Instead of leaving this floating here in a state of unfinished limbo, I'm going to quickly wrap everything up as best I can. After this chapter, there will be an epilogue and the story will be marked as complete. I thank everyone for sticking with this on the long journey this has become.

oOOOo

Kagome leaned against the door frame, her arms crossed as she looked across the room at Yumi. She was sitting on the couch arm, smiling as she talked to Tanya and Kikyo. The morning feeding had gone well, at least that's how it felt to her. The past few had been pretty rough. Yumi had returned back to her normal self – that is putting her mask of strength on. It made her proud, seeing her little girl face this with a smile. Even though it broke her heart, she knew she would be in pieces if Yumi broke down again.

Inuyasha wrapped his arms around her and she leaned back into his embrace. "Hey," he whispered, kissing her cheek.

"Hey," she responded back.

"I can't believe she's acting like nothing's happened."

"She's strong. We'll solve this." She nodded to herself. There was a long silence as they both watched their daughter interact with the others. "We're okay, right?"

"Yeah."

"I mean, about the other night."

"I know what you meant, but we have more important things to focus on right now. Let's talk about this later." She straightened, leaving his embrace to turn and face him.

"I think we should talk about this now." She reached for his hands, closing hers around his.

He fidgeted. "This is minor—"

"It's not minor," she insisted, holding her gaze.

Eyes moving from hers to where Yumi sat, he looked back at her and nodded. "Fine, but not here." She followed him to another room, closing the door behind them. He took a deep breath, running a hand through his hair. "Okay then," he spread his arms, "Let's hear it."

She watched him, suddenly at a loss for words. There had been an expectation of resistance from him. By preparing herself for the pushback, she failed to prepare herself for the actual discussion. Instead, she smiled sheepishly. "I don't actually know where to start."

"I feel like we keep going back and forth with this. That changes right now. Whatever it is, we are 100% honest with how we feel, no matter what. What we decide here, we give it a fair shot and discuss whether it's something we want to continue later, deal?"

She gave a curt nod. "Deal."

"Then let's start with something recent. Sango."

Kagome nodded. "I was going to bring up talking with her about a repeat, but there was never the right time. With so much other things happening…" She trailed off.

"Is this something you wanted, or her?"

She gave him a tiny smile. "I'd say it was mutual. You couldn't tell the other night?" To her surprise, he didn't get flustered.

"I know how you get when you're hungry. Sometimes you act before thinking." She scowled at him and he held up his hands. "You can't deny it."

"Yeah, doesn't mean I want to be reminded of it," she said, crossing her arms in a pout.

"But the real question: is this something I should get used to?"

Her arms fell to her side as her heart thundered against her chest. "How do you feel about it?"

"I asked first."

"Not fair." He just shrugged. "I… wouldn't be opposed to it. It wouldn't be that often of course," she added quickly.

"That's not a very committing answer."

She quickly bit her lower lip before continuing, giving him a small glare. "I don't want to limit it to just Sango, or only people we know."

That surprised him. "I… suppose."

"You suppose? Who is giving non-committing answers now?"

"I'm not too sure how I feel about you brining random women home…"

"Of course you'll have a say in it! I won't just bring them home blind."

"Fine, but we don't do any of this at home anymore. If there is someone else, we do it at a hotel."

She nodded, smiling. "Okay!" Her eyes narrowed. "You sure agreed to this quickly after being so stubborn before."

He sighed. "I'd be lying if I said I disliked it. I was so against it because I felt that it would just spiral out of control and sex would lose its meaning between us."

Kagome reached out to hold his hands, smiling. "That won't happen. Never." He smiled back, squeezing her hands back. "But now I have to ask… will you join me with another man?" He winced. She didn't ask if it was okay for her to be with other men. By this point, there was already an unspoken agreement between them and she wanted to spare him that little discomfort.

"That's…" he drifted off. She smiled hopefully. "I don't think I can answer that right now."

"Oh," she said, disappointment creeping into her voice.

"Is it something you want?"

She met his gaze. "I do. I promise, it won't be often, at least, not as often as another woman."

"I don't think I would be comfortable with it."

Nodding, she glanced down. "I understand."

He sighed. "But I'll give it a shot, for you. Just… don't get your hopes up?" She smiled, giving him a quick kiss.

"Thank you. I mean it. This means a lot to me."

"I know."

She licked her lips nervously. There was still one more thing she needed to get off her chest. It's now or never. "About Yumi…"

Inuyasha's body stiffened. "What about her?"

