Chapter 20 – New case
Maura woke up in bed next to Jane, she smiled looking at Jane sleeping she looked so peaceful and to her delight Jane didn't have a nightmare throughout the night. Maura moved towards Jane and snuggled up to her, Jane stirred but smiled knowing whose hands were around her and she herself snuggled deeper into Maura.
"I love you." Maura whispered in Jane's ear,
Jane opened her eyes and turned to face Maura smiling she kissed Maura on the lips and replied,
"I love you too Maura, so much more than you love me." Jane stuck her tongue out at Maura.
"Jane that is scientifically incorrect you cannot love…" Jane cut off Maura finishing her sentence by kissing her again and deepening the kiss this time.
Maura laughed and shook her head she stood up to go to the bathroom to take a shower and before leaving she turned around to Jane,
"But if it was true then there's no doubt I love you so much more." Maura winked and headed towards the shower leaving Jane chuckling.
"God I do love that woman."
Jane thought to herself, she got herself out of bed and started tidying around her apartment and made a coffee for herself and Maura she was sitting down reading the newspaper. Jane was so grateful that herself and Maura weren't arguing anymore, sure they still had some issues to deal with but this time Jane was going to give Maura some time. Addressing the issues with herself, Jane had promised that she would get through them and on a positive note she knew she didn't have a nightmare last night so it was a start. Both women needed to realise that they made it through what happened to them and that they were two strong people. Besides which they were both back at work today and they hadn't really spoken about it they both knew of course.
Maura made her way out of the bathroom in just a little towel barley covering her and Jane eyes lost interest in the paper instantly.
"Babe you know when you walk around like that I can't control myself around you." Jane said while walking over to Maura.
"Mm I thought as much maybe that was the plan" Maura teased as she trailed her fingers up Jane's body.
Jane leaned in the kiss Maura but was stopped by Maura's hand,
"Later Jane we need to get ourselves ready for work remember? We're back today."
Jane groaned,
"Doctor Isles you're a tease and yes don't remind me I was beginning to enjoy our time off a little too much."
Maura smiled and agreed with Jane and left to get changed, it was going to be a tough day for the both of them going back to work probably having Frost, Korsak and Frankie keeping an eye on them both making sure they were okay. Jane was waiting for Maura checking her watch, she always wondered what Maura was doing I mean Maura was the most beautiful woman Jane knew with or without makeup, doing her hair etc. Jane was about to see what Maura was doing when Maura came out of Jane's bedroom she looked stunning as always and Jane smiled,
"Thought you got lost their babe, you look so fucking beautiful I could take you right here." Jane teased and she noticed the flushed cheeks coming from Maura.
"Language Jane and I wish you would but can't be late on our first day back." Maura breathed out.
Jane responded by seductively leaning over to Maura's ear and saying,
"Mm good point baby but I would make you cum so hard and enjoy you screaming my name." Jane added whilst smirking seeing the reaction it gave Maura.
"Jane." Maura breathed out before exiting through the front door, Jane just smiled to herself she did love teasing Maura and was sure it was the same for Maura teasing Jane.
They both got into Jane's car and made their way to work, halfway to their destination Maura had an idea on how to get Jane back for her teasing she smirked to herself knowing what she was going to do. Maura gently and ever so slowly reached her hand across to Jane's thigh and started caressing Jane's thigh moving higher and higher with every touch. Jane gulped as she stared at the road ahead of her,
"Uh Maur what are you doing? I'm driving here." Jane questioned,
"I thought you were meant to be the Detective here, just concentrate on the road beautiful." Maura replied coolly.
Of course what Maura was doing was dangerous but both admitted to themselves it was a huge turn on so Maura carried on. Maura's hand found its way into Jane's trousers and she was met instantly with wetness and she groaned, moving her fingers she found Jane's clit and massaged her fast. Jane's breathing became laboured and Maura herself was growing wetter and wetter by touching Jane and seeing the reaction. Jane gripped on to the steering wheel with force she was close she could feel it and with one last stroke from Maura, Jane blissfully came. Jane struggled to keep her eyes open during her orgasm and had to stop the car on the side of the road, desire was matched in her eyes by Maura and they smiled at each other.
"God Maura that was so hot, I will totally get you for that."
Maura nodded she was afraid to say anything as she knew she would take Jane again and they had to get to work, so Jane started the car again after controlling her breathing.
They arrived at BPD and were greeted warmly by first Jane's Mother Angela who smothered both women in hugs until Jane squeaked out that she couldn't breathe and her Mother let go.
