THANK YOU so much for reading, reviewing, following, favouriting, etc.: YOU ARE ALL SO AWESOME! I truly appreciate the time you take to do all that (I CAN NEVER SAY THIS ENOUGH).
Remember how I said Laurel and Oliver got together three months before the Undertaking but kept it a secret? Well, this chapter reveals what happened in those three months.

Chapter 21: A Love Time Can Never Destroy
Once they had returned to the living room, Laurel immediately got right back to work, sorting through the piles and piles of documents that littered the large marble coffee table.
"Laurel?" Thea asked. She was sitting on the floor, across from Laurel, who was sitting on the couch.
"Yes?" Laurel simply responded as she continued to organize a few legal documents that were on her lap, not looking up to see Thea's face.
"I just want you to know that if you ever need anything, I'm here for you." Thea said, giving her a warm smile.
Laurel looked up and smiled back. "Thank you, the same goes for you too, you know." To Laurel, Thea was like a little sister. Having watched her grow up right before her very eyes, she was utterly proud of her. She had grown up to be quite a remarkable woman.
"Thank you." Thea said, grinning from ear-to-ear. "Not to ruin this oh so very cheesy moment, but my store opening party is three weeks from today, you'll be able to make it, right?" If each step of their plan completed successfully, then Laurel would definitely be able to attend.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world." Laurel replied, giving her a bright smile.
"These damn contractors!" Thea angrily sighed once her phone started to vibrate. She immediately reached for the vibrating phone that was buried under a pile of paperwork.
"Thea, I already told you, you can go. I'll be fine." Laurel reassured her as she watched her check her phone. Besides, Geoffrey would be there, so it was not like she would be completely alone. Regardless, this was all a part of the plan, but Laurel did not know that.
"Not until Tommy gets here." Thea informed her, looking up at her.
"Thea…" Laurel started to say with annoyance. Before she could say anything else, they both turned their heads once they could hear Oliver making his way into the living room. Laurel softly swallowed her breath.
"Laurel?" Oliver said, giving her a smile that made her heart melt. Their gazes immediately met. They had not seen each other in weeks. There were simply no words to describe how much she missed him and how much he missed her. He desperately wanted to reach for her so that he could kiss her senselessly, but of course, he was trying really hard not to be selfish. This was definitely not the right time to do that.
He walked closer to them, stopping once he reached Thea.
"What are you doing home so early?" Thea asked as she looked up at him, hoping that he would not give her up to Laurel.
Oliver looked down at his sister and smiled. "Tommy couldn't make it. He had a last minute meeting with one of our vendors." He returned his gaze back onto Laurel. "Can we talk?" Neither one of them noticed the ear-to-ear grin that formed on Thea's face once she looked away.
"Then I really should go check on the store. I'll be back before you know it." She looked intently at Laurel. "Please promise me that you two won't kill each other while I'm gone." Thea scolded as she quickly got up off the floor and looked at Laurel one more time and then at Oliver. Her brother let out a soft laugh while Laurel's face remained serious, her heart immediately racing with nervous fear. Being alone with Oliver was definitely not a good idea. She was going to kill Tommy and Thea.
Thea gave them both a mischievous grin before leaving them. A few seconds later, it was just her and Oliver. She could feel her heart wanting to pop out of her chest.
"We need to talk." Oliver restated, his voice deep and low.
"What did you want to talk about?" Laurel said in a soft tone. She hoped it was nothing too daunting. She mentally sighed. When did they ever have a carefree, lighthearted conversation? It was always intense, passionate, heated, and fiery. It was always anything but carefree and lighthearted.
"Not here. Let's go somewhere more private." Oliver said, lovingly gazing into her eyes. He held out his hand for her, palm facing up.
There was a high chance he was going to lead her to his bedroom. She immediately remembered the last time she had been in his room. A light shade of red immediately started to form on her cheeks as she remembered their fiercely passionate night together a few days before she had left for New York. Yep, Tommy and Thea were definitely dead.