"Beyond teaching, it is customary for a mother and daughter to…" She didn't continue, seeing the discomfort on his face growing. "If it's too much, I can wait…" She let her voice trail off on that as well. She didn't know which was worse, bringing it up to him, or telling him she would wait until he passed on. Kagome didn't even want to think about the second one. They still had decades before age became a factor in things. Still, it was inevitable. She didn't age and humans did.

"I don't approve of it, and I never will."

"Yeah, I know."

"Just don't let me find out or give me a reason to believe it is happening. It's the one thing I'm allowing you to lie to me about."

"It won't happen." He narrowed his eyes.

"No, no, I won't push any farther. I'll consider that matter closed." Kagome nodded and smiled. "What?"

"I'm just happy."

He crossed his arms, putting on a stubborn act. "Don't forget this is all on a trial basis. This could change if one of us doesn't like it."

"I won't change it."

He rolled his eyes. "Fine, if I don't like it."

She kissed him. "You will."

He merely huffed and looked away.

oOOOo

Yumi was smiling when they exited the door. She was leaning against the doorframe her mother had been using before. "I see you two finally decided to stop being children and talk like adults."

"I don't want to hear that from you," Inuyasha said, reddening slightly.

"Eavesdropping were we?" Kagome said with a grin.

There was a wisp of a smile on her face. "Maybe a little."

"That wasn't the sort of conversation to listen in on!" Inuyasha said, his voice rising.

"Relax Dad, I'm not a kid anymore."

"Err… Still!"

"I'm just glad you two aren't fighting anymore. It was frustrating to say the least."

"Yeah, I'm glad too," Kagome said, gesturing for her to come over to them. She wrapped her in a hug, squeezing her tightly. Inuyasha joined in, his arms wrapping around them both. After a long moment, the three separated. "As wonderful as this is, there is work to be done." She turned around to face Inuyasha, leaning up to kiss him. "Tonight," she whispered, more as a seductive move rather than hiding the promise from Yumi.

Turning, she headed off to find her mother. It was nice having one major issue solved. Now, she needed to do the same with Yumi.

oOOOo

Miroku ran a hand through his hair, letting out a long breath. Sango sat across from him, arms crossed as she stared him down. "Look, for the last time, I don't know what came over me."

"She's Kagome's daughter!"

He winced. "You think I don't know that? Look, I said I was sorry—"

She rolled her eyes. "I want you to tell me everything."

"W-what?"

"You heard me. Start at the beginning, and don't leave a thing out."

"O-okay. Well, it started when we were in the living room—"

"Not that!" she said, scrunching her nose. "When you met up with her! Tell me everything that happened up until you got here."

He relaxed. "Oh, well, she called me…"

Sango listened patiently as he told his story. It started innocently enough. She called him sounding slightly distressed and he came to see what was up. Seeing her in the dejected state, he took her out for dinner – the human kind – to see about cheering her up. Then she started acting weird and asking all sorts of questions.

"Remember what the questions were?" She knew instantly that he did and gave him a look telling him she knew.

"Yeah. Told me she had sex with Kagome and wanted to know if I thought she was weird."

"And?"

"If I had ever slept with Kagome before."

"And?"

He paused. "If I would." Sango already had a feeling she knew the answer to that question without asking.

"That's it?"

"That's it. After that, she asked if I wanted to have sex with her and well… we came back here."

Sighing, she leaned back in her chair. "You put up a lot of resistance there."

"I know this isn't my strongest moment…"

"No, it's not." She shook her head. "And after you scored some points finding the book." He hung his head, looking miserable. Her eyes narrowed on him. "What were you thinking about?"

"Huh?"

"During the questions."

"Oh, I don't know. Things?"

"Miroku…"

"Okay! Okay. Well first, I was thinking how awesome seeing Yumi and Kagome together was." Sango rolled her eyes as he continued. "Then, how awesome it would be to spend a night with Kagome."

"What about Yumi?"

He shook his head. "I wasn't thinking about that at all until she asked me."

Straightening slightly, she leaned forward. "What about after she asked?"

He thought for a moment. "Well once she brought it up…"

She sighed, settling back in her seat. "Wonderful."

"As I said, it wasn't one of my prouder moments, but Sango, you weren't there! I mean, the look on her face. I couldn't say no."

"Don't give me that shit."

"No, it's not like that. She looked so… sad. This was probably the first time she ever actually asked someone without charming them. What was I supposed to say, 'no?'"

