OK, chapter 20! Finally got it done. I apologize is it's out of character or cheesy, but I'm still inexperienced in writing romance. But I tried my best!

Gray's body shook violently. He opened his eyes in surprise.

"Finally!" Natsu whined

Gray repositioned himself in the chair where he had previously fallen asleep.

"Any news?" he asked

Lucy, Erza, Natsu, Levy, Gajeel and Gray sat in a waiting room at the hospital awaiting news on all the girls.

"Well," Lucy spoke up "Lya is holding up OK, they were able to neutralize the poison. Mi is with her. All the other girls were in mild condition, only a few needed surgeries. But Aoi and Juvia were by the far worse off; we still have no news about them."

"Dammit." Gray muttered

Gajeel ignored the conversation and stood away from the group. He only stared at the door, waiting for someone to come through it. He felt that if he stared hard enough then someone would. He concentrated a little harder, almost squinting him eyes. And the door flew open. Gajeel blinked a few times before returning back to his normal state. A nurse approached the group.

"Are you waiting for Juvia Lockser?" she asked

Gray shot up from his chair.

"Yes."

The nurse looked down at her clipboard.

"She has three broken ribs, broken toes, a broken ankle, and scars from what we conclude were from a whip." She took a pause before continuing, "But the worse was a wound in her stomach, it was really deep and she lost quite a bit of blood so..."

"Oh, no." Lucy whined

Levy and Lucy hugged each other.

"You should learn to let people finish." the nurse interrupted "So… make sure when you see her, don't cause too much stress."

The nurse lead them to a small hospital room, she opened up the door and let them in. In a white hospital gown Juvia laid in a bed. Her long hair was loose around her shoulders. She looked up and saw the group walking towards her. Lucy and Levy were first to her side.

"Juvia!" Lucy said

"You're OK!" Levy exclaimed

Juvia nodded,

"Juvia is fine, just a little sore."

Erza and Natsu approached next,

"It is good to see that you are OK." Erza stated

Juvia smiled in response.

"Don't make us worry again Rainwoman." Gajeel said as he put his hand on her head

Lucy leaned in and whispered to her,

"But one of us was more worried than the rest."

Juvia felt herself blush when she realized who Lucy was talking about. Erza grabbed Gajeel and Natsu by the back of their shirts and started to drag them out of the room.

"Let's go get some cake to celebrate!" she stated

"But..." Natsu started

Despite their protests Erza dragged them out of the room. Lucy walked out next giving thumbs up to Juvia. Levy also whispered to Juvia,

"Good Luck."

She then left the room as well. All that was left was Gray. He slowly approached her and sat on the chair next to her bed.

"Thank you." she stated

Gray was taken aback by her statement.

"Why are you thanking me?" he asked

"Gray-sama rescued Juvia."

"Not quick enough."

"Yes," Juvia said sternly

"But you're very injured."

"But Juvia is still here."

Gray couldn't help but smirk. She stared at him with innocent blue orbs. She had gone through so much but still was able to smile at him. But something about her smile was different; it seemed to have a hint of sadness, almost empty. Juvia pointed at Gray.

"W-what?" he asked

"Does Gray-sama remember?" she asked

There was so much to remember that he couldn't be sure what she was talking about. Juvia giggled at his confusion.

"Gray-sama carried Juvia like a princess."

Gray looked away to hide his blush.

'Why is she bringing this up now?' he asked himself

"Will Gray-sama do Juvia a favor?" she asked

Gray directed his gaze back to her.

"Yeah." He said a little nervous

Juvia pointed to the wheelchair in the corner.

"Juvia wishes to see the other girls."

Gray stood up and walked towards the corner. But there was a knocking sound on the door. Gray turned around to see a group of five girls walk in.

"Juvia are you OK?" one of the girls asked

"Rose, Lila, Elie, Hanna, Karrie!" Juvia exclaimed

The girls rushed over to the side of the bed.

"Did everyone make it out?" Juvia asked

"Yes, almost everyone is fine." Rose replied

"Almost?"

"There is still no news on Aoi."

Juvia looked down at her lap.

"But we came here to thank you." Karrie said

"What?" Juvia asked "Why do you want to thank Juvia?"
"Because when you told stories about your guild, you seemed so happy." Elie said "You gave us a little light."

"I was about to give up." Hanna confessed "But seeing you smiling and talking happily after everything they did to you physically, and mentally."

"Thank You Juvia, we won't forget you or Fairy Tail." Lila finished

The five girls said their goodbyes and left. Gray walked back over to Juvia.

"I knew about your physical scars, but what were they talking about when they said 'mentally'?" Gray asked

When Hanna spoke up, his heart skipped a beat. He knew that she must have seen some messed up stuff, but how bad was it? Juvia didn't raise her head to look at him; the images of the two sisters ran through her head again. Juvia knew that she had to let that go, but it was hard. Gray noticed her looking troubled and sat down. He put his hand on top of hers and looked towards the ground, hiding his blush.

'What's wrong with me, this is the second time I've blushed.' he thought to himself.

"Good Job." he muttered

Juvia looked up at the same time as Gray and their eyes met. They stared at each other; Juvia felt her blush deepen in color.

BAM!

The door swung open and Natsu came marching in.

"Go Damn that Erza!" he yelled

Juvia and Gray turned their attention to Natsu, who was shortly followed by a troubled Lucy.

"Hey Flame Brain!" Gray yelled "Learn to knock!"

"You want to start something Ice Princess?" Natsu asked

Gray stood up and walked towards Natsu. They started arguing. Lucy walked over Juvias side.

"Sorry," she said "We kept him stalled as long as possible."

"Thank you Lucy." Juvia responded

Lucy smiled. There was another knock at the door, Gray and Natsu stopped fighting and Lucy got up to get the door. She let the group in. There were three people, they approached Juvia.

"Thank you for taking care of our guild mates." One of them said

Juvia smiled.

"I am an acquaintance of Rena. Noah is a friend of Lya and Kun is a friend of Aoi."

"May I ask who Rena is?" Juvia asked

"Why, she is the girl that looks like a mouse."

"You mean Mi?"

"Is that what she goes by now?"

Juvia nodded.

"But once again thank you." Lyas friend said

They left the room without another word. Juvia had to admit that the three mages gave off a cold aura. Natsu walked up to Juvia.

"Aoi was your friend right?' he asked

"Yes, she is Juvias friend." she responded

"Well, she is fine now."

"Really? That's great!"

"The doctor said that she had an illness that she had to take medicine for, and since she didn't take it, her condition wound up like it did."

Lucy grabbed Natsu hand, causing him to pause and stand still.

"We'll be leaving now. Get some rest." she said "Come on Gray."

She lead Natsu out of the room. Gray looked back at Juvia.

"I'll…we'll, be back soon." he said

Gray left the room , leaving Juvia alone. She laid back and closed her eyes. Juvia released the smile that felt as if it was plastered on her face. She was so happy to see her friends, her family. She knew that everyone was OK. A tear escaped and ran down her cheek. But why? Why? Why did she feel empty?

Has anyone read the newest Fairy Tail chapter yet? Man it was such a cliff hanger! And there was a nice Gruvia moment, it made me feel fuzzy inside.

Oh, and the five girls I made up just for this chapter. They aren't significant, but I wanted to show how much Juvia not giving up affected everyone else.
