*whimpers* I think a lot of you want to kill me for that last cliffhanger. Well wait no longer, because the chapter is now here! But first, as always, I must thank the amazing people who reviewed!
DriftedDaisy- Aw, you will read more Zelda stories by me, I actually have 2 that I'm planning, and they're going to come out very soon. For more information about that, check below. Anyway, thank you for the nice review!
TheBlueAlienRobotZombie- thank you! That made me laugh a bit. Haha, maybe I am physic! Just kidding. And that really made me smile. Glad to hear that. Thank you for the very kind review!
Ganon lover- Well, I finished it earlier than that though... But I could start the new story on your birthday instead, would you like that? And thank you so much, that's so kind! Thank you for your sweet review. Also, about that, I think I'm going to break my rule this one time... I got both suggestions at almost the same time, so I'm going to write both of them and publish them. So this time, there will be two stories for you to read at the same time! Oh and about your story suggestion, just answer this question, do you a) want the girl to fall in love with Ganon and he becomes a good guy later or b) she hates him but is forced to be with him, and she loves someone else, but might get her happy ending later on. Just tell me which option you prefer, I think b) would be easier for me, but it's your choice. :)
ShadowNinja1011- Haha, sorry! Don't worry, you'll see what happens and hopefully you'll be pleased with it. Thank you for reviewing!
Light Speed508- That's good, haha, she can't do anything now! Thank you for the kind review!
Holly M- Sorry about that, but I had to do it! It was too tempting to put the cliffhanger. And that's very good to hear. It's ending sooner than you think... Well you'll find out in this chapter! And your guess was pretty close to what I was planning. Thank you for the very sweet review! I loved it! It put a huge smile on my face!
Guest- I'm sorry! Here's the next chapter and it's only a day after the last one, I hope that makes up for it, haha. Aww thank you! That was so sweet! Thank you for that nice review!
Hylian- Thanks, I'm glad to hear that. Thank you for the nice review.
And before I start this chapter, I just want to say... Oh boy, I'm scared to this, but... It's the last chapter of this story. DON'T KILL ME! *runs away from angry reviewers*
Link stood there not knowing what to do. Zelda was the person he cared about the most, he loved her, and couldn't do that to her. He had to free her, but if he gave Jarom the mystical key that they had been working so hard to get this whole time it would mean all that time and effort was for nothing and most importantly, Hyrule would be destroyed. So what was Link supposed to do? It was either the lives of the people in Hyrule or the girl that he loved. This was truly a hard decision. He was a hero and he had to be fair.
"Link no! Don't do it! It's not worth it, I'm not worth it! I'm only one person, if you do this then so many lives will be doomed!" Zelda yelled through the crystal shield.
Zelda meant everything to him. Without her, he didn't know what he would do.
"Make your choice Link... If you don't give me the mystical key, I'll go as far as killing your precious Zelda," Jarom said.
"Don't do this just for me Link. Go back to Hyrule and fight Ganon and Moraj, please!" Zelda yelled out to him with tears rolling down her cheeks.
"You shut up you whiny brat!" Jarom shouted at her.
"Don't talk to her like that!" Link screamed.
"Make your choice right now Link," Jarom said tensely.
Link had to think of something quickly. Either way he couldn't win, but there had to be some way he could have gotten out of this. But suddenly he got an idea. Link knew what type of man Jarom was. Jarom wasn't very bright and would do anything to protect his pride. He could not stand to be insulted. So Link decided to try something else.
"So you want this key so badly, you'd try to get it this way? Oh my, and I thought you were a tough strong guy. You're not even manly enough to fight me for it," Link said smartly. He hoped this plan would work.
"Shut up! I am, but I want to do this the fast and easy way," Jarom defended himself.
"Also known as the cowardly way..." Link taunted.
"Are you calling me a coward?!"
"Well if you try to get the key this way, then yes, you're a huge coward."
"That's it! I've had enough of you! I can't believe I even offered you the chance to live! We're fighting for it, and I will kill you! You'll die by my blade!"
Link scoffed. "So arrogant and touchy..."
"Shut up! You dare to insult me?! You die for that! Unforgivable!" Jarom pulled out his sword and walked towards Link.
"Link no! Stop it!" Zelda shouted.
They ignored her and proceeded with the fight. Jarom attacked first. He swung his sword in a spin attack. Link back-flipped to dodge his attack. Jarom snarled and swung at him again, but Link blocked it with his sword.