After what felt like an eternity, she finally pressed her palm to his, giving him a sad smile. She quickly removed the files from her lap and placed them on the table. He lovingly tightened his hand around hers and then gently pulled her to her feet.
When she stood up, he could not help but take in her impeccable beauty. Wearing a coral sleeveless v-neck dress that stopped just above the knee and beige heels, she looked absolutely breathtaking. Well, to him, she always looked breathtaking.
When they had finally reached his room, Laurel walked in first, forcefully pulling her hand away from his. She nervously brought her arms up and folded them over her chest before turning around to face him, the click and clank of her heels echoing throughout the room whenever she moved her feet.
Shutting the door behind him, Oliver walked a few steps forward, standing just mere inches away from her. He quickly reached into the back pocket of his jeans and took out the photo.
Once Laurel saw what was in his hand, she immediately froze. She fearfully hoped that she was simply imagining things. Her heart broke once she realized that she definitely was not imagining things, her mind painfully drifting back to reality. "Where did you find that?" Laurel asked, her voice trembling with fear. She had been looking for that photo for the past week.
"It doesn't matter." Oliver replied, his voice serious and angry. "You have a lot of explaining to do." She looked at him and then at the photo before letting out a nervous sigh. He was never supposed find out.
After a few seconds, she simply refused to look at him or the photo. Instead, she looked around the room and then started to pace nervously back and forth. Feeling like she was about to faint, she immediately stopped to sit on the edge of his bed, still refusing to meet his gaze. She simply knotted her fingers together and placed them on her lap as an attempt to control her nerves.
"Laurel, you better start telling me what's really going on." He was trying to contain his anger, but he could not help it. He was furious that she had kept this from him.
"Where did you get that?" Laurel mumbled, still refusing to look at him.
Oliver shook his head out of frustration and let out a humorless laugh. He quickly turned around slightly and walked closer to her. Now standing in front of her, he decided to ignore her question. She was going to start telling him the truth, whether she wanted to or not. He may have hurt her many times, but this was something that she should not have kept from him.
"Laurel, you're not answering my question." She remained silent, giving him no response. He became even more frustrated.
He closed his eyes out of frustration and then gritted his teeth before speaking. "Damn it, Laurel!" She gently flinched when he raised his voice. Angry and frustrated, he let go of the sonogram picture, letting it sloppily fall onto the bed. "You can hate me all you want, Laurel. You have every right to hate me, but that does not give you the right to keep our baby from me. I had every right to know!"
"Oliver…" Laurel started to say as she finally looked up at him, her eyes glistening with freshly formed tears that desperately wanted to fall.
"Look, the choice is yours…Was yours…I would have respected whatever route you would have decided to take because it is your body, but that doesn't mean I don't get to have a say." He sighed before continuing. "The only thing that this picture tells me is that you were eight weeks along. And the date…" He paused and closed his eyes for a brief moment. "You had this done exactly two days before the Undertaking…"
"I can't do this right now." She was about to get up and leave but he immediately placed his hands on her shoulders, pushing her back down gently. She violently looked up into his eyes. "Let. Me. Go."
"No." Oliver said, his voice firm and serious. "This was our baby, Laurel. You hate me that much that you would keep something like this from me. This wasn't only about you; this was about us." He quickly let her shoulders go.
She was now displaying a look of sadness and regret. His words felt like a knife cutting right through her already hurting heart.
Her lips started to tremble slightly once the tears finally rolled down her cheeks. "I don't hate you." Laurel whispered, her voice shaky. She grabbed his hands, their fingers automatically interlocking.
They stayed connected for a long moment as they gazed into each other's eyes before she started to speak. "I wanted to tell you, but I just couldn't."
Bringing her hands up to his lips, he placed a soft kiss on each one before gently letting them go. She watched as he moved a couple of steps forward to sit beside her on the bed. He gave her a loving smile before he gently grabbed her by the waist, lifting her up slightly so that she could settle onto his lap. Once she was on his lap, he reached for the photo that was lying behind them on the covers.
