Hi everyone. I apologize for not posting for a while. YamiChaos27 gave me a way to refresh my mind with the King of Thieves storyline. However I've also been busy keeping up with college and working on the rewrite of my book. Admittedly I've also been distracted by watching walkthrough videos for The Walking Dead games from TellTale. I'll try to do better in the future.

Chapter 21: Father and Son

Shadow was massaging his aching shoulder. "Geez, that mouse was a pain." He said aloud. He had not expected such a small opponent to be so powerful. Maleficent, Xemnas, and Ansem talked about the King being powerful with the keyblade, but Shadow thought that was an understatement now.

From the side Xigbar chuckled. "And that's what you get when you take you're opponents lightly," He said.

Shadow glared at him before saying, "You know, you failed to mention that the Princess also had a keyblade,"

"We figured she wouldn't have nearly as much battle experience as Sora or Riku. By herself, she shouldn't be too much of a problem. But keep your guard up. Who knows what a Princess of Heart with a keyblade is capable of? On the other hand, now that you've made quite a spectacle of yourself to the Keyblade Meddlers, they won't let their guards down either. I suggest you be more patient in your approach from now on," Saïx said.

Shadow rolled his eyes. "Hmph. Whatever." He said as he turned his back on them.

Xigbar held up his hands before saying, "Hey! What's with the attitude?"

"I still don't understand why I'm here." Shadow replied.

Xigbar shrugged. "Well, it's gotta be better than floating around in Lanes between, right?" He asked.

Shadow stood up. Walking over to Xigbar, he said as he stared him in the eye, "I don't remember ever asking for your help."

"You know, you have a weird way of showing gratitude." Xigbar said.

Saïx looked at him before saying, "Shadow. We have given you a purpose, have we not? Considering your situation isn't that enough? All you have to do is use your keyblade to capture the hearts of the Seven. You help us get what we want, and simultaneously you'll be getting what you want as well. Understood?"

Shadow glared at them before walking away. "Why do I even bother? These imbeciles aren't worth dirt. Still, it's not like I have any other choice right now." He thought to himself. As he continued to wander in his thoughts he remembered the red-haired princess he had encountered. "That face..." he whispered. He thought about it for a second but then shook his head. "That rodent must've hit my head harder than I thought," he grumbled.

On board the Gummi Sora and his group headed out from Radiant Garden. Even though plans had been laid out Sora couldn't help but feel some guilt in his heart. He should've kept an eye on the Organization while he and Riku were fighting Shadow, but he didn't and someone paid the price.

"Are you okay, Sora?" Goofy asked.

Sora shook his head. "I can't stop thinking about how mad Jason was. He always seemed like a grouch, but the look on his face…I can't stop thinking I should've done more,"

"Oh, he's just a big palooka. How were we supposed to know Xemnas was going to pull something like that?" Donald said.

"Don't worry, Sora. Everybody slips up sometimes, and I know that for a fact. But just because you make a mistake don't mean you should give up. Just learn from it and try again." Goofy encouraged him.

"Yeah." Donald agreed.

Sora nodded. "You're right. All we can do is keep the Organization from striking again."

Meanwhile Phil was trying to keep his focus on the game he was playing. He was worried because it had fallen to their group to take Aurora with them, and from what Phil remembered at school she was not a team player. Phil had decided the best way to stay on her good side was to not get in her way.

"You still playing that thing?" Phil heard Aurora ask. He peeked over the top of his game to see Aurora staring at him. Phil meekly nodded, afraid he was going to get slugged. Aurora shook her head and walked away. Phil sighed. At least he wasn't going to have a throbbing headache.

The ship rocked, throwing Phil out of his seat. Aurora was losing her balance, but she managed to regain it by putting her arms on either side of the corridor. As soon as she was steady, Aurora headed for the cockpit, Phil not far behind them. The two of them knew what this meant, and they needed to get into position.

As they reached the cockpit they saw lots of Heartless flying towards them. They were the same ones that they encountered when they first went to Agrabah, and they looked mad. Phil grabbed the weapon controls and began to fire. "And my parents said gaming is a waste of time?" Phil thought to himself.

He was able to quickly adjust whenever the Heartless would break formation and regroup elsewhere. Phil's fingers were a blur as he aimed and fired, blasting several Heartless with the push of a button or the pull of a trigger.

"Incoming," Aurora warned. Everyone looked to see a Heartless that looked like a combination of a thunderhead and a scorpion. It had a black, cloudy body with legs shaped like bolts of lightning. The tail was shaped like a big bolt with a deadly stinger shooting sparks of electricity. All eight yellow eyes were glaring at them.

"That's a big Heartless," Phil said.

"Obviously," Aurora said.

The stinger shot forward and the ship had to do a barrel roll to avoid it. Aurora managed to land on her feet, but Phil kept falling over. Even though the stinger missed, bolts of lightning struck out, some managing to tear pieces off the wings.

"Quick, fire at the stinger. That's usually where the weak spot is," Phil said as he grabbed the controls again. Aurora shook her head and grabbed the other controller. Both of them fired in rapid succession at the giant heartless, but most of the shots just hit the tail.

The monster turned to face them again and struck out with its stinger. Phil pushed the buttons like his life depended on it. He made direct hits, but there was no indication that the Thunder Sting, as Phil decided to call it, was hurt. If anything, it looked like they had only ticked it off.

"We should be out of reach soo—what?" Donald gasped as the Thunder Sting leapt over them and landed not too far. From its cloudy body came four claws lined with serrated edges crackling with lightning.

