towards the door, "We will be back" Ciel said then went out of the room, Sebastian following him.
Me and Undertaker were left behind. He moved towards me then sat beside the bed. "Are you scared back there?" he asked, I looked at him "I'm sorry" he said "I should have protected you properly earlier"
"No it's.. not your fault.. I was curious about what's inside that room.. you even told me not to go in there, but curiosity won over me so I… purposely dropped my tea so I can have an excuse to go to your kitchen and find the hidden door you said that connects to the flower room" I explained.
He looked at my confused at first then giggled "Sometimes your stubbornness are hard to control" he held my chin up "Will you stay here?" he asked randomly, I was about to speak when he pressed his fingers on my lips.
"I will not take no for an answer" he gave me his wide grin, with no choice left I nodded, his grin grew more wider.
Ciel and Sebastian entered the room "Tanaka is here, Let's go" Ciel said
"I'll stay" I said
"What?" Ciel looked at me confused "I thought you wanted to go home?"
"I changed my mind, and besides I want to talk to the girl who attacked me earlier"
"No way! I will not put your life in danger again!" Ciel argued
"Do not worry Earl I'm with her, this time I will make sure she's safe to stay here" Undertaker interrupted.
Ciel looked back and forth between me and Undertaker. "You will stubbornly stay here won't you?"
I nodded, he sighed in irritation "Fine, but! Sebastian will stay here as well, just to be sure"
"No! take your butler with you, I'm fine by myself" Sebastian looked at me, I bet he's not happy about me staying here with Undertaker. 'The hell I care!, he rejected me last night right?'
"Fine, as If I can change your mind. I know how stubborn you are!" Ciel said as I smile at him. "Thank you" I replied
"But! I will only give you 3 days, and if something happens on those 3 days, you will be dragged home do you understand?" he said eyeing me.
"Fine!" I replied forcibly Undertaker giggled "You're so over protective of your sister Earl, I did not know you have this side" Ciel blushed, I have the urge to tease him but decided not to.
"Shut up!" he yelled at Undertaker who was still giggling,
Ciel turned his back "Sebastian! Let's go!" he commanded Sebastian gave me one more look, I turned my gaze away from him "Sebastian!" Ciel yelled, he blinked then turned to Ciel "My apologies, Please let's go" he then followed Ciel
"I'll be escorting then outside" Undertaker said then followed them outside, when he doors closed I sighed then held my locket as I remember my dream
"Who was that man? Why do I feel that I know him?"
~Sebastian's POV~
As we were outside Undertakers filthy shop Tanaka went to our side "Where is Lady Jessica?" he asked "She said she wanted to stay here" Young master said irritably, Tanaka looked at us confusingly.
Young master looked back at Undertaker "Keep your promise Undertaker, because I swear If something happens to her I will make Sebastian rip your head off!" he said with a menacing glare, I smirked thinking of ripping this old man's head off
Undertaker just giggled "You worry too much earl" young master scowled then turned around, I gave Undertaker one last glare then followed young master inside the carriage.
~Time skip~
We were nearing the manor, I was staring at the window watching the trees pass by, "Are you thinking about her?" young master said.
I looked at him confused, I did not know I was in a trance, he gave me a smirk "What happened last night?" I looked at him straight in the eyes then replied. "She confessed to me"
"And what did you do?" he asked
"I simply rejected her"
"Did you regret it?"
"You do know that "regret" is not in my vocabulary"
"You're lying"
"I am not lying"
He stared at me for a while then asked again "Then why did you kiss her?" I looked at him in shock
"How did you know I kissed her?"
He smirked "So you did kiss her?" he said in amusement 'this brat! He's toying with me'
"You like her don't you?" he asked again
"No I don't like her" I replied
"Then, you love her?" he asked again this conversation is getting more and more annoying by the second.
"Why do you keep on asking the same questions?" I asked in irritation
His face straightened "Like and Love are two different things Sebastian"
"They are just the same, lusting and wanting to have the oth-"
"No they are not" He interrupted. I looked at his eye that shows seriousness.
