Piper

The next morning I woke up in on Jason's bed. He must have carried me upstairs, when I fell asleep. At first I was disoriented. Fear coursed through me, as I thought I was in Octavian's palace. Then that memory came back, and I was left wondering why the forest ground was so soft. Finally, it dawned on me that I was in the prince's room.

I lifted by head to survey my surroundings and I saw him on a couch nearby. I jumped out of bed, as quietly as I could, and started to move, toward his sleeping body. Even though I was annoyed by the idea of him refusing my request, I couldn't help but smile, as I thought back to the sweet gesture. I would have to thank him for that. If I had any remaining anger at him, that left, instantly, as I saw his sleeping body. His face seemed so innocent in his sleep. He looked younger, as well. A smile crept up his face, as I gently brush some strands of hair off of it.

"Hey Jason? Are you awake?" I asked, quietly; just in case he was still sleeping.

"Leave me alone Thals" He mumbled, turning away from me.

"I'm not Thals" I whispered in his ears. That seemed to get his attention, because his body suddenly jerked upwards and he sat up straight.

"Good morning" I sang.

"Piper?" he asked, He was probably confused by my actions. If he was, I wouldn't blame him.

"Yea it's me" I confirmed.

"Hey about the bed thing…." He started.

"I'm sorry" I interrupted. "I shouldn't have acted like that, at all. You were showing me hospitality and I was so mean to you. I'm sorry" I rambled.

"So we're in good terms?" he asked, still disoriented.

"The best" I confirmed.

He smiled. "Now that your back, what would you like to do?"

"Get back at Octavian" I muttered.

"Who?" asked Jason.

"The guy who kidnapped me" I said in a matter-of-factually tone.

"Oh…me too" he replied.

"What?"I asked

"I want to get back at him" he stated.

"Why" I questioned.

Jason seemed to be keeping his cool, but I could have sworn seeing a faint pink line forming across his cheeks. "Because he took you" he said.

"Why does that concern you?" I asked; I was smiling.

Suddenly a guard entered "Prince Jason, you've been called by Prince Nico"

Jason immediately went for the door, and quickened his pace when I called saying, "This isn't over!"

Jason

I can truthfully say that I don't understand girls at all. One moment they're upset, the next they act like nothing ever happened. My conversation with Piper replayed in my head. What did I do right, to get her into a good mood? What did I do wrong, to get her in a bad mood, yesterday? The whole thing was confusing.

Soon I found myself walking into the bedroom Nico was using. It was painted all black and had some skull decorations across it. When the prince's came Leo made sure they were absolutely at home and decided to let them do anything to the rooms, but he did caution Percy not to do anything of that sort (Painting), because he was borrowing Piper's.

"What do you need Prince Nico?" I asked formally.

Nico scowled. "Just Nico, please. The whole prince thing just irritates me" he stated. I nodded in agreement; I felt the same way.

"So what do you need Nico?" I said correcting myself.

"Nothing, I thought I'd make a suggestion, that's all" he said.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Would it be alright if we had a war meeting the day after tomorrow? The "King" seems to be advancing his kingdom and killing the innocent, from what our friends tell us. We must act quickly." He stated.

I nodded, grimly. The whole thing was advancing rapidly. If we didn't act now it would blow up in our faces. "That seems practical. I'll inform everyone of the meeting. Thank you for your suggestion Nico" I said before leaving.

Piper

I walked out of the bathroom, smiling. Lily had made a wonderful bath for me and I was happy and relaxed. I headed toward the closet, but found a gorgeous green dress lying on the bed. Lily walked in the room smiling. "Prince Jason said you might like it" She explained, before walking out.

I examined the dress more closely. The fabric had a smooth and soft texture to it; it was made out of silk. The dress hand a few jewels on it, not changing its appearance, but enhancing its beauty. It wasn't too fancy, but it wasn't plain either. When I looked even closer, I saw two deep nicely concealed pockets on either side of the dress. A belt also wrapped around its waste; attached to the belt was my knife. Overall the dress was amazing, I loved it. I quickly put in on, smiling like an idiot. I normally wasn't a fan of these things, but this one was an exception. I grabbed a simple pair of flats before heading to the kitchen. After living out in the wild for two weeks I was looking forward to a nice meal.

"Shut up seaweed brain," a female voice muttered. It seemed to be coming from the corner. I quietly walked closer and saw Annabeth with someone. He was as tall as Jason. He had slightly tanned skin, raven black hair and sea green eyes. He was dressed in nice clothes as well. One glance, and you could tell he was royalty; no doubt he was one of the prince's who were visiting.

"No can do, wise girl" he replied. Annabeth blushed at this, but she remained strict.

"I'm serious Percy!" She said, looking slightly annoyed.

I leaned closer to see what they were doing; that was my mistake. My balance tipped forward and I fell forward. I quickly positioned my arms in front of me to lessen the impact. This seemed to get Percy's and Annabeth's attention because they both turned their heads toward me.

"Piper?" Annabeth asked she was starting to get red.

"Hi" I replied, trying to sound as casual as possible.

The guy next to Annabeth looked shocked and was turning red as well, probably from embarrassment.

"How long have you been there?" he asked.

"A while" I replied guilty.

They both stared at me speechless. What could they say in this situation?

"So…are you two, you know…" I asked, trying to make it less awkward.

I waited for their answer, but nothing came out of their mouths. I mentally cursed myself for slipping. I'm normally not a clumsy person, but when I do have my moments, they always land me in the worst situations.

"You know what? I have to go now" I said quickly before hurrying past them. What a weird day…