"That's exactly what you were supposed to say!"

"Well I didn't! All I wanted to do was help her!"

Sango took a deep breath, releasing her anger with it. "I won't pursue this any farther since Kagome seemed okay with it."

His eyes widened. "Kagome knows?"

"Yumi told her."

"I…"

"More importantly, I think we need to talk."

He looked at her suspiciously. "I thought that's what we were doing."

"No, not about this. It's about Avery…"

oOOOo

Kagome wiped the cum from the inside of her legs, tossing the used tissue away. Their meal had passed out on the bed, arms and legs sprawled out as he snored loudly. Her eyes followed Yumi as she leisurely climbed into her panties while chatting with Kikyo. Her feedings were going well. Better then she hoped. What had once been a deteriorating slope, every feeding seemed to empower Yumi more. Her skin wasn't the pale, sickly color it had been and her face lost the gaunt look that haunted her before. Yumi also seemed to be absorbing energy easier and Kagome was able to feed it to her at a steady rate. She remained cautiously optimistic about the sudden reversal of her daughters' condition. Too much was unknown about her syndrome. Could it go into remission? If it could, was it permanent or would it suddenly flare back at a later date? If it did go into remission, why?

Yumi's laughter brought her out of her own thoughts. The clothed Kikyo was tickling the topless girl as she fought to resist her relentless aunt.

"Stop it! Stop it!" Yumi gasped, tears in her eyes.

Kikyo was slow to release her, stepping back with a stern look on her face. "I never want to hear 'old' and my name used in the same sentence again." She looked to Kagome, cupping her breasts. "Do you think they're sagging? They're not, right?"

"Moms' aren't even sagging and she's twice our age. I think you'll be fine."

As the two talked, Yumi quickly slid her bra on before fishing her phone from her jeans pocket. She looked up and over at Kagome. "Dad wants to know if we're almost done." She glanced back down. "It was ten minutes ago."

"That's up to you."

She smiled. "I'm good."

"You sure? We can always get another one."

"I'm fine, really. Two is enough."

Kikyo ruffled her hair. "Now isn't the time to diet. You're looking better every day. Eat well so you can continue to move in the right direction."

"I know, but I'm full," she said, patting her bare stomach. "It's a fantastic feeling," she said with a grin. Her attention turned back to her phone.

"How about you? Want a meal for yourself?" Kikyo asked.

As tempting as it was… "I think I'll just wait until later tonight."

Her sister chuckled. "Milking the make-up sex with the husband?"

A faint smile crossed her lips. "Something like that." Yumi's phone brought her attention to her daughter.

"Well he's hungry and is going to grab something. Want to meet him?"

She was about to answer when she remembered her current state. "I should probably take a shower first. Tell him to give us a few minutes."

"'Kay," Yumi said, flopping back on the second bed, typing away on her phone.

Kikyo crossed her arms. "Fine, I'll guess I'll get my own dinner. By myself. Alone."

"I'll see you later," Kagome said as she stepped over the clothes on the floor as she made her way to the bathroom. It obviously wasn't what she wanted to hear.

"Not even going to invite me?" she pouted, crossing her arms.

She spoke over her shoulder as she flipped the light in the bathroom on. "Inuyasha and I may have agreed to open up the marriage more, but this is still a recent development. I'm not going to ruin it by pushing things too fast."

"You're no fun."

"Besides, I don't even think Inuyasha would go for it since we are sisters."

Even though she wasn't looking at her, she could tell by Kikyo's voice that she rolled her eyes. "Yes, because being with two sexy sisters is an abnormal fantasy."

"I think Dad would go for it," Yumi chimed in from her place on the bed. "He's already been with Aunt Kikyo before, right?"

"Oh no, you stay out of this. Remember, we don't speak, mention, or hint at what happens between us to your father."

"I know!"

"And please, don't call me 'aunt.'" She shivered. "It makes me feel old." The last thing she heard was Yumi sighing before she closed the door.

oOOOo

Kagome watched as Inuyasha slurped his Ramen into his mouth. She tried to suppress her amused smile as he struggled to hide his embarrassment.

"I'm eating a lot better now," Yumi continued, twisting her water glass between her hands. "It's been awhile since I felt this full." If she knew about Inuyasha's discomfort, she feigned innocence like a professional. "I've also noticed I haven't been losing energy as quickly so I don't have to eat as much."

Inuyasha looked over at Kagome. "This is good right?"

"Of course."

