Crona kept a tight grip on Ragnarok as he slashed at Sider. 'My head feels dark, but I'm still somewhat in control.' Crona thought as he stared into Sider's dark eyes. The two had been fighting for a while, but Crona's body felt completely light.

"You still there idiot?" Ragnarok asked. Crona simply smiled and nodded his head. Crona may be in control for the most part, but his body and mind were still being influenced by the Black Blood's madness.

Sider tried to grab hold of a large piece of rubble. Crona narrowed his eyes at the stone, and ran his hand along Ragnarok's blade. Crona's blood quickly formed into a long needle, piercing the stone and turning it to gravel at Sider's feet. Crona smiled big at Sider's angry look.

"Ey Lad, what are ya smilin for? You haven't bested me yet." Sider smiled and tightened his grip on his sword.

Crona kept silent, and just stared straight threw to Sider. Crona began to notice the madness that surrounded them was growing and shrinking slightly, and then drastically decreasing all of a sudden, but kept what little focus he had on the enemy in front of him.

Ragnarok noticed the shift in madness as well, and tried to look towards where the hosts were fighting Sherwood, but Sider attacked before the weapon could get a good look.

Crona put Ragnarok up defensively as Sider slashed at them with full force. Crona expected to feel the attack at any second, but when he looked up he saw Haruhi and Tamaki standing in front of him. Sider just stared at the two in anger, and Crona's smile turned down.

Sider tried to attack again, but Tamaki and Haruhi attacked first, sending Sider a few feet back.

"I guess those two took care of Sherwood. I'm almost impressed." Ragnarok said with a slight laugh. Crona looked at the weapon with a blank stare.

"Not exactly." A familiar voice said.

Crona felt his heart skip as he heard the voice. He suddenly felt like he was back in that warm place again, he could almost hear the ocean. He felt a strong but gentle hand grab his shoulder.

"Crona?"

Crona decided this had to be his psyche beginning to drift, and he was ok with that if it meant seeing her.

Crona crooked his head, and his pale eyes stared back at the familiar figure. The pigtails, the warm smile, the kind eyes, it was Maka. She seemed so real, Crona felt his eyes begin to water. He knew she couldn't really be here, and that he should be fighting any sort of tricks his maddening mind might play, but how could he ignore his closest friend?

"Hey, don't start crying silly. We've still got a fight to finish." Maka said in a sweet tone as she kept a tight grip on Soul's weapon form, even he seemed real.

Crona nodded his head and agreed with his delusion. Real or not she was Maka, and its usually a good idea to obey what she said. She smiled brightly before she left to fight with Haruhi and Tamaki.

'This isn't like the other times my mind has slipped, but its ok.' Crona thought as he joined the fight. Tamaki and Haruhi kept attacking Sider's sides and blind spots. Crona watched as Maka attacked him head on, and was amazed by how real it seemed.

"Are we going to continue fighting, or are you going to keep standing around like an idiot?" Ragnarok asked.

Crona continued to be silent, and ran towards the kishin egg. Crona lept forward with the intention to attack Sider head on as well, but Sider suddenly grabbed a hold of Crona's entire body mid attack.

Haruhi, Tamaki and Maka stared in horror as Crona was held between both of Sider's hands. His arms were both stuck, and he could barely move Ragnarok. Ragnarok tried to reform onto Crona's back, but with the way Crona was being held Ragnarok couldn't get threw.

"You probably thought you had me there for a while, didn't you Swordsmen?" Sider began to tighten his grip on Crona, causing him to let out a small choked scream. Crona could barely feel any pain, but he knew his bones were close to breaking as Sider tightened his grip. Crona's pale eyes stared up at the smiling kishin egg. "Let's see if your smilin after I've ripped you in two!"

"Witch Hunter!" Within a second Crona saw Soul Eater's blade in front of his face, and then the scythe was cutting straight threw Cider's arms. Crona felt the tight grip loosen as he started falling to the ground.

Sider began to scream and curse as he flailed the remainder of his arms. Crona stared up at him, and tried to figure out how what had just happened could have happened.

"Guess we owe flat chest now." Ragnarok said in a low tone.

"W-what?" Crona mumbled under his breath.

Sider was quickly knocked to the ground by both Haruhi and Tamaki, and standing behind the kishin egg was Maka. Crona kept his pale eyes on the girl he thought was a trick being played on his mind, but as his vision began to blur he couldn't help but think that he had been wrong.

"Crona! Are you ok?"

Crona heard her voice again, and tried to clear away his blurred vision. When he managed to open his eyes all he saw was sand and the ocean.