Holding the picture with his right hand, which was now lovingly resting on her lap, he tightened his grip of her waist and softly kissed away a few overflowing tears from her right cheek. "Laurel, please talk to me. I need you to tell me the truth." His voice was gentle and comforting, giving her the strength to finally tell him what was really going on.
Felicity had warned her that the truth could never stay hidden. The truth always had a way of coming out. In hindsight, she should have listened to her.
She swallowed a few tears before she started to speak. "About a month after you and I had gotten back together, I took a pregnancy test, and it was positive. When I went to see the doctor, she finally confirmed that I was pregnant. I was three weeks along by that point." She paused and pointed to the picture before continuing. "I had that done five weeks later." She took a heavy sigh as she tried to gather the much-needed strength to continue. She fell silent for a few minutes. This was just still too hard for her.
Immediately sensing her hesitance, he placed a soft kiss just below her right shoulder and tightened his grip of her waist even more, bringing her impossibly closer into his body.
She gave him a smile that did not reach her eyes as she mustered the non-existent courage she needed before continuing. "On the day that I had this done, I heard our baby's heartbeat. I was so overjoyed and scared at same time, but I was already in love with our baby by that point, so hearing the heartbeat was just...God, it was so incredible…" The tears were now flowing with even more intensity as she remembered that day. The sound of their baby's heartbeat was the most beautiful sound she had ever heard.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
She pressed her lips together and frowned. "I was scared. The last time I came to you with something that required a form of commitment…" She immediately stopped. The last time was when she had suggested that they should get a place of their own, and how did he react to that? Well, he cheated on her with her sister. There was no need for her to finish that sentence. He knew exactly what she meant. "I didn't want you to get scared. Again. I was afraid of what your reaction would be." She had every right to be afraid.
"I mean, those last few weeks before the earthquake, you became distant. I'd wake up in the morning and you'd be gone. And that just terrified me even more. So, on the morning of the Undertaking, I had had enough and I decided to confront you about it." She took a heavy breath as the tears continued to fall while he continued to listen to her heartbreaking confession.
"That morning, after we talked, you put my fears to rest. You also said that you had so much to tell me, so, I thought, you'd come over for dinner later that night and we'd talk. I'd tell you about the baby and we'd work things out together." Unfortunately, thanks to Malcolm's disastrous and murderous plan, they never got to do any of that.
Her body immediately started to tremble as her cries completely took over. Oliver gave her a loving kiss on her tear-ridden cheek. "You told me to stay out of the Glades…My dad told me to get out and Tommy…" Her voice painfully trembled as she cried. "Ollie, because of my damn stubbornness and selfishness, I killed our baby and I…God, I almost killed Tommy…"
"Laurel, you don't have a selfish bone in your body. You're stubborn as hell, yes, but you are definitely not selfish…" He shook his head gently and smiled. "You went back there because you're a selfless person who puts the lives of others before your own." She was the most selfless person he had ever known. He was truly amazed at how much she cared for the lives of other people. He did not care what anybody else thought, because to him, she was simply perfect.
"You're like a saint, Laurel. Seriously, your goodness just astounds me…You're just too good for me…I don't deserve you…" Pre-island Oliver would repeatedly say to her when they were together. She would simply just roll her eyes at him.
"Ollie, if I hadn't gone to CNRI, we wouldn't have lost our baby, Tommy wouldn't have ended up fighting for his life." Laurel cried as she took the picture from him and started to gaze at it through her tear-filled eyes.
"Laurel, Tommy only went to CNRI because he knew just how selfless of a person you are. I went there for that same reason; I knew that you wouldn't listen to me. I know you, Laurel. You'd do anything to help others. Even if it means risking your own life to do it. That's just the extraordinary person that you are." He gave her a heart-shattering grin that made her feel even guiltier.
"Ollie, I'm the reason we lost the baby...If Tommy hadn't made it...Then I would've been responsible for two lives." It broke his heart to see her like this. He refused to let her blame herself. This was definitely not her fault. "When the doctor told me that I lost the baby, my heart shattered. I was so in love with our baby…"
Remembering that horrible day at the hospital, he could sense something was off. He remembered just how broken she was on that horrible day and in the days that followed. How she kept pushing him away as each day passed. How the stress had completely taken over her body, both physically and mentally. He knew there was something she was not telling him from the minute he saw her in the waiting area. He simply thought it was because of Tommy. She had just revealed that it was more than that.
