Chapter 21: Punishment? Huh!?

3rd POV

"Senpai!" Haruhi snapped, glaring at him. She was sort of okay with Tamaki telling the Host Club about what Kyoya had done, but she didn't want him to tell them like this, now; it would be more chaotic and crazy since he didn't put it down more gently. And deep down, the brunette girl did feel a bit bad for Kyoya, no matter what he had done; nobody deserved the wraith of the Host Club.

"It's alright Haruhi," Kyoya answered in his usual stoic voice, shutting off his laptop and getting up from his seat to face the group of angry men.

"What!" Screamed the twins in union after a moment, trying to understand what the heck just happened. It took a second for them to compose themselves, and then suddenly, a dark aura covered them and the sent sharp glares over at the dark haired man. Suddenly, they were turned into the demon twins, already planning his murder. "That's just not right," they said together once more.

"Yeah," Mori agreed with Hikaru and Kaoru, crossing his arms over his burly chest.

"Kyo-chan," Honey said, with his deathly voice. He was beyond livid, and was defiantly not going to hide it. It was hard enough trying to get Haruhi and Kenji together considering the kind of people they are, but he just had to interfere. He just had to break up a happy couple, one of which was meant to be together. Even Mori was glaring his hardest at the other dark haired man, angry that he tried to take away the one amazing happiness that Haruhi deserved, but yet, Mori understood. He too liked Haruhi, and he admit, he was jealous she ended up with Kenji, but he rather her to happy with Kenji, than unhappy alone or with himself.

Kyoya said nothing, just watching the scene unfold. He had already prepared himself for this moment, for he knew his blonde friend, and he knew how the man would react once he found out what Kyoya had done. He expected this, and accepted it. As much as he didn't like to accept that others were right, he did realize he made a small mistake, doing that to Haruhi… and Kenji.

"What Tamaki said it correct, I had tried to break Haruhi's and Kenji's relationship," Kyoya admitted, pushing his glasses up his nose.

"Why, why would you do that," Hikaru burst, clearly angry. It had taken a while for him to accept that fact that Haruhi was now with another guy, and now Kyoya was going to destroy it? No way was he going to let that happen, not after he had to force himself to go out of his comfort zone to accept Kenji with Haruhi.

Kyoya sighed, rubbing his temples before continuing; they deserved to know, after all, they were the brunette's friends, and secretly Kyoya's too, but it's not like he would ever tell them that. "To tell you the truth, I was jealous. I…" Kyoya trailed off, not sure if he wanted to continue, but from the pinning look he got from both Tamaki and Haruhi, he cleared his throat and forced himself to continue, never before seeing Tamaki so serious and Haruhi so scary. "I… liked Haruhi, and had been for a while. I had waited so long that I was angry when Kenji showed up in the picture, so, I framed him for cheating."

Honey looked down at the ground, his fists shaking angrily, but then released the tight clutch, realizing that Kyoya had only acted like a human. Sure, it had gone a bit far for a crush, but now that Honey rethought about it, he realized he didn't know just how long he had liked her. This couldn't be a simple infatuation if Kyoya had went this far.

"Ootori Kyoya," Tamaki exclaimed, sticking a finger out to point at Kyoya dramatically. "You have broken the most important rule of the Ouran Host Club, which is we always have to make the girls happy, and you have made a woman unhappy by breaking her up with her boyfriend, which means you must be punished." Honey nodded in agreement as well as the other three boys, who now had a serious looks on their faces.

"Very well, I accept any punishment," the other black haired man answered in a business-like voice.

"Kyoya, you're punishment is…" Tamaki paused for dramatic affect before continuing. "Is you have to personally tell Kenji that you accept his relationship with Haruhi!"

"Huh!" the entire Host Club said in unison.

