Before the Epilogue.
With her arms linked around her parents' arms, Hermione tried to untie the knot that her gut had tied itself into. For seven years Hermione had been part of a world that her parents knew nothing of and despite wanting to she could never allow them the chance to be a part of her world. First it was because of rules that prevented her from performing magic at home, then it was because she wasn't sure what they would think about her friends and their family.
Just when she had gotten over that hurdle, the threat of Voldermort had become apparent and Hermione couldn't risk her parents' safety by exposing them to the magical world. However now that all threats had passed and there were no more unknowns and her heart and mind had finally achieved the man she had loved and lusted for seven long years.
Now there was nothing stopping her from immersing her parents fully into the magical world, there were no more obstacles to avoid and no more hurdles to overcome. She was finally free to do as she pleased.
Ron who was escorting the Grangers inside the house said "I hope you guys are hungry, because mum has cooked us up some lunch."
Martha said in a concerned voice "oh I hope she hasn't gone to too much trouble just for us."
Hermione had momentarily returned to the car to let Crookshanks out of his carrier. He too seemed to get carried away and bounded across the yard to the garden in search of gnomes.
Ron grinned and said "Oh you have no idea, let me give you guys a crash course on my mum, she loves three things, cooking for her loved ones, feeding her loved ones and caring for her loved ones and not exactly in that order."
Nigel and Martha laughed at that comment, however their laughter soon turned to shock and surprise as they saw the whole hog being roasted on a pit a few feet away. However when Martha and Nigel entered the house and saw the kitchen filled with different dishes and foods. They were struck speechless. However Nigel recovered his voice first and said in amazement "my god look at all this food, the amount of food here can feed an entire regiment."
Ron and Hermione laughed together before Ron said "Well Nigel, stick around for dinner and I can assure that all this food will be consumed in its entirety, because when the Weasley family comes together there is no chance of there being left overs, but mum says that she is not yet finished cooking so until then it's time for introductions and drinks."
A few minutes later
Hermione watched anxiously from afar as her friends Ron, Harry, Luna, Ginny and Neville had taken over the responsibility from her by introducing her to the Weasley clan and the various guests that had arrived at the Burrow. While she heard from Angelina the exact events of how Molly had inherited Blinky the House Elf from Aunt Muriel, along with the other bequests that Aunt Muriel had made to the Weasley children.
Hermione only half listened to the former Gryffindor Quidditch Captain as she told her friend about the events that had transpired while the couple were abroad, including the bequests the old Weasley Aunt had made. While part of Hermione's brilliant mind processed and understood the information her ebony skinned friend was telling her. most of her attention was on watching her parents interact with her boyfriend's family. However when she heard the words Six Bedroom Mansion, Godric's Hollow and Ron in a sentence together, she decided to leave her parents in the capable hands of her best friends and gave her full attention to Angelina Johnson.
Over the past few weeks Ron had developed an odd habit of observing his girlfriend's parents closely so as to try and read their expressions, although he wasn't as good at it as Harry, he was beginning to understand the fascination his father held with all things Muggle.
He watched with amusement as Nigel Granger was temporarily blinded by Fleur's obvious beauty, he watched with awe as he saw Nigel nod his head in appreciation and understanding at the scars on Bill's face and George's missing ear. He felt the knot in his stomach come loose as Nigel firmly shook Bill and George's hand and told them that as a man who had faced battle many times before he knew the value of scars and respected the men for risking their lives in battle.
He watched with a grin at Martha's smile and light Blush as she discreetly gave Charlie's buff and highly muscular body a once over as she shook his hand. Thanks to his work with Dragons he had developed a physique that would put many bodybuilders to shame. It seemed that Charlie was in a playful mood as he looked up at Ron and winked. Ron could barely contain his laughter as he saw Charlie lean down and kiss Martha's hand before letting go. Ron could hardly contain his laughter when he saw Martha slightly swoon at Charlie's chivalry.
Although the meeting with Percy was formal and polite, Ron was interested to see the expressions on the face of the Grangers as they met with Hagrid and the other staff of Hogwarts. Ron was not surprised to see that the teachers of Hogwarts greeted the Muggles warmly, while the Grangers were equally respectful. He did let out a short laugh when he saw Hagrid forgo the typical handshake for his trademark Hagrid Bear hugs. Even from a distance he could see the expressions on Nigel and Martha Granger's faces while trapped in the bear hug and it wasn't until Professor Sprout patted him in the back that he let the two Muggles go with a sheepish expression on his face.