"Laurel, you are going to stop blaming yourself, do hear me?" He connected his forehead to hers and opened his eyes wide, gazing deeply into her devastated eyes. "Don't you dare ever apologize or hate yourself for being selfless. You should never have to apologize for doing the right thing." He swallowed his breath and then closed his eyes for a second before continuing. "God, I wish you would've told me." He wished he could have been there for her. She definitely should not have gone through this alone.
"Tell you what?" Laurel cried as she pulled away, refusing to meet his gaze. "That I failed you? That I failed our baby? That I failed us? That I couldn't safely carry our child for two months? Is that what you wanted me to tell you?"
"You could never fail me. You didn't fail me or us or our baby." Oliver informed her as he let go of the sonogram picture, placing it on her lap. He then brought up his hand to lovingly hold her cheek. She could never fail him and she never would fail him. "I'm the one who failed you."
"Oliver…" He immediately brought her head closer to his, their foreheads gently brushing together, stopping her completely.
"You were the best thing that ever happened to me." He gave her a loving smile before continuing. "I'm so sorry for ruining us." She could see the sadness and regret in his piercing green eyes. Their gazes remained connected for a long moment before he pulled her impossibly closer against his body. It took every ounce of his being to stop himself from kissing her.
"I thought I could live without you. But time and time again, I am proven wrong." He let out a heavy sigh before continuing. "I refuse to live without you any longer. I want you, Laurel. I want us. I want us to spend the rest of our lives together." He paused and gave her that illegal smile he had. The one that always made her go weak in the knees.
"And there will come a day where we'll find out that we're having a baby. And it will be one of the happiest days of my life." Her heart slammed against her chest as he spoke. She wanted nothing more than that, but he deserved someone who could give him everything. Everything that she simply could not give him.
His words were just too painful take in. Her lips started to tremble again as she tried her best to control her emotions. She lovingly placed her vacant hand against his chest, over his heart. "We'll never have that day." Her voice painfully trembled as he held her, her tears staining his hand.
"Laurel, what are you not telling me?" Oliver asked, concerned.
She took a painful sigh as she mentally counted to five before speaking. "They didn't just tell me that I lost the baby, Ollie." His breath caught in his throat as he opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. "They told me that I wasn't supposed to be pregnant in the first place. They weren't even surprised that I miscarried. They…" Her cries were making it very difficult to speak in a coherent manner. "They told me…That…I…I can't...I can't have kids..." He immediately let her go so that she could fall deeper into his arms.
He held her as she cried against his chest. "Laurel, what did they say, exactly?"
"That I have a slim to none chance of ever having children." When she was told that she could not have children, she felt like her world had completely shattered. She remembered how, in an instant, her entire world had fallen out from under her. One of her ultimate dreams was to be a mom someday, but in seconds, that dream was taken away from her.
"We'll hire the best doctors money can buy, Laurel. I'll do everything imaginable to get you that baby."
She shifted her head slightly so that she could lovingly gaze into his eyes. "Ollie, I want to have babies with you. A family. I want all of that with you. But we can never have that."
"Then let's start exploring options. There's adoption, kidnapping…You know, as the Arrow, I can successfully pull off one hell of a kidnapping. You tell me which kid you want, and I and the rest of the gang will take care of everything else." His heart filled with joy once he saw her laugh through her tears.
A long moment of silence befell them before she broke it. "Oliver Queen, you deserve to be with someone that can give you everything. You deserve to be a dad someday, because you'll be damn good at it. You need someone that can give you everything that I simply can't give you. Someone who can make all of your dreams come true. I'm not that girl." Those words broke his heart more than they broke hers.
