Some years later
Ana's POV
It's 7am and I wake up with a smile. The sun light fills my eyes and I turn to my side to kiss my husband a good morning but only to find no one there. Then there were low thuds and shushing outside the door and the door suddenly opens.
"Mommy!" Ted squeals with pure delight together with her sister who wears her ever charming smile that makes her dad give her probably almost anything she wants. Behind them, Christian walks in with his most un- sexy look, and I can't help but to laugh.
His face is full of drawings. Again. The kids must've caught him asleep in his office again.
"Don't laugh Mrs. Grey, you're gonna be next." He says and I stop laughing as Teddy jumps in the bed with colored pens in his tiny hands.
Oh no, I just hope Ted and Phoebe grabbed the washable ones.
Christian's POV
"Will Ray still be able to make it to the birthday?" I ask Ana as she finishes dressing up Phoebe for her birthday.
"He said he'll never miss her princess' 1st birthday." She smiles as Phoebe wiggles off from Ana and jumps to me to carry her.
"Christian?" her face suddenly turns to a serious one and I know she's going to ask about this morning.
"You do know that you'll eventually explain to me as to why Ted and Phoebe found you in your office again." She takes in a deep breath, "You stayed up all night in your office again, which means something is wrong."
"I-I uh I'm sorry" I try to start, "but can we just talk about it after the party?"
She stands and looks deep into my eyes, "okay." I give her a kiss to the forehead and breathes in her scent. The scent of my Ana, my home, my love, my light.
Phoebe can't practically move as she opens the gifts she got. Just like what we did with Ted's birthday, Ana and I kept it simple by inviting family and close friends only here in our house.
"Hey bro, we hate to cut it short but it's getting late," Elliot pats me in the shoulder, "little Ava needs to rest since she didn't get any naps today."
She, Teddy and Phoebe has been running around all day. "Yeah. Thanks for coming though," I say as I give him and Kate a hug, "drive safely." Ana hugs them both too as she says her goodbyes.
My parents bid their goodbyes as well, and so did Carla, Ray and Bob. I offered them to stay here but as much as they wanted to spend some time with their grandchildren, Carla and Bob had some vacation plans and Ray promised to meet with his old fellows.
After opening almost all of the gifts, Phoebe is nothing but tired and instantly fell asleep as Ana carries her. Ted, as a very hyper kid resisted his sleepy eyes for some more time, insisting that he still wants to watch his favorite cartoon, but just after three minutes in the couch he fell asleep and I carried him to his bed.
Ana's POV
After a long day, I finished putting Phoebe to bed while Christian does the same with Teddy. Finally, we took a shower and prepare for bed.
"Christian, you have to tell me what's been going on. I hate worrying like this." I say as I move his face towards me.
He looks down and reached for a box at the cabinet in the bedside table. "Someone mailed it to us this morning."
It was a red box with a card that says:
"To the last happy day of a happy Grey family. You've ruined mine, now it's my turn to ruin yours."
Inside was four voodoo dolls with names on their shirts; 'Daddy Grey, Mommy Grey, Lil Teddy and Lil Phoebe'
"Oh my goodness!" I closed it as I saw it and dropped it to the floor. "Wh- wha- who would do that?"
"That's why I was up all night yesterday. Christian says, "I wanted to find out who did this because I didn't want something bad to happen again. Our family is just starting to be happy again and I don't want anyone to be ruining it, not even for a second." He reaches for me and embraces me as he kisses my forehead. My Christian. The love of my life, I can feel his sadness as he holds tight to me. I can feel how he loves me, this family.
"Christian," I look up to him and caresses his face with the both of my hands, "You do know that I love you, this family more than anything. My world starts and ends with you and the kids, and I know that you feel the same way too. I know that you'll never let anything come and harm us. I trust you Christian. I trust and I love you for all eternity. That is why I know that no matter what happens, no matter what this is, we will both figure it out. You don't have to carry it all on your own. We are a family Christian, and we are all here to help each other, no matter what."
He kisses me with a deep kiss and I hold him more for an embrace, "I love you Mrs. Grey"
"I love you more Mr. Grey."
A/N: aaaand, it's the end. I love you guys all so much and thank you for reading this fanfic. thank you for those who stuck 'till the end, especially to those who left such encouraging notes(I really needed those).
I do hope you liked the ending even though it's kinda like half HEA and half of it not, I mean this is the Grey's we are talking about, there will always be something and someone who will try and get them down.