Ron was mildly surprised to see Nigel perform a Military salute when he was introduced to the Minister of Magic, however he was even more surprised when he saw Kingsley return the salute with equal respect and vigor.
Much like Percy, Ollivander was also polite and formal while meeting the Grangers, however he was not at all surprised when he saw his mum eagerly greet and hug the husband and wife duo, while his father shook their hands warmly while welcoming them to their home.

Nigel and Martha were amazed and happy to see that their daughter had made so many friends in the magical world and from what her teachers told them in their short meeting a few moments ago, it seemed she was a model student and like her mother excelled in her studies. He had met Molly before on many occasions, however never in a setting like this.
So taking his wife's advice he bought a bouquet of flowers for Molly and for Arthur he gave him a gift basket with his favorite Blended Scotch Whiskey: Johnnie Walker: the large basket contained a lovely wrap around hard case that opened out like a book and securely held three 700ml Bottles: Johnnie Walker Black Label, Double Black Label and his personal favorite Blue Label. The basket also contained an additional bottle: Johnnie Walker Swing. The gift set also contained a pair of authentic Johnnie Walker scotch glasses and a packet of salted crackers and sweet chocolates.

While Martha rolled her eyes slightly as Nigel enthusiastically educated Arthur about Muggle spirits, she looked at Molly and asked if she needed any help in the kitchen. However when Molly denied her help saying everything was under control Martha suddenly felt momentarily confused as to what to do, when Charlie and Bill came to the rescue and placing a hand on their father's shoulder Bill said "hey dad, since mum says that we still have an hour before lunch is ready, why don't we get to know the Grangers better and retire to the living room.
Turning to his brothers he said "Charlie, you go get some glasses and ice from the Kitchen, Ron go tell mum to send Blinky out with a plate of snacks and some meat-pies and sandwiches. Percy and George I want one of you to bring out the Fire whiskey, a bottle of that Elf made wine and a pitcher of mead, while the other gets some cold bottles of Butter beer and a Pitcher of Pumpkin and Orange juice for those who would prefer non-alcoholic refreshments,"
While the four brothers set out to do the tasks given to them by Bill, Neville and Harry stepped up for their own marching orders. Bill looked at them and said " The Hog should be done by now, so I want you two to get out to the yard and get that Hog out of the fire and get it to the Kitchen so that mum can finish cooking it by adding the Turducken to the belly of the Hog."
A few moments later:
With Molly having given her final instructions to Blinky the House-elf for the remaining dishes, she joined her husband Arthur on the sofa while he poured her a generous shot of Double Black Label blended scotch whiskey from the jigger that came in the gift basket before pouring one for himself. Interestingly enough all the wizards in the room including Harry, Neville and Ron decided to copy Arthur and also poured themselves a shot of the Muggle whiskey.
While the males drank the scotch whiskey, the witches in the group except for Molly decided to opt for the Muggle white Chardonnay wine that Nigel had gifted Molly along with the bouquet of flowers
Nigel appreciated the gesture the group of magicians in front of him were trying to make and duplicated the gesture by pouring himself a generous shot of Fire whiskey after pouring his wife a glass of Blood red Elf-made wine.
Arthur looked at those in front of him and said "many of us have gone through hell and back, this particular year, and for many of us, this is the hardest year as we grieve for those we have lost. However let us not forget that at the end of every tunnel is a bright light and the fact that we are sitting here not as wizards, or witches, or pure-bloods or half-bloods or Muggle born or even Muggles. We sit here as fellow human beings, so while it is true we have lost many friends and loved ones, we have also gained many more. I hereby propose a toast, to old friends lost and to new friends made!"
Everyone brought their glasses in front of them with a smile on their face as they repeated the toast and clinked their glasses before drinking deeply from their glasses. The wizards were slightly surprised to see Nigel gulp down the Fire whiskey with relative ease. it was a known fact that Ogden's Old Fire whiskey always caused a first time drinker to cough slightly when the alcohol burned their throats on the way down to their stomachs. Thus the name Fire whiskey.
Once everyone had taken a sip Minerva looked to the Grangers and said "I know for you Hermione is simply your precious daughter, I can see that you have been struggling to understand your Daughter's world and her friends for seven years. However for many of us here she has many forms which she represents to us.
