Just to let you all know, I failed Biology so this is the best I've got.

Gibbs rode up in the elevator with Ziva bouncing up and down beside him, her little hand gripped in his. That morning she had awoken bounding with energy and life. Little-Ziva had been such a pleasure that morning. She hadn't even complained about entering the elevator. When the doors opened they went into the bullpen, Ziva bounding along beside him. Tony and McGee lit up when they saw her.

"Watch her for a couple'a minutes, would ya?" Gibbs told them, speaking to neither men in particular. He crouched down on front of her. "You are going to behave yourself."

She gave him an oh-too-sweet-smile and with a small shrug of her shoulders replied, "of course."

Sighing, he got up and left the bullpen to see Ducky. The two of them would keep a close eye on her. He would only be gone for a little bit.

Entering autopsy, he spotted Ducky at his desk as usual and came up to him. The older man didn't even realise him until he was right beside him. He jumped, startled.

"Scare yah, Duck?" Gibbs chuckled in a half humorous, half apologetic tone.

"No, nevermind Jethro," Ducky smiled. "What can I do for you?"

"Can you watch Ziver tonight?" Instantly he saw it wasn't going to happen.

"Sorry, Jethro. I have plans to go out with someone tonight." Ducky shuffled over to one of the autopsy tables before turning around again. "Another time? Why, where are you going"

"Got an appointment to talk to the doctor about her." He said. "Nevermind, I'll just take her."

"I'll watch her." Palmer suggested. Gibbs hadn't even noticed him at the other side of the room when he came in. He didn't know how to respond to that. There was nothing wrong with Palmer and honestly he probably hadn't given the man enough credit but he didn't know how he would handle mini-Ziva.

"You sure?" He asked. Oh god, she was going to run him ragged.

"Yeah, it'll be fun." He knew nothing, did he? "When do you want me? I'm at your disposal."

"Half five," He began leaving then stopped. He couldn't be rude to a man that was doing him a favour. "Thanks."

Palmer came at half five on the dot. He welcomed him in warmly, ultimately deciding Jimmy didn't need to do him this favour. Ziva was sitting innocently on the couch, cross legged with a huge book open on her lap. She glanced up at him and gave him a good-girl smile.

"Hiya Jimmy," She purred.

Oh God. Gibbs thought, dreading this. What's she got planned.

"Hey, Ziva." He placed his coat over the chair. "How've you been?"

"Good," she brushed her hair out of her face.

He felt very sorry for Jimmy. Clicking his fingers, he gestured for her to come to him. Shutting over the book, Ziva skipped towards him. "Be good. I mean it otherwise we'll be having a few words."

She wrapped her arms around his neck and he reciprocated until the child pulled away. Saying goodbye, he left them to it. Perhaps he should have given the man a warning. Then again, she should have come with a health and safety label.

It only took him half an hour to get to the hospital and he arrived bang on time. There was no way he would have managed that with Ziva in toe. He only had to wait a minute to be called through. He was shown to a very formal room with a large desk with a huge stack of files on it. Behind it was a chair, another pulled up to the other side with a very professional looking woman sitting in it. Across from the vacant chair behind the desk were two chairs. Maybe they had expected him to bring tiny-terror. He stepped to the closest chair, doctor Paterson sitting across from him.

"Good evening, Mr Gibbs," Doctor Paterson smiled, "this is my consultant, Doctor Ashton. She is the head of the psychiatric unit."

Gibbs shook her hand before they all sat. They didn't waste anytime getting started.

"So, to begin with we would like to discuss the physical side-effects of both retaining her regressed state and ageing her however we must inform you this is all theoretical. We can not guarantee any of it as this is a truly unique case." He waited for Gibbs' go-ahead. "From the studies we have conducted we expect Miss David to age just like any other child with both her physical and mental processes developing accordingly. From our scans it seems her tissue has repaired itself. The scars that her medical records detailed have all repaired themselves so there are no trace of them."-He showed him a picture of a small scar on her inner thigh-"This was detailed to have happened when she was about three. It has completely vanished. The tissue has regenerated and repaired itself. We do not expect they will return even if she proceeds with the treatment."

They let that sink in while they shuffled files. He sought some comfort in that. Even if she did return to them as a young woman, she would be free from the bodily scars that had littered her body.

"If she continues with the treatment it is difficult to predict how her body will be affected. For example, it is unlikely her reproductive systems will function efficiently."-He paused, deciding to change how he was passing over the information-"By putting her body back to a state where her body is not able to produce children and then returning her to a time when it should...it is unlikely she would be able to have biological children after the treatment. We do expect, however, her reproductive organs will be undamaged if she is allowed to age naturally."

He paused again. Over the course of seeing this doctor he seemed to be of a rather nervous disposition. Then again, this was a rather nerve racking case.

"No matter the course of treatment, the most damage will be to Miss David's mental health rather than her physical health." He continued. "I have been working closely with Doctor Ashton to discuss the effects."

Doctor Ashton began without any frivolous pleasantries. "Either way Miss David should see a psychologist after these events. I have a team of psychologists that can be read into the case at a moments notice to assist Miss David recover, all of which will be necessary to ensure this does not impact her mental health negatively. I would recommend sessions at least once a week, preferably twice for the first few months."

Someone like her certainly shouldn't have been working in mental health. Perhaps shocking death row inmates would be more appealing for her. Her words certainly made the situation more real to him. Doctor Paterson quickly picked the meeting back up out of the ashes his consultant left it in.

"It is likely she will begin to forget some of the details of her previous life. Just like you or I do not remember everything that happened when we were younger, she will forget a lot of her life before she came to you. We do not believe she will forget the bigger things, her sister's name, her schools etc. You may want to remind her or allow these details to slip away. It is uncertain which of these options would be better for her."

He nodded, overload of information. With still more to come, he ran his hand through his hair and got comfortable. It was going to be a long evening.

When he returned home it was nearing eight o'clock. He entered, and although was not surprised, he had hoped for a calm, easy scene. A chair had been dragged into the living room and Palmer was tied to it. He looked absolutely relieved to see Gibbs. His ankles were tied to the chair legs, his body to the main thing and his hands to the arms. What the hell had been going on here?

The next chapter will be about Jimmy and Ziva. Please, please please REVIEW. I miss them...thanks.
