Kagome shrugged out of her kimono when someone knocked on the door. "Enter" it was a male servant and there stood kagome in her underwear and chest bindings. She walked to her bed and threw on a robe. "Can I help you or are you just going to stand there and hope I take off my bindings?" he seemed to snap out of a spell when he shook his head and bowed almost to the floor. "I apologize my lady but my lord would like to see you in the meeting rooms, I will wait outside to escort you." kagome nodded and had to bite her tongue to stop herself from laughing when he left. She threw her hair into a high ponytail and left her bangs over her eye. She then put on a black fighting gi and walked out. "Lead the way…" "Kenchi my lady, my name is Kenchi." "Lead the way Kenchi."

Kagome walked into the meeting room not bothering to bow to anyone. "Is this the first meeting for the super secret buddy club? No okay, then why was I told to come here before rin and shippo's bedtime stories, and Haru if you say that I could have just let them stay up then I will kill you because they are to young to stay up this late and now they will be upset with me and they like the other kagome better I just know that and we can't have that." Haru shut is mouth with an audible click and sat down, Sesshomaru sat at the head of an oval table looking extremely amused. Slowly Sesshomaru stood up and motioned to the four other men sitting at the table. "Kagome, being that you are indeed and heiress even if it is in the very likely chance the Haru, or Koga screw up as well as other reasons that your mother has denied telling me, you are required to attend, these gentlemen are lords from other portions of the world. Lord Ciardha of Ireland." A short man with long red hair, freckles, and bright green eyes smiled and stretched out his hand he looked around twenty years old. Kagome shook it and smiled. "I like the lassie here, I am a dwarf, I guess you could call me that, my people are called by many names but I guess your people would call us rock demons being that we manipulate the earth." Sesshomaru then motioned to a crow demon, he was a young man and kagome could tell her was Indian. "This is Gandhi from India." Kagome had to hold back a gasp but instead smiled and shook his hand. "You will do many great things for your people Gandhi." At this he smiled warmly, the last two both had long blonde hair and bright blue eyes. "I am Eniarr and this is my brother Olav. Ve are Norse varriors. Our leader is too old to make such a long travel but we sail just fine." One of the brothers was extremely aloof and just glared at her, she responded in kind. This time it was Haru that spoke "We are trying to establish a point of contact with as many foreign demons we can, of course demonic tongue is universal, but flying is not and what is wrong with your eye?!" kagome moved her bangs back over her eye. "If you must know Haru-nii my human form is very fragile at the moment and kagome gave me permission to take partial control that way I didn't accidently break it trying to bust out, kagome is still very much present and the blue eye can attest to the fact that I am not in full control." The foreign demons looked extremely confused and kagome looked to Sesshomaru for permission to tell. "Show them your form." Kagome simply smiled. "Which one?" "All of them." Kagome nodded and transformed into her kitsune first and stretched her eyes fully red as she sat on the table. "I am an oni-miko, I absorb the souls of some of the demons I kill, and this form is natural because my parents were both kitsunes, I have four other forms, three of them are natural. I was born with the jewel of four souls in my body so I fed off of the four strongest souls in the jewel, a miko, a inu, a ookami, and a kitsune. The jewel is now almost completely absorbed into my body and integrated with my soul. My last one is a dragon…that one I did actually kill." She did the rest of her transformation and ended with inu. "My human form though is extremely fragile so I can't push her to hard or else she could break." "What do you mean Imouto?" "Well my human form isn't like the rest, in fact my human form is literally the lack of any other form, she never really existed. She was the product of my mother sealing my demon side, so if I want to keep transforming into a human I need to kill one. The problem is that if my human side collapses I could die because my miko energy will purify me because it won't have any boundaries anymore. Now what I want to know is how did you all get here? And how long did it take?" Ciardha was the one who stood and spoke. "We sailed here lassie. In fact we all came on the same ship, mine. I stopped to restock and picked them up. It took maybe a little over 120 days being that repairs had to be made and such, actually we arrived less than an hour ago and wanted to meet as many Japanese people as we could before sleeping." Kagome nodded and took a seat. "So you all arriving on the same ship was dumb luck?" "I suppose so lassie." Kagome suddenly looked at the door and flared her aura in warning. "If you would excuse me a moment." Kagome stood and walked to the door flinging it open and stepping aside fast enough to let the kids fall on the floor. "Shippo, Rin care to explain why you are not in bed and are instead eavesdropping in a conversation that has nothing to do with you?" shippo bowed deeply and grabbed the back or rins head and pulled her just as low. "Rin and I apologize mother. We were worried you got into another altercation with the guards when you didn't come for our bedtime story and through our connection I felt you shift through youkai rapidly and became worried. We were just about to leave, honest, we just wanted to make sure your okay." Everyone looked at kagome to see how she reacted, but it was rin who satisfied her inu. Rin whimpered and bared the right side of her throat and motioned for shippo to do the same. "Shippo she is an inu right now." Shippo nodded and did the same and kagome smiled getting down on her knees in front of them. "That's enough of that children, I apologize for worrying you but mama's a big girl and can handle whatever the kami throw at her." She looked over her shoulder. "Sesshomaru I'm going to tuck in the kids and make sure the guests rooms are prepared properly. You men may continue, Haru can brief me later." Rin smiled at Sesshomaru and yawned, rubbing her eyes. "Goodnight papa, can you carry me mama?" She then lifted shippo onto her back and cradled rin in her arms before walking away, shifting back to her human form as she walked. For the first time Olav talked. "Mr. Sesshomaru is she by any chance your mate? She reminds me so much of our late sister Dunmar." Sesshomaru simply looked coldly at him. "This Sesshomaru is un mated." Ciardha looked and Eniarr with a mischievous glint in his eyes and they both asked the same question. "Is she?" at this Haru growled. "Don't even think about touching my sister." They merely smirked at him.