"You say you're so good, but your attacks are so easy to block," Link said to Jarom.
"Oh please." Jarom scoffed. "I'm only warming up."
Link rolled to the side and hit him in the back. Jarom turned around and slashed Link.
"Link!" Zelda screamed as she saw Link's left arm bleed.
"It's okay Zelda, I'm fine." He quickly hit Jarom with another attack.
"What's that cast on your arm?" Jarom asked with a smile.
Link didn't answer but narrowed his eyes and did a vertical swing at him. Jarom dodged.
"Is your arm, broken?" Jarom raised an eyebrow with an evil look on his face.
"Doesn't matter. I'll kill you either way, with my arm broken or not."
"Oh you're the arrogant one now!"
Jarom grew in size, and shot a magic ball at Link. Jarom also had a hard shell, so Link had to find the weak spot. He kept analyzing Jarom and looking everywhere. Until he found it, the weak spot was the back of his head! Link took out his bow and arrow and cringed from the pain in his arm, but kept going and shot his head from behind. He got as many shots as he could before Jarom turned around, charged at him, and held him by the neck.
"There is no way that was going to work," Jarom said while tightening his grip on Link's neck. He was about to get choked, until Link kicked him hard in the stomach, causing Jarom to fall back in pain. With that advantage, Link ran to him and was about to thrust the sword into him, but Jarom quickly got up and slashed at Link again.
After a long battle, Jarom finally was knocked on the ground again and Link ran to him, then thrust the sword into his stomach. That caused Jarom to bleed heavily and Link delivered the finishing blow, which killed Jarom. His pulse wasn't working anymore and he had died.
"Done." Link let out a huge breath and then took Jarom's sword. He went to Zelda and broke the crystal shield, which allowed Zelda to be freed.
"Thank you Link!" she said as she wrapped her arms around him and gave him a tight hug, while crying on his shoulder. "Thank you so much..."
"You're welcome," he said softly, then smiled. "We're almost done. We have the full key now. We can go back to Hyrule."
Zelda sniffled and then smiled too. She pulled away from the hug and wiped a tear from her eye.
"I'm sorry I ran off like that. It was wrong..." Zelda apologized again. Link just smiled at her.
"It's okay, we all make mistakes. And it's only because you cared about me and wanted to save Hyrule. So it wasn't that bad," he replied.
"Link, before we go back to Hyrule...can we visit Sailly, Derry and Derby, for the last time?" she asked him.
"Sure, I would like to see them, too."
They exited that dark world and were greeted by the light of day. Zelda was smiling and talking normally, but Link still had one thing on his mind.
"Zelda."
"Yeah Link?" she answered.
"Did he...did he hurt you?" Link finally spoke his mind. Zelda pursed her lips.
"Yes..." she said quietly.
"What did he do?" Link widened his eyes and had a very serious tone.
"It doesn't matter... Link, please."
"No, it does! What did he do?!" he asked again. She whimpered.
"H-he twisted my wrist and slapped me across the face..."
Link cursed loudly and was angry.
"How hard did he hit you?" he asked her.
"...It hurt a lot." She mumbled.
"I really hate his guts!"
"Link, relax. I'm okay now, and he's dead. We dealt with him already, just don't dwell on this."
"Fine..." he murmured.
After they talked more, they reached Zora Village.
"I wonder what's going on with Sailly. She probably made a lot of friends now."
"Yeah." Zelda smiled.
They saw a young girl pass by.
"Excuse me." Link stopped her. "Sorry to bother you, but do you know where we can find Sailly?"
The girl rolled her eyes and directed them to where they should go. After they left, Zelda spoke up.
"That girl was really rude. I wonder why..."
"She's probably jealous of Sailly," Link answered.
The place that the girl told them to go was the chamber where Sailly gave them the key piece. That was weird, why would she be there? They walked in and heard sobbing.
"Oh no..."
They took a step forward and saw Sailly sitting against the wall crying her eyes out.
"Sailly?" Link called to her. She looked up and saw them.
"Link! Zelda!" she wiped the tears from her eyes and ran to them. She embraced them in a hug.
"Sailly, why were you crying?"
She looked away. "It's nothing..."
"Oh please, do you really think we're going to buy that? There's obviously a reason you were crying."
"I don't want to be a handful..." Her eyes watered more and a tear rolled down her cheek.
"You're not, just tell us, please. It's not good to be bottling it in."
"Fine. ...They're still bullying me."
