Thanks for reading everyone! Hope you all enjoy this chapter and if you could spare a minute of your time to leave some feedback it'll mean a lot to me.
Thank you!
It was now late at night in the town of Jasper. James and Richard got take out and ate it in the car before heading to James' dome. Richard looked around him from the car window at the scenery of the town he called home. Nothing had changed much from what he remembered.
James pulled up on the side of the road near a dark alley way and beckoned Richard to follow him.
"I don't remember the hideout being here," he commented with narrowed brows.
"Had to move the gang after some prick tipped off the pigs. Not very pretty I'll admit, but it's the best area. No pigs or bothering intruders, I call it paradise." Richard screwed up his face a little but quickly wore a mask. He won't judge his ideal place or comment on the environment. However he was right about it being in an isolated area, and that was top priority than anything else.
They made their way down the darkened alley way and stroll up deeper into the surrounded abandoned buildings until they spotted a few young blokes sharing a joint. One of them heard the approaching steps and looked up to see the two intruders.
"Fuck off pricks if you know what's good for ya," Lucas, only in his early twenties and second man to Mark was not about to let these wannabees enter their little dome. James let out a heartily chuckle at the weak threat given.
"Always the clown, Lucas, or did you just more fucking stupid," his face now revealed under the one light from above the door. Lucas and the remaining three, Beau, Chase and Ty, immediately recognised his face once he stood under the flickering light.
"Shit, Boss, you're out?"
"Don't sound too disappointed," James pushed open the door without another word with Richard tailing behind him. Lucas quickly passed the two and ran into the next room where Mark was, most likely to tell him who he was only seconds from seeing. Others in the room were much surprised to see the old man back and out of the pits. Some even had the balls to come forward and fist pump their leader and a simple 'Welcome back' shake, while others remained in their spot, too scared to do anything. No one even really paid much attention to Richard, which he was glad for. He didn't need that kind of attention one bit, not right now at least. He'll make himself known when the time is time.
"Dad," Mark stood up from his chair with Lucas beside him, "the fuck are ya doing here?" It was no surprise to him he sounded rather annoyed at his presents.
"I own this joint, boy, now move the fuck away from my chair so I can sort out you're fucking mess, like I always have to."
Mark gave a hasty glare at his old man but didn't both arguing, knowing it'll be a fight hell lose. He noticed Richard and pointed him out. "Who's he?"
"A loyal friend and now my second man."
Richard never agreed on coming back to the gang or to become his second man. He said nothing though, and let James continue on without him objecting. He'll have a word with him afterwards about it.
Lucas looked after stunned hearing this. "B-but I'm the second man-"
"No, you're Mark's second man. You're still a little shit that gets on my nerve. Don't test me, boy!" Lucas didn't dare to open his mouth again and shrunk back behind his close friend.
James sat down in his chair with a heavy sigh and looked all around him to see everyone had gathered around the room. "Well, in my absence I'm noticed you've recruited a number of others, too young to my liking."
"They're loyal and help out making big money," Mark pointed out proudly.
"Yeah, greedy punks they are." James looked around himself and glanced at Richard before back at his son again. "Say, where's Sarah?"
The air in the room went cold and everyone glanced at one another, waiting to see who'll be the first to speak up. Mark fumed madly and shook his head.
"She's fucking gone. Not much of a loss I say." Richard knew this was part of the plan, to try and get the story out of them before anything else was told, but it was very difficult for him to contain his anger for the hateful words said about his chipmunk.
"Boy," James' tone was low and deadly, warning his boy to be careful with his words, "what do you mean she's gone?"
"I mean she's fucking dead." Mark didn't care what he said and was proud to be saying the words.
Both knew of her being dead, but that had to play along to see if they were the ones who were the cause of her death. "Boy, I want an explanation of why my favourite is dead?"
Hear the word favourite killed Mark on the inside. His dad always favoured Sarah over him growing up and that was one of the reasons he hated her so much. Why couldn't his own father just be proud of him for just once in his life? Much to everyone's surprise, someone else spoke up. It was Ty, Davy's brother.
"Boss, she fucking killed Davy, he was only eighteen!" James narrowed his eyes at the statement.
"Who da fuck is Davy?"
"He was Ty's lil brother," Mark went on to explain, thinking his old man was going to understand. "Sarah screwed up big time! She had one simple job and all shit went loose. Two days later she came back and without an apology and said she was fucking leaving, blabbed about being sick of all the shit and stuff. She was useless!"
"I don't give a fuck about that, I want to know how she got killed?!" James had enough of his boy's useless story and slammed his fist into the table out of annoyance. Richard was so close to losing it and felt his nails digging into his skin. "Did you kill 'er boy?!"