Kagome backed out of the children's room. Rin and shippo had taken to sharing room since they always fall asleep during the story. It got to the point where lord Sesshomaru had another bed put into the room for shippo so he didn't share one with rin. She shut the door softly and walked down the hall to her room, she walked through the door and nearly squealed. "Oh they finished the bed!" kagome took off in a run and jumped through the curtains onto the bed. It was a canopy with shimmering curtains that like her wall faded from black to a myriad of blues to white. The pillows were all different shades and she had to force herself out of it to change. Her red eye faded to blue while she messed on the bed before coming back. She clutched her head. "Damnit kagome you can't just eject me like that!" 'I'm so sorry Yami-Kagome it's just that everywhere I go no one has beds! Only futons, it won't happen again!' kagome nodded to herself and stripped down to her bindings and underwear, storing the kimono in the closet and climbing under the blankets, grabbing a medical text from a pile on the floor and began reading.

This was how the maid found her the next morning, reading. "Lady Kagome, while there are guests in the western citadel lord Sesshomaru requires you come to breakfast." Kagome nodded and stood to get dressed. She hated kimonos; they made her look frail and weak but regular kagome like wearing them to throw people off guard. So she selected one of her Chinese battle gowns. She wore a pale blue dress with golden embroidery and knee high blue dyed boots with golden laces up the side instead of a zipper. Combing through her hair she left it down with the bangs covering her red eye. She left the room and went to get rin dressed, shippo was waiting in the hall, half asleep and in batman pajamas. "Rin-chan didn't want me to see her kimono before she was dressed to greet the guests." Kagome nodded. "You realize you have to wear your formal hakama don't you?" shippo shivered and nodded. "They are in my wardrobe in a box so they don't get messed up…put on the green silk ones." Shippo nodded and bowed before running into her room to get dressed while she dressed rin. She put Rin's hair into twin buns with lavender colored ribbons. Her kimono was a light plum color with a violet print; her obi was a solid lavender color. Once she deemed rin ready they walked into the hall and met shippo at the stair case. Descending the steps together, hand in hand, they walked to the dining hall and took their customary seats no noticing the six empty ones.