"So I can still smile from you both does that mean things went well last night?" Angela asked,
"Yes Ma we're still working on some things but were definitely okay."
"Good I'm so glad." Angela pulled them both in for a hug again and Maura laughed gleefully.
It was common knowledge to everyone at BPD that Jane and Maura were now together most of them were congratulating them and saying about time, others they showed their distaste but Jane and Maura ignored them and they couldn't be happier right now. It felt good actually for the two of them to be back at work; first Jane had to see Cavanaugh before she went to see what new case the team was working on. Jane said goodbye to Maura before heading into the office and Maura left to go to the morgue.
"Good to see you back Jane." Cavanaugh said and it shocked Jane that he was being this nice maybe he was getting nicer in his old age and Jane smirked to herself.
"Is something funny Rizzoli?" Cavanaugh asked confused,
"No sir sorry, it's good to be back I just want to get stuck in again." Jane replied.
"Okay Rizzoli no problem but let me know if there's anything I can do for you."
"Thanks sir." Jane said as she stood up and left, that went more than okay and Jane was glad. Glad that he didn't push her or ask difficult questions. She made her way to her desk and was welcomed back by Frost, Korsak and her brother Frankie.
"Hey Rizzoli great to see you back" Frost shouted,
"Hey sis." Frankie added.
Jane said her hello's and walked to Korsak,
"Hey Jane nice to see you back how are you and the Doc doing?"
"Were doing okay thanks."
Jane's answer was short and nothing more than what Korsak expected he would get as an answer he knew she didn't like talking deeply about things. The team got back to work at once whilst Frost went through the latest case they were working on with Jane, the case involved a seventeen year old boy who was shot and killed it looked like a gang-related crime and Jane got to work straight away.
Maura was getting settled back in quickly and was up to speed with the latest case involving the young boy; she had examined the body and was waiting on reports. Jane hadn't been down to see her as yet not that she minded she knew how busy Jane would be being the first day back, to keep her mind occupied Maura started shoe shopping. Maura was looking trough pages and pages of shoes but she couldn't keep her mind on the computer instead it kept drifting thinking about herself and Jane and how happy she was at the moment, she had barely thought about what had happened that terrible night and she knew they were battling through it. She loved Jane with all her heart and instead of shoe shopping Maura decided to get Jane a gift something to say 'thank you' for being there for her and for simply loving her. Maura was browsing and she found it the perfect gift a simple but eye catching bracelet and she wanted it engraved on the inside. She saw it was at local jewellers and got herself ready to go and buy it when her phone beeped it was a text from Jane.
Hey babe, fancy lunch? Xxxxxxx
Will meet you in the café in 10 need to go and get something. Xxxxxxxx
Jane screwed her face up, what did Maura need to get? But she agreed anyway she got up from her desk and stretched her legs and made her way down to the café and prepped herself for another bone crushing hug from her Mother hoping Maura would be quick.
Maura entered the jewellers and chose the bracelet she wanted and brought it luckily enough they were not too busy and they could engrave there and then for her so gave them the message and they worked on it. She had a feeling she would be more than ten minutes so she sent Jane another texting saying she wouldn't be long and that it would be worth it adding more mystery for Jane. They had finished the bracelet and put it in a box and handed it Maura who looked at it and smiled with delight it was beautiful and she was sure Jane would love it. It was a silver bracelet reading on the inside,
'With all my heart I will love you forever and always'
Maura loved it and as she entered the police department she found Jane sitting drinking a coffee on her own she made her way over and gave Jane a hug kissing her ever so slightly on the neck and Jane shivered.
"Hey I've missed you today." Maura admitted,
"Me too babe I've been meaning to pop down and see you but it's a busy with this case."
Maura completely understood and didn't question Jane, she ordered a coffee herself and she could see Jane about to ask the question of where she had been so to stop her handed her the box.
"I wanted to get you something to say thank you for being there for me and because I love you more than anything."
Jane beamed at Maura as she opened the box she gasped as she took the bracelet out of the box and looked at it in detail and she saw the message inside; Jane's eyes started welling up no one had ever brought her anything like this.
"It's beautiful Maura but you didn't have too."
"I know I didn't have too but I wanted too there's a difference I'm glad you like it Jane."
"I don't like it Maura I love it." Jane replied smiling.
The two shared conversation whilst they ate lunch with Jane wearing her bracelet, they had finished their lunch and stood up to leave when Frost came rushing in,
"Rizzoli we've got another shooting."
Okay so going to go into a case now apologies if the detail is not correct I don't do this for a living but I hoped you liked the new chapter will get more drama on the go soon so hang in there and keep reading!