"NO!" Mark was fuming now at his dad. "We ran after her and the dumb bitch ran out onto the road before being run down by a car! She fucking deserved it!"
The punch came out of nowhere. Mark felt his nose crack and hit his head hitting hard on the ground and tried looking up with a low groan. Richard didn't want to hear anymore, he just wanted him to shut up. James did nothing but look down at his boy over the table with disappointment.
"I'm gonna let that slide because you were overdue for one of those," James now ignored his son's groans and leaned back into his chair. "Fuck off everyone, be back tomorrow evening. We're gonna be doing things my way again." He watched as Richard continued looming down at Mark with burning eyes and knelt down to him.
"You'll never talk shit of my daughter again," his words froze those around. He moved away without another word and back into his corner, his figure darkening in the shadows and predator eyes roving over each man in the room.
He'll find the one responsible, and he'll make them pay.
Decepticon Warship…
After the discovery of Nigthwatch being pregnant, Dreadwing and Knockout informed Megatron on the latest news. It was no surprise to him being casual about it, but to have their kind reproducing again after such a long time was comforting to some. The only one not too thrilled about it was Nightwatch, and she was carrying the sparkling. Bloodbloom kind of understood her reaction and was going to do whatever it took to help. For now she was to remain in Dreadwing's quarters for the time being to regain her strength once more. Even after locking herself away for a time she was still drained of her energy and experiencing some morning sickness. It surprised Bloodbloom that the symptoms were almost simular to humans, but found it easy as well to understand the pregnancy.
After they had left, Bloodbloom asked to be checked by Knockout. He was a bit taken back by her request and tried to explain it was fine but she wouldn't have it. So without much of a choice he did so, and it revealed she wasn't pregnant.
"See? Told you everything was fine," he almost sounded smug, making her roll her optics at him.
"It doesn't matter, there was still a chance."
"Have you never thought about being a mother?"
"Well, no, I mean maybe once in my life but I never predicted myself having a family, let alone being turned into a robotic alien." He chuckled lightly at her response.
"And now?"
"Knockout, what are the chances of me getting pregnant? I mean being turned and all, is there a possibility I can't?" He sighed and leaned against the berth she sat on.
"Maybe, but I can't answer that for sure. Only way we can find out is if we try."
"You want me to get pregnant?" He knew it was coming.
"Honestly, yes, to see if it was possible, than maybe our kind will have a chance again. I wouldn't mind having a little mech around us." Now she was surprised.
"Really? I didn't think you wanted any."
"What made you think that?"
"You never spoke of having any. Besides, I don't want any, at least not now. I'm still getting this life through my head."
"So one day?" He brought himself between her opened thighs and gave her the most annoying smug look.
"I don't know…I can't answer that, not now at least."
Knockout was disappointed at her answer. He stepped away with a fake smile and a nod. She knew he wasn't too happy with her answer and went to say something but he beat her too it.
"Alright, if that's what you want."
He turned away and went on with his business at a table, leaving her confused on the berth. He was a really confusing person and always left a lot on her mind. She hoped things would ease for them and forget about this.
The weeks go by and things seem to settle a bit after the awkwardness. They seemed to get over it and Knockout seemed himself, in a way. Than that day came what no one expected.
"Strange."
"What's strange?" Bloombloom came up beside Knockout who was examining the monitor. Knockout glanced at her without a word and directed to Megatron.
"Lord Megatron, it appears that Breakdown's signal has popped back online, albeit corrupted."
'Breakdown? As in Knokcout's comrade?' She thought to herself. Megatron thought over it for a moment.
"Investigate with caution. It may well be an autobot trick."
"That's just cruel if it is," she muttered. "Can I go with you?"
"Of course, I certainly hope it's no trick. Breakdown may act a brute, but he's a maestro behind a rotary buffer."
"I thought I was good at your rotary buffing?" She teased him a little which made him smirk at her. Megatron had overheard and glance over his shoulder over to them with annoyance. They left in a hurry, Bloodbloom's face plating heating up from embarrassment. What was wrong with her?
They emerged from the ground bridge with a small group of vehicons and stepped out into what looked like a warzone. Everything was blown up and in ruin. Bloodbloom didn't understand what had happened. Before anyone could question they heard approaching heavy steps and a bulky figure coming out of the thick smoke from the shed. Knockout was the first to acknowledge him.
"Breakdown, where have you…" The one he called Breakdown stopped and gazed over at them with his good optic and a strangely deadly looking pupil from the other. He spelt trouble all over. Bloodbloom had a horrible feeling this day was not going to be what Knockout had hoped for. "Breakdown, what happened to you?"