"Like is a tender feeling for someone, being comfortable with that person, Love is an unconditional emotion it involves deeper and stronger emotions, that, that person means everything to you, that someone you want to protect for the rest of your life." He explained
I stared at him for a while then asked "Why do you lecture me when you don't even experience these things?"
"I did!" he said calmly "Because I was a human who received and gave this feelings before I sold my soul to you, That's why the two of us are two different species, a demon such as yourself can never understand."
We both stared at each other the carriage stopped silence overwhelmed us until he ask again "So what is it that you feel about her? Do you just like her? Or do you love her?"
I did not answer the only thing in my mind was her, but what is it really that I feel towards her? I decided to open my lips then said "I-"
~Jessica's POV~
"What was that dream?" I said lost in my thoughts I did not notice Undertaker already got back. "You seem lost love" he said, his face close to mine. I grabbed the pillows then threw it in his face.
"Undertaker please! Don't do that again!" I yelled, he giggled while holding the pillow, I sighed
"Do you want to eat?" he asked, I feel a bit hungry after what happened today, Giving him a nod he helped my get off the bed then went off to the kitchen.
*CRASH* "I-im sorry!" I said stuttering "No worries love" Undertaker said rushing to my aid
"I-i will go clean this up"
"No need, I don't want you hurting yourself" Undertaker said pushing me away from the scattered shards of plate.
"I didn't know your also clumsy" he teased, I glared at him then sighed "I'll be just outside" I said wrapping my arms around myself Undertaker just looked at me while I went out of the kitchen.
I sat on a box near the door of the shop, the dream I had keeps on repeating on my head, Who was that person? Why do I feel that I know him? After a few minutes Undertaker called me saying that dinner is ready.
~Time skip~
"Undertaker" I called, he looked up then replied "Yes?"
"Can I ask you something?" I said, he tilted his head to the side looking at me curiously then asked. "What is it?" I stared at him for a while carefully choosing my words
"Well, it's about a dream"
"A dream? what about it?" he asked as if interested in the subject, I sighed then said "Ok here it goes, I was in a field of black flowers, then I saw a dead tree and on it was.."
He raised an eyebrow "What's on the tree?"
"A .. Crow" I continued
"A crow?" he repeated
"Yes a crow, the next thing is it flew right in front of me and it transformed"
"It transformed?"
"Yes! It transformed into a man, and it keeps on telling me to come closer to him"
"And what did you do?"
"I.. went to his side, I don't know why but I feel like I've been mesmerized by that person and when I got closer he said.." I stopped, thinking if I should continue or not
"What did he say?" Undertaker asked, I looked at him but I did not answer "Well?" he asked tilting his head to the side.
I looked away then said in almost a whisper "He said... "Be mine" and..."
"And?" Undertaker raised an eyebrow
"The man grew black wings" I continued, Undertaker gave me his usual wide grin.
"Is the man in your dream seemed familiar to you?" he asked
"Well his voice seemed familiar, but I can't seem to remember, I knew I know him but I can't really picture who he was" I replied.
"Would you like a hint?" he said, I looked at him with confusion, 'Did he already decipher my dream' he moved in close to me then whispered something to my ear.
"A butler" he said then went back to his seat still wearing his wide grin, I sat there staring at him 'A butler? What does he me-' then it came to me
"S-sebastian?" I asked nervously, he nodded, now I'm more confused than ever, Why is Sebastian in my dream, and in that kind of dream.
"But how? Why is he in my dream? I don't understand!" I asked in confusion
Undertaker giggled "Well dear, like me he's not human" he said
"N-not h-human?" 'I know he's a reaper because William said it himself but Sebastian? What is he really?' then I remembered some things
"It seems that the demon had already spotted our location" (Undertaker ch 12)
"I will NEVER fall in love for a mere human like you" (Sebastian ch 14)
"Looks like you know about us are you perhaps an ally of that demon?" (William ch 16)
I looked at Undertaker, my body is now trembling, then I asked "W-what i-is he?"
"Try and guess it" he just replied.
I was hesitant, but the only thing that comes to my mind now was that word that made my body tremble like this
"Is he... a .. Demon?"
His wide grin grew wider "Exactly!"
