During school, Duncan and I could not stop talking about our matching themed costumes for Geoff's party. As soon as I got home I got my costume and make up ready and drove straight to Geoff's party afterwards. I was greeted by Dj, who was in an adorable bunny costume,"Looking good!" I commented. He smiled and let me enter, the music was blasting and everyone from school was here. I began looking for Duncan until I bumped into Trent, "Oh sorry," he apologized. I tried to hold back my laugh when I noticed he was wearing an Elvis outfit, he even brung his guitar. "By the way, I saw Duncan's costume, but I can't tell what he's supposed to be," Trent remarked. "Oh, he's the Grim Reaper! We've decided to match this year," I bragged. "Uh...I don't remember the Grim Reaper wearing a tuxedo," Trent acknowledged. "What?" I asked utterly confused. That was until I spotted Duncan from across the room: He was wearing a tuxedo. My blood was boiling. We've been planning this for months and now he decides to bail last minute!? "Duncan...what the hell happened to your Grim Reaper costume?" I demanded to know. Before he could open his mouth, Courtney interrupted, "I told him to get rid of that ridiculous thing." "Since when does Courtney control you?" I argued. "Oh, you didn't hear the big news?" Courtney exclaimed. "Courtney, don't!" Duncan mumbled. Courtney wrapped her hand around Duncan's and gave me a big smirk, "We're dating," She confirmed.

Wow. Not only was I the last to know about this, but I was the last person to expect this to happen. Sure, Duncan has had a crush on Courtney, but I never imagined them being together due to the fact that they constantly argue. But...this is reality.

"That's..." I hesitated, but finally got the courage to speak,"wonderful." I walked upstairs to the bathroom and just thought for a good minute. Duncan's happy...so why am I not happy? He's my bestest most closest friend. There was a knock on the door, when I opened it up, it was Duncan.
