"Ugh… I need a brake…" I groaned as ran into a crouch, my hands on my legs, and took in deep breaths trying to relax myself. Sweat creped down my skin and my hair was damp and slightly clinging to my skin. A whole other year has passed me by since I came back from Hawaii. The kids can now speak better, walk and Loki and I have been teaching them to read, write, colors and to count.
We decided to go camping to get some training done. For the next three months. It's perfect too, the Grand Magic games are coming up once the three months end and my friends are coming to join us to train. I'm excited to see them all and to train with them. But right now I feel like lying down for hours.
"I'm sorry Lady Lucy, but you must keep training. You have given me strict orders to not take it easy on you." Capricorns voice called out followed by his footsteps getting closer. I looked up to see him casually walking over to me.
"I know that but I didn't think you would make a lesson plan for me! You even put in what I eat and sleep. Not to mention I thought we would start off easy and it would progress from their…." I sighed as I slowly jogged at what can barely be faster than a walk.
"You only have 3 more years left Lady Lucy." Capricorn commented "And since you where able to get a three month brake from work to prepare for your tour, you have a lot to do. Of course we will train while you are on tour as well, but that will be more advanced things. For now you will be training your body and your mind."
"Yeah… I understand Capricorn." I huffed as I whipped my brow. "I'll continue to work hard… uh… how many more do I have to do?"
"It was 100 laps, you have 20 left. After that you may get some water and we will begin the next one soon after." Capricorn stated as he walked next to me as I continued to jog. I sighed in frustration and continued forward. Once I got to 5 laps Capricorn made me 'pick up' imaginary rice off the ground as I jogged and 'pick out' imaginary apples from a tree.
"Ahhh… my arms and…legs feel… heavy…" I breathed out once I finished my last lap.
"I'm surprised you didn't faint." Kats voice rang from next to me. I looked up at her to see her offering a cup of water with ice cubes. I smiled and gladly took it and began slowly drink it, letting the cold liquid cool down my body slowly.
"Ahhhhh that's exactly what I needed!" I sighed once I finished the water.
"Oh by the way Erza and the gang will be arriving tomorrow for the training." Kat smiled as I gave her the now empty cup.
"Good. I won't suffer alone." I sighed as I stood up right and placed my hands on my hips.
"Lady Lucy, it's time for hand to hand combat." Capricorns voiced boomed from behind me causing me to jump in fright and quickly turn around and stumble back.
"Ah… Capricorn you scared me." I sighed as I placed my hand over my beating heart.
"I apologize Lady Lucy but it is time for your combat training with Leo the Lion."
"Huh?! But I don't even know how to fight! And you're putting right into a fight!? With Loke!?" I began to panic.
"No Lady Lucy. He's going to show you fighting moves first. You're not going to go into a battle right away with no skill. I do not wish for you to get injured. I am no savage Lady Lucy. Now I will go get Leo." Capricorn smiled and left, leaving Kat and I to stand in silence, staring at the spot he was standing.
"Damn… He told you." Kat spoke after a few seconds. I sweat dropped
"No kidding…" I mumbled and let out a sigh "what is Loke doing anyway?"
"Oh he's with the kids. Their napping… I should probably go take care of them while Loke and Capricorn train you."
"You don't saaaay" I smirked as she pouted.
"Hey be lucky I even came today! Without me you would be crawling all the way back to the camping tent over there to get water." She pointed to our camp which was about 16 feet away.
"… oh look it's Loke! You should go watch the twins for me!" I smiled and waved then Capricorn waved and disappeared. I guess Loke has everything under control…
"Hahahaha you got lucky for now girlie" Kat smirked when she saw the guys coming over. "Try not to collapse. I don't think I can carry your heavy self."
"I am not heavy!"
"I know you're not but…. Like…" Kat began as her eyes began to roam to my chest "they make you heavy."
"… turn your ass around and to watch the kids." I replied, cheeks burning
"hahahahah you ganna watch my ass as I go?" Kat joked as she rolled her hips a little.
"pht you wish"
"Every night" she smirked playfully
"Get the fuck over there you whore" I playfully pushed her with a wide smile playing itself on my face.
"Only for you my love!" She squealed as she hugged me.