The servants brought out the fruit, which was the last portion of breakfast and conversation was buzzing. Ciardha finished a conversation with Olav and turned to kagome. "So lassie how did you come to be close to so many men of power, I of course mean this in no disrespectful way." kagome nodded and wiped her mouth with a cloth napkin. "Well the truth is, I save Haru-nii life due to a conflict brought on from his, hopefully, old womanizing ways. He marked me as his next in line because well ask him. with lord kouga he was initially in love with me and kidnapped me multiple times. I eventually got it through his head that I wasn't going to mate him because I didn't love him and he fell in love with his current mate Ayame. The problem is that so far Ayame has had two miscarriages and we believed that she may not be able to carry a child. Since kouga trusted me to lead his pack through extinction and due to a close brotherly/sisterly bond we developed he decided should she not bear heirs I shall take over leadership if he dies or decides to step down. In the east while I was training I formed a close bond with lady Akari because I look exactly how her late daughter would have and we share a name. I became close to the family and she adopted me like I had shippo and rin, Lord Akira encouraged her to use me as a human doll and it was terrifying." This caused a chorus of murmurs when a minor lord piped up with a question. "How would you be able to take over? Your human you won't live long enough." Kagome simply chuckled dryly. "Due to the fact that I am the shikon miko…I am immortal, if I am let's say beheaded. If I can reach my head before I go brain dead I can re attach my head…I heal that fast almost faster than a youkai not to mention that in the next few years I'm most likely going to stop aging, so you youkai won't be able to get rid of me at all." She then popped a blueberry in her mouth before standing. "If you may excuse me I need to try and get some studying in before rin and shippo's lessons, lord Sesshomaru if it's not too much trouble can we move our sessions to evening before dinner?" "That will be fine miko." Kagome then bowed and left, her hair flowing behind her.

Kagome sat in the hallway. It was the one hallway no one entered so she wouldn't be disturbed, well that's what she thought until a maid emerged from the wall and approached her. "Lord Sesshomaru has sent me to tell you that he will not be able to join you in the dojo for the next four days due to a dispute between two large villages that he needs to handle." Kagome nodded. "When does he leave?" "Lady Kagome he left an hour ago." Kagome nodded and waved the maid away when she got a bad feeling her stomach. "Where are my pups?" the maid motioned to downstairs and ran away. Kagome stood up and when she heard the cracking of flesh hitting flesh and a little squeal of surprise her red eye pulsed and she ran, hair flowing behind her as she jumped over the railing, the force shattering the hardwood floor and sending up a cloud of dust around her. As the dust cleared her hair covered her face and she stood looking down. The crowed of women moved falling into their various defensive stances when kagome heard rin whimper. Her head slowly raised and her hair parted slowly over the red eye. "WHO. STRUCK. MY. PUP." Her aura pulsed making some of the women flee and others just cower. That was when she heard shippo. "MAMA!" she turned to see the ring leader standing over rin with her hand in shippo's hair. "keep your FILTHY SCENT OFF OF MY PUPS! Kagome lunged at the woman who dropped shippo and evaded. Her aura screamed priestess but she looked like a demoness. Kagome charged, a whip of purity wrapping around the woman's throat. With a flick of the wrist the woman flew through the air into a wall and instantly kagome was there her red eyes glowing as she held the woman by her throat. "According to demon law the attack of another's pup is punishable by 50 lashings…the attack of a monarch is punishable by death…" she smiled evilly and with a sing song voice she giggled. "You're going to die." She laughed and through the woman into the next wall, walking slowly to her body she laughed. "I think I can count this as a revolt against lord Sesshomaru's reign, the first sign of rebellion activity…so I think I need to kill your friends to." Shippo and rin were long gone, shippo knowing calming his mother would be a lost cause; so instead they gathered the remaining lords, they knew it would take all of them to subdue kagome when she was in this rage. The lords arrived just as kagome spoke her words. The next few seconds changed everything. A pink sheen covered her hand and she wiped, taking the youkai onna's head clean off, before the head hit the floor all the men had tackled her. Ciardha was sitting on her back, Eniarr and Olav both held an arm down, and Gandi as well as Haru were holding her legs yet she still managed to buck hard enough to unseat them all slightly. Gandi was the first to comment. "SEE! SEE WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! THIS EXACTLY THE REASON I'M A FUCKING PACIFIST! SO I DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS SHIT! BUT NOOOOOOOO, I CAN'T ESCAPE IT!" Olav turned to Haru who knew her the best. "What the fuck is wrong with her?" Haru could only smile sheepishly. "She's a mother and they threatened her pups, not to mention she has the demonic capacity of four different breeds." Ciardha was of course the one to offer the best advice. "We need to lock her in a cell till Sesshomaru gets back. The only way kagome can force control is if he gives her permission to change into her youkai form." They all nodded. "But how do we transport her?" Haru questioned at this Gandi released her leg and pinched her neck causing her to fall limp. "This won't last long so let's go." They ran, each still holding a limb and Ciardha opening doors when he stopped. "Do we put her in a cell to seal youkai or purity?" Haru opened a door. "Purity for now." Haru placed her on the small cot and they got out, locking the door just as she woke. One of Nini's chopsticks flew through the bars on the door and narrowly missed Gandi. "FUCK PACIFISM I'M GOING TO KICK HER ASS!" the rest of them gulped and pulled Gandi away to calm him down. When thy approached the main hall and saw the ruined floor, blood splatter on the wall and cracked pillars they just went to their quarters. "Sesshomaru can deal with this, it's his citadel."

