Rie's POV:

It was Sunday night, Oliver and I's third day of training and I feel like something is bugging him. I tried to ignore it, but he's lashing out on me and I don't think he realize it. "You know Oliver, you are kinda harsher to me than usual and you are not suggesting what I should improve nor criticize the mistakes I'm doing right now. What's up?" I said to him. He stopped with our hand to hand combat and strode to the chair as he reached for his towel and wiped his sweat away, "Last night, someone shot the man I was after." He started "I was able to get a hold of the bullet and found out that it was poisoned with Curare, which is Deadshot's MO aka Floyd Lawton." He showed me a picture of a man while saying that. "So you plan to hunt him down?" I asked him, "yes Rie." He answered while putting a shirt on, "what's your plan?" I asked him, "well that was what I was thinking as to why I was so distracted earlier" he replied to me, "Go. I know your ass is itching to get out of here." I said, "but I said that I would teach you…" I cut him off and said "I could use a break too you know. This past few days has been hell in the office and it would be nice to go home and get some rest. Go do your stuff but do pass by my room before you go to bed tonight okay?" I said while gathering my things. I was actually glad that we would have a break since we've been doing this from 7:30 am and it was 3:30 pm already. My body was aching and I was too sleepy since mom and I had a movie marathon last night. I kissed his cheek and went out the door, with a wave I said "Be safe!"

It was Monday morning and I heard some commotion downstairs and proceeded to the family room wherein I saw Oliver, Diggle, mom, Thea and 2 police officers. "what's going on?" I asked no one in particular. No one paid attention to me and I could feel too much tension in the room which the officers took as a cue to leave. "What you care about me now? After being so busy for the past 2 weeks?" Thea quipped at me. "Hey! Don't talk to her like that. It wasn't her fault you were drunk last night and decided to fool around and steal in boutiques and get caught." Oliver said to Thea in a manner that he was grinding his teeth together. Thea just rolled her eyes and turned to mom, "can I go to my room now?" she asked, "No you have to go to school" mom said , "I was thinking of calling in a sick day" Thea said and mom relented. The proceeded to go up stairs after telling Oliver that he looks like crap. "Mom you do know that Thea is testing you right?" Oliver asked, "Yes I know, but it is better to humor your sister when she gets like this though" she said "well mom when I was younger and have days like this, I needed more parenting than you humoring me." with that Oliver walked away. "This day just gets better and better." Mom told me while she headed to the stairs too. I decided to eat breakfast then and go to work.

It was 9:30 pm and I was still in the office. I started gathering things when my phone rang, I checked the caller ID and saw that it was Thea. I answered it and said "Hi Thea, what's up?", but a different voice answered me and said "Hi Rie it's Gretchen one of Thea's friends. We're here at the Lounge Club but Thea have drank way too much. Do you think you could pick her up? Because after what happened today I don't think Mrs. Queen would be fond of Thea like this.", "just keep her entertained for awhile and I'll be there immediately." I said as I snapped my phone shut.

I drove as fast as I could and I saw that Thea was there arguing with Oliver, "Yes Oliver, Tommy and Laurel have been sleeping together while you're gone." I heard Thea say to Oliver. I could see Tommy and Laurel get awkward so I decided to interrupt, "Thea that is enough. You already had too much to drink…" I started to say before she cut me off "Oh hey look! The princess has arrived. What are you doing here? After two weeks of ignoring me you decided to show up right now? While I am having fun? How about no. LEAVE ME ALONE." She said. I was getting really pissed off at her, "you know what? I am sick of you seeking attention Thea. Our family doesn't need this right now! You think that the world has crashed down on you? Well newsflash sweety, someone had it way much harder than you!" Thea snorted and said "OUR family? Please Rie stop living a lie, you are not part of this family as much as you'd like to think, someone got it much harder than me? Really? Who? You? What, because you lost Oliver, Dad and Sarah? They weren't even related to you." With that she walked away and by then I was crying I could feel Tommy pulling me towards him but our attention was caught by Max Fuller, "well well if it isn't the three musketeers", with that his bodyguards grabbed us and dragged us behind a curtain. Max suddenly hit Oliver, he asked his bodyguard to get Oliver up and rounded on him. Tommy started to say 'get away from him' and went in front of Oliver. "Get away from him Merlyn this isn't your fight" Max said, "You'll get through me first before you get to him" Tommy answered while I just shook my head 'this boys are insane' I thought. Oliver was staring at me and I know what he was thinking, he wasn't going to fight back that much so that his secret won't be revealed, hence he is saying that I should not be worried if he got hurt. I rolled my eyes, when suddenly the guy in the middle pushed Tommy and then Tommy retaliated with a punch, I tapped the one near me at his back and as he turned around I punched him in the face and kicked his stomach and giving another punch in the face while Oliver handled the other one. "Well is this over Max? or you're going to asked your boys to pound on me next?" we heard Laurel ask as we all stopped and saw that Max was on the floor. Max stood up and started saying that we are all banned from his club.