"Oh god! Hahahah!"
"hahahah Gray has Juvia, I'll be your Juvia!"
"Nooooo! I don't want a stalker!"
"It's too late for that." Kat whispered into my ear
"Oh god you are so creepy!" I laughed causing Kat to laugh. She patted my shoulder and backed away from me.
"Alright I'll go watch the kids. Good luck!" She waved and jogged over to the tents.
"Alright Luce! Ready to train?!" Loke smiled enthusiastically. I turned to look at him to see him in casual clothes on. He wore a dark green jacket with four pockets, and a small pocket on the shoulder. Under he had a dark brown shirt and his usual pants but in a dark green to match his jacket. It feels like he's ready to snipe someone honestly.
"hehehe yeah I'm ready! I got my energy back! Well I'm still in pain but you know what I mean!" I smiled
"Good. I was thinking that today we focus on protection. It's barely 12:30, good thing Capricorn woke you up at 8:00am now we have a lot of time." Loke stated as he looked up at the clear sky.
"Alright, but if I may why are we doing protection all day today?"
"And tomorrow as well if necessary" he added taking off his sunglass and putting them in one of his pockets. "Also its so situations like the one two years ago never happen again."
"Situations like two years ago…" I mumbled in a little confusion as I thought back when all of a sudden I was knocked down to the grassy ground with Loke on top of me.
"How will you get out of a situation like this. No keys, we can't come save you this time, nobody can. You have to save yourself." He whispered to me in a husky voice. I could feel my face heating up.
"Uh… um…" I began trying to get up by I couldn't really move. Then his words sunk in and my eyes widened in realization. My mind flashed back to that moment two years ago. When I was kicked out of the team, when I was slapped, when I was raped… my body suddenly stiffened and I began to freak out a little, not completely knowing it was Loke and he won't do anything.
How do I get out of this? What if I ended up in this situation again? I don't know how to protect myself in situations like this! I wouldn't know what to do! All I would do is frail my arms and legs around like crazy hoping I hit the attacker hard enough to give me time to run. I would yell hoping to get help… but then… what if they shut my mouth with a cloth like he did? What would I do? Before I knew it tears began to blur my vision and slide down my cheeks.
"it's ok Lucy." Loke's husky voice whispered as he began to wipe my eyes. "It's only me Luce."
"I… I know… it's just the thought of knowing that I don't know how to get out of this…. That it might happen again…" I sniffed and closed my eyes.
"That's why we're going to do protective training. That's way if something like this happens you'll know what to do."
"o-ok." I sniff and opened my eyes "I'll work hard." I smiled. He smiled back at me and we just stared at each other before I remembered our position. My face began to heat up again.
"U…umm… Loke…" I mumbled. Loke gave me a questioning look then realized our position himself.
"Aww come on princess it's not that bad, I kinda like this position." He smirked down at me a hint of playfulness shining in his eyes.
"hahaha no. Now get off, we need to train."
"Ouch…" Loke pouted "you wound me princess." He got up anyway and helped me up.
"Alright then…" I began as I dusted myself off a bit. "What's first?"
"first is your stance." Loke stated as he got into a typical fighting stance. "This stance will help you keep balance and power zone. Right foot back, always, and left foot forward. left hand forward in an acute angle and right hand near your chin and protecting your ribs, just don't bend your elbows down that much. And never flare your elbows out like a bird flapping it's wings." As Loke described it and showed me step by step I began to mimic him.
"Good but your stance is a bit off. Try this, stand up right, put your feet together. Good now split your right foot out and make an L with your feet." He said as he twisted his right foot out making sure the soul of the feet still touched. "Now face that foot forward. Good. Now do that two more times, your foot will move back but keep your left foot planted, don't move it. Ok good. Now if you're not conferrable give it a small hop. Your foot should be where your shoulder and it should be on your toes. When you get into the position you end up changing levels, almost like your holding yourself, but you're not."
I did as I was told and slightly hopped and I became comfy. After that Loke showed me how to adjust my arms and made me stand there in that stance for about 20 or more minutes. My arms began to burn, and my legs began to really feel the burn I began trembling in my pose as I attempted to stand still.
