Isaac woke to the sensation of being pulled off the couch and before he could even sit up and register what was happening he was dragged across the hardwood until he slammed into the basement door. As he grasped at his pained head the door opened with an eerie creak. He couldn't see or sense anyone he was alone but he felt a sharp pain in his ankle as he was dragged through the door, he grabbed onto the door frame but he couldn't stop his body from sailing down the rough steps. Once he landed at the bottom the pressure on his ankle disappeared but the wound that remained was dripping blood. Isaac tried to illuminate the dark basement with his eyes but it remained dark and his claws wouldn't extend. Why was he so helplessly human? He tried to turn for the steps and run back up but a deep growl froze him in place. As if from the shadow his wolf stepped forward until Isaac felt his hot breath across his face.

"What are you doing here?" The wolf's voice startled Isaac who felt his body flinch back.

"H-how…how are you out of my head?" The wolf sat and its deep laugh filled the dark space.

"You let me out…called me out; to protect you."

"I've lost my mind…or this is a nightmare." The wolf grabbed Isaac's arm with his teeth and bit down until blood dripped from his mouth before letting go.

"Does that feel real enough Isaac?" Isaac held his bleeding arm close to his chest and tried to move back from the wolf but he stood with threatening posture and Isaac stopped.

"Why are you doing this if you're supposed to protect me?!"

"You aren't safe here…I had to show you."

"Let's go then…" Isaac said hesitantly but the wolf nodded softly and nudged Isaac up the stairs. Once they were out of the front door Isaac had half expected the wolf to disappear but he remained at his side. "Why am I not healing?"

"You know why." The wolf said softly before turning and walking up the street. Isaac hesitantly followed not really knowing why but feeling like it was his fault.

Scott ran into the hospital and to Isaac's room but he only found his mother gripping Isaac's patient file to her chest.

"Where is he?"

"He was going back home. Why?"

"I'll explain later." Scott ran back out to where Deaton, Derek and Peter were waiting. "He's not here. My mom said he was going back to my house."

"No." Derek said shaking his head. "His scent leads the opposite direction." Scott picked up the scent but there was something off about it.

"Where would he be going?" Deaton asked.

"Let's find out." Derek led the way.

Isaac's ankle and arm were only hurting more and more so after they had been walking for some time he put his arm over the wolf's shoulders and held onto his fur. Before he realized where they were going they were taking the elevator up to Derek's loft. Isaac slid the door aside but Derek wasn't here only Cora.

"What happened?" She ran over to him and helped him limp over to the couch so he could sit down. He was unsure what to say when he realized she couldn't see the wolf even though it was right beside her.

"I'm alright."

"Who did this?" Isaac was unsure on what to say but her eyes were pressing him for an answer.

"I guess I did." Her brow furrowed at the words and she took him by the wrist to inspect the bite on his arm.

"Why aren't you healing then?" He shrugged and pulled his arm away and she nodded with acceptance letting go of his wrist. "I would dress it for you but we don't have anything." The wolf lay down with a sigh and Isaac relaxed his shoulders. They sat in silence for a long while until she ran her finger tips over his forehead and down his cheek. "You're burning up." He grabbed her cool hand and pressed it to his flush cheek. "I can't imagine what you're feeling…" The words caught Isaac a little off guard but no more so than her lips suddenly brushing against his. He only hesitated for a moment before kissing her back. Suddenly she was straddling his lap and pulling her shirt off. "Promise you won't tell Derek?"

"I promise."

Derek froze when he realized Isaac's scent led back to his childhood home and then he turned with a grimace to the blood trail leading out of the house and up the street.

"Why would he come here?" Scott asked but Derek entered the house and followed the blood trail into the basement. The only scent present was Isaac's.

"What are you picking up Derek?" Deaton asked with a worried brow.

"Just Isaac…but he was struggling down the steps…he's hurt here." Derek gestures to the blood puddle on the cement. "Then he walks up the stairs and back out."

"What do we do once we find him?" Peter asks.

"We have to help him kill the wolf." Deaton replied.

"And if he can't?"

"Then the wolf will kill him and all of us."

Cora pulled her shirt back on and sat next to Isaac on the couch once again as he buckled his belt. The silence was comfortable so they remained there until they were both nodding off.

"Wake up." Isaac opened his eyes at the wolfs words and he could suddenly hear the elevator ascending so he slid his arm out from under Cora and stood next to him. When the doors opened Derek, Scott, Deaton, and Peter were standing there with grim faces.

"Isaac, are you okay?" Scott reached out for him but a rumbling growl lowered his hand. He thought for a moment the growl was coming from Isaac but it was coming from beside him.

"What's going on?" Cora had woken at Scott's question.

"Get over here." Peter said sharply and she stood next to Derek with a confused frown.

"What's happened to you Isaac?" Deaton asked and they all held in a breath waiting for Isaac to answer.