"I mean, I know it's good but…"

"Getting better good? We still don't know. Mom says nothing like this should be happening but we've never faced this illness before."

"I think I'm getting better," Yumi said. "I still feel a little off, but I haven't felt this great since my coming-of-age ritual."

"Your mother said a human mage could cure it. Any chance one of your… 'meals'… was a mage and you didn't know it?"

Kagome shrugged. "I've thought about it. The odds of that happening…" She took a sip of her tea. "I still think we need to find one, just to make sure. Besides, even if one was a mage, he would have wanted to help her. None of our 'meals' was really in a state to want anything." She sighed. "I just wish we knew when it started this reversal. If we could find the reason for this positive change, we could just repeat it if things started going downhill again. Even if it's not a cure, a way to temporarily push it back is better than letting it win."

Yumi looked like she was deep in thought. "I really don't know. It could have been anyone in the past week."

"We should have taken the information from them."

"Unless it was—" Yumi stopped short, suddenly blushing.

"What?"

"N-no, it's nothing." It took a moment for it to click for Kagome. Miroku. With everything that had happened over the past few days, she had completely forgotten Yumi had slept with him. Which is a conversation I've been needing to have with her. Kagome was always open to Yumi's feeding choices, but Miroku was different. He fell into the inner circle of friendships for both Kagome and Inuyasha. Sango and Miroku's relationship was already complicated enough without having their friends' daughter joining them in bed. She also didn't know how Inuyasha would react, which was what worried her the most. If their current agreements held, she would be quite satisfied with their relationship moving forward and she was determined to see this transition went smoothly.

Back to the conversation in the present… "Perhaps."

Inuyasha looked confused. "What? Why do I get the feeling I'm missing something?"

Kagome smiled, resting her hand on his free one. "Honey, I agreed that I would always answer what you wanted to know if you asked it."

"Yeah…"

"I will tell you if you really want to know." His eyes narrowed suspiciously. "It's not that, I promise you." Yumi looked uncomfortable, shifting in her seat. Her eyes moved between the two quickly.

Inuyasha relaxed in his seat. "I think it's probably better if I didn't know." Kagome tapped his hand reassuringly as he used his other hand to shove another batch of Ramen into his mouth.

"If it turns into something, I'll let you know." He only nodded. Her gaze fell on Yumi. "But we are going to have a talk later."

Yumi's eyes lowered. "Yeah…"

oOOOo

Sango opened the door, surprised to find both Yumi and Kagome. "Come in," she said, quickly ushering them inside and closing the door before more cold air could get in. "Getting colder out there," she said anxiously, her eyes falling on Yumi. She seemed… dejected. It was a foreboding omen to their visit. She still tried to put on her best smile. "What brings you two here?"

"I think you know." Sango only nodded. "Were you involved?"

"I…" she glanced over at Yumi, who was staring at the floor. "Uh… walked in on them." She shifted uncomfortably. "I didn't stop them." She gestured for them to follow her into the apartment where it was warmer.

Miroku stood up as they entered. "Hey… oh," he said, smile fading at reading the mood.

"Hey," Yumi said softly, giving him a quick wave as well as a shy smile.

Kagome turned to Sango, bowing her head. "I'm really sorry about Yumi's actions. Please forgive my oversight."

"Woh, uh… It's fine," Sango said quickly, shocked at the sudden turn. She rubbed her hands together. "I really feel like we should be the ones apologizing."

"I think no one should be apologizing," Yumi muttered, earning a smack on the back of her head from Kagome.

"But I have to say, Yumi, you are looking a lot better than you were…"

She smiled. "I don't just look it either." She flexed an arm. "Getting back to full strength."

"That's great!" She nodded happily.

Raising her head, Kagome turned her attention to Miroku. "From what I understand, Yumi had an orgasm separate than yours?"

"S-she told you?" Miroku said with a pale face.

"So it's true."

Yumi rolled her eyes. "Why would I lie about it?"

"She also didn't feed from you?"

"I don't think so, at least it didn't feel like other succubae. I just thought it was because of her illness."

Kagome looked thoughtful. "I'm actually glad you have experience with our kind. It makes this a lot easier to figure out."

"Figure what out?" Sango asked.

"We are trying to figure out what the cause of Yumi's recover is. After hearing her story, I think Miroku may be the cause."

"Me?"

"If I can… are you a mage?"

Sango nearly jumped in surprise. "How did you know?" Miroku asked, equally surprised.

"So it's true."