Now that we finally have an opportunity I believe it is time you leave behind what you knew about your daughter Hermione and get to know this brand new person we all know and love as the Brilliant Muggle Born witch: Hermione Granger. So allow me to tell you two the effect this One Muggle born witch has had on all our lives. Gathered here are many people who have seen her grow from the bookish and shy eleven year old girl that you knew into the confident, beautiful, courageous and not to mention brilliant and dangerous young woman and witch she has now become and much of the credit towards her growth and Maturity goes to her friends."
Nigel looked at his wife and said "you always wanted to go on an adventure right dear? Well this is your chance. He then uncorked the bottle of Elf Made wine and filled his wife's glass with a generous amount of the magical wine. He then looked at the wizards in front of him and said "you have all honored me by breaking bread and drinking with me, While as a doctor I must say that excessive alcohol can cause teeth decay and bad breath, as a father and a former soldier it warms my heart to sit down at this table with fellow soldiers. Therefore if you will permit me and if you believe you can handle your alcohol, I would like you all to finish the remaining whisky in your glasses, and before we embark on this adventure if you will allow me I would like to pour you your next glass.
The wizards were curious at Nigel's words and quickly finished their remaining liquor in a bottoms up style. Nigel explained what he was doing to the wizards "This particular type of drinking whiskey was introduced to me by my Gunnery Sergeant, he was my NCO or what you would call Non Commissioned Officer when I was a Major in the SAS.
He was a second generation Indian by the name Diljit Singh. Its called a Patiala Peg and is a volume roughly equivalent to 120ml, though the rough and ready measure is the amount of liquor needed to fill a glass equal to the height between the index and little fingers when they are held parallel to one another. The name originates from the city of Patiala in the Indian state of Punjab, and is about 50% larger than a normal shot glass. His father was an Indian Immigrant from the state of Punjab, although his father had and still does own a very successful Textile Business.
Although they are hard workers, their hobby is mainly drinking and they are bloody good at it. So good in fact that they can drink any Irishman or Scotsman under the table without even breaking a sweat."
As Nigel poured each wizard a Patiala Peg he regaled them with old stories of his days in the Military. including a ritual he used to perform before drinking. When drinking in a bar he would always buy the Bartender two drinks because he believed that every Bartender was the Greek God Dionysus or his Roman Counterpart Bachus in Disguise and thus he bought them a drink to appease and honor both aspects of the Greek God of Wine and wine making.
He also told them that when going to war or engaging the enemy he always dedicated his first kills in a fight to Athena and Ares the Greek Gods of War. He also told them that whenever he took over enemy territory he always dedicated a small patch to Mars And Bellona, the Roman gods of War.
He was pleased to note that none of the men showed amusement or ridicule on their face, and although they did not understand certain aspects and asked for an explanation when this occurred. As Nigel spoke he contemplated a thought that soldiers were the same around the world and across cultures, they were a superstitious lot that held great belief in large and elaborate rituals, because at the end of the day it was faith not glory that spurred soldiers on in battle. Once he finished pouring for the wizards he poured a generous shot of Elf made wine for his wife.
Martha noticed this gesture and rolling her eyes turned to her husband and with a naughty smile said "You know if I didn't know you better I think you're doing all this to get me drunk so can take advantage of little old me."
Nigel laughed a booming laugh and said "I am afraid my dear, that taking advantage of you and getting in your knickers is the later part of my plan, before I take advantage of you I intend to get you incredibly drunk, then Incredibly stuffed with some Delicious home cooked food and then after all that is said and done, That is when I intend to take advantage of your beautiful feminine charms."
Many of the adults there chuckled at the scene that was unfolding before them, Harry and Ginny were trying their best not to laugh while looking at Hermione's appalled face. However the mood between Nigel and Martha was ruined when Luna spoke her mind. "Well it is not surprising that this is occurring, Daddy had published an article a while ago that said that the Ministry of Magic was adding Aphrodisiacs into Fire whiskey and Elf made wine in order to encourage sexual intercourse and as a result increase the chances of pregnancy so as to increase the population of the wizarding world."
Neville scrambled to cover his girlfriend's mouth while the Muggle couple and the teachers of Hogwarts were struck dumb as they tried to process what the pale faced girl had said. The teenagers however had all burst into laughter and were rolling on the ground clutching their stomachs from laughing so hard.
