Jacob didn't want to believe. He couldn't believe it. Was what embry's uncle say true? Embry and Bella? His best friend and his other bet friend? Jacob felt… betrayed. How could they? How could embry?! He knew how he felt about Bella! And he had been going behind his back! He was ready to rip embry a new one.
Embry sat in the canoe, mouth wide open as he listened to the secrets his grandfather held. Billy black was NOT his father…but his uncle? It turns out Billy black had an older brother who left the reservation at a young age. Somehow, his father met his mother and they hooked up. It had been a one-night stand. His mother had left the next morning and never contacted his father. However, his father had somehow found his mother. He wanted more then just that one night, but his mother didn't want anything to do will him. So he left. Of course, 9 months later embry was born and his mother went to find his father. It just so happened that his father was in town. She somehow found his address and went to find him But the problem was William black his paternal grandfather wasn't going to have some half breed in his tribe. He sent tiffany away. His father never found out about embry and left that same day. Benjamin found out what William did and demanded payment for embry. William refused but instead made a deal. He would provide tiffany and her son with sanctuary and make sure they were taken care of only and if only embry's parentage was not revealed. That of course put everyone in a predicament. Benjamin knew tiffany would never accept charity, so he drove her away. Forced her unto la push lands and forced her to take the deal. Would she leave him too?
"are you going to leave me too?" he asked her.
Bella looked at the love of her life. He was so tired and so was she. Even though they had been asleep for two whole weeks their bodies were still adjusting. She knew he was still hungry too, the sandwiches they had were not enough, and hearing the truth about his father was enough to break him.
"I'm not going anywhere embry. You know that." she whispered to him
Embry nodded. Of course, she wasn't going to leave him. he knew better but his heart and mind were just too raw with the revelation of his father.
"What is his name?" embry asked as he stared at the choppy waters of the beach.
His grandfather was quiet. "WHAT WAS HIS NAME!" embry shouted, rocking the boat.
"Joseph! Joseph black but you should know he changed his last name to his mothers maiden name which is Peterson."
Without thinking, embry jumped out the boat and into the water. He needed to cool down and get away from the lies. He heard a splash as he began to swim away. looking back. He could see Bella swimming after him.
"Babe? No? what are you doing? The beach water will hurt your injuries." He said as he took her in his arms.
"ill be fine, come on. Let's find some dry land. You need to phase."
Embry sighed and made Bella get on his back. The sun was setting by now. He had to hurry.