"I only really found out about it recently," he said, embarrassed. "I still don't know what that means so—" He froze when Kagome wrapped her arms around him, burying her face in his chest. It took Sango a moment to realize she was crying. He gave her a panicked look, to which she could only shrug. Cautiously, he wrapped his arms around her.

"Thank you," she sobbed. "Thank you for saving my daughter."

oOOOo

It took a while for Kagome to compose herself. Rubbing her eyes, she accepted Sango's offered tea with a smile, taking a sip. After she had calmed down, they all sat in the living room, exchanging what they knew.

"Human mages are dangerous. At least, that's what my Mom says," Kagome continued.

"I don't feel dangerous. I haven't been shooting out fireballs or lightning from my fingertips yet." He grinned. "I suppose it's only a matter of time now that I've awakened to my destiny."

Chuckling, she set down the cup on the small table. "No, from what I understand, your powers are more…" She sought to think of a way to explain it.

"You have the power of luck," Yumi said, grinning.

Miroku thought for a moment. "I guess I should go to some casinos then."

"It's not quite like that. You basically shape the reality around you. The more you desire something, the greater chance it has of coming to be." She could see the worried expression on Sango's face. "It's why they were hunted so extensively in the past."

"Did I… want to sleep with Yumi then?" He repositioned himself in his seat, uncomfortable by the thought. "Err, I didn't mean it like that…" he said looking at Yumi.

She was smiling. "I believe that was me. I've had a crush on you for as long as I can remember."

"I ah… I don't know what to say to that."

Sango shot a glare at him. "Nothing if you know what's best for you."

"Regardless, it was your wanting to help her that ultimately saved her. For that, I can't even possibly begin to repay you. Anything I can do, anything at all, please let me know."

He shook his head, waving his hands in front of him. "No, no. It's nothing, really. I know you and Inuyasha would go to the same lengths to help us if we needed it." He glanced over at Sango. "And in a way, you already have."

"Still…"

"He's right Kagome. You don't owe us anything."

Miroku rubbed his hands against his legs. "Does uh… Does Inuyasha know? About…"

"No," Kagome said, shaking her head. "I… haven't figured out a way to breech the subject."

"Any chance we can just… not tell him?"

Kagome shook her head. "I think he needs to know."

He nodded, looking down. "I see. Okay."

Smiling, she reached over to pat his leg. "I'll make sure he understands the situation."

"I would appreciate that."

Yumi took the following silence as an opportunity to speak up. "So now that the mystery of my recovery is solved and I'm cured, does that mean I can finally get my own meals?" she asked hopefully looking at her mother.

"Not until we know for sure that you can control yourself. I think we can let you collect the energy yourself, but we should still accompany you. In time, you will be."

"Okay." She looked over at Miroku. "And I don't want Miroku to be off limits. I know you said it would make things awkward, you said I had the freedom to choose my own partners." Before anyone could voice an opposition, she looked at Sango. "You don't mind, do you?"

Kagome watched as Sango hesitated, her eyes falling on Kagome to see if she would give any visual hints as to what her answer should be. Even though it was tempting to shake her head, she remained still, curious as to what she would say. Miroku was watching Sango in interest. "I… don't mind it. We are all adults here."

"Don't I get a say?" Miroku asked lightly.

"No," Sango and Yumi answered as one.

He merely shrugged. "Fine with me."

"You can join us too," Yumi said, looking at Sango.

"I uh…" She was looking at Kagome again. "Why don't we wait on that, see how things go first." Yumi only shrugged, satisfied with what she already had.

"But if Sango tells you to stop, you stop, okay?" She looked at Sango. "And don't be afraid to let her know if you feel uncomfortable about it." Yumi nodded.

Sango sighed. "It shouldn't be a problem. I already share him with so many other women."

Yumi wore a mischievous grin. "You can always visit my Dad when I'm over. Mom doesn't mind." Sango cleared her throat, looking away as her face reddened.

oOOOo

Kagome watched with a pleased smile, her arms crossed. Near her was Yumi. Below her was a young man probably in his late teens. It was her first complete capture. The only interference on her part was using a little magic to reduce her and Kikyo's presence. Able to hold her own energy now, Yumi was proving a quick study when it came to wielding magic of her own. Unlike the others she had attempted, this boy wasn't dominated. It was clumsy, but for the most part, her charms were working. The boys mind was mostly his own, and it was obvious with how he interacted with Yumi.