He shook his head at her. She was his dream come true. Why would she ever think otherwise? "You, Laurel, are my dream. This breathtakingly beautiful girl that's sitting on my lap, crying, is my dream." He connected his forehead with hers again. "And I am never ever letting her go!" He immediately pressed his lips to hers, giving her a heart stopping kiss that took both of their breaths away. She utterly missed him and he missed her. The purely hot pleasure that ran through both of their bodies once their lips met proved just how desperately they wanted each other.
Much to his dismay, she ended the kiss before it got too out of hand. She wanted nothing more than to fall under his seductive spell again, but she knew that that would be too dangerous. "Oliver…"
"No, Laurel, there's no way I am letting you slip away from me. Not again." Oliver said, stopping her from saying anything else.
Her heart started to quickly race and her entire body shivered with pleasure once he slipped a finger underneath the hem of her narrow dress, brushing her lower thigh softly. "You've had my heart from the minute we first met. I just didn't know it yet. I love you, Laurel. I love every single thing about you. I have always loved you; I've never stopped." He gave her a heartfelt smirk.
They were nine when they had first met. It was love at first sight, but they just did not know it then. They were simply too young to understand what love meant then, but that did not mean that they were incapable of feeling it.
"I could not stop loving you anymore than I could stop breathing. I am hopelessly, irretrievably in love with you. More than you will ever know."
Her heart froze. "Please don't say things like that…"
He instinctively knew she was about to let her guard up once again. He still knew her better than she knew herself. "Laurel, do love me?"
She fell silent for a minute before responding. "I love you so much it hurts. My heart, my soul, just every ounce of my being aches and bleeds with love for you." She loved him more than words could say.
"Then I have everything I'll ever need." He gave her a loving smile before he started to kiss away her tears.
"But we can't…You deserve to be…"
He stopped for a brief moment. "Laurel, I don't need kids to make me happy. I just need you. I need my Laurel back. Please be mine again, because I am forever yours. I was always yours."
Her heart fluttered in her chest. A few seconds later, she looked down at the sonogram picture that was still tightly secured in her left hand. He quickly connected his right hand with her left so that they could hold the picture together. They spent a long moment simply staring at it.
"Every night I spend away from you, I dream about being with you. I dream about you, Laurel." She watched as he moved them slightly so that he could reach into his back pocket to pull out his wallet.
Once he took it out, he opened it and started to take out a faded photo. Once she saw it, her heart immediately squeezed with love for him.
It was the picture that she had given him before he left on the Gambit. "There was one thing I left out when I told you about the island. I still carry this with me everywhere I go. This saved me. You saved me, Laurel. There were so many times that I wanted to die, but you kept me going. In the end, the only thing I wanted more than anything, even more than death, was you."
"I can't believe you still have that." Laurel said, a look of pure amazement on her face.
"I love you." He was just about to kiss her again but she immediately brought up her hand to his lips, stopping him completely.
"Oliver, it's not that simple."
He softly kissed her fingers before speaking. "I'm going to ask you again. Do you love me?"
She stayed silent, but her green eyes told her soul. She gave him a sad smile, moved her fingers, and then kissed him tenderly. "Yes, but what if…"
"Laurel, that's all we'll ever need. You and I. As long as we have love, then nothing else matters. I promise you, my heart is yours…My love for you is a love that will last forever." He was right. Despite everything that had happened between them, they were destined to be together.
A love like theirs was a once in a lifetime type of love. The type of love that many spend their entire lives searching for, but are rarely ever lucky enough to find.
Their path had been complicated and messy, but in the end, all they needed was love, because love made everything simple. They did not have an ideal love story, but Felicity was right. What epic or great love story was?
"You are going to come back home so that we can be together. That's just simply not negotiable."
"Well, Mr. Queen, that's a rather arrogant thing to say, don't you think? I mean, I don't even get a say?" She raised an eyebrow at him, giving him a saucy smile that filled his heart with utter warmth.
He gave her a sexy smirk that sent shivers down her spine and the butterflies flying in her stomach. The lustful look that formed in his eyes forcing a shade of pink to form on her cheeks.
