Emmett's arm healed but it took him a while. We still didn't know much about this strange elixir and how Jeremy's Dad got his hands on it and had it shipped to him monthly.

It turns out that we were getting help from Jeremy's Dad who was in fact a secret 'vampire hunter' after all. Claiming to kill 27 vampires last year.

I read all his journals that Nessie managed to find. This man was smart, the way he managed to kill vampires without getting himself killed was amazing. He also talked about me. He noticed the tattoo on my arm he writes about not paying much attention to it at first but when he began to see on my other pack members, he did his homework.

He knew exactly what I was using the correct term 'shape-shifters'

I didn't know what he meant that he was happy I wasn't a severant to the moon. But Nessie went off to tell me that he was happy that I wasn't a actual werewolf. Nessie believes that because the Volturi hunted the werewolves down all the way into extinction. Nature found a balance and create us which was the shape-shifts to stop the vampires from becoming a dominant species. I loved the fact that Nessie was so smart. She was just amazing.

Things between us were good again or better. Nessie was getting clingy with me and I loved every second of it.

Sam and Emily had like a gathering at La Push. At mine's and Nessie's favorite spot. It was a secret area so secret that pack could be in our wolf forms here. When Nessie came to La Push this where she came and this is where I would find her. It was surrounded by huge trees that's why no one else knew about it. It wasn't covered in sand or dirt but with like green grass and if you walk down then a small meadow of flowers. The pack liked to come here too because of the cliff that lead into deep waters. But I came across this place when Nessie was about 6 and i saw a beautiful sunset with dolphins, I just knew Nessie would love this place and she did. I noticed that none of the pack came here unless it was with me and Nessie. Everyone was here. Sam, Emily, their youngest son Daniel. Paul, my sister Rachael, their second son Nicholas, their youngest son Billy, my dad, Jared, Kim, Claire, Quil, Embry, Brady, Collin, Seth, Leah, Sue and I arrived with Nessie. I loved the fact that my family loved having Nessie around well you know except Leah. Sue describe her as the sugar to our coffee not only is my life better with her but so is every else.

Nessie was picking fruit from the table and talking to Claire about some school drama. I didn't really care but they were close enough for me to hear everything.

"Who's that? Talking To Seth" Nessie asked. I looked to see who it was. It was some guy about 6 feet tall lightly tanned and body built like us in the pack. Nessie just keep looking more like staring at the guy.

"Samuel" Claire answered. Wow Samuel, he 16 turning 17 this year. Samuel is Sam's and Emily's oldest son. There was a coven of vampires at Forks when Samuel was like 10. Samuel showed early signs phasing into a wolf. He had trouble control his tempter. He always getting in fights in school. Samuel was just struggling with his life here so they were forced to send him away to the best private boarding school, they could afford, Paul and my sister doing the same thing with Joseph their oldest son, a year younger then Samuel though Joseph wasn't out of control like Samuel, my sister didn't want Joseph to be part of the pack.

"Oh my god. Little Samm?y" Nessie questioned still staring.

"Yeah" Claire said.

"Oh my god. Oh my god"

"Pick it off the sand Nessie"

"What?"

"Your jaw that dropped to the ground"

"I can't believe- when did he get here?"

"Yesterday"

"Oh my god"

"Yeah Nessie I get it he's "oh my god" compared to the last time you saw him. He was all nerdy looking and chubby"

"Well he's certainly not chubby anymore"

"Yeah well that's what happens when your shipped off to-" Nessie cut Claire off.

"Oh my god he's looking" Nessie said and quickly turned away. Samuel was looking towards Nessie direction. It looked at like Samuel was asking Seth about Nessie because Seth was now looking towards direction too. Samuel looked at Nessie and smiled while was still avoiding not looking his way. Samuel walked towards Nessie and Claire.

"Hey" he greeted. Nessie turned around.

"Thanks for the fruit Nessie" Claire said. She took Nessie's bowl of fruit and walked away.

"Hi" he greeted back.

"I'm-" Nessie cut Samuel off.

"Sammy" Nessie said and Samuel smiled at her and Nessie smiled back.

"Yeah" Samuel said. Nessie started picking a fruit again.

"Still not eating anything with a face, i see"

"Yeah pretty much"

"So how have you been?"

"I've been better"

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing. Umm how have you been?"

"Actually, I'm feeling a lot better. Now" Samuel said smiling at Nessie. Nessie was just looking at him but then looked down

"That's good" Nessie said, turned around and started picking fruit again.

"So do you have a boyfriend or are you like dating anyone?" Samuel asked nervous. Embry, Collin, Jared, Kim and Claire all of sudden were paying attention to their conversation as much as I was now. Nessie was silent for a moment.

"You know what. I hardly know you so personal questions are off limits"

"What? we practically would have grew up together if my dad wouldn't have never shipped me away or did you forget all the time I tried to make you go swimming" they laughed.

"Yeah i remember... I also remember you dropping to the floor-" Samuel cut her off.

"That was one time but I was little on the chunky side so I couldn't really runaway from Flash" Samuel joked and Nessie just smiled at him.