Several times, they changed position before finally settling with Yumi on top. Her breasts flopped from the force of their union. His hands rose from the bed to play with them. He even managed a smile as he came. Kagome let her arms fall to the side, ready to spring into action if needed. Fortunately, everything happened as it was supposed to. Head tilted back, Yumi had her eyes closed as she moaned softly, drawing his energy into her. Though she drank deeply from him, she stopped before the boy was in any danger.

Kikyo squealed, rushing over to hug her niece. "I'm so proud of you!" she said, squeezing her tightly.

"Kik-yo… Can't… Breathe…" Yumi gasped, eyes begging her mother for assistance. After Kikyo released her, Kagome leaned forward to kiss Yumi's lips.

"I'm proud of you," she whispered, fighting back tears. Yumi only smiled up at her.

"Thanks, both of you, for getting me here."

Wiping a tear from her eye, Kikyo slapped Yumi on her bare butt. "Don't just sit there. Hurry up and get dressed! We need to celebrate!"

oOOOo

Cooing softly, Kagome closed her eyes, the loud sound of wet skin slapping against each other filled the small room. Her moans took on a sound similar to speaking through a fan as the force of her partner's thrusts forced slightly more air from her lungs. He was really hammering into her at a rapid but consistent pace. Her legs bobbed in the air from his body pushing against the lower part of them, his shoulders used as a rest so they didn't get too tired. As much as she hated to admit it, she was enjoying herself.

Yumi's smug voice cut into her thoughts. "See? I told you."

"Shut. Up." She commanded, gritting her teeth. Her eyes opened to see Yumi's smug smile as she rested on her belly, head propped up on the back of her interlocked hands. Her feet swayed from side to side behind her as she happily watched.

"You have no idea how much I've wanted to do this," groaned Miroku as he continued to pound into her with everything he had. Kagome couldn't help but be impressed with his tenacity. She had just watched him finish with Yumi and he still had this much energy. "Glad," he gasped, leaning forward slightly and at the same time putting more pressure on her legs. "You are enjoying it as much as me."

She answered by letting her head fall back against the bed and let out a cry as he steadily brought her to orgasm. Screwing her eyes shut, she let out a high pitched squeal as she came. It felt like her chest was burning as she clawed at the bedding. She was vaguely aware of her legs dropping as Miroku's hands planted themselves on either side of her head as he drove into her over and over. Her arms shot up as she screamed, another orgasm rocking her body.

Finally it ended, Miroku making an elongated grunt as he buried himself inside her. Again, he impressed her with how much he managed to put inside her considering her daughter had just finished minutes ago. Completely spent, she lay against the bed, head spinning. Not only had she experienced her first double-orgasm, but they were both incredibly powerful ones. It also felt bizarre not being able to feed from him but she felt no ability to pull from his energy. She knew it was possible since Yumi fed from him often. Must be a mage thing…

"And?" Yumi asked eagerly. "Was that not the most fantastic sex ever?"

"It was," she took a breath. "Enjoyable."

She rolled her eyes. "Okay, whatever you say." Kagome ruffled her hair, chuckling.

"You're still young. There will be plenty of enjoyable moments for you in the future." She smiled, looking up at Miroku. "And thank you. I think that will be my first, and last, time I have two orgasms like that."

He blushed. "No, thank you." Silence fell on them as Kagome continued to look up at him. Slowly, it dawned on him. "Oh! Right! Sorry," he said, quickly sliding his softening member from her and backing away. She held her smile as she accepted Yumi's offered tissue, running it along her opening and leg.

"We aren't going to tell Dad, are we?" she asked softly.

Kagome didn't look up, focusing on cleanup. "I already discussed this with him. While he wasn't keen on it, he relented when I told reminded him this was our daughter's savior. It's the least I can do to fulfil a fantasy of his."

Miroku scratched his head. "Now I feel guilty."

With a quick smile, she leaned over to kiss his cheek. "Don't be. Yumi's been pestering me to do this long before you asked. Just remember, as much as I would love to do this again, this is a one-time thing. I know how Inuyasha is. Even though he says it's fine, I know he gets jealous when I'm with other men, so I'm not going to have an affair with you put a wedge in your friendship." While she was sure doing this once with him was going to cause a little friction, he seemed much more accepting when she insisted this would be a one-time thing.

He nodded. "Once is enough." He looked over at Yumi. "I already have my hands full with this little minx." His right eyebrow rose. "But pestering your mother? That's new."

"I know how much you've wanted to do this with her."