Oliver gave her no response. Instead, he violently pressed his lips to hers, taking her breath away. The devastating pain that had so heavily sheltered her heart was finally melting away. With the picture still in her hand, she brought up her arms and wrapped them around his neck, pulling him impossibly closer to her lips.
When his tongue violently slid deeper into her mouth, she let out a soft moan. His hands explored her back, rubbing his way down so that he could rest them on her buttocks. Their body temperature soared to boiling hot as the kiss continued.
Laurel felt her skin shiver everywhere he touched her. His kiss-deep, tormenting, dirty, hot, and passionate-was making her feel the way only Oliver Queen could make her feel. She was probably going to need oxygen in a few seconds, but at this point, she simply did not care. She wanted this moment to continue for as long as possible.
"I missed you, every single second of every single day." Oliver said when he finally let her up for air, still trying to regain his own breath.
"I missed you, too. More than you'll ever know." She replied, her lips swollen, face flushed, and breathing ragged. God, did she miss him. Every single moment that they were apart, she had missed him painfully. With her arms still wrapped around his neck, they gave each other a loving smile that melted both of their hearts. "Ollie, I'm a mess…"
Staring deeply into her wet eyes, he softly kissed her neck before speaking. "No, you're not. I was a mess, remember? But you were there for me every single time. Even when I didn't deserve it, you were there. No matter what, you have me to help you get through this. I'll be there every step of the way."
The tears that had stopped falling just a few minutes ago, started to fall again. She was simply speechless. Her stomach was doing somersaults while her heart fluttered in her chest. Was this a dream? She sure hoped not.
"Laurel, you and I are stronger together than we could ever be apart. From now on, we are going to face the world together, and baby, you and I, together…It's always been Oliver and Laurel against the world, and that's never ever going to change."
His love for her was so evident in his eyes that they simply took her breath away when she looked into them. "I am never letting you go. Not even for a second. I will never leave you, Dinah Laurel Lance. You're stuck with me until the end of time."
The walls that she had built to protect her heart were tumbling down as she could see the truth in his eyes. "Promise me that you'll never leave me. Promise me that you'll never ever let me go. "
Their foreheads connected as their gazes met. "I promise you, I will never ever leave you or let you go." He gave her a smile before he started to leave a trail of wet kisses along the left side of her face as his hands continued to sensually explore her back.
Her body shuddered when he reached her neck. He slowly kissed and sucked his way down to the valley of her breasts as a silent moan escaped her mouth. By this point, she simply was trying really hard to maintain some sort of mental sanity.
"We'll defy the odds, you know?" Oliver said in between kisses. With her mind still lost in the moment, she finally regained her senses and pushed him away slightly so that she could look at him.
He gave her a mischievous grin before grabbing the hand that was still holding onto the sonogram picture. He gently took the picture from her and stared at it. "We're going to get our baby, Laurel, just you wait."
She lightly laughed at the playful look in his eyes. "Don't make promises you can't keep." Laurel teased. It was still painful to know that she was incapable of having kids.
"It's a challenge I know I'll win." His eyes crinkled as he laughed.
"Nobody said this was a challenge." Laurel argued. Maybe the pain of never being able to have a baby of her own would always linger in heart, but as long as she had him, she knew that everything would be more than okay. As long as they had each other, nothing else mattered. That was all they would ever need. It had taken months for her to finally be able to realize it.
She probably would not have realized it if he had not found the picture. She would have simply continued to run away from him, feeling like she could not give him everything. Always feeling like she was never enough.
He gazed into her eyes, looking straight into her soul. It was like he had read her mind. It was truly crazy how they could see right through each other. "You are more than enough. You were always more than enough." She gave him a look of shock and amazement. "I read your letter." He revealed as he leaned back down to give her a passionately deep kiss that made her go weak in the knees. She rested her hands against his strong chest as they got lost in the moment.
Her fingers slowly made their way down to the hem of his shirt. They stayed like that for quite a long moment, enjoying the pleasurable sensations that ran through both of their bodies.
They were so consumed with their love and lust for each other that neither one of them heard the door swing open.