The next morning saw two knew patients in the infirmary with severed limbs and the head of the guard meeting with Haru. "What should we do my lord? We can't give her food because she attacks everyone who come near the door, we are positive that she has weapons but we can't do anything due to the fact that she'll rip us apart even without her powers! How is she that strong!" lord Haru simple sighed. "Don't feed her, she can go without food till Sesshomaru comes back without weakening and she is the shikon miko, don't underestimate her." At this he felt the presence of Rin and shippo outside the doors to his quarter. Being that he was the only Japanese daiyoukai in the fortress, Haru took charge. "Come in." it was rin who spoke. "We want to see our mother. This is MY citadel so you are not going to stop us, we just thought you should know. We are also taking bedding and food with us." Haru nodded. "I think that may just be what we need to calm her down enough. You may go but we are going to lock you in there with her." Rin and shippo nodded and the tree of them went down to the dungeons. Kagome stood in the center of the cell and the moment the door opened she pulled them behind her and lunged at Haru. As soon as the door closed kagome turned to the children and enveloped them in a small hug. "Shippo-kun what's wrong with mother she seems different." Shippo nodded. "Mother is in hunter mode, she was separated from both her prey and her pups. This is what happens when demon instincts take full control, mother is very stressed right now so she can't form coherent thoughts. She can't really understand who is who and she is feeding off of her fear. That's why she attacked Haru; he was scared so she thought of him as prey." "Why doesn't mother just change to demon mode?" at this shippo smirked. "Even when we lose control we still remember our promises, so as long as mama is in the western lands she needs Sesshomaru's permission to transform." Rin nodded and started to set up the bedding the maids gave her into a pile in the corner and put the food on the futon. Her and shippo curled up on the pile and kagome curled around him.

The next two days proceeded in the same manner. Kagome watched the children nudging them every so often the direction of food or water. Her china dress had blood stains on it but the children didn't care. She had protected them as she had promised and now it was their turn. Kagome was awak but she couldn't do anything to take care of her demon without transforming and was forced to watch and giggle whenever rin and shippo growled at who ever came near the door. Rin who spent the last few years with demons had a very impressive growl.