"What?! But you know how to swim now!"
"I told them, I even showed them my swimming skills. They just said that I was a loser and I'll always be a loser even if I know how to swim."
"These girls are terrible!" Zelda exclaimed.
Sailly wiped another tear. "It's okay, I'll be fine. It's nice to see you guys again."
"Listen Sailly, we will not, most definitely not let you stay like this," Link said.
"What are you gonna do about it? There's nothing."
"No, there has to be something." Suddenly, Link got an idea that seemed perfect. "Hey! How about we take you to Hyrule with us? You can live there! The Zoras are very nice in Hyrule, you won't have this problem!" Link assured her.
"I couldn't..."
"No, we insist!"
"Really?" Her eyes were filled with hope.
"Yes, you will be so much happier. And we just can't stand it, such a nice girl like you getting bullied, it's not fair. And I'll do everything in my power to fix it."
"Thank you so much." She really meant it. "But what about my dad?"
"Explain the situation to him. He can come with you."
Sailly smiled. "Okay."
"You talk to your dad, we'll come back later."
They said goodbye and went over to Goron City. Link and Zelda asked for directions and were guided to Derry and Derby's room.
"Hey guys," Link said.
Derry and Derby jumped up and looked so excited once they heard his voice.
"LINK! ZELDA!" they cheered and hugged them.
"Did you get your key?" Derby asked.
"Yep. We're going back to Hyrule."
They pouted. "So we're never going to see you again? I guess this means we're just going to be bored every day with no one for company but ourselves..."
"Link?" Zelda called. "Do you think we can bring them to Hyrule with us as well?"
"That's actually a good idea. We could. Just like it was for Sailly, if they come to Hyrule with us they will probably make a lot of friends with the Gorons there."
"Wait, Sailly is going with you to Hyrule?" Derry asked with a smile on his face.
"Yeah, they're still bullying her here," Link explained.
"WHAT?! Those stupid blind people who don't notice how awesome she is!" Derry grunted.
"That's why we're taking her. Do you guys want to come too?"
"Sure! If it's not a hassle!"
"Definitely not! Now let's go back to Zora Village and get the answer from Sailly."
Derry and Derby packed their bags and left with them.
At Zora Village:
Sailly ran to them with her luggage in her hands. She had packed her bags so they guessed that she was able to come.
"My dad said-" She looked at them then noticed the twins. "Derry! Derby!"
They blushed. "H-hi Sailly..." they said in unison.
Link and Zelda chuckled.
"My dad said that I can come with you guys and he's going to catch up with me in a few days!" Sailly said with a huge smile.
"That's great, now let's go!" Zelda exclaimed.
They left the village and were at Levitia Field.
"Goodbye Levitia..." Link said.
They went back to the city they were in when they first entered Levitia, then went through the metal door. They went down all the staircases until they reached the lowest floor, then went through the wooden door, which led them to a dark room.
"We have to climb up..." Link pulled out a rope and threw it up to a sharp point above. They all climbed the rope and made it up.
"We're in the woods, the passage to all those worlds," Zelda stated.
After two days of traveling (with stops to eat and sleep), they were finally out of the woods. They all socialized and it was really fun.
"Oh, it's time to swim," Zelda said.
"Wait, if they have their bags, how are they going to swim with them?" Link asked.
"Hmm, well I could put a spell on the bags to shrink them..." Zelda answered.
"Yeah, do that!"
Zelda did the spell and they entered the water.
"I just want to let you guys know that you'll be swimming for the whole day."
With that, they kept going and when they were done they came out from the water and Link smiled.
"We're back in Hyrule! This is Lake Hylia," Link told them.
"Home sweet home." Zelda smiled.
"Yeah, I've got to admit. I did get a bit homesick."
"It's scary..." Derby said.
Lake Hylia was dark, cloudy, and it had many monsters.
"Is it always like this?" Sailly asked in a frightened voice.
"Oh, no... That's just because of Ganon and Moraj. Once we defeat them Hyrule will be beautiful again. Right now, we need to find a safe place for you to stay." They took Sailly to Zora's domain and found a nice little place for her, she had a room and everything. The Zora King was so nice to do that for them. Then they took Derry and Derby to Goron City and found a room for them.
"Listen, we'll be back, but right now... We have to fight Ganon and Moraj. Tonight, we will end this all." Link said to them.