"You heard me. From the sounds of it, Kyoya really dislikes Haruhi, but he needs to accept the two of them. So, his punishment is also a form of trying to make amends with Kenji, after all, I have a feeling we'll be seeing more and more of Kenji now, and we can't have to two making things awkward," the blonde explained with a smirk. Honey and Mori seemed to accept the punishment, as well as Haruhi, but the twins looked utterly confused and a bit angry at how easy he was getting off of the hook. Kyoya on the other hand, looked as if he was about to throw up or he had just seen the nastiest thing ever; to say he was displeased about his punishment, would be an understatement. He had prepared himself for a ton of different punishments, but he never considered this one; he was defiantly not prepared to face Kenji, but he had to. Like Tamaki said, it was like making amends, and if this man was going to be in his Haruhi's life, he would have to learn to get along with him, or at least get used to his presence.

"Very well, I accept the punishment," Kyoya answered, crestfallen; he had to abide by the rules, after it, he had some help in making the rules when the Host Club first was open.

"Good, I'm glad we are on the same page," Tamaki answered gleefully with a smile, back to the same old happy-go-lucky Tamaki. "Now, let's get ready for the girls," he stated with a smile.

"Yes boss," the twins answered, coming out of their funk, and following the blonde to the back room to get ready with Mori and Honey following after them. Haruhi decided to stay behind to make sure Kyoya was alright.

"Kyo-senpai," she asked, placing a hand on his shoulder as if to offer some sort of comfort, as she searching looked into his dark orbs. The man placed his own hand on top of hers, inwardly relishing in the feel if her skin against his and the feeling of her hand laid against shoulder, holding it in place. The brunette ignored the fact that the reason he did that was probably because he still liked her.

"I'm fine Haruhi," Kyoya answered her unspoken question. "What I'm confused about is why you are taking this so calmly? Why do you still care about how I feel?"

"Because Kyoya, you're my friend, no matter what, and no matter what you say, I know you think of all of the Host Club as friends too, you just don't want to admit it. I'm taking this so calmly is because in a way, you strengthen Kenji and I's relationship… I'm sure that's not something you wanted hear though… Anyways, Kyoya, no matter what ever happens, we're going to be friends. To tell you the truth, the Host Club were my first group of friends ever, and one's I think will stay with me for the rest of my life, which basically means, that I will forever care about every single one of you. I would hate to see my friends sad…" she trailed off, a sad smile on her lips.

Kyoya looked down at her, letting his mask slip just for this moment. "Thank you Haruhi, and like I said before, if you need anything, anything at all, even if I have a woman in my life and kids, you can always come to me, and I'll be there waiting for you with open arms." Haruhi smiled at him.

"Thank you senpai," Haruhi said softly, thinking about his offer, and smiling faintly; he truly did care.

"Hey, where's Haruhi?" a voice called, one of which was recognized as Hikaru. Haruhi chuckled, thinking about the twins before walking away to find them, leaving behind the dark haired man to his thoughts. He watched her go, and looked down at his now clenched fists; he had lost once more. He hated to lose and it was rarely ever when he lost. But, he thought about when she was with Kenji and compared it to the time the two were no longer together; as much as he hated to admit it, she was her happiest whenever she was near that other black haired man always seemed to be clad in a leather jacket. He didn't seem anything special in Kenji, but if he made Haruhi as happy as she was, he guess that guy must be pretty special.

A/N: I formally apologize greatly! It has been about a month since I last updated (maybe a month and a half now…. EEE!) I just hit this really bad writer's block and didn't have any motivation for this chapter, but here it is! I hope you guys liked the punishment I guess for anybody else this would be child's-play, but this is Kyoya guys; he would never say something like that.

To AnimeBestie: Well, you found out what the punishment is, I have a feeling that you probably wanted it a bit harsher eh? If that's the case sorry, Kyoya is still technically Tamaki and the Host Club's friend, so they are going to be a bit nicer in this situation.

To Guest(1): Thank you and yeah, I kind of over exaggerate the situation… hehehe…

To Guest(2): Nope, sorry, no punches! But she did however scold Tamaki for blurting out the secret.

To slvrphoenx: Thank you, and yeah, from what I got from the anime is that Kyoya was Tamaki's first friend as he was Kyoya's first friend, so, I knew that he wouldn't be as harsh to Kyoya, but would be very angry about the situation.

To PoutingPuppyOHSH: Sorry! Here's the rest; sorry for not updating in like a month!