"Therein lies a tale which won't be nearly as interesting to Megatron as this." He showed them a large suitcase in his servo to them. "So, take me to your leader." His feral grin wasn't a good one, one with too much sickening madness that she didn't like. Almost reminded her of Mark when he was in one of his moods, which she never enjoyed.
No one knew what to do. Knockout stared and wondered what had happened to his closest friend. This wasn't the Breakdown he knew. Without much of a choice and to get to the bottom of all this they took him back to their warship.
Lucky for them, Megatron was having none of it when they returned with what they found.
"Knockout, what is this abomination?! And why have you brought it here?"
"I am Silas, as in cybernetic life augmented by symbiosis."
'Impressive title.' Bloodbloom thought sarcastically.
"I come with a proposition." Knockout growled lowly and activated once of his drills.
"This is the human who dissected Breakdown. Please, my liege, allow me to return the favour." Bloodbloom felt for him. Somehow, Silas was inside Breakdown, controlling his body and his mind being part of his own now. It sounded sick. She was grateful that isn't how she was created.
"I propose that you not overlook the one asset that provides Optimus Prime an advantage, at least on this world." Megatron curiously raised his optics.
"And that would be?"
"The human factor." Not impressive, to Megatron at least.
"Look around you, Silas! I command an army from a mighty warship. What could a human possibly offer?"
"I am no ordinary human, and this is no ordinary weapon. Damocles is particle-beam cannon so powerful it'll bring ruin to anything in its path."
'Well shit.' She didn't like the sound of that. Unfortunately it pleased Megatron way too much.
"A threat to anyone, anywhere on the planet."
"With pinpoint accuracy at the flick of a switch." Silas added.
"And what is it that you with in return?"
"Merely a place at the table."
'This cannot possibly end well.' She feared what they were going use to the weapon on first.
"That'll depend how successful you're weapon will be," she hoped that meant no, but who could tell coming from Megatron. "Knockout, leave us." She went to follow him but was stopped. "Not you, Bloodbloom. I want you to remain, so you can see just what we're capable of."
She's never really been away from Knockout, always at his side day and night. It felt weird to not have him around. Knockout looked like he wanted to protest but thought over it again and remembered to not back talk his leader. He gave her a tight smile and left, glancing over his shoulder one more time before he was gone.
"Silas, you and Bloodbloom share a kind of similarity." So that was her purpose to stay.
"And how is that?" He looked her up and down, judging her, and she lightly screwed her face up in disgust at him as any child would.
"She is an organic turned machine, created by our medic, and she has made some progress over her time here."
'We share nothing in common! He's more of a freak than I am.' She thought to herself, but really wanted to say it out loud.
"Is that so?" Silas held a not so friendly smile at her. "Well, I look forward to knowing more about her." She gave him the bird without any words and faced the monitor.
For a time they watched as the vehicon's advanced into a human base and not before long they were ambushed by the autobots.
"The autobots have arrived."
"Megatron, relax." Bloodbloom rolled her optics as Megatron glared at him.
"Lord Megatron." That wasn't the right answer.
"Rule number one, never tell him to relax." It was obvious, but not to Silas. He seemed to ignore her and carried on.
"Soundwave may need to download the code in order to remotely operated Damocles from here on your warship, but while jacked into the mainframe, Damocles is his to command." He turned to the console and activated something. Bloodbloom didn't like how this was going. She so wanted to prevent this, to spot the madness and prevent anything from her world to be destroyed.
His so called weapon must have been shot out of the airlock, because Megatron gave Soundwave the order over the com-link.
"Soundwave, prepare to beta test."
Bloodbloom could only watch from monitor as the beam was activated and directed itself to what appeared to be an autobot, one she's never seen before. Luckily, he jumped away from the vehicon he was fighting and it hit the drone, frying him to crust.
"Holy shit," she breathed out without thought. This was bad, worse than she thought. Of course though, Megatron was rather pleased with the results.
"Promising."
She didn't like this at all. Why did Knockout have to leave? Why was she here? Maybe Megatron wanted her to experience this, or as some sort of punishment. Whatever it was, she wasn't going anywhere.
The systems than alerted something she didn't really understand, until Megatron spoke up.
"An intruder in the system?" He shoved Silas aside, much to her pleasure to see that. "Soundwave, we have a breach!" It didn't take long to locate where it was coming.
"Jasper, Nevada."
'What the fuck?' The hacker was coming from her home town?
"It can only be the autobots' human allies."
'Jack? Miko? Raf? There just kids!'
"Then perhaps you should attend to the matter."
"Surely one of your subordinates is more suitable?"
"Now! And take Bloodbloom with you for this."
"What?" She knew better than to question him.
"Go, the both of you!"
'Fuck me life…'
Seeing her home town again was nice. Neither of them spoke to one another, which is what she wanted. She and Silas drove down the streets of the area before they arrived at a house, which supposedly was where the hacker was. Without any thought or words, Silas activated his cannon and directed it to the home.