"I don't deserve you," he said, leaning down to kiss her. Kagome was surprised at the passion behind it. This wasn't the casual, friendly sex she had thought it was, they were as much lovers as she was with Inuyasha.

"I know," she said with that smug grin she had teased her with earlier.

Seeing the two like that, Kagome decided to stir a little mischief as well. Letting out an overdramatic sigh, Kagome leaned back, propping herself up with her arms. From this position, she was completely open to him. The gentle swell of her breasts just out, nipples slightly erect. Her legs, still spread from when he was between them, gave a clear view of her glistening slit and hair neatly trimmed in a small strip.

Seeing that she had his complete attention, and more than a little giddy that she was able to pull his attention away from Yumi, a wisp of a smile brushed her lips. "It's a shame you're all out of gas. I'd have loved a little mother-daughter threesome."

It was the widest she'd ever seen his eyes get, mouth wide open. It was clear the thought had never crossed his mind until now. "Fuck. You two do that? Seriously?!"

Yumi laughed, rolling onto her back, tilting her head so she could still make eye contact with Miroku. "Dummy. We do it all the time."

"Fuck me!" he said, running his hand up through his hair. Suddenly, he was furiously working at his softening shaft, working in vain to coax it back to life. "I can do this," he said turning away from them. "Just wait right there," he said over his shoulder. Kagome could hear him muttering, 'Come on baby' and 'Don't let me down now!'

The two giggled at his distress. "You're so mean," Yumi said sweetly. Kagome smiled, brushing the back of her hand against her daughters upside-down face. Her smile faded quickly. Flipping back onto her stomach, she inched closer. Keeping her voice low, she kept her eyes locked on hers. "You seriously want to do it?"

"I'd be lying if I said no." Yumi grinned. "But I promised your father one time, and I'm not going to break that."

"But, technically that one time isn't finished. This is only the intermission! Act two is just about to start!" Leaning over, she kissed her, brushing her hair from her face.

"A promise is a promise Yumi. Yeah, I kind of wish I thought of it before this, but at the same time, I'm glad it happened like it did."

Yumi sighed, disappointment on her face. "Yeah, okay."

"One day, you'll understand." She ruffled her hair lovingly, causing her to bat her hand away in annoyance. Still, she was smiling back at her.

In the end, it wouldn't have mattered if she decided to continue on anyways. Poor Miroku was never able to get himself back up.

Yumi sat alone at the café. She slowly stirred at her half-empty drink, watching the ice clink against the side of the glass. Summer was supposed to be winding down, but apparently no one had told summer that as it continued to blast the city with heat. She spared a little energy to keep the air that touched her skin at a comfortable level. Since she first sat down, a few young men tried their hands at hitting on her, but a few graceful words sent them on their way. For the more persistent ones, a touch of magic and they left, finding a more urgent need for a toilet than pestering her.

Seeing her mother, she smiled, waving her over. With a sigh, she sank down into the chair across from her. "Sorry I'm late."

"I got an outside seat, hope you don't mind."

"Not at all." Smiling at the waiter, she ordered a strawberry lemonade. "So," she said, situated in her seat. "How have things been?"

Yumi grinned. "Don't make it sound like we haven't seen each other in months."

Her mom laughed. "You won't know how it feels until you have a child that moves out on her own. Even a few days feels like months." The waiter returned with her drink and she took a long sip before stirring it with her straw. "Have you been eating well?"

"I've had to branch out a bit more since Miroku and Sango are so busy packing. I've been using a magic a bit more, so feeding from them makes them lethargic." She could see her mother's smile falter slightly.

"You sure you don't want to go with them? I know you say you are just an extra in their relationship, but I know how you look at him…"

Oh Mom, you are so easy to read. Even though it sounded like she was encouraging her to go, she knew she desperately wanted to keep her close by. "I'm sure Mom. This is probably for the best. I… have feelings for him, but I know it's time for me to move on, let them have each other." Smiling, Kagome reached across the table to give her hand a comforting squeeze. "But how about you?" A devious grin spread across her lips. "I know how often Sango was absent from the house."

Kagome smiled. "Guilty." They laughed. "I'll miss her. I'm sure your father will be too, though he'll never admit it."

"Things… still okay?" she asked nervously. She knew her parents relationship always seemed to be in a precarious situation. While they were both in agreement about which direction to move forward, her father was frustratingly slow in moving towards it. She definitely caught her mother's grip tightening around the base of her glass.

"Slow and steady. I know it would be a gradual endeavor, but I'm satisfied with our progress."

"Oh?" Yumi said, eyebrow raised as she took a sip of her glass.

