After some life-threatening experiences he got in the past several arcs, Tagiru is set for another adventure as this time he goes INTERNATIONAL as he gets to play a paid "treasure hunter" in which things would get out of control once he gets in to the face of this arc's antagonists, which Yuu Amano gets dragged along for the ride which also involves their partner Digimons as their adventure takes them mostly within the European continent.

This chapter, Tagiru's first stop is in Africa, and there his "first mission" is to retrieve something that is considered a "treasure" and this means he's going to get in the faces of certain African tribes before taking off to his next destination…

Ch. 21: Afurika no Katsudō

Johannesburg, South Africa. The scene shifts outside that capital's international airport, where a portal linking it to the Digi-Quartz appeared, and Tagiru appeared holding a map while keeping Gumdramon inside his X-Loader as he look around seeing that he is outside the airport and realized that he has arrived in South Africa and is now making plans on where to go and which place he should head for knowing that he is setting off to his first mission: Kalahari Desert, where the first of two items is located, which is the missing piece of the legendary Armour of God.

"Okay...so far so good...huh?"

By then another stray Digimon appeared and is threatening to expose itself to several humans and there Tagiru went first, ready to get some actions which he brought out Sagomon and had him grab the stray Digimon and drag it inside the Digi-Quartz so that they can contain the situation without attracting attention. He came all the way here and he can't afford to get caught since he came to Africa illegally due to transversing via the Digi-Quartz.

After dealing with the situation, Tagiru went back and hails a taxi and asked him to take him to the nearest hotel, in which the driver obliges, and thanks to the foreigner whom Tagiru spoke to before accepting the offer, he was given $5,000 American Dollars to help him in his finances while in Johannesburg, and as he arrived at the nearest hotel, he settles there for the day while asking a staff about how to get to Kalahari Desert, which the staff is a bit curious given the teen's age.

"Um...hi."

"Hi...what can I do for you...?"

"I'd like a room, please..."

"Sure...I'll handle it...anything else?"

"Can I ask about how to get to Kalahari Desert...?"

"Why?"

"Well..."

"Can you tell me why? Considering your age..."

After giving a "convincing alibi", Tagiru was given the answers that he need, and went to his hotel room to settle for the day as he planned to head to the desert via the Digi-Quartz and his looking forward to what he intends to do there while hoping not to run into trouble like Digimons and wild animals there. He was really looking forward to getting his "reward" once he acquires the two missing pieces of the Armour of God and he is getting excited over getting a huge reward from the man whom he accepted the offer.

Back at Kyoto, the scene shifts at the snack bar, where Taiki, and Yuu are eating their snacks and they noticed that Tagiru is not with them and they deduced that their friend has commenced his "mission" to go to Africa and retrieve one of the treasure parts that would comprise the "Armour of God", and Yuu is quite worried that Tagiru would get himself in tons of trouble knowing that he would jump first without thinking yet Taiki has high regards for him and assured that things would turn out well for Tagiru though Yuu is not so optimistic.

"I can't believe that Tagiru agreed to that foreign guy's promise of a good pay..."

"You worry too much..."

"Who wouldn't?"

"Tagiru knows what he's doing...if he sensed that he's being used, then he would've backed out..."

"But what if he's...?"

"Gumdramon's with him...so Tagiru should be okay..."

"You sure know that he's a magnet for trouble, you know that?"

"Not really..."

After that, the two fiends finished their snacks before paying, which they left the snack bar to head for school and hoped that Tagiru would find what he is looking for and return back from Africa so he can resume his schooling. They even hoped that Tagiru doesn't stumble in to any trouble since he is in Africa, where it is known for tribal wars somewhere within that continent.

The scene shifts somewhere within the European Union, where a certain scene zooms in at a mountainous area where a group of people, mostly men, are seen dressed like druids, and as the scene zooms further within the caves, you can see that a man, in his mid-40's, is sitting on what appeared to be a throne, and is watching over the people doing something sacrilegious, as if he is leading a secret cult, in which this mysterious group remained hidden and a secret from the outside world.

The scene later shows that the unidentified druids are bringing women, mostly prostitutes and had them perform lascivious acts while others appeared to be worshiping something yet the leader appeared to be unmindful of his followers and sat on his throne as he is awaiting news from one of his messengers after gaining an unspecified news over something he considers "very important topic".

Kalahari Desert...the next day...

Tagiru arrived and he slightly sagged as he didn't expect that the area he just arrived would be this...deserted...and hot. He wondered if he could really find the piece he was told to find, and as he sighed that he never thought that this task would be this easy, he decided to get a move on, only to encounter some trouble as the first 10 minutes came, as several wild animals, such as cheetahs and hyenas, came and are approaching Tagiru, which prompted him to bring out his Digimons, Gumdramon and Sagomon.

"Guys...!"

"What is it?"

"What are your orders?"

"Chase them away!"

"Okay!"

"As you command!"

"Just don't hurt them!"

"Okay!"

"We will!"

As the two Digimons went in to action, Tagiru opened his map and glances at it, looking at places he thinks would where the missing piece might be hiding, and after a few minutes, the Digimons are finished chasing off the animals and there Gumdramon asked if he has found a lead to where the missing piece of the Armour of God is hidden, and when he is walking the desert, he is being harassed by game hunters and began bullying the teen by firing their rifles, but this ticked Gumdramon as he evolved to Arresterdramon and scars the hunters away with his size, which the teen thanked his partner for it.

An hour later, Tagiru took a rest from walking and drank water as they yielded zero results on their search, but then they came across what appeared to be a village, where some tribesmen, who appeared to be oblivious to the present-day culture, are seen worshiping a large skull mask-like boulder, and there he got an idea on how to sneak in and see if the item he is supposed to find is there, and talked to Gumdramon about the plan.

"Gumdramon..."

"What is it?"

"Listen up..."

"Huh?"

"Bzzz...bzz..."

"Hmm...okay..."

"And make sure you distract them..."

"Got it!"

Gumdramon got the idea and agreed to it and he took a microphone and an English-African dictionary so he can form phrases and sentences to distract the tribesman while Tagiru went inside the boulder and begin searching, which after a minute he found what he is looking for: the sword piece that is part of the Armour of God, and he carefully took it out and secured it, and waved at his Digimon partner that he got what he needed, but then one of the tribesmen noticed him and alerted his fellow tribesmen and Tagiru gasped as the tribesmen began throwing their spears at him, and he began running with Gumdramon mounting on his partner' head.

As they ran, they came across another tribesman which Gumdramon jumps forward and uses his tail to disable their attacker, which Tagiru took a rather long wooden shield and continued running until they came across a cliff and realized that they are facing a dead end, but with Gumdramon's urging, the teen uses the wooden shield to slide down the mountain slope, which he did, and gets a head start, though the tribesmen followed suit.

Seeing that he might get caught, Tagiru took out his X-Loader and opened the portal to the Digi-Quartz and entered, before he closes it, and by the time the tribesmen arrive, they are mystified as they lost their target.

To Be Continued…

Hope you liked this chapter of this new arc, and I apologize if this came out rather late, as I was busy with work and I had to re-watch Armour of God in order to replicate some of the plot that I am using in this arc. At least this completed 25% of this arc as Tagiru got the first piece and is on the way to retrieve the other.

Looks like Tagiru is going "international" again as he is now heading for his next destination via the Digi-Quartz and Planemon, and with Gumdramon in for the ride, expect our heroes to get in to some more "tribal troubles" should he encounter some "tribal warriors" and even militia men...