George who was in the middle of finishing his drink spit out his drink which landed on Percy's face. This caused the teenagers to laugh even harder, Percy and Hermione were not at all amused however, while Percy had taken offense and had left to clean his face of spittle and alcohol that George had spit on him. Hermione had fixed Luna with a glowering look so intense that it seemed that Luna would burst into flames in a few moments. Hermione seemed intent on proving how dangerous she was when she started to remove her wand, however before she could do anything George still trying to stop laughing said "Luna I am not sure if you are aware, but I run a highly successful joke shop called Weasley Wizard Wheezes, tell me does your father publish such interesting articles frequently."
Luna brightened for a moment and said "Oh he used to run a special edition every Month, but now he is publishing more mainstream stories, why do you ask?"
George removed a card from his pocket and said "When we opened our Joke shop, Fred and I agreed to limit the amount of books and Literature we kept as stock, however you're father's article has me intrigued and I do believe I can help him find a market for it. Have him contact me at this address to talk business."
Luna nodded her head and tucked away George's business card in the back of her very tight and faded jeans. Seeing her boyfriend admire the young girl's blossoming feminine features did not please Angelina and using her wand she muttered a non-verbal spell that suddenly had George leaned to one side, rubbing his bum. He was glaring at Angelina who was giving him her best raised eyebrow-of-righteousness.
Ron laughed at his brother and said "serves you right you pervert she is barely legal and is your sister's age, can't you stop ogling her, besides don't you have your own woman to ogle, why you have to ogle Neville's woman."
George was about to open his mouth to say something However Angelina beat him to it and said in a very low and dangerous growl like voice "Be very careful about the next words that come out of your mouth George Weasley, the wrong words might lead you to be punished for an indefinite amount of time!"
George had a sheepish look on his face as he said "I'm sorry Neville and Luna, I overstepped my boundaries." He then looked at Angelina who slowly nodded her head.
Ron was awestruck and asked his former captain and schoolmate "Wait, how did you manage to get George under control, you have to tell me the story."
George suddenly rounded on his brother and with a dangerous look in his eye muttered softly "oh I am sure she will tell you that story as soon as you tell her the story about how you flew dad's car into the Whomping Willow."
"Oi! I did not fly it into that tree. It crashed," Ron said, with conviction, "of its own volition."
This was not one of the stories Hermione wanted her parents to hear about.
"And then he lost it in the Forbidden Forest," George added, not helping.
"Again, not my fault. It ran away. Good thing too, seeing as it saved Harry and I from the giant spiders."
At this point, Hermione was seeing stars behind her closed eyes, her fingers pinching the bridge of her nose.
"Hey!" Harry finally spoke up. "You just said 'Harry and I'."
Ron looked at him, confused. "So?"
"Well, usually you'd say 'Me and Harry'. Hermione's finally rubbing off on you."
There was a group chuckle around the table, so it took good hearing to hear George's final salvo, "I bet that's not all she's rubbing."
Unfortunately for George, Hermione had excellent hearing and Ron had been rubbing off on her. There was a yelp and everyone turned to see George leaned to one side, rubbing his bum again. He was glaring at Hermione who was giving him her best prefect eyebrow-of-righteousness.
In the ensuing silence, Molly was the first to speak up. "Serves you right."
Nigel and Arthur, bless them, were oblivious to what had just transpired but everyone else had caught on and the laughter picked right back up again. The two fathers just shrugged and decided that whatever it was had worked itself out.
Martha, much to Hermione's dismay, had been paying attention. "So, giant spiders in the Forbidden Forest?"
Hermione had managed to deflect her mother away from the topic of Acromantula by saying that she had never been into the forest to see them. It wasn't a lie; whenever she went into the forest it wasn't to find Acromantula.
Soon the Acromantula story was long forgotten as it was replaced by the enthralling story of the time when Ron used the Wingardium Laviosa spell to hit a troll on the head with his own club in order to save Hermione from said Troll. This story then lead to the story of how Hermione had first broken the School rules by smuggling a cranky and fire breathing baby Dragon with Harry and Ron in the dead of night under a magical Invisibility Cloak.
As the alcohol ebbed their inhibitions the stories got wilder from Hermione figuring out the secret to Snape's potions in the first year, to punching Malfoy in the face. Soon that story led to the story of Hermione and the Hippogriff. As the glasses were refilled and the time passed by the parents of Hermione Granger experienced a roller coaster of emotions as they heard the stories, from crying in sorrow and fear when Harry told them how Hermione was petrified in her second year to laughter when Harry told them how she confounded Cormac McLaggen in her sixth year at the Quidditch tryouts.