"Crona!" Crona felt a tight grip on both his shoulders, and blinked his eyes clear. He looked up and saw Maka's worried face, and wanted to tell her he was fine.

"Crona?" Maka said again.

Crona sat up straight, and stretched his arm out to touch Maka's shoulder, and when he did he could feel her. Crona looked Maka in the eyes, and felt his mind begin to clear.

"Crona, I want you to come back now, ok?" She asked.

Crona could feel tears begin to drip down his cheeks. His mind began to feel clear, just like the first time Maka had hugged him, and became his first friend in his completely lonely world.

Crona quickly hugged Maka, "I-I'm so sorry, M-Maka!" Crona cried. Maka wrapped her arms around Crona and hugged him tightly. Crona held his best friend like she might disappear, but he knew she wouldn't.

"Crona what do you have to be sorry for?" Maka asked.

Crona gulped, and tried to get his words out, "I-I failed. I didn't want t-to come back until I finished the mission. I'm sorry you had to come all the way h-here." Crona sobbed. That's what he and been working towards this whole time, and was it really all for nothing?

Maka pulled Crona back, and looked him in the eyes, "Crona." She said in a stern tone. Crona stared at her silently, and out of nowhere she pulled out a book, and tapped him on the head. Crona stared at Maka blankly. "I'm not here because you failed your mission, Soul, me, and all our friends came here to help you accomplish it. Don't you dare start thinking you've done anything wrong, because you haven't, am I clear?"

Crona stared at Maka for a short moment before nodding his head 'yes.' Crona didn't feel like he could argue with Maka, but he still intended to prove himself and complete his mission.

"Hey! I hate to break up your little love fest, but the hosts might need some help." Ragnarok said, causing the two to remember the matter at hand.

Crona looked up and saw his other two friends shoving both swords into Sider's shoulders, keeping him pinned to the ground.

Crona released Maka and grabbed a hold of Ragnarok.

"Crona?" Maka asked.

"I'm ok, but I want to be the one to finish this." Crona said as he smiled back at his friend.

Crona walked up to Sider, who was trying to break free from Ragnarok's twin blades. The fight had taken up most of his energy, and without the use of his weapons, the kishin egg was trapped, "You fucking kids won't win! We'll kill every last one of you! Our master will feast on your souls along with every other weapon and meister who stands by Death!" Sider yelled.

Crona stood next to Sider and pointed the end of Ragnarok at the kishin egg's chest.

Sider went silent and smirked at Crona, "You think this is over lad? It won't be until Death City is brought to its knees." Sider let out a final laugh before Crona cut the palm of his hand once more, throwing the drops of blood above Sider.

"Bloody Needle." Crona said, the drops of blood became giant needles that stabbed all threw Sider's body at once. Sider continued laughing until his body disappeared, leaving behind a red soul.

Crona grabbed the red soul and held it for a moment before dropping it into Ragnarok's mouth.

"You'd think with the size that guy was his soul would be more filling." Ragnarok said as he licked his lips.

Crona turned back to his friends, "Tamaki, Haruhi, thank you both for fighting with me."

"Of course Crona." Tamaki said with his usual host smile.

"You two should probably get somewhere safe so the madness has a chance to where off." Maka said.

Soul transformed back into human form, "She's right, you guys don't want to take the chance of slipping completely."

Tamaki and Haruhi nodded their heads in agreement, "Crona, are you going to be alright?" Haruhi asked.

Crona gave a nervous smile while holding his shoulder, "We'll be fine. You should go check on the others, I'm sure they're worried."

"Oh no, Kyoya!" Tamaki said in a freaked out tone as he remembered his injured friend.

"We can go straight to the hospital, Senpai." Haruhi said in a calmer, but still worried tone. "Please be safe." Haruhi said to Crona.

Crona nodded his head shyly. Haruhi and Tamaki gave everyone one last look before running back towards the house.

"We should hurry and get to Kid. He's fighting one of the kishin eggs that was on its way here." Maka said before Soul turned back into weapon form.

Crona nodded his head once more, but before the two could move the ground began to shake. Crona could feel a powerful amount of madness appear. "That wasn't there before." Crona put a hand to his head as he tried to keep his mind together. This new madness was strong, and had appeared out of no where.

Crona looked at Maka, who was starring straight at something behind him in horror.

Crona crooked his head back, and felt his heart drop as he saw where the madness had been resonating from.

"Hello Demon Swordsmen." Hamelin said with a sharp toothed smirk.