"Oh, come on!" Phil said.

One of the claws reached out and grabbed the gummi. Controls sparked and sputtered at the grip of the arachnid tightened. Slowly they were pulled to a large, gaping opening below the Thunder Sting's eyes.

"It's gonna eat us!" Goofy cried out as he hugged Donald for comfort. Donald's arms swung wildly as he tried to get free.

Phil doubled his button pushing. Several of his blasts hit the eyes, but they didn't do anything. Did this Heartless have nerves of steel or what? It had to have a weak spot somewhere and if he was going down he was going to find it first.

One of his blasts entered the Thunder Sting's mouth. The creature roared and threw them. As they spun Phil noticed the claws moved to a position in front of its mouth. The mouth was the weak spot! The claws must serve as a way to keep it safe before it moved in for the attack.

"There it is!" Sora said as he pointed. Everyone looked to see the city of Agrabah in the distance. Donald finally broke free of Goofy and put the pedal to the metal. The gummi flew at an alarming speed to the city.

Phil saw he was back in the same outfit he wore the last time he came to Agrabah. Aurora was a little more attention grabbing. She was dressed in black pants with a blue top. The gap between them was hardly noticeable. Her arms were completely bare, but she did have a veil over her mouth. She wondered what was up with the pointed shoes.

Phil wolf-whistled. Aurora slugged him. Hard.

"Looks like Genie got the place fixed up," Sora said.

Aurora looked at him. "Did you say genie? Does it grant wishes?" She asked.

"Don't get any ideas. He's a free genie now," Donald said. Phil snapped his fingers.

Then there came an ominous whirring sound. Everyone turned to see a robot coming up from the floor. It had what looked like missile launchers for arms and a face that could only be described as bearded.

"You have violated the perimeter of the Aladdin-Jasmine wedding. Prepare to be vaporized. Thank you." The robot said as it fired lasers. Everyone had to duck to avoid being hit.

"Alright then. We've caught some of the…Sora! Donald! Goofy! Phil!" Said a voice that sounded like the robot, except not as mechanical. Aurora looked up to see a blue figure with gold manacles and a red sash appear and hug Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Phil at once with such vigor Aurora thought he was going to suffocate them.

As soon as he saw her, Genie dropped the others and looked at her suspiciously. "And who is this? A spy? For the Forty Thieves?" He asked as he changed into a police officer.

"No, that's Aurora. She's a friend," Phil said quickly. Genie stared at her for a few minutes before he changed into a pink plant-like thing with big green eyes while retaining his goatee, ponytail, and ears.

"I'm enchanted to meet you, friend of Sora," Genie said in a girly voice.

"So, uh, what's with that robot over there?" Goofy asked.

Genie changed back to his regular self before explaining, "Security measure for the wedding. It's going to be low key, only friends and family. This thing is armed and dangerous. I'd like to see them Forty Thieves get within an inch to your wedding," While he was talking they were approached by two men, a monkey, and a parrot.

The parrot, Iago, as Phil thought it was named, cleared his throat. "Allow me to introduce…" He began as he gestured to the man he was standing on the shoulder of. He was dressed in a blue cape with a black outfit underneath. He had black hair with a matching beard, though it was starting grey. Something about him seemed familiar to Phil, but he couldn't place his hand on it.

The man chuckled before answering, "The King of Thieves."

"What?" Sora, Donald, and Goofy asked in unison before drawing their weapons. Phil and Aurora were not too far behind them, but Genie had a plan in place.

"All units. We have a breach. Code Red!" Genie cried into a walkie talkie. Soon all the entrances were sealed tight by huge iron doors while a lot of S.W.A.T. uniformed genies appeared around them aiming guns at the King of Thieves.

Even Aurora had to admit the security this genie had was impressive.

"Don't move or we'll be shooting ourselves," Genie ordered. Aurora rolled her eyes at that.

"Genie," The younger man said as he struggled to get through.

"Back off Al, this guy's got a yellow sheet as long as my arm." Genie said.

"Genie, meet my dad," the guy named Al said. Aurora didn't know who looked more surprised, Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Phil, or Genie. However she had to admit she could see the family resemblance between the two of them.

"That's your dad?" Phil asked. Meanwhile Genie turned back to normal and approached the man.

"If you're Al's Dad, and the King of Thieves, I just want to know one thing," Genie said in a threatening tone.

"Yeah?" The King of Thieves replied.

Genie turned into a butler before asking, "Will you be having the chicken or the sea bass?"

"Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Aladdin's Father," Goofy said as he held out his hand to the King of Thieves. He didn't take it.

"It's okay Dad. These guys are my friends," Al gestured to Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Phil.

"I hardly know you," Aurora said.

"Oh that's right. You weren't with us last time," Phil said.

"Aladdin's really cool. You're going to like him," Sora said. Aurora merely turned away.

"You're going to love it here Dad. I can't wait to introduce you to Jasmine and the Sultan," Aladdin was saying.

"Uh, Al, have you forgotten about the 'Agrabah's Most Wanted' look?" Genie asked.

"If we take him in as he is, we may as well be saying 'Please arrest this guy'," Phil said.

"Yeah," Donald agreed.

"So what do you suggest?" Iago asked.

"If no one saw your face, you could pass with a disguise," Phil said.

"Perfect. Then you two will be together as father and son," Genie said.

I may come back and edit this a little later. I'm not sure, but I feel something's still missing here. I just can't put my finger on it. I may have to adjust the storyline a little bit.
