Okay everyone. Sorry I'm late. My computer crashed and this chapter got deleted so I was forced to rewrite the whole thing. and about the coin titles, I'm ditching those.

I hate it when people see me at the supermarket and they're like 'Hey, what are you doing here?' I tell them 'You know.. hunting elephants.'

I slowly walked toward Summer's section of the room. Once there Summer started folding her bed and getting things ready.

"So before we get started I might as well introduce you to everyone." She pointed over to the girl who owned all of the beauty products. "That's Violet Hellebore," Violet waved before going back to reading a textbook. Summer then pointed to the girl who had the trashed section of the room. "That's Natalie Torenia," Natalie looked up and tossed something to me. I caught it and saw that it was the pen from yesterday, I looked up at Natalie who winked.

"Keep it!" Summer then cleared her throat and moved on. She pointed at the last girl who had all the knives.

"And That's Luna Nightshade." Luna waved.

"I apologize for our behavior last night. We were drunk."

"I'm not apologizing!" Natalie called from her bed. Summer sighed and turned to me.

"Anyway, you know me but my last name is Iris"

"Alright so Violet Hellebore, Natalie Torenia, Luna Nightshade, and Summer Iris, That makes you team..."

"Salvation. or SLVN."

"Cool!"

"Well..." She looked at her teammates. "It has its ups and downs. Anyway! Shall we get started?"

"Oh! Yeah, I, Uh."

"Forgot your weapons? Yeah I noticed."

"I'll be right back." I quickly retrieved my weapons and the contacts from RWBY's dorm and went back to SLVN's dorm. Once I got back Summer took my stuff and immediately sent me down to Vale with a list of supplies. Since I hardly knew what I was getting, Summer sent Violet and Natalie with me. Luckily for me she sent me with the Taser.

I had to stop by RWBY's dorm first to get my money and drop of my Remnant I-pod but after that we went down to the ships and joined one of the flights to vale. I wished I could just fly down with my wings but since I had two other people with me that wasn't exactly and option.

Once we landed I handed Violet the list and we started walking. Our first stop was to get some dust canisters.

"But I already have dust canisters." Violet sighed.

"Yeah but when Summer's working on something she wants it done a specific way. You could ask her about it but she would give you a fifteen minute explanation on why these are better and such." Once we got to the shop we grabbed the canisters along with a few other parts and springs. Violet paid for them and we walked out of the store.

"I thought I was paying for this stuff. There for my weapons after all." Natalie walked up next to me and smiled.

"Were willing to help you out, But you'll owe us."

"But I didn't ask for help!" Violet handed me the bags.

"Oh well, we're helping anyway. You'll just have to repay us later." I had a feeling that owing these two was going to seriously hurt me in the long run.

We continued with our shopping for a few hours before Natalie started complaining.

"I'm hungry!" Violet groaned

"Yes Natalie we know you're hungry. You've said it TWENTY TIMES NOW!"

"Well I am!" I checked my scroll.

"Well it is two, we might as well stop someplace to eat since were only halfway through the list. Violet sighed.

"Fine."

It took us awhile to find someplace to eat because it was either a bad place by Violets standards, fully packed with people, or was currently closed. After about an hour of looking we finally found someplace that wasn't crowded and Violet knew to be a good place to eat. We walked in and the man at the front desk glared at me.

"We don't serve Faunus." I stared back at the man for a minute before Natalie walked up to him. she grabbed his collar and whispered something in his ear. After a second the man turned pale and nodded. He grabbed three menus and walked out from behind the desk. "Right this way." He led us to a private room and we sat down.

"What did you say to him?" Natalie shrugged.

"When Natalie gets really hungry she tends to get aggressive." I looked at Violet with a blank stare. She said it like it happened all the time. I shook my head and looked over the menu. Of course I didn't really recognize anything but then again, restaurants never really did make names for meals that made sense to me.

Once we made our orders we sat and discussed our plan for our shopping. Most of it was over my head since I had no idea what shops were where but I mostly just nodded and pretended like I knew what Violet and Natalie were talking about. (Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. I know you've done it too)

Eventually our lunches came and we grew quiet as we ate. We split the check between the three of us once we finished and then we continued on with our shopping.

After two hours of shopping, getting lost twice, and an incident with a plushy beowolf that I would never speak of, we were on our way back to the ship that would take us to Beacon. Unfortunately, Violate and Natalie made me carry everything.

"How's it going Nick?"

"I… hate… you." Violate just laughed until Natalie tapped her on the shoulder.

"Summer just sent me a message; she said she forgot to put snacks on the list."

"Alright, fine." We stopped at a grocery store and I stopped at the door. There was no way I was going to get the tower of stuff through.

"I'll just wait out here."