The stories followed no particular pattern and were simply told at random by who-ever happened to remember a particularly interesting story. Seeing as the story telling seemed to go on forever, Molly had Blinky the House-elf place the food under a warming charm and requested him to make sandwiches and serve them.

The early afternoon soon gave way to late afternoon when Nigel finally put down his glass of Fire whiskey and grabbing the still full bottle of Johnnie Walker said in a slightly slurred tone "How is it possible that this bottle is still full, by my estimate this bottle should be almost empty by now."
Professor Flitwick laughed his squeaky laugh and said "my good man I am afraid your calculations are a bit off. This bottle became almost empty more than 6 times already, I believe Hagrid and Charlie have been majorly responsible for it becoming empty so many times."
Nigel was drunk as a skunk and said "I know I am drunk, but I am sure I heard you say the bottle became almost empty six times before, so how is it still full to the brim?"
Flitwick took the bottle of Fire whiskey and said "like this, pointing his wand at the half empty bottle of Fire whiskey he muttered a nonverbal spell and suddenly the half empty bottle of whiskey looked like not a single drop had been poured as of yet."
Nigel had an amazed look on his face and with a hearty laugh on his face "My dear man I do believe this little magical spell has fulfilled every drunk's dream, that their alcohol never finish, in fact this reminds me of a poem."
Martha and Hermione groaned in frustration together, however Nigel ignored the two women and taking a shot of his drink before reciting one of his favorite Poems by Charles Baudelaire. It goes something like this:
"You have to be always drunk. That's all there is to it—it's the only way. So as not to feel the horrible burden of time that breaks your back and bends you to the earth, you have to be continually drunk.
But on what? Wine, poetry or virtue, as you wish. But be drunk.
And if sometimes, on the steps of a palace or the green grass of a ditch, in the mournful solitude of your room, you wake again, drunkenness already diminishing or gone, ask the wind, the wave, the star, the bird, the clock, everything that is flying, everything that is groaning, everything that is rolling, everything that is singing, everything that is speaking. . .ask what time it is and wind, wave, star, bird, clock will answer you: "It is time to be drunk! So as not to be the martyred slaves of time, be drunk, be continually drunk! On wine, on poetry or on virtue as you wish."
The Wizards in the room found this poem extremely funny, especially Hagrid and Charlie who used to spend most of their free time being drunk once upon a time. George also chuckled at the poem, not because of the lyrics but because of the meaning behind them. He understood what it meant to be a slave to the drink if only to escape from time and reality.
Professor Flitwick also chuckled heartily at the Muggle's comments and said "I am afraid my dear man you are very much mistaken. You see while it is possible to refill a bottle of alcohol, many manufactures create anti refilling bottles, essentially saying that the bottles in which these alcohol are poured and the alcohol themselves are created with a charm that prevents them from being magically refilled."
Nigel if possible looked even more amazed and said "Then how did you refill these bottles magically?"
Flitwick chuckled softly again before replying "The reason my dear man I was able to do is because I was the inventor of these types of bottles and charms myself."
Nigel found this simple fact to be extremely funny as he roared with laughter, however his laughter soon turned to curiosity when Martha turned to Ollivander and asked "Mr. Ollivander if I may ask how does a wizard or witch choose a new wand, is it as simple as picking up a wand and using it or is it more complex?"
The old wand maker smiled and said "ah what a simple yet such a complicated question, my dear. The reason I say so my dear lady is because the very question you have asked is a question many wand makers have been trying to understand for centuries."
To answer your question however but is not the wizard or witch that chooses the wand but the other way around: it is the other way around It is the wand that chooses the wizard. For you see a wizard's wand is a very intricate and personal thing containing many layers of magic and consciousness.
Every single wand is unique and its character will depend on the particular tree and magical creature from which it derives its materials. Moreover, each wand, from the moment it finds its ideal owner, will begin to learn from and teach its human partner.
Only a minority of trees can produce wand quality wood (just as a minority of humans can produce magic). It takes years of experience to tell which ones have the gift. To put it in layman's terms the magical elements within a wand gives it something akin to consciousness. Let me give you an example. He turned to Hermione and gestured to her for her wand, when she had given it to him he examined it within his fingers.