"Oh god… I didn't think this would hurt…" I mumbled as I shut my eyes hoping it would give me some sort of strength.
"Alright you can relax now." Loke smiled as he relaxed as well, he was doing the stance with me.
"Ahhhhhh I didn't think that would hurt!"
"hehehe yeah just wanted you to get used to the stance. Now every time I say 'Change Levels' you have to get into the position immediately. And yell something like 'stop get away from me I'm being attacked' alright?"
"Alright I understand."
"Good, now Change Levels!"
"ah! Stop get away from me…Help! I'm being attacked…!" I yelled in uncertainty.
"hahaha it's ok. You just need to get used to it. The more you yell when you get into the position and attack."
"Ahhhh I have to yell when I attack?"
"Only when it's self defense. When it's a normal fight for a mission, training or for the Grand magic games then you don't yell unless you wind up needing help."
"Ah… alright…"
"That being said. Let's go eat. After we will do the groin kicks, push kicks, palm strikes, safly falling on your back, shrimping, bridging and other stuff."
"Food… that sounds nice…" I smiled
"Mamaaaaa!" two small high pitched voices called out. One sounded further than the other. I turned around to see Luke waddling over to me while Layla just hopped and waved at me from camp.
"Hiiiii!" I called over as I waved. Layla squealed and Luke began to waddle faster. I kneeled down and opened my arms after Luke opened them and called out my name again. Once he got close enough he jumped into my arms and we hugged.
"Good morning… Afternoon Luke! You today?"
"I'm goOod! La-Layla is good too! We both good!" Like chirped with a wide smile
"Really? That's grate to hear!" I smiled as k slightly pinched his cheek making him giggle.
"Kat mae food. Layla and I helped! I heped more than her. I make best food Lala eh foOod!" He commented with pride
"Really? I can't wait to try it!" I smiled
"Loke get food too?" Luke asked as he looked at Loke with hopeful eyes
"Yeah I will. I'm not ganna pass up food that you made champ!" Loke grinned as he swooped down and picked up Luke in a quick motion, only o receive laughing squeals from him.
"I want up too!" Layla's voice came out of the blue. I looked down to see her pouting with a blush on her cheeks.
"Alright then! Here we goo!" I yelled and I did the same Loke did to Luke and lifted Layla's small body off the ground. She squealed and lugged as well. We ran around the clearing all the way back to the camp site where Kat was waiting with a plates of food ready.
"Someone should have stopped me…" I stated as I put Layla down gently and sat on the ground trying to catch my breath. God my muscles ace and holding Layla and running didn't help at all. My kids are pretty light but when my muscles ace like this they weigh a thousand pounds.
"Hahaha don't worry Lucy you'll get used to it." Loke smiled as he put Luke down.
"I hope so." I weekly smiled then forced myself up and on to my log that has a one person portable table with food on it already.
"Mama ok?" Layla asked
"I'm fine" I smiled up to her. She continued to stare at me with unsure eyes. As did Luke.
"Don't worry guys. It's just that your mom is working hard to become a strong wizard." Kat backed me up as she picked up her spoon to eat.
"Magic!" Luke yelled in excitement "wike Fair Tail! Rght Lala?"
"No wike Saibobooth" Layla looked at Luke with a missives look.
"Fairy tail!"
"Saibobooth!"
"Now now kids no fighting" I sweat dropped. They really like choosing the opposite things just so they can get under each other's skin.
"You guys want to watch your mom and I train?" Loke asked all of a sudden
"yaaaaaay!" the two cheared
"Then eat your food."
"Ok!" they smiled and began to eat their food.
"Sometimes I feel you guys are the parents…" I sighed as I took a bite of my food.
"Now now Lucy, you're a first time mother, it's fine, normal even." Loke smiled over to me "Kat has younger siblings, so she grew up known how to deal with kids, and I'm just naturally fabulous."
"Pppht… fabulously conceited…." Kat mumbled as she chewed her food.
"heheheheh"
"…Hey Kat I really love your dress, you look beautiful, it really brings out your eyes and makes your smile pop." Loke suddenly complemented catching us off guard. Kat stared at him then began to slightly blush and smile.