"Alright, we'll be quick." I found a bench and sat down. I set the mountain of stuff next to me and waited. My mind wandered and I thought back to when I was being held by Evander, and the month of torture that I endured. As my mind wandered my thoughts suddenly snapped back to one moment.

Raven scooted over to me. "There's something I need to talk to you about."

"Sure what is it?" I turned to Raven to see him looking through his pockets

"Come on... Where did I put it? Oh here it is!"

Raven fished out a card from one of his pockets and looked it over.

"The rest of my future is in this place so I guess I can hand this over to you." He handed the card to me with a smile.
"What is it?"

"You'll figure it out. Though I'm pretty sure she'll tell you before you learn it from Midas." On the front of the card was a picture of a sun inside a six pointed star and surrounded by a circle. I didn't recognize the art style but the picture took up most of the space on the card. Besides that it looked just like a credit card.

"Who's her? And who is Midas?"

"You'll figure out who Midas is later. But for now, you'll see who she is if you look on the back of the card." I flipped over the card and checked the back.

"Creator?"

"Yeah." He looked thoughtfully up at the single light in the room and I tried to think over the information he just gave me. "By the way, once you go into the world this belongs to and then leave, the card is going to break. I don't exactly know what will happen so be careful. And be sure to talk to her every once in a while, she gets lonely."

"Uh... What?"

"You'll understand soon enough."

"Hey! Nick!" Violate suddenly shoved me over.

"Hey! What was that for?"

"I tried calling your name five times but you didn't answer!"

"Oh. Sorry." I stood up and grabbed the mountain of bags without tipping them over.

"Alright let's go." We walked to the ships so we could head back to beacon. Unfortunately the mountain of bags couldn't fit through the door.

"Um… A little help?" Violet and Natalie stood behind me and looked at me.

"Nope."

"This is fun to watch." I sighed and set the bags down. After fifteen minutes of slowly unstacking the pile and restacking it inside the ship in three piles. I managed to get all of it in. Violate and Natalie then bored the ship and laughed

"Good job! I thought you would have knocked a few over!"

"Thanks a lot." Once we arrived back at Beacon we each grabbed a pile and got off the ship. Unfortunately, as soon as we got off Violet and Summer just put their piles on top of mine.

We eventually got back to SLVN's dorm after nearly dropping everything several times. The entire time Violate and Natalie were pointing me saying 'Don't drop it! Don't drop it!' I honestly should have just tased them.

Violate and Natalie strolled into the room and greeted Summer and Luna. Summer walked out of the room and looked over the mountain of stuff.

"I assume you got everything?"

"Yes."

"Is it heavy?"

"Yes!"

"Do you want help?"

"YES!" Summer began to laugh as she started taking bags from me and taking them inside.

"Anyway, thanks for getting the supplies. This will make it a lot more fun." She began to pick through the large pile in the center of the room until she found what she was looking for. "By the way, this is going to take all day and it would go faster if you guys left so..."

"Oh okay." I walked out of the room with Violate and Natalie.

"What about Luna?" Violate closed the door as she explained.

"Summer likes to talk with Luna about the weapon while she is working on it. Luna helps with ideas."

"Oh. Alright." we stood in silence for a minute before Natalie's scroll beeped. She pulled it out and checked the message.

"What is it?" Violate looked over Natalie's shoulder and read the message aloud.

"It's from Summer, it says 'I know you guys are just standing there. Go do something useful and practice for the competition.' Okay then I guess we should go."

"Wait, what competition?" Violet turned to me.

"Oh right. I suppose you were out cold when it was announced. You see-"

"EXPLAIN IT WHILE YOU'RE PRACTICING!" Summer shouted through the door. "YOU'RE ANNOYING!" We started walking down to the training room as Violate explained to me the competition that was going to occur at the end of the first semester.

"So basically all of the teams will get set up in different places all over the Emerald Forest. Once the competition starts last team standing wins." Wait for it...

"That doesn't sound to terribly hard." Wait for it...

"Yeah, it's meant fur everyone to show how they have developed as a team." Wait...

"Except I don't have a team." Almost...

"Yeah... That'll be a problem."

"If I'm lucky I guess I could try to avoid all the other teams until there are only a few left." C'mon...

"Hmm... I guess you could."

"Wait, but what if were in there for multiple days?" Waiting...

"Everyone will get a pack with just one days' worth of food and water. If you want more you'll either have to find, steal, or eliminate other people for it." That's not it...

"Well anyway, I'll just have to train as much as I can with my backpack until then."

"Oh... About that..." There it is. "Nobody gets to use their own weapons." I stopped walking and gave Violet a blank stare.

"Eh?"

"Yeah, we don't get to start with our weapons. But When someone's aura goes into the red they have to leave everything they have at that spot so if you take out the person with your weapon you'll be able to use it." I thought over this for a while.