"Yeah. Well I'm actually faster now by the way"

"And I'm actually fitter now so I can run after with the squirt gun longer"

"You never caught me and you never will, Little Sam"

"I aint little anymore" Sam said. Nessie looked up at him and smiled.

"No I guess not"

"Hey, do you remember the time me and you wandered off into the woods"

"Yeah... and i also remember you pushed me into the lake" Samuel laughed and shook his head at her smiling.

"Your never gonna let the go, are you?"

"You pushed me into the lake, knowing that I didn't know how to swim"

"No let me correct you. You fell into the lake and I tried to catch you-"

"With your foot?"

"I jumped in right after you to save you"

"Well it was the right thing to do" Samuel laughed and Nessie joined in.

"Yeah I got my ass kicked that day"

"Well did you honestly think I was gonna let you get away with that. You know, you were really mean to me. Now that I think of it I don't know why we i hung out with you. You were always picking on me"

"Well I guess it was cause" Sam started and looked Nessie right into Nessie's eyes and she looked at into his.

"i had a really big crush" Sam said. A second later Nessie looked away.

"but don't worry... I'm over it now" Samuel said smiling at her while Nessie just looked at him.

"Good to know"

"I'll talk to you later" Samuel said and walked away.

"Unless you can swim now"

"i caught you later Little Sammy!"

"Aint little no more!" Samuel yelled back here. Nessie smiled.

"You always be that chubby little boy to me!"

"And you'll always be that little girl that ran away from me just cause she knew I would chase after her" Samuel smiled. Nessie just shook her head and shyly smiled back. Nessie watched Samuel. Claire went to go talk to her right after.

"So how long are you gonna be lusting over Samuel?" Claire asked.

"What? I'm not lusting-"

"Really first with jaw dropping. The laughing and smiling. And that eye to eye flirting conversation" Nessie was still eyeing Samuel. I looked over at him and he was taking his shirt off. I looked over at Nessie. Her eyes went widened looking at him. I looked back at Samuel. He give Nessie a big smile before diving in the water.

"Now with drooling over him" Claire said. Nessie turned around to face Claire.

"What did you say?"

"Earth to Nessie.. i still believe your not lusting over him"

"Claire, come on. You know I don't see any human like that"

"Samuel not human remember. he's Sam's son"

"Being a werewolf is hereditary. It has to be triggered plus you know my situation. I don't want him to think that I'm with him just cause I couldn't have Jacob" Nessie lowered her voice with the last sentence. I couldn't believe that everything we been going through Nessie was actually seeing it as a friendship because obviously thought that she had no chance with me anymore.

"He's a guy Nessie. They don't have that type of emotion. Plus I heard when he finally admitted to having a crush on you"

"You knew that? "

"I think everyone knew but you. I guess that's pay back for Quil" Claire said. Nessie playfully pushed Claire on the shoulder.

"Owww Nessie. don't forget that you have vampire strength"

What started off as a good day quickly came bad. Every now and then Nessie would look at Samuel. She watched him wrestling with Brady and Collin. It was like I was completly invisible to her. Nessie sat on the sand. Isolated from everyone here. Seth, Embry, Quil and i talked about switching up the shifts and starting to up our patrols but in a way that fitted everyone's schedules.

Nessie started to walk towards us. She put her arms around Seth neck and he looked to see who it was.

"Hey, I'm stuck" Nessie said. Me, Embry, and Quil just looked at them. Nessie put a notebook in Seth's face. He took and looked at it.

"Could you help me?" Nessie asked.

"Let's go get my guitar" Seth said and she smiled.

I watched Nessie and Seth. I saw how they talked to each other, how they sang and played guitar to each other, how they smiled and laughed with each other, how they helped each other.

"Those two get closer more and more everyday" Sue told me. She looked at me.

"Are you... okay with that"

"Yeah, why wouldn't i be?"

"Jacob. You know that I can tell when your lying"

"It's just. Look at them Sue" i said. Nessie was looking at Seth while she sang words that I wouldn't hear while he played guitar.

"How do you except me to be okay with that?"

"Seth, would never do that to you" Sue said saying it the exact same way Leah did. Seth left Nessie alone while he went to go put away his guitar.

"That's what I'm hoping for"

"Why don't you get tell her that your there now. And take all this stress off your shoulders"

"You don't think I've tried. But there always someone in the way between us. If it's not Edward, it's the rise of her family. Seth, Jeremy then everyone else. My timing is just horrible with her"

"She likes you Jacob. I can tell by the way she lights up when she looks at you. She spents more time with us than with her own family. You need to tell her how you feel soon or she'll begin to think that all you two would be... is friends" Sue told me. While both looked at her.

"She's smart, caring, beautiful and has a even more beautiful heart... It won't take long for her to find someone who wants the same thing as she does and is willing to give it to her" Sue told me while Samuel took a very close sit next to Nessie.

Samuel the guy that just admitted to my girl. My girl that he had a crush and it was clear that he still liked just by the way he looked at her with such interest

Samuel was no longer a expecting brother of mine but some else... My competition.

That's was the only way I thought of Samuel as my competition, nothing else.
