Okay, so I'm feeling evil today. I'm combining option one and three. There will be a sequel with the alternate endings.
Sherlock clutched John to him, panicking at the amount of blood that he appeared to have lost. Then the paramedics were pulling him away and putting him on a stretcher. He clung to John's hand as they clambered into the Ambulance.
The ride was confusing. About three minutes from the hospital, John stopped breathing. The paramedics did CPR and Sherlock clung to his hands and prayed that he would live. But the machine they had hooked him up to had started shrieking. It was too loud. Wrong. Wrongwrongwrong.
They were at the hospital. John was being taken away. Sherlock struggled against the security guard but it was futile. Then a doctor was coming out and saying things he didn't want to hear. Wrong things. No. The doctor led him to the morgue. Wrong place. This wasn't right.
Sherlock ran. He ran up and up and up, until he couldn't and then he decided that falling was better than flying without John.
If he had just told John, John would have stayed. Everything would be fine. But no. He was a coward.
Afraid to say the words.