"So what about my pistol and contacts?"

"I think those get taken as well. Everyone's weapons, side arms, whatever. Everyone has to turn them in. Once everyone has each person will be dealt a random weapon."

"Oh joy." We reached the training room and Natalie turned to me.

"Well now that were here were ditching you."

"What?" Natalie rolled her eyes.

"Well we can't have you seeing our strategies for the competition!" Violate and Natalie walking into the training room and left me in the hall. I decided to head for the library to see if I could study up and learn a thing or two and the Emerald Forest. I walked down to the library only to find it empty. Not as in no people empty. But empty empty.

"Sorry, were you hoping to do some studying for the competition?" The librarian walked from behind the counter.

"Did everyone check out all of the books?" The librarian nodded sadly.

"The day after it was announced everyone rushed in and got as many books as they were allowed to have. Even the history books are gone." I sighed and tried to think.

"If everyone is in such a rush to plan this out then what does everyone get from this anyway?" The librarian shrugged.

"Some just want to get a good grade, others want bragging rights, but for the rest there's a rumor going around that there will be a huge reward for the team that wins."

"Is the rumor true?"

"Even if I knew I couldn't say. But after all I'm the librarian. Do you honestly think I would be informed if there was?"

"I guess not. Anyway thanks!" I turned and started to walk out.

"Hold on."

"Yes?"

"You're Nick right, Nick Arcane?"

"Yes I am." The librarian thought for a minute. She walked up to me and looked around to see if anyone was listening.

"You know, I bet nobody has gone to the professors to see what they have for information." I pondered that for a minute. "If you don't have anywhere else to try you might as well see if they have anything that will help, especially Professor Port."

"Port? Why him?" She gave me a sarcastic look.

"Name one student that would WANT to stand around and listen to him ramble on."

"Point taken, thanks!"

"Anytime!" I left the library and ran around the school, finding any professor I could and asking them for help. Most of them had already let students borrow their books. As I continued to run around the school I became more and more discouraged, until I came across Port.

I found him out on a balcony looking out on the forest. I paused before walking out. It was times like this where I got the mini angel Nick on one shoulder and the mini devil Nick on the other.

"He could be a valuable source of info!"

"But he would go on for hours!"

"You have nowhere else to go."

"But you could go deaf from over exposure." Mini angel Nick put his hands over his ears and mini devil Nick crossed his arms and laughed, devilishly. "I have you there!"

"But you don't have teammates! You're already at a disadvantage! If you don't know anything either you're a sitting duck. Remember what happened last time you were in the Emerald Forest?" Mini devil Nick went silent. "That's what I thought."

I sighed and brushed off my shoulders, getting rid of the two little versions of me. I walked up next to Port and hoped for the best.

"Um, excuse me, Professor?" Port turned to me and smiled.

"Ah! Nick! Good to see you. I heard all about your great escape."

"Yeah... Most of it is probably a lie..." I mumbled as I looked at my feet.

"What?"

"Never mind! Anyway, I wanted to talk to you about the upcoming competition."

"Oh yes, I'm sure you'll do fine!"

"Yes, well I was wondering if you had any information that could help me out." Port's eyes lit up and I knew he was about to go into a speech.

"Oh really! Well, come with me!" I walked next to him as he led me to his class room. "So far none of the students have asked me for help though I can't imagine why." I didn't have the heart to tell him it was his long stories.

"No idea." He unlocked the room and led me inside. I closed the door behind me because after all, if he did have good advice then I wouldn't want anyone eavesdropping.

"Well I'm glad you came to me for help young man! I have lots of knowledge of the Emerald Forest." I perked up at this.

"Really?"

"Of course!" He waved me over and I stood next to his desk as he walked away to rummage through some drawers and shelves, and after a minute Port walked back over with about a dozen books and a few maps.

"Let's begin!" though instead of launching into a story of his past adventures he began to explain the competition. He started by explaining the basics which basically consisted of what Violet had told me. Once he finished with the basics he pulled out a map of the Emerald Forest. From there he began to teach me about the types of Grimm in the forest and about where they we located along with what okants grew where. I was surprised by the vast amounts of knowledge Port could share if he wasn't rambling on about his old stories in classes. After a few hours of study Port gathered up his books.

"It's getting late young man! You should go get some rest I'm going to teach you more tomorrow!"

"You'll teach me more?" Port laughed.

"Of course! You did ask for help after all! I expect you to be here at eight 'o'clock tomorrow morning!"

"Thank you!" I left the room and closed the door. I figured I would go check Summers progress in the meantime.

And as you can see, this chapter is a lot longer then the recent ones! Now I know what I'm doin with the story so I'll be able to post long chapters on time. Thanks for being patient and waiting because you don't have to wait anymore!