Sesshomaru (pov)

I walked through the courtyard to my citadel and already could tell something was off. Where was rin? She usually greeted me upon my return and due to the mikos personality should she not be angry and waiting to yell at me for leaving and not letting her know till I was an hour away, or to ask me what the dispute was about. I opened the door and a growl slipped passed my lips. The floor was destroyed, the pillars were cracked , there were body imprints on the wall and a blood stain that ran diagonally up the wall for a little bit and a blood stain on my floor. "Shira." I merely had to speak before she was there. "Where are the guests?" I asked as I began to walk to my study. "In their quarters my lord." "And the onnas?" "Well…one of them is that impressive stain you see my lord, six of them are in protective custody from the miko and three have fled." "And prey tell where are the miko and the pups." "In protective custody in the dungeons." At this I was shocked. "Who is she being protected from?" at this Shira grimaced. "Actually my lord it's for our protection." I stopped. "Why are the pups with her then?" "It was the only way to calm her down enough to not injure whoever walked in front of her cell." I turned. "Get the quartermaster to take care of the mess downstairs. I want it exactly how I left it by tomorrow." She nodded and disappeared into a puff of smoke. I continued down to the dungeon surprised to hear growling coming from one of the cells. Even more surprised to see it was rin and shippo growling as kagome slept. Once I stepped in front of the cell they stopped. "Papa!" "Sesshomaru!" kagome only opened and eye and seeing it was I, went back to sleep.

(Normal POV)

Sesshomaru stood in front of the cell. "What, happened?" shippo was the first to speak. "We can explain later but you need to give mother permission to transform so mama can take back control." Sesshomaru threw up a barrier to block youkai. "Hnn, miko…transform." Kagome nodded and was surrounded by and angry red light as she stood a kitsune. Her eye almost immediately turned blue. "Oh thank Kami!" she rolled her shoulders and cracked her neck. "I couldn't risk taking control and breaking my human form I just had to recede…but I regret nothing. That wench had it coming." Sesshomaru opened the door. "Go bathe, and change and then meet me in my study so you can explain what happened." Kagome nodded and changed back into her human form as she walked passed Sesshomaru she pulled out the chopstick that was lodged in the wall and slid it in her boot. "Rin will you run to my room and grab me something to wear and something for yourself so we can bathe." Rin nodded and took off running. "Shippo tomorrow you can bathe with me but it's Rin's turn and your too old to bathe together." Shippo nodded and took off and kagome bowed to Sesshomaru and left.

Kagome stood before the springs and started to undress when rin ran in. "Mama someone destroyed all of your clothes." Kagome sighed. "Can you get a maid to bring me something to wear temporarily? I know I have at least three kimonos in the wash but I doubt they are done yet." Rin nodded and came back in with a plain pink kimono, in fact it was just a bigger version of the one that she had brought. Kagome took it and set it down by the towels and they both got undressed and bathed and got dressed. "I'll need you and shippo to tell him your portion of the story before I arrived." Rin nodded and they took off to get shippo.

Kagome stood behind rin and shippo as they told how the women surround him and started pushing him around and he couldn't do anything because he doesn't strike women unless it's on the battlefield. Rin came and commanded them to stop and they told her that they don't have to listen because sesshomaru's not there. Then the ring leader slapped rin as pay back for humiliating her at dinner. Kagome nodded and retold what happened. "I demand the rest of the women's BLOOD" "Miko control your demon." "OH THAT'S NOT MY DEMON THAT'S ALL ME!" Sesshomaru pinched the bridge of his nose. "They have been threatening me, degrading me, they touched my children not to mention rin is your daughter as well, and they destroyed all of my personal belongings! Do you know what was among the items broken!? DO YOU? RIN'S BIRTHDAY PRESENT!" kagome counted backwards from ten. "Shippo and I are going on a trip, for a week, we'll be back soon…and we are leaving immediately. She turned and left, rin and shippo in tow and not even waiting for consent. He could only sigh and began on the paperwork that had stacked up. 'why do I even bother with her' 'you like the challenge.'
