Where was he?
I needed to say goodbye. I needed to tell him to take care without me.
"Carlisle."
There he was.
My mouth was trying to form the words. I couldn't speak over the screaming.
Who was screaming?
It was me.
"Edward, get her down to the basements quickly. We can't have her in the hospital, this isn't a human problem."
Human problem?
Arms.
Tight and cool around my overheated form.
"Bella, it'll be okay."
"I have loved you for a thousand years, I'll love you for a thousand more."
Speaking is impossible.
He knows I love him though.
A bed.
A cool sheet.
Everything is black.
"It's venom."
VENOM?

Someone is moving my arms.
Someone's pressing down on the pain.
My stomach. That's where it is.
I try to tell them. But I can't breathe.
Air. I just need air.
Edward.
I can see him.
My eyes are fixed on him.
He's beautiful.
"I will be brave, I will not let anything take away what's standing in front of me."
I don't deserve him.
I try to swallow, but my throat is tight.
"Baby."
Baby?
My eyes close.
"Impossible."
I can't hear everything. I try. I try so hard.
I can only hear certain words.
"It's a baby, Edward."
"Every breath, every hour has come to this."
Impossible.
Edward echoes my thoughts.
Connected. We're connected.
I love you.
I wonder if he heard that.
"Do something. Anything."
Something's gripping my hand.
Or is it me that's gripping.
Everything seems like a blur.
Nothing's real.
"And all along I believed I would find you. Time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years, I'll love you a thousand more."
Everything goes blank as I feel a sharp pain by the veins in my wrist.
"Come on Bella… Please wake up, love."