"They won't tell me." Isaac started leaning off his bad ankle against the wolf and they all turned their heads in intrigue as he seemed to lean against open air. Derek shifted his eyes to red and the wolf seemed to be Isaac's shadow with no definitive formation.

"No Isaac I meant what happened to your arm and your ankle?" Deaton clarified and Isaac leaned away from the wolf again.

"He bit me."

"Who bit you?" Scott asked. Isaac looked to the wolf by his side whose fur was hackling and his growl only growing louder as he poised to strike the group.

"Don't." Isaac said in a low whisper that made the wolf turn to him.

"They all know the truth. They're choosing to lie to you…to betray you." Only Isaac heard the words but Derek slowly moved forward seeing the wolf turn to Isaac.

"Don't listen to it Isaac…" The wolf turned to Derek and snapped it jaws and lunged but Isaac grabbed its fur and held it back.

"No." The wolf turned on Isaac again and forced him to take several steps back as he advanced.

"No? This is what you want Isaac."

"I don't want him to die." Isaac stopped moving back and the wolf stopped advancing.

"He won't return them…we'll have to take them back. We could just eat his brain."

"I'm not eating anyone's brain and neither are you!" The wolf grabbed Isaac's already bitten arm and tore into the flesh once again. Derek slashed the shadow's face with his claws and he felt the warm spray of blood across his face and the wolf let go of Isaac. Scott grabbed Isaac and pulled him toward the door but the wolf threw Derek across the loft grabbed Isaac's ankle and ripped him from Scott's arms. Scott could see the wolf now as it drove its face into Isaac's chest and disappeared inside of his body.

"What the hell just happened? What was that thing?" Cora yelled out and Derek ran to Isaac but he was unconscious.

"How do we get it back out?" Derek asked Deaton.

"We don't…Isaac has to kill it."

"How is he supposed to kill it? We should just kill him while he's out." Of course these were Peter's words.

"SHUT UP!" Derek and Scott yelled at the same time. Deaton leaned over Isaac and pressed his fingers to his pulse and Derek turned to Cora with a glare and Peter laughed and laughed.

"What?" Scott asked slightly annoyed by the laughter at a time like this.

"Come on Scott. Can't you smell her on him? And him on her?" Scott couldn't hide the shock on his face or the jealousy that practically exploded off of his shoulders. Cora's face flushed slightly and she sat back down on the couch.

"I don't really think that's important right now." She said with a sigh and suddenly Isaac was pulling away from their concerned hands until there were a few feet between them.

"Isaac?" Scott leaned forward slightly and Isaac grabbed his head in pain. Deaton very slowly moved closer to Isaac.

"Isaac…are you alone?" At first Isaac started to shake his head no but his eyes filled with fear and he nodded a yes. They could only watch as he struggled for words before his own hand came down over his mouth, he pulled his hand away only to have his entire body slid across the concrete into the table. The lights flickered and the door shivered.

"It's like the damn exorcist in here." Peter said nonchalantly.

"Oh that's really helpful!" Scott shot back without taking his eyes off Isaac.

"What are we supposed to do?" Derek asked truly loathing this helpless feeling as he watched Isaac's muscles tremble and the soft flashing of his eyes as he struggled for control.

"That depends on who is about to have control over Isaac's body." Deaton said with some intensity and Derek couldn't simply watch anymore. He grabbed Isaac up in his arms and held him close. The tension nearly crackled in the air as they waited. Isaac grasped onto him and Derek kissed his forehead until the trembling stopped.

"What do I do? Just tell me what to do?" Isaac whispered into Derek's neck and they all breathed a sigh of relief that Isaac was himself.

"Kill the wolf." Derek whispered back.

Stiles was going absolutely stir crazy in his hospital bed. He clicked the TV off and paced around before peeking his head out of his door only to see a deputy standing guard. He sighed and flung himself back into bed before grabbing his phone to text Scott; Soooooooo bored! Come use your wolf powers to break me out of here before I literally die! Stiles sent it and anxiously waited for a reply only to see Scott had read his message but hadn't replied. Allison didn't bother knocking as she entered Stiles room.

"I need to know what's going on." She said in a frustrated teeth clenching way.

"Well that makes two of us."

Isaac's flesh felt as if it might tear apart while his bran liquefied and poured out of his ears. He grasped onto Derek who was doing his best to take away his pain without the others noticing. Isaac was finally able to struggle out a few words and beg Derek for orders but he was confused by his response. 'Kill the wolf.'? He couldn't…the wolfs part of himself after all. Is that what Derek meant? Kill yourself? That didn't make sense either. Why would Derek betray his trust to keep him alive and then tell him to kill himself? With what felt like one last painful snap in his head Isaac was unconscious. Derek continued to hold Isaac for sometime before Deaton asked to look at him.

"What can we do for him?" Scott asked as he knelt down with them.

"Tell me what you see." Deaton said as he flashed a small light into Isaac's eyes. Both Derek and Scott looked Isaac over with glowing eyes.