After that, Laurel went home while we went to Big Belly Burgers wherein Diggle took us to take care of the boys cuts. He handed me an ice pack for Oliver, while I clean up his wounds. "Where did you learn to fight like that Rie?" Tommy asked me, "What? Your age is actually catching up to you that you forgot that my girl best friend's dad is a cop, that he insisted that she take self defense classes and my parents thought it was a great idea that time too. Oh! And did you forget that one of my outlet when Oliver was gone was actually kickboxing? Or that dada and I actually do fencing? " I replied to him. He rolled his eyes and said "I remember that Rie but that was a decade ago, by now you should be a bit rusty." "since Mr. Harrison…" I shrugged then continued "I started to take self defense classes again." I said, Tommy nooded.

We continued cleaning everyone's cut and then I said "Tommy, do you think dada will mind if I stay with you two for awhile?" I felt Oliver stiffen beside me and then Tommy said "No, I don't think dad would mind Rie. I mean it has been too long since you last spent time with us." Tommy said, "yup, I haven't spent time with you guys like 3 or 4 months I guess. I've been so distracted with Oliver being home and the office." I said then sighed. I felt Oliver hold my hand and say "I hope you don't take at heart what Thea said earlier Rie. She was angry and drunk..." I cut him off and said "I understand her Oliver you don't have to explain. Ofcourse it hurts, I'll get over it I guess. Plus I haven't spent time with dada and Tommy lately. Ever since I got back from college I find time to hang out with them atleast a week every month or something like that. I guess after what happened, I should stay clear for a while. Sometimes Thea needs to learn a lesson the hard way." I kissed Oliver's forehead and said "don't worry about me, I'll be fine, Tommy will be there. right Tom-tom?" I said looking at Tommy. "Ofcourse. But Rie I have to agree with Oliver on this one, we might not be related in blood, but that itself doesn't define what a family is." Tommy stood up and sat beside me, "it is about how much we love and care for each other, the respect we have for one another and the extent of what we'll do for the good of the other." Oliver continued for Tommy and suddenly I was squished between the two of them and heard a click of a camera and saw Carly, Diggle's ex sister in law with a camera on her hand chuckling "well Dig, even though I hate your job and the people you work with, it is the first time I saw two billionaires actually caring for someone besides themselves." we all smiled at her while Tommy brought his phone out and asked Tommy to take a picture of us again. Carly counted to three and suddenly I felt Oliver and Tommy's lips on my cheeks which made me smile wider. "Thank you." The three of us said to Carly as she handed Tommy's phone and went back to cleaning their wounds. "So I guess it is settled then, I'll be with the Merlyn's for a week or more" I said smiling "go ahead of me Tom-tom so they could prepare. I'll just pack some clothes and then head there okay?" I said. We all started to head to our own cars and drove home.

I immediately went to my room and started packing when I felt someone behind me. "It's not nice to sneak up on someone Oliver," i said. I felt him wrap his arms around me, he placed his head on the crook of my neck and said "please take care of yourself Rie." I laughed his worries and turned to him, I placed my arms around his neck and said "Oliver, you will be seeing me on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, you will be able to check me up then." I kissed his cheek and finished packing. "besides, I won't be that far." I said while heading out of my room bringing the smaller bag and leaving the big bag for Oliver to bring. "Tell mom of my whereabouts in the morning okay?" I gave him a hug. As I was placing the bag in my car, Thea arrived. "Where are you going?" She asked me, I shrugged, she sounded a bit sober now and I went to the drivers seat while Oliver closed the back door of my pick up. As I was about to close my door Thea stopped it and said "look Rie I'm sorry..." She started, I shook my head and said "Save it Thea." I looked at Oliver and saw him pull Thea back, Oliver bent down and said "you should talk to her you know?", I smiled at him and said "I know, and I will when she is in the right state of mind. Now I have to go and I'll see you when I see you. Be safe and stop worrying about me, I'll call you when something comes up." He closed my door and watched me drive away.

I reached the Merlyn's mansion and pressed the doorbell, Tommy opened the door and grabbed the bags in my hand. "Thank you for letting me stay" I said, "it is our pleasure Rie, we missed you here." dada said behind me, I turned and hugged him "Tommy filled me on what happened, are you okay?" he asked me while rubbing my back, all I could do was nod and sigh "don't let her words get to her Rie." Dada said while pulling me from him and placing his hands on both of my shoulders. He kissed my forehead and then he led me to my room. "You two rest okay?" He said and got out of the room. "Tommy, I know that you're trying to get serious with Laurel, but would you mind if you sleep with me tonight?" I said, Tommy chuckled and said "no, I missed our sleep overs. Go change, I'll wait here."

I got out of the bathroom and settled myself beside Tommy and reached the switch of the bedside lamp. Tommy hugged me and said "that was the worse way that your best friend find out that you're sleeping with his ex." I laughed at him ,removed my glasses and said "well I told you before that you should talk to him before someone else would. Now, you should really talk to him Tommy, though I know that he will understand." as I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