Nigel nodded in understanding and said "yes, I assume that makes sense, just like a minority of people can become professional soldiers and just like a professional soldier can shoot accurately with any firearm, however he will always have his own personal favorite type of gun, because like its handler and owner the properties of a gun will reflect it's owner's own personality and shooting preferences."
Mr. Ollivander frowned slightly at the enthusiasm and passion Nigel spoke about a metal wand that Muggles used to kill each other, however he then remembered that this man had been a professional soldier at one time.
The old wand maker nodded his head and said "yes a crude but effective example Mr. Granger, Just like it is possible for a soldier to shoot effectively and accurately with any gun, so can a wizard or witch perform magic with any wand. However unlike a gun, a wand has a consciousness and will therefore always choose its own master instead of the other way around.
This wand is the second wand that I have made for your daughter Hermione; the first wand I made was vastly different from its successor 10¾", vine wood, and dragon heart string. The properties of vine wood are very interesting: Vine wands are among the less common types, and I have been intrigued to notice that their owners are nearly always those witches or wizards who seek a greater purpose, who have a vision beyond the ordinary and who frequently astound those who think they know them best.
Vine wands seem strongly attracted by personalities with hidden depths and great ambition, and I have found them more sensitive than any other when it comes to instantly detecting a prospective match. The wood itself is very supple and flexible, however when paired with Dragon Heart string they produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. It is also the most prone of all cores to accidents, being somewhat temperamental."
Nigel was intrigued and said "that is really interesting Mr. Ollivander, the traits you described just now of the wand, match perfectly with Hermione's personality, she has always been a quick learner and despite her best efforts she has a fiery temper and from what her teachers and friends have said it seems that she knows very well how to use her wand and is not afraid to use it." Looking at his daughter he said "Atta girl Hermione great job, I am proud of you!"
While Hermione blushed lightly and thanked her father, Martha spoke up "wait, if I heard you correctly, you said you made two wands for Hermione, what does that mean?"
Seeing Hermione's crestfallen face Ollivander said not unkindly "I am afraid my dear lady that is not my story to tell, however suffice it to say she lost it during the last year, during the war."
Martha was curious however she knew better than to push the issue further so she changed the subject and said "can you tell us about her new wand then?"
The old wand maker smiled and look said "ah now that is a subject and story I can tell and will be glad to tell, However I am afraid that is a story that will have to wait until after lunch, Molly has gone through a lot of hassle and pains to cook a delicious feast for her guests, and I for one would not want to disappoint her, so might I suggest we adjourn for lunch, just as you are eager to know about our world, we are eager to learn about yours. Perhaps in the meanwhile her friends can regale you with more entertaining tales of Hermione Granger the Muggle Born Witch.
A/N: Alright then here is another chapter finished I hope you liked it. So first it is time for some shout outs: first: the part about Ron and George talking about the car that flew into the Whomping Willow and Hermione hexing George on his bullocks was taken from ozzel1and her story An Unconventional Fairytale. The author was kind enough to allow me access to her story.
The second shout out goes to all of you guys and gals who have Favorite, Followed and Reviewed my story.
Now that the shout outs are done it's time for some A/N: this is a chapter I have been wanting to write ever since I wrote the chapter: Wand and Wizard, however I wanted to do it proper justice with the proper time and setting.
The last couple of chapters have been a turning point for my story, I have been trying to showcase the fact that Harry/Ginny and Hermione/Ron along with the other couples within the story have moved out of their initial relationship phase of trying to understand each other and testing the waters.
They are now moving towards the phase of their relationship where they are ready to take the final step and consummate their relationship (Biblically speaking). Therefore in future chapters you might see the characters take a bit of a more serious turn as they realize the Holidays are coming to an end and it's time for the main characters to start functioning on their own as well.
some A/N about the chapter itself
The whiskey that was gifted to Arthur is my personal favorite and it is why I chose this particular brand. The part about the Patiala Peg is real and its how i won many drinking contests in College. The part about guns and soldiers. I have no idea bout that, but I have read enough political thrillers and spy novel to know that this is a common theme between them.
The things that Nigel describes doing to honor the Greek and Roman Gods of battle and wine is something I thought would be interesting and would add an interesting dimension to the story. I have used this chapter to highlight the fact that although Nigel has left the Military he is still very deeply connected to it on a personal level. This will play a part in some future chapters that I write. So Stay tuned.