Link and Zelda found their way to the castle that Ganondorf and Moraj lived in. It was even scarier that Jarom's castle. Just the atmosphere around it and being there was haunted and it gave them chills.
They went to the door and Link took out the key, he put it in the lock and the door opened.
"Finally, we're going to finish this," Zelda said.
They walked in and went up many staircases.
"Ah, Ganondorf's specialty: staircases that seem as though they never end," Link joked. Zelda laughed, and they continued going up the stairs.
After what seemed like hundreds of stairs, they reached the main room, which Ganon and Moraj were in.
"Hey Moraj, looks like your brother didn't do a very good job at dealing with them," Ganon said.
"Oh shut up! I should have known that the weakling known as, I hate to even say it, my brother wouldn't have been able to do it," Moraj replied.
"Yeah, and now he's dead!" Link yelled, catching their attention.
"So he tried to kill you but failed, this time I will kill you, and I will succeed!" Moraj yelled.
Moraj was intimidating, but Link didn't let that get to him.
"Right," Link said sarcastically.
"I've known this kid for two minutes and I already don't like him," Moraj said to Ganondorf.
"Link, Zelda, we meet again. Don't think that I forgot about what you did to me," Ganon said powerfully.
"That's what happens to bad guys," Zelda answered.
"Moraj, I know you want to deal with them. But I have been holding a grudge against these two for years, and I won't be satisfied until I kill them," Ganon explained.
"Very well, I will let you fight them first," Moraj responded.
Ganondorf walked over to them and began to shoot magic balls at Link. The first one came and Link hit it back at him with his sword. They continued to have that fight, in which they just slash the magic ball back at each other until one loses and gets hurt.
When Ganondorf lost, Zelda shot a light arrow at him, which paralyzed him for a short period of time. Link ran over to him and swung his sword at Ganondorf.
The cycle kept repeating itself.
"Really Ganondorf? This is the exact same fight as last time's. Couldn't you be more original?" Link asked. "You lost that fight, remember? And you're going to lose it again this time."
"No I won't! Because I am much stronger now!" Ganondorf said.
The fight continued like that and Link beat Ganondorf.
"No way! Again? I won't stand for this! I'm going into my next form!" Ganondorf shouted, until Moraj did something shocking.
"Hush, you weakling. You really are nothing but a loser. Shame on you, you should be devastated. I no longer have any use for you." With that, Moraj stabbed him right in the chest. Ganon sputtered out a few last words.
"W-what? I-I thought we...Y-you traitor!" Ganondorf closed his eyes and was now dead. Zelda gasped.
"Why are you so surprised?" Moraj asked.
"Y-you just killed your own comrade!" Zelda raged.
"Comrade?" Moraj scoffed. "He was only an annoying pest that kept clinging to me. I was too good for him. That's why I have no shame in killing him, I mean, he was weak, he couldn't even kill you two."
"You're seriously underestimating us!" Link exclaimed.
"And I hate your way of thinking, you monster!" Zelda yelled.
"Whatever, are you ready for the real battle?"
"Bring it on!"
Moraj turned into a giant beast. His weak spot was his tail. He charged at them, and they dodged it. But with his two horns, he picked up Zelda with one. She screamed, as she was hanging from one of the horns.
Link shot an arrow at his eye, and that caused Moraj to fall back, which made Zelda fall off. Link ran over and caught her before she hit the ground.
"Thanks Link," she said.
Link nodded and did a sneak attack then hit his tail. Moraj was able to breathe out ice, fire, and poison. He froze Link into an ice cube, and Zelda had to melt him with her fire magic. He also gave them both a few burns, but it wasn't too serious. The poison was the bad thing. If they inhaled it, they would be affected by it severely. Zelda blew it away with a wind spell, and she blew it back to him. He inhaled his own poison and that took some damage on him.
After a continuous cycle of that, Moraj was finally defeated. He turned back into his normal self, not the beast. And Link delivered the final blow on him.
"CURSE YOU!" Were Moraj's last words before he died.
"He was really hard to fight!" Zelda said.
"Yeah!" Link agreed. "But it's all over now. No more tiring work, we can finally relax!" Link smiled.
"I know, finally. I have so much less stress now. And it feels like a burden has been lifted."
They smiled and left the castle. Hyrule was back to normal. The sun shined brightly on them and a rainbow appeared. Everything was finally over. After the battle, they went back to Derry, Derby, and Sailly. They all hung out and promised to meet again later. Link realized something, he had to tell Zelda how he felt about her...
