/Didn't have time for a long chapter today so here is just a small bit of fluff before Kelly's first day back :D
17 weeks- Kelly looked on to his side to the sofa which held a sleeping Shay. He had been released for 3 weeks now and having under gone a full physical assessment Boden had finally allowed him to return to work for his shift today. Shay had been back for two weeks now and she was getting more and more tired after every shift causing him to worry about her to no end, though they hadn't spoken to words confirm their relationship it was clear to both of them and everyone else that saw them that they were officially in the couple territory.
They had been up about an hour earlier when she had been sick and had retreated back to the sofa where she had fallen back to sleep. "Come on sleepy we have to get up and get to shift." He grumbled softly as he moved over to Shay lying on her back making sure to support his on weight enough not to hurt her or the babies. "Babe come on we got to get moving." He grinned as he nibbled on her ear lobe slightly. With a groan Shay pulled her knees up causing her bum to press into his groin a small satisfied grin appearing on her face as she knew just what she would be doing to her lieutenant. "Make me my breakfast, toast just the way I like it." She mumbled sleepily from the couch laughing as he moved with a groan. Rolling over she looked up at him with a grin watching as he walked across the floor in his pajama bottoms, her wearing the matching top.
"Hey." She called over to him as she sat up gathering her work clothes which were hung up on the curtain rail where she had left them last night. "I was looking at this baby magazine and there is going to be a photographer in town next week doing pregnancy photo shoots. Want to get one?" Shay asked him as she slowly dressed. She had officially had to give in and order maternity work clothes so they fit her better but she had taken to wearing Severide's long sleeved jumpers. It wasn't strictly part of her uniform but Boden had let it slide, it made him a little proud watching her walk around with it on over her bump, Benny hadn't always been the best father and he always liked to think he looked out for the squad lieutenant seeing him become a father and Shay a mother was very proud for him.
"What like just you?" Kelly asked from the kitchen area where he was buttering the toast with mayonnaise.
"No like, a couple one. Me you and the bump." She grinned at him as she tugged the jumper over her head making her way to him padding across the floor bare foot.
"I don't know I love you and all Shay but I don't know if I'm into the whole cheesy family photos and stuff… besides don't they make you take your clothes of for that sort of thing?"
"Yes, but don't act like that would bother you Kelly Severide half of Chicago has seen you naked." She beamed at him as he fed her toast. "Besides I really want to." Shay looked up at him with a small grin and bit her lip. Severide gave her a small sigh and shook his head. "How much is this going to cost me?" He asked her quietly pressing his lips to hers.
"30 for the session and then the prices all depend on what photos we want afterwards." She answered happily. "Now go and get dressed." She ordered kissing him again quickly before tapping his bum watching happily as he headed up the stairs to their room. It had officially become a joint room now and Shays old room had begun to take form as a nursery. Kelly had painted it in a light yellow colour and was begging to paint on small pictures around the walls. Casey had begun to build two cots for them and everything was looking like it was going to be perfect.