"Good night, hacker."
"No!" She transformed and stood in his was to fire. "I'm not going to let you do this."
"So she hasn't completely left her old life. Well, I'm sure Megatron will need to know this. Telling him you turned against me before I blasted you will acceptable. Very well, you may join the humans." He didn't hesitate to power up his blaster and all she could do was stand there and wait for what was to come.
Than out of nowhere a roar of an engine was heard before a vehicle slammed into Silas and dragged him along the street. Bloodbloom stared in disbelief. She was so close to being killed. Without another thought she ran after them.
They had ended up off the street and into the open field together, both transferred in their robotic forms. She now recognised her saviour as Bulkhead.
"You crazy bastard," she laughed light and headed down to them.
"Been itching to trad pay with you again. Where you been, Breakdown?" Bulkhead said, but he looked to be limping, probably from Hardshell's attack.
"Be patient. I'm about to send you there."
"You're not Breakdown." Bulkhead sounded both confused and disappointed.
"But you are Bulkhead, and this is the last time you'll interfere with one of my operations."
"Silas?"
"In the flesh, in a manner of speaking"
The two mingled before Silas landed a blow against Bulkhead and sent him falling backwards.
"Bulkhead!" She called out as she slide down the slope. If she was going to help out anyone, it was Bulkhead. Fuck everything else. Silas was a bastard and even Megatron had to be not so stupid to trust him. If only she had a weapon, she could defend herself than. She has taken care of brutes single handily and she was going to handle Silas the old fashion way.
As Bulkhead was knocked back, she threw herself at Silas and landed a good blow against his chest. He was surprised at her strength, but shook it off quickly and accepted her challenge.
"Impressive, but let's see how good you really are," he taunted her to come at him and she did. Sadly her battle skills were nowhere as near as good as the two of them. He slammed his hammer into her and sent her flying into Bulkhead.
"Bloodbloom, you ok?"
"I'm just getting started," she ran at him once more, this time ducking and striking him again and again. He picked up on her movements and managed to grab a hold on her and threw her against the concrete wall. It was enough to make her systems shut down for a mere moment, and took her a bit to regain focus.
"Reaction time is slow," Silas said to Bulkhead. "You're favouring your right side. Legs are weak." Bulkhead wasn't going to go down that easy.
"I'll show you weak." He threw another punch by Silas was quick to act. He slammed him backwards, sending him scraping against the ground.
"You should've stayed in bed, autobot." Before he could give another blow the sound of tires scratching was heard and another autobot slammed into Silas. The autobot known as Smokescreen help Bulkhead back onto his feet.
"Assist, what the new guys for."
Bloodbloom was still feeling fuzzy, and couldn't' do much that moment. That blow had something to her circuits.
Silas regained his feet. "One new guy to another….This is your final day on the job." He slammed into the ground creating a dust of cloud around.
They mingled longer, for a time she didn't know. There was a glow and as soon as she looked up she noticed Silas running into the ground bridge before it disappeared. He must've been called back. But she was left behind.
Fucking asshole," she muttered as she went to stand up.
"Bloodbloom!" Bulkhead limped over with concern. "You alright? That was quiet the hit you took."
"I've had worse," she smirked. Smokescreen activate his cannon and directed it at her.
"Don't move decepticon!"
"It's alright, new guy. She helped me out."
"But's she's a decepticon that makes her our prisoner." The young guy didn't understand.
"Lower your weapon kid," he pushed it aside so she wasn't being threatened anymore.
"He's right though, I am a con."
"You helped me out though, and just got left behind."
"Silas is a prick anyway. Besides," she gazed up to see a fireball flying over the sky and smiled lightly. "Looks like someone's big plan just burst into flames."
"Thank Primus," Bulkhead agreed. "Will you go back?"
"Yeah, I guess I should."
"So wait, we're just letting her go?" Smokescreen still didn't understand.
"Yep, I trust her enough." She was a bit surprised by this.
"Why?"
"You've already done a lot for us. Also to add you prevented the kids from being destroyed and helped me out, I think that's enough."
"Yeah, I guess I did."
"Bloodbloom, will you consider joining us?"
She smiled weakly at him, an apology or agreement, she didn't know herself. "I'll see you around, Bulkhead." She called for a ground bridge and left the two autobots behind.
'Last chance.' Soundwave's words echoed through her head and sighed heavily.
She hoped Silas got what he deserved, and prayed he didn't blab about helping the autobot out.
Thanks so much for reading! Don't forget to review. Sorry if Knockout was a little OOC, but I liked it. Also sorry this chapter is a bit shorter. Hope you all enjoyed and peace out.