"Oliver, there's something I need…Oh…"
Laurel immediately pulled her lips off his and closed her eyes with embarrassment, burying her head into his neck.
"Mom, you and Thea really need to learn how to knock." Oliver angrily said as he protectively held Laurel.
"Well, you should have locked the door if you were planning on having a lovemaking session with Laurel." The love of your life, Moira mentally added. Laurel's cheeks turned beet red. Moira simply crossed her arms over her chest, a look of amusement on her face.
"Mom, don't ever say 'lovemaking' again. Just don't!" Thea grimaced as she waltzed into the room with Felicity following closely behind her.
"Does this mean that you're…Never mind, you two can carry on, just try to be quiet." Moira said as she started to turn around, smiling brightly.
"Mom!" Thea shouted as Oliver let out a frustrated sigh, closing his eyes.
"Oh my God." Laurel whispered into Oliver's neck, her face now looking like a bright tomato. They had been caught in even more compromising positions before. This was nothing compared to those other times.
"Let's just leave them alone." Felicity finally said as she gestured for Moira and Thea to follow her.
"Make sure you two come down for dinner; I'd love to catch up with you, Laurel. You haven't had dinner with us in years." Moira continued to say as Thea ushered her out of the room. Laurel stayed silent. She was too embarrassed to say anything.
Felicity gave Oliver and Laurel a smile before leaving the room, closing the door behind them.
"That's it! We're going back downstairs." Laurel sighed as she tried to remove herself from his embrace. He simply refused to let her get away as he held her tighter.
"This was nothing compared to the other times. Remember when my parents walked in on us while you were beneath the covers, giving me…" She immediately brought her hand up to his mouth and silenced him, her already red face becoming even redder.
"Stop, this is not funny!" He simply laughed at her, and that made her angrier. She playfully swatted his arm. "I couldn't look your parents in the eye for like an entire year after that!"
Still laughing, he gave her a tender kiss. Once they pulled apart, a brief moment of silence befell them before Oliver broke it.
"Laurel? Do you think we could get another copy of this?" He looked down at the sonogram picture. Her heart melted and broke all at the same time as she saw his mouth curve into an adorable smile. You would've made one kickass father, that's for sure.
"I'll call the hospital tomorrow." She smiled and then took the photo from him. Reluctantly, he let her pull out of his embrace so that she could get off his lap and stand on her feet. "I'll leave this in here, if that's okay?" She walked a few steps forward to reach his nightstand.
Opening the top drawer, she looked back up at him. He simply smiled while giving her a look that simply meant he was up to something. She knew that look very well. "Oliver, what are you planning? Wipe that smirk off your face because I'm going back downstairs."
Once she had securely placed the picture in the drawer, she gently closed it and waited for him to make a move. Smiling, he quickly got off the bed and walked over to her. He reached for her hand, bringing it up to his lips so that he could place a loving kiss on her palm. He brought her hand back down and interlocked their fingers together.
She watched as he gently pulled her by the hand, leading her to the door. "What are you doing?"
"You'll see." Oliver simply replied as he opened his bedroom door and guided her through the mansion, their hands never disconnecting.
"Well, step five is officially complete. Nice work, partner. I honestly didn't think it would be this easy, though. Especially with their stubborn heads..." Thea stated as she turned to look at Felicity. She and Felicity were sitting outside, in one of the gardens of the enormous mansion.
Felicity simply refused to meet her gaze. Instead, she focused her attention on the beautifully planted rose bushes that overtook the English style garden. "Thea, I think we shouldn't tell Laurel today?"
Thea raised an eyebrow, a look of confusion on her face. "I thought we were going to tell her today. I mean, were we not supposed do everything today?"
"I just think we should give them this day. They definitely need a happy day."
"I guess you're right. So, what did you tell my stubborn ass brother anyway? How did you manage to get him to finally talk to Laurel?" Thea pondered as she continued to study Felicity. It looked like the usually happy and lively Felicity was bothered by something.
"I just told him what he needed to hear." Felicity simply said, her tone forcing Thea to not ask any more questions. Yep, something was definitely bothering her.