The next day, at Zelda's courtyard:
Link gathered up all his courage and entered the courtyard with a rose in his hand, he hid it behind his back. Zelda turned around and saw him.
"Hey Link!" she laughed. "So we're back to what it used to be now! Having fun hanging out every day!"
Link chuckled awkwardly. "Yeah..."
'Pull yourself together!" he thought.
"So, what do you want to do now?"
"Well...I wanted to talk to you about something..." He approached her, and was now right in front of her.
"Sure, what is it? I'm all ears."
Link took a deep breath, this was going to be hard.
"Um, Zelda...this whole time that I've known you, I've been hiding something from you..."
She raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
"I didn't tell you because, to be honest, I was scared of what you would say."
"Link, whatever it is, I will be reasonable."
"Okay." he let out a deep breath. "I kinda...well I, I...I have a...a" he kept stuttering. Zelda waited patiently.
"I- uh, may have...a crush...on you," he mumbled. "Goddesses, I'm being a coward right now. I'm sorry. I want to tell you that, I have a... crush on you." he managed to get out. Then he gave her the rose.
Before he let Zelda speak, he continued to talk. "I've felt this way since the first day I met you. You probably don't feel the same way, and if you don't, I still want to be friends. I just don't want things to be awkward between us. I like you, a lot and and-" he continued rambling. Zelda smiled.
"Aw Link, you don't know how long I've been waiting for you to say that, and secretly hoping for you to do it..."
Link was in surprise. "W-wait, you like me back?"
Zelda didn't say a word, instead she leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips. After a few seconds, she pulled away.
"Does that answer your question?" She smiled.
Link felt like the happiest man on earth, he smiled widely and pulled her into a hug.
"Today is the best day of my life," He admitted. She hugged him back.
"Mine too."
About a week later, Derry, Derby, and Sailly were told to go to Lon Lon Ranch. They met Malon there, and talked a bit. Shortly after, Link and Zelda walked into the ranch holding hands.
Malon squealed. "Link! Did you? You know..." Malon asked super excitedly.
"Yes Malon, I confessed. Zelda and I are together now." Link smiled and gave Zelda a peck on the cheek.
"Awwww! You guys are SOOO cute!"
"FINALLY!" Derby yelled.
"It's about time!" Derry added.
"Yeah!" Sailly agreed.
"Wait what?" Zelda asked incredibly confused.
"Listen Zelda, Link came to me and told me he had a crush on you, and I told him to spit it out and tell you! I've been waiting for him to do that for like forever now!" Malon explained happily.
"Yeah! And it was so obvious Link had a huge crush on you! Everyone could tell except you!" Derry exclaimed.
Zelda blushed. "Oh you guys are exaggerating, I'm sure that it wasn't obvious."
"Are you kidding me?" Sailly said. "Even the dumbest man on earth would be able to tell that Link has a crush on you!"
Zelda's cheeks turned into a deeper colour of red.
"I was a nervous wreck, okay? Cut me some slack!" Link defended himself.
"Stating the obvious much?" Sailly said.
"Oh, Sailly, let him have some pride." Zelda laughed.
"Fine fine! That's no fun!" Derry argued.
"Anyway," Link changed the topic. "How are you all doing?"
"I'm good," Malon answered.
"What about you Sailly? How are the Zoras here?" Zelda asked.
"Oh they're so nice and welcoming! It's only been a week and I already have so many friends! Thank you so much for bringing me here! I've never felt so loved before, it's amazing," Sailly exclaimed.
"Not a problem, we're happy everything worked out for you. What about you Derry, Derby? Did you guys make any friends yet?"
"Plenty! We're so much happier here! Thank you," Derry told them.
"That's good to hear."
"Okay, I'm not done fangirling over Link and Zelda's relationship!" Malon whined.
Zelda chuckled. "Malon..."
"What? You guys are adorable!"
"Thank you," Link said.
"Can you two kiss for us?" Malon asked.
"Really Malon?"
"Pleaaaaaaase?" She pleaded.
Zelda rolled her eyes and laughed lightly. "Fine."
Link pulled her in, Zelda wrapped an arm around Link's neck and gave him a gentle quick kiss.
"Again! And longer this time!"
"Malon!" Link yelled playfully.
"I'm sorry! It's just too cute!"
They shrugged it off then dealt with more of Malon's fangirling. Everyone was very happy and Link promised himself that he would not go on another adventure for a long time.