"I don't see it anymore."

"Me either. Is that bad or good?"

"This is a highly unusual pattern of behavior…"

"So you basically have no idea what you're doing." Peter quipped and Derek practically carved his face off with his eyes.

"What's unusual about it?" Scott asked.

"The bites, turning on him when he defended Derek and manifesting back inside of his body…highly unusual."

"How did it manifest in hi-" They all froze as Isaac sat up suddenly. They all expected him to bolt or lash put but he was still and slowly laid back down.

"I'm exhausted." Isaac said softly.

"What's the last thing you remember Stiles?" Allison was sitting on her bed as he struggled to remember.

"Driving to pick Scott up before school, but that was days ago."

"Are you sure you can't remember anything else?"

"I have amnesia!"

"Let's try and jog your memory then." She quickly left the room only to run back in grab Stiles by the wrist and run with him to the elevator. Once they arrived at the McCall house she asked; "So you came to pick Scott up…did you go inside?"

"Yeah…I think." Stiles went around to the back kitchen door and as soon as he opened it his mind was flooded with images; Derek covered in blood with arrows covering his back, his own hands trembling and dripping with blood, running up the stairs. Stiles put a hand on his stomach and Allison quickly sat him down at the table.

"What did you remember?"

"Did you attack Derek here?"

"No, why would you ask me that?"

"I remember seeing him with a back full of arrows here…so much blood."

"What else?" Stiles head was pounding as he tried to put the images in some sort of order that made sense.

"I don't – oh. Huh oh." Stiles grasped his head as more memories flowed over his eyes. "I remember Isaac berating me into eating something…what was it?" Stiles asked himself. "He was only eating it because he's…"

"Because Isaac is what Stiles?" Allison pressed and Stiles shook his head.

"I can't remember…thanks for getting me out of the hospital but I think I just need to go home."

"You're sure that's al-"

"Allison. If you need to know everything so badly why don't you go find Scott and ask him?" Both a little frustrated Allison dropped Stiles off at home. Stiles flopped into his bed with a sigh and then a groan. As exhausted as he was he couldn't stop reliving the memory of walking in on Derek and Isaac in Scott's kitchen…the days were all still blurred out burdens but he remembers Isaac eating the waffle pickle and Scott leaning in to say; 'The baby is nearly ready.' Accepting that Isaac was pregnant Stiles mind flooded with fuller memories of the days before…the only thing he couldn't remember was getting into the jeep with Isaac and the horror that must have followed.

"I'm fine." Isaac shrugged while everyone stared at him.

"You can't be serious? You do remember a giant smoke wolf demon biting you and burrowing inside of your body right?" Peter asked.

"It's just my wolf…" Isaac said softly.

"No Isaac…it's a demon. It's in the form of your wolf to confuse you." Deaton stated.

"Why would there be a demon inside of me?"

"Demon's often latch onto those weak in body and mind."

"Oh so I was being possessed while this too horrible for me to know about thing was happening?" Isaac turned to Scott and Derek who were again feeling the weight of their decision.

"Possibly."

"Possibly? Well thank you so much for your incredible knowledge." Isaac's frustration was evident as he stood to leave and they blocked his path.

"We need to figure this out together Isaac." Scott tried to reach out but Isaac pulled away.

"Tell me what I did."

"What?"

"Tell me what I did that was so horrible I wanted to die. Tell me and I'll stay." Scott struggled for words because half of him wanted to tell and the other understood why he shouldn't.

"You didn't do anything horrible…something horrific happened to us…you don't really want to know." Derek said with a tense jaw.

"Don't tell me what I want…I'll tell you. I want the truth or I want you out of my life." Isaac pushed past them to the door. Deaton waited an appropriate amount of time before looking to Cora.

"Are you feeling okay?" Everyone turned to her and noticed she was pale and extremely tired looking.

"Fine." She shrugged.

"No, really how are you feeling?" Deaton pressed.

"Exhausted why?"

"But you were sleeping when we came in."

"So what?"

"Would you say you feel unusually tired?"

"I guess…what does it have to do with anything?"

"It could mean everything. Did you only start feeling this way after you were intimate with Isaac?"

"Yeah but I don't see how that could mean anything. I mean it was…vigorous to say the least."

"Why does their sport fucking matter?" Peter asked and both Derek and Scott scowled at the term and Deaton ignored him.

"Would you usually be this exhausted?"

"No…now that I think about it." Cora said softly and Deaton sighed heavily.

"What does it mean?" Scott asked.

"Demons feed off of humans. They are drawn in by any sort of negative situation especially mental anguish and they feed off of it. This demon inside of Isaac is going to great length to lie to him – to make him believe that he is simply his wolf…he's feeding off of Isaac and he fed off of Cora during their sexual encounter."

"Why?"

"To grow stronger. The stronger he gets the more he can take over Isaac's mind and body to do with as he pleases."

"What happens when Isaac has nothing left to feed the demon?"

"He'll die."