Her mother smiled. "We've been with a few different women now." She giggled at a one of her thoughts. "I've discovered a new way to tease him. It's so fun asking him to pick someone out. He gets flustered so easily."

Yumi laughed. "I can only imagine."

Kagome nodded. "He's getting a lot more comfortable with it and taking charge more in bed. I think we've found our niche at once per week. In the future, we may do more, but that will be because he wants it. I'm satisfied with what we are at now."

"I'm glad." She noticed her mother had matched Yumi's idle motions of mixing her drink with the straw.

She nodded. "The next big project is Kikyo. She's been pestering me for a while now."

Yumi was in the middle of taking a drink. "I think he'd go for it," she said, not lifting her lips from the straw.

"I keep reminding myself, slow and steady," she said with a sigh. "I think I'll ask once he's suggesting women without me prodding him."

"So… never?"

"I'm hoping a year."

"I see," she said, biting the end of her straw as she lifted it from her drink. She released it, letting it fall back into the glass. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously. "You know, I've been trying to figure it out, but you seem… glowie today."

Her mother was beaming, releasing her straw. "You noticed?"

Now she was really curious. "Okay, I'll bite."

"It's why I was late."

"Spill it!" she grumbled, unhappy that she was dragging things out. She held out her hand in a 'V' symbol. Yumi's jaw dropped. "No. You didn't."

"Totally did!" she said giddily. "Last night."

Yumi let out a disbelieving laugh. "I can't believe it. I don't!" When her laughter finally died out, she took a breath. She knew her mother had been trying to get Inuyasha to share her with another man for months. Yumi was beginning to think it would never happen. "And? How did it go?"

She started to worry when she saw her mother's excitement dim. "I'm cautiously optimistic. I think I got lost in the moment and pushed a little too far, too fast." She gave a weak smile and explained. "The first man went perfectly. I was satisfied, and I think Inuyasha enjoyed it as well."

"First man?"

A sigh left her mothers' lips. "The first went so well… I got greedy and talked your father into a second."

"I take it… not so well?"

"It was going great, but I was so excited that I rushed picking out the second man because I was worried Inuyasha would change his mind." She rubbed her face. "I lost myself a bit in the moment and my control slipped. Turns out the guy was more than willing to continue without being charmed. I didn't even notice he wasn't under my control anymore."

Yumi's eyes widened. "He didn't."

Kagome nodded miserably. "He did. At least I caught him before he actually put it in."

"So you were late…"

"Trying to calm your father down. Needless to say, he was pissed." Despite it all, Yumi couldn't help but laugh. It hit her so hard, she struggled to get air. Kagome crossed her arms, puffing her cheeks out in a pout. "It's not funny. How was I supposed to know the man went both ways?"

Wiping tears from her eyes, she gradually caught her breath. "Sorry Mom, it totally is."

Shaking her head, Kagome let her laugh at her misfortune. The two talked for a few hours, getting several refills as they filled each other in on stories they had forgotten to share the last time they met. Eventually, the momentum of conversation started to slow.

Finishing off the last of her fourth refill, Kagome set her glass down. "So why don't you tell me why you really invited me here."

Yumi gave her a half-grin. "Can't hide anything from you, can I?"

"I'm your mother, of course not."

Taking a deep breath, Yumi prepared herself. Just like you practiced. "I'm leaving the country."

Kagome nodded gradually. "I figured it would be something like that."

"Just for a few years," Yumi blurted, the words leaving her mouth as soon as they could form. "I'll be in contact the entire time and—"

"Yumi, you don't have to convince me or get my permission."

"I… don't?"

She shook her head. "No. You're a grown woman, and I couldn't be more proud of who you turned out to be, but there is still so much you can grow. So go out there. Find yourself."

Tears started to form in her eyes. "T-thanks Mom."

"But you need to spend some time with your father first. And do keep in touch. You know how he is…"

Wiping her eyes, she nodded. Standing up, Kagome pulled out her wallet. "I'll pay, then we can have a proper send off."

"I'm not leaving right away…"

Kagome smiled. "I know, but I need the confidence boost before facing your father, and you need a meal."

Yumi grinned. "Mind if we invite Sango? I think she could use the break." With a wide smile, Kagome pulled out her cell phone.

oOOOo

I know it is super rushed, but I figure a rushed ending is better than no ending. Epilogue will be up as soon as it is finished.

Many thanks to everyone who has stuck around for this and all the irregular updates!
