New Clydesdale is a different sort of place. Gone are the cobbled streets and small houses. Forgotten are friendly greetings and warm smiles. Ignored are questions - an please, sir, can't you just tell us where Ace Street is? It will just take a minute!

But no pony has a minute to spare, and they walk past Cornflower am Jubilee as if the young mares are invisible. It makes the city seem that much larger, that much more intimidating, knowing that no pony is willing to help.

Not a single one.

And so the young fillies walk along the streets, making sure that their shoulders always brush, that there is no chance of being separated. It's clear that they may never find each other again, if they are.

"This is...different from what I expected," says Cornflower, an obvious note of disappointment in her voice. She is watching the street with wide eyes, wanting

Dreaming

Hoping that it isn't like this every where, that there's still a chance her dreams of grandeur might hold true.

Jubilee shrugs. "I don't think things are ever going to be what we expect, Cornflower. Not any more, at least. That would be too easy and Zecora said this wasn't going to be easy."

No. The zebra had warned them - their task would be harsh and cruel and dangerous - but needed, always needed, so hurry little ponies, and find the other Lights.

The impending disaster? It will be far worse than an eternal night.
