Hey guys. Did you like the last chapter? Tell me what you think about Paul and all that lovely jazz. :) So, here's the next chapter. I don't own Twilight.
He leaned in one last time and kissed my lips with such love. I could get used to this.
My breath comes out in short, hot huffs. My green Nike shoes hit the dirt and rocks. Placing my left hand on the fallen tree with green moss on it, I bring my legs up and heave myself over it. My feet slam onto the ground, my hair swishing back and forth behind me. Sweat drips down my forehead, toward my temple. The music pounds in my ear as I race forward.
Do you feel like a man, when you push her around? Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground? Well, I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's gonna end. As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found.
I've been running for about two hours now. Another pro for turning into a giant, furry dog. I can go on and on and on without dying. It's pretty great. Everything continues to run circles in my head as my legs begin to shake. Jacob. The bloodsucker who broke my ribs. Bitchy Bella. Paul..
Being the dumb ass that I am, my eyes don't catch the root of a tree popping out of the ground. Crashing forward, my hands press themselves against the twigs and dirt, push my body up and over, forcing me to do a summer salt or two before I come to a halt. My breathing is harsh, my arms and legs shake from exhaustion. Sweat drops roll down my nose and onto the ground before me. I stay there for a few seconds, allowing myself to catch my breath.
Pushing myself up, I brush my hands off and start to jog back the way I came. With the music still blaring in my ears, I got back to my house in about an hour or two. Jumping up the first few steps of the front porch, I take one headphone out of my ear. Walking inside, I head towards the bathroom. Stripping down, I look myself in the mirror. My cheeks were flushed, and my hair was becoming curly from the sweat that was soaking each strand. My gaze made its way down to the side of my stomach. When they came across the long, ugly scar, my eyes fell shut and a shudder took over my body.
Taking a deep breath in, I open my eyes, trying to avoid the scar, and jump into the shower. Taking the water as hot as it can go, I let it pound on my back, releasing the non-stop growing knots. Coming out of the shower, I change into gray jeans, and a white v-neck with my black converse. I throw my hair into a messy bun and head into the kitchen to get some food. As I pass the broken dresser that Jacob threw me into, my eyes caught a small looking object. I stopped walking, and turned around, walking backwards to pick it up. It was a sticky note.
Roses are red.
I looked around, confusion running through me. I saw another one. Reaching for it, I look up and saw a path of them. Grabbing each one, it turned into a corny poem. The words were written in Jacobs hand writing.
Violets are blue.
I grab another.
Your name is Shadow.
And another.
And that is how my world was without you..
Opening the door, I saw one that was stapled to a tree. Racing down the steps, I reached out and took it.
When we first met, you broke my nose.
A smile crawls onto my face, remembering what he was talking about.
When we met, my world started to become less dark.
The sound of crashing water became louder and louder.
When we first met, I became the luckiest man alive.
Instead of gravel being crushed under my feet, it turned into sand.
Roses are red. Violets are blue. Your name is Shadow, and together, we make the perfect two.
The small smile that was on my face just a few moments ago, turned into a overwhelming smile. I grabbed the last note that I saw.
Look up.
Doing as the note said, my gaze went up and locked eyes with the perfect color of brown. I locked eyes with the man I loved. I locked eyes with a love struck, smiling Jacob. Before I knew it, I was in front of him. Without saying a word, he took my hand, intertwining our fingers, and lead me forward. Never breaking our eye contact, we made out way to a red blanket, with candles surrounding us, and a basket full of food.
We sat and ate. We talked and laughed for hours. Bringing my hand to cover my mouth as I uncontrollably laughed, I looked up and connected our eyes. I could feel the invisible connect between us. This morning I was thinking about everything that was wrong in my life, but at this moment, everything seemed perfect.
I laid down on my back as I pushed out, "Oh my gossshhh. I am so full."
Jacob laughed and did the same and pushed his arm under my head, letting me use it as a pillow. I looked to my right and saw his large hand. Reaching up, I slowly pushed my fingers between his. It was like they fight perfectly, like a puzzle.
Wow, I am getting way too corny.. I couldn't help but think.
Sighing, I look up at the stars. "You're making me be gushy." I complained.
He turned his head and pressed his hot, plump lips against my temple. "Is that a bad thing?"
"I..I don't know. I just feel like we should be in a movie right now." I looked up at him. "Just everything seems too perfect, you know?"
He took his free hand and gently grabbed my chin with his index finger and thumb. "It is perfect. Wanna know why?" I shrugged, not daring to say anything to ruin this. A small, half smile made its way onto his lips. "It's because I'm with you. It's because we're together."
Tugging on my chin, he slowly inched his way towards me. When we were about half an inch away from each others lips, Sam sprinted up to us. His breathing was heavy and short. Jacob and I both groaned, pulling away from each other and slammed our heads down. Maybe we were perfect for each other.
"May we help you, Sam?" I asked, my annoyance visible.
"I-I don't know how to tell you this, Shadow.." At the sound of concern and worry in his voice, I shot up and was in front of him in less than a second.
"What?"
"I was on patrol with Embry and Paul. And..uh, we caught the scent of a bloodsucker..." I rolled both of my hands, trying to push him to go faster. His eyes snapped towards Jake, giving him some sort of look I didn't understand. Jacob was behind me in a instant, his hands gripping my hips.
"Dammit, Sam! What's wrong?!"
"Shadow..We followed it back to your friends house..Summer." At the sound of her name, my heart dropped. "We went inside and everything was trashed. I-It looked like someone had a fight in there...Then..then we smelt blood."
My legs gave out a little. My eyes fell shut, my head feeling like it was going to explode. Jacob pulled me against him, trying to keep me steady.
"What are you saying?" Jacobs deep voice rang through the air. Clearly annoyed that he wasn't getting to the point fast enough.
"She's gone. Summer was taken by a vampire.." Those words made me remember the quote my mother always told me. Expect the unexpected..
Ohhhhhhhhh snap. What do you guys think? Didn't expect that, did ya? I thought it was about time I brought Summer back into the story. It was a perfect day, then Boom! Not so much. You gotta expect the unexpected. Review! Please please please! Remember, more reviews the faster I update! :) Until next time.