"You think so? I actually got it at the thrift store. It was 10$"
"And that is why you're not on fashion magazines like Lucy is." he sweetly smiled then got up, washed his plate with the make shift sink we made from river water, and walked over to the clearing while saying he'll be waiting for me to finish.
Kat and I sat there in a stunned silence. I broke the silence by laughing.
"That son of a… LOKE!" Kat yelled once she snapped out of it. "Stop laughing Lucy!"
"Hahahahaha he got you! Oh my gosh!"
"I could be a fashion model like you if I wanted." She huffed as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Then do it." I smiled at her only for her to pout
"But it's so much woooork. I already have enough work being a voice actor. I think I can do without the extra." She said as she began to eat again.
"I think mommy prettier." Luke's voice suddenly spoke up
"Kat pretty too." Layla stated. I turned to look at them and they were speaking to each other and Layla had a thoughtful face.
"She is, but mommy is still more pretty." Luke stated as he moved his little spoon in the air.
"she is." She smiled
"mama is… is like a… a… one of the thing with a circle on top the head and huuuuge wings." Luke tried to explain as he moved his hands around to show her an example.
"An Angle!" Layla smiled as she pointed her spoon at Luke.
"Yeah! Angle! Mammy like Angel!"
"Kat like… like… Like… huh…" Layla sat there in thought along with Luke thinking
"Oh! Oh I know!" Luke yelled all of a sudden. "Mammy not a Angle! Kat a Angel and mommy the geek goodness afromighty!"
"Oh! Yeah! Mama afromighty!" Layla smiled. They both cheered at touched spoons as if they where swords.
"Humph I can be Aphrodite." Kat pouted childishly.
"I don't think I'm Aphrodite. They're just being dramatic." I giggled with a slight blush painted on my cheeks.
"Well say what you want because I think I AM an angle." Kat smirked.
"Pht whatever." I rolled my eyes and got up to wash my plate as well. When I finished I began walking to the feild "I'm going to train."
"Me too!" Luke suddenly yelled running after me
"Oh! Me too! Me too!" Layla also yelled as she began to run with Luke as well.
"Hey! Wash your plates you two! … Seriously!?" Kat groaned when the kids giggled and ran over to Loke.
"Sorry Kat. I can help if you'd like" I sweat dropped
"No its fine. You need to train. And I need to sleep!" Kat smiled
"But… you just woke up three hours ago…"
"What's your point?" She grinned over at me. I sighed with a slight giggle and turned to jog over to the kids and Loke.
"Hey Lucy ready to continue?" Loke smiled once he noticed me, Layla sitting on his shoulders and Luke hugging his leg and sitting on his foot.
"Hahaha only if your done playing."
"Uh.. right… alright kidos time to let uncle Loke go." He took Layla off his shoulders and gently took Luke off his leg. "Alright… CHANGE LEVES!"
"Ah! STOP, GET AWAY FROM ME!" I got into the position as quickly as possible and yelled as I fixed myself.
"Woaaaa! Me too! Me too!" Luke and Layla shouted as the quickly got next to me and also got into a sloppy position. They looked down at my feet and arms and fixed themselves then looked up at Loke and eye with wide happy eyes.
"hehehe alright I don't think they'll leave until you teach them too." I stated.
"Figured… alright then" Loke showed them how to do the stance properly then began to teach us left and right groin kicks, left and right push kicks, palm strikes and elbow strikes.
By the time we finished the kids and I were on the floor excused. I'm honestly surprised the kids didn't give up. Usually they would be interested in something for a few minutes then leave. I feel so proud of them!
"Mama we… good…?" Layla asked as she stared at the sun setting sky.
"We… stwong… wike mammy" Luke spoke up
"Yeah… I'm so proud of you two for sticking to it till the end." I smiled over at them. They turned their heads to look at me with their eyes shining with pride then gave me a huge grin before they drifted off into sleep.
"Well they sure did work hard." I looked above me to see Loke looking down at the kids with a soft smile.
"No kidding. But they can't just sleep on the ground. We should take them to the tent. At least there they'll be sleeping on the mattress." I said as I lifted myself off the ground. We each took a kid and carried them to bed. We got ready for the lunch Kat made and even saved some for when they wake up.
