Chapter 21-Lair of the Wights

The flying ship we stood on was hovering about 10 feet above a river of lava, the streams of lava was strong and even if we somehow don't get burnt we would get washed away. The sky was still magenta, and I knew that we were still on our beloved BladeRealm. The ship flew across the air as it followed the streams of lava for a few minutes before coming to a sudden stop with a jerk.

'What the?' Said Akira.

We glance upon our surrounding, we were about to come to the end of the valley which the river flows through and almost the end of the river itself, the ship had stopped right behind the corner.

'Why did we stop?' Asked Xend as he approached the captain quarters where Jacob and Katherine were.

'You guys can get off here and scout the area, the Wight Pact is just down the lava fall.' Said Katherine.

'Aren't you coming with us?' Asked Akira.

'We will, later.' Said Jacob.

'Alright see you round.'

We flew off the ship and landed on the hills just at the peak and peered over to see a large base populated with Wights roaming around making a huge hustle and bustle in town.

'There it is.' Said Kaitlin as she pointed at the town.

'What's the plan, how do we get inside?' I asked.

'Hmm…'

Then I glanced over to see a huge monument slightly south of the town, it was a tall rocky structure chained to a platform on the ground. That was when I tapped my forehead and the Eye of the Gods was summoned, I looked at the structure again with the Eye and I could see it was shrouded densely with Wight aura, although some Titan aura made up some of it.

'Look at that thing over there.' I said and pointed at the monument.

'What's that?' Asked Kiera.

'It has Titan and Wight aura, probably something to do with Vorshea.' I replied.

'Should we go there instead then?' Asked Akira, while he scratched his forehead.

'Kaitlin?' I asked.

'Hmm…I recall Tharkesh bringing some stolen blood back home, why isn't Vorshea awaken yet? That monument could be a trap.' Asked Kaitlin.

'Maybe, not sure he knows about the eye. If he does then he could be setting a trap.' I said.

'How about this we split up for now, some of us will go check out the monument and the rest will check on the town.' Xend suggested.

'Yeah, good plan, Akira and Xend you can head to town, the rest we shall head to the monument.' Said Kaitlin.

Everyone nods and heads off to their designated task.

Kiera and I followed Kaitlin towards the rocky towering monument that stood in the distance, lay enchained to the platform, although it was quite prominent it held many secrets.

After a few minutes of stealthily trudging through the rocky wastelands, we arrived at the monument which was situated in a bunch of trees, away from direct sight from town as the foot was well hidden from the dense vegetation. I glanced around to take a good look at the surroundings, I realized that the place was scarce of any living things apart from the plants which were coming close to death as their leaves are starting to decay and starting to fall.

'Look at this place, it's a wasteland.' I said, while glancing around.

'Yeah, no wonder it's so rocky and deserted.' Said Kiera.

Any living thing that catches sight of this monument would certainly be sent scampering just looking at it, as its monstrous aura fends off just about anything, except us we are here to find out what Tharkesh has done and kill him.

As we inched closer to the monument we could feel the effects of it as well, it was extremely vivid to us that something disastrous was about to occur before our very eyes as the ground started to rumble slightly, the pebbles begin to levitate, hovering over the rubble, something was about to rise…

'What's going on?' Asked Kiera anxiously.

'It could be them, prepare to battle.' I said as I drew my sword.

Kaitlin and Kiera did too as the monument cracked leaking out the scarlet ominous glow that rests within it, something was about to emerge from it. As the sounds of the cracking grew louder, and more frequent as the whole structure was nearly covered in cracks already.

Suddenly the monument shatters and emerged from the monument was a gigantic creature, the Wight Titan, Vorshea.

'Uh oh.' I said softly.

He stood over 50 feet tall and had grey skin from head to toe, he had a long mane from the back of his head to his spine which was dark reddish brown.

Vorshea stepped out from his dormant slumber and stepped onto the solid earth, he made a thunderous roar and stared at us with his glowing red eyes.

'Get out of here!' Yelled Kaitlin and we took off to the skies to escape the wrath of this titan.

'What's our plan?' I asked.

'We find Akira and Xend and fight him.' She said.

Looks like a big battle is about to commence.
